Starting from Black River Bay, we will sail along the coastline to Tamarin Bay where the dolphins are seen. We will take you on a breathtaking snorkelling trip outside the reef of La Preneuse where you will have the opportunity to feed the fish in their natural habitat. MADIANA 3 – FONTAINE PAJOT MAHÉ 36 (12 PAX)

Based on an Olivier Flahault design and with a Joubert / Nivelt hull, this boat is built for safe navigation with comfortable, bright living areas and a fully protected cockpit alongside the saloon.The Mahé 36 allows you to move around freely onboard, enjoying comfort while navigating or while moored. She also presents excellent sailing performances.

She is equipped with 3 cabins. One hull is reserved for the master state room with attached lavatory. The other accommodates two double cabins, each with all the comfort needed for a relaxing cruise.

MADIANA 2 – NAUTITECH 475 (23 PAX)

The Nautitech 475 is a high-performance catamaran, reliable, stylish and made to standards ensuring comfortable and safe sailing that will satisfy the most demanding sailor. Priority has been given to comfort and ease of movement.

Her cockpit, on the same level as the saloon, is accessible through two large doors, and is sheltered from the sun and the rain by an innovative, cap-shaped roof extension.

The live-aboard principle A live-aboard is exactly what it says: you live on board of a vessel for a period of time. You eat, sleep, shower and relax on board, alternated by swims, dives or island visits. The moment you join a live-aboard, you check in a floating and movable resort with no options to check out until the end of the trip. This is the beautiful paradox of live-aboard cruises; you like to go to undiscovered, remote and untouched places, but once there, you experience indeed that there is nothing or nobody to run to. Therefore it is not only wise to reflect on destinations and schedules with care, but take your time as well to compare facilities, comfort and services, taking budget into account. The Catamarans Madiana 2, Madiana 3 and Mis Stress are boats that are suited for live-aboard experiences in Mauritius. We concentrate primarily on private charters which allows you to actually rent the whole boat including the crew for a certain period of time. Up front we agree upon port of departure and return and we make an itinerary according your wishes, considering season and budget. You travel with your family, friends or company and in consultation with us you might be able to alter schedule and itinerary at the spot. Depending on the number of guests, a private charter could be cheaper per person, than staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel. 

The journey The moment you arrive at the airport, we will be waiting for you and accompany you to the boat. Once all are aboard and the luggage is stored in the cabins, you will meet crew and get a briefing about boat regulations, safety procedures and get a short impression of the trip to come. Sailing out of the embarkation point you will have time to get settled and check out the boat while enjoying your first drink at sea.  All pre-scheduled trips have fixed routes and points of anchorage. The proportion of sailing and anchorage depend on the itinerary of course. Most of our catamarans have an average cruising speed between 7-10 knots (1 Knot = 1 Nautical mile/ hour = 1.85 km per hour) in normal weather and current conditions. During the day you either snorkel, or visit islands. To get you to these spots, the live-aboard use  tenders  (as well called dinghies). Powered by outboard engines, these tenders are fast, maneuverable and hardly have any draught which makes islands accessible. After the land tour the dinghy will pick you up and escort you back to the catamaran. Meals are served directly on the plate or in buffet style. You like to join others at a table or eat by yourself at the bowsprit is totally up to you. If you require special food because of medical reasons please let us know in advance so we can make provision and provide this service. At night you can sleep in your cabin or find a place on deck and sleep under the open sky.  Our live onboard Cruises brings you a varied program of island hopping with visits to traditional villages and houses, different cultures, enjoy local art works, beautiful sceneries, impressive flora and fauna. These day excursions will be alternated by some swimming and snorkeling.

Take your family or a couple of friends and spend a wonderful day aboard this catamaran. The crew of the Madiana will do everything to avoid the crowds and will find you a quiet spot where you can enjoy your day - this is why we have chosen them.

You will start your day at the marina at La Balise in Black River and head out toward the reef for some snorkeling. With some luck, you will encounter dolphins on your way.

Refreshed after your swim, you will then sail to Ilot Bénitier, and at lunchtime, the crew will prepare a scrumptious seafood barbecue  with a salad, fresh fruit and refreshing drinks,  which is served on board the catamaran.

After lunch, you will spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the great Mauritian sun, before sailing back to terra firma.

Ilot Gabriel & Flat Island Catamaran Cruise on North Coast

Enjoy an unforgettable cruising experience onboard of one of our catamarans based in Grand Baie to the north islands. The catamaran motors out of Grand Baie at 08h00, heading for the islands, passing Gunners Coin, before reaching the lagoon between Ilot Gabriel and Flat Island. If you are lucky, you may see whales and dolphins during this fun adventure.

The Catamaran will set anchor in an amazing lagoon of Ilot Gabriel, you will get to disembark on a Flat island where you can swim and snorkel before lunch is served on board. Vegetarians are catered for too: notification should be given upon booking. You can then go and discover the white sandy beaches of Ilot Gabriel, enjoy a sunbath and simply relax and indulge in this perfect setting before embarking on board to sail back to Grand Baie. During the sail back, the Catamaran will stop at Gunners Coin for the last snorkel.

The expected arrival time back to Grand Baie is around 16h00. This cruise offers the combination of all 3 islands of the North.

Are there going to be other people on the boat with us?

Can we play our own music on the boat with us?

Absolutely. Our boats are equipped with sound systems that allow both a traditional jack as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Are drinks included? Is there a cooler on the boat?

We have you covered as most of our cruises come with bottled water and soft drinks as well as ice cold beer, local Rhum & snacks. Should you need a bottle of champagne of spirits for a special occasion simply ask for our wine & spirits menu.
