The LEEN 56 combines all the advantages of the explorer-style of yacht, with its dynamic appearance, outstanding seaworthiness and optimised interior volume. This trimaran exudes balance and serenity.

The main deck features a large kitchen, a dining area and the owner’s cabin. The owner’s cabin occupies the trimaran’s entire starboard side. The bed and office are on the main deck level and offer majestic views over the sea. The bathroom with shower and separate toilet can be reached by a few steps down to the hull’s lower level.

The saloon/wheelhouse, entirely glazed, located at the front of the boat accessible by a few steps from the saloon, is a unique and very cosy living space, and its 290° panorama is magical. The layout of the wheelhouse makes it possible to combine a large corner sofa, a large TV screen and a space dedicated to navigation. The very comfortable navigation station can accommodate two people.

A gangway door gives direct access to the deck to facilitate docking, undocking and mooring manoeuvres. Protected by the high bulwark encircling the deck, the exterior circulation on each side is carried out along covered exterior gangways, a distinctive sign of true ocean-going vessels.

The standard layout includes three double cabins with shower rooms. The two other double cabins are fitted in the central and port-side hulls. The LEEN 56 can be fitted with additional single-bed cabins and separate shower rooms.

In the six-cabin layout, the LEEN 56 accommodates up to 10 passengers. The quality furniture is designed in light-coloured wood and made by quality cabinetmakers.The layout and fixtures of the outdoor areas (cockpit and flybridge) are left to the buyer’s desires.

Convenient movement

Almost all important areas on the cruise motor trimaran Leen 56 are on the same level, deck transitions are comfortable and spacious.

• Direct access to the deck through the ladder door facilitates mooring maneuvers.
• At the bow of the trimaran there is a fully glazed wheelhouse with navigational equipment and a cozy saloon with a luxurious L-shaped sofa where you can relax with friends or family members and enjoy the views.
• On the main deck of Leen 56 there is a large, fully equipped galley, comfortable dining area and owner's cabin.
• You can get to the flybridge from the captain's cabin via an external staircase. Under the stairs leading to the flybridge there is a heated closet for jackets, sea boots or diving suits. Protected by a high bulwark that wraps around the deck, you can walk to each side from outside via covered outdoor gangways - the hallmark of true ocean-going ships.
• The owner's apartments with sea views through large glass panels is located on two levels at once on the starboard side of the trimaran. The bedroom has an island bed, a desk, a bookcase, large cabinets and a wardrobe on one level. There is a direct descent into the bathroom on the lower level.

Additional options

The standard layout of the Leen 56 motor trimaran includes 3 double cabins with shower rooms: a two-level owner cabin, a guest cabin located in the front of the boat in the central hull with a separate shower room, and another guest cabin located in the port side hull with a separate shower room. There are also 2 sinks and a separate toilet.

The layout of the trimaran can be modified by the owner to include two aft cabins with one or two berths and separate shower rooms. Leen 56 configuration for 5 cabins with a capacity of 11 passengers is available if you want to buy the trimaran for charter purposes.

The buyer can also change the layout and equipment of the cockpit and flybridge.

New Leen 56: Long-Legged French Trimaran

Leen just launched its first power trimaran in La Rochelle, France, an innovative 56-foot explorer cruiser with hybrid power. It will have its official unveiling on April 10.

Although the Leen 56 is the French yard’s first power tri, it’s hardly its first boat. Indeed, the company has been making well-received sailing trimarans for more than a decade under the Neel label. Leen is simply Neel spelled backward.

Taking advantage of the trimaran’s volume (the beam is 27 feet), the Leen 56 makes creative use of the main deck. A large galley, dining area and lounge are on the port side; the owner’s cabin, including an office, occupies the entire starboard side. The master head and shower are a few steps down in the starboard hull.

The wheelhouse is a few steps up from the salon, and it has a 290-degree view, plus a large sofa in the corner and a helm station with seats for two. A side door opens for immediate access to the deck.

The standard layout calls for two other cabins in addition to the owner’s suite. They are in the port and central hulls; both are double cabins and both have en suite heads and showers.

The boat is powered by a diesel, starting at 210 hp, with a straight shaft in the central hull. Twin electric motors are in the outer hulls. The outer engines provide easier low-speed maneuvering and docking, plus silent and emission-free running in port. They also provide a backup in case of a main engine failure.

The trimaran hull is extremely efficient, offering very low water resistance. The company expects the boat speed to top out at 25 knots, and to cruise at 12 knots, with a 500-nm range.

Fuel up once a Year. Transatlantic Range

Built in a highly efficient new hybrid composite panel system these innovative power trimarans have a range of 3,500 miles and may only be fueled up once a year. All models have a large diesel engine as main propulsion and electric drives in the outer hulls (amas). This allows for easy maneuvering in ports or silent autonomy on just the electric pod-drives.

The LEEN range is a true hybrid electric multihull and a large generator acts as an effective charging device or range extender, in case the main engine fails. With just the electric drives the boat is capable of speeds of up to 5 knots. Under full power and depending on model and engine choice, the boat can achieve 20 knots. Typical cruise is between 9-14 knots and consumption is a super-low 2l/hour. This is about 10 times less than a power trawler and twice as efficient as a catamaran trawler yacht.

Designed by Bernard Nivelt et Pierre Frutschi these boats are true liveaboard yachts that can be easily operated by a husband and wife team.

The layout, conceived and designed by Pierre Frutschi, offers 2 versions .

A version composed of 4 double cabins with bathrooms located in the central hull and in the side floats. A cabin with private bathroom and toilet occupies the front part of the trimaran’s middle hull. Another double cabin with private bathroom and separate toilet is fitted in the back part of the central hull. The two other double cabins with private bathroom and toilet are located in the port and starboard hulls.

The large saloon and galley are on the main deck on the same level as the cockpit.

The entire starboard float is then dedicated to the owner. The master cabin is located on the main deck and the shower, toilet, two washbasins and the dressing room, in independent modules, are on the lower level of the float. A cabin with a separate shower room and toilet, occupies the front part of the trimaran’s central hull. A cabin with a private bathroom and separate toilet is located in the back part of the central hull. Another double cabin with en-suite bathroom and toilet is located in the port float.

The saloon and galley are on the main deck on the same level as the cockpit.

A 3-cabin configuration is also possible if the back cabin of the central hull is replaced by a garage for the tender, ( layouts visibles on the top views of the LEEN 72 – 3 cabins ). The layout of the LEEN 72 can also be completed with one or two additional cabins: a double cabin at the back of the starboard hull with a shower room and toilet, a single or double bed cabin at the back of the port hull. In the 5-cabin configuration, if space is also retained for storage, the LEEN 72 will be able to accommodate up to 10 passengers.

Whatever the version, the fully glazed saloon-wheelhouse located at the front of the boat , accessible by a few steps from the saloon, is a unique and very cosy living space. The 270° panorama is breathtaking. The layout of the wheelhouse makes it possible to combine a huge U-shaped sofa, a large TV screen, a desk and a space dedicated to navigation. The very comfortable navigation station can accommodate two people. A gangway door gives direct access to the deck to facilitate docking, undocking and mooring manœuvres.

Access to the flybridge is via the cockpit or from inside via the deck lounge.
