Olympic Yacht Show 2022

The 2nd Olympic Yacht Show soon turned into a record-breaking event.

The premium in-water Show that came to an end on Monday 10th at Olympic Marine in Lavrio set a new record with regard to the number of visitors while, compared to last year, the number of exhibitors and yachts was also greater. The upward trend shows that there’s a great interest in quality marine tourism in Greece and proves that our country can boast top professionals in the yachting industry.

The 2nd Olympic Yacht Show opened its gates on October 7th and closed its gates on the 10th. From day one the Show attracted people’s attention with the number of visitors reaching 20,000 this year. During the Show, visitors had the opportunity to admire unique creations by Greek shipyards and yachts that made their debut at the Greek Show. Moreover, they got to talk with leading professionals of an industry that bolsters the Greek economy.

At the opening ceremony, during a warm welcome to his distinguished guests, Gerasimos Gerolimatos, the head of the Olympic Yacht Show Organizing Committee, noted that: “The Olympic Yacht Show is an exhibition that showcases, in Greece and abroad, the multi-dimensional yachting industry and brings together all the professionals of this important sector of the economy. Our goal is for Greek companies and Greek boats to have their own Show, in their homeland, and to be a pole of attraction for foreign buyers and one of the reasons for visiting our Show.” He then gave the floor to the owner of Olympic Marine, George Prokopiou, who set a very concrete goal: to make Greek yachting the number one yachting industry in the world. “There is no competition among us, only cooperation. Let’s make a promise now, enough with the wishes. Greek yachting will become number one in the world, just like Greek shipping.”

The potential of Greek yachting was the focus of attention of all the speakers at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Olympic Yacht Show. Among them were the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Yiannis Plakiotakis, who represented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Sofia Zaharakis and the Secretary General for Tourism Policy Olympia Anastasopoulou. The opening ceremony was also honoured by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Lefteris Avgenakis, the Commandant of the Hellenic Coast Guard Georgios Alexandrakis, the Secretary General of Ports, Port Policy and Maritime Investments Evangelos Kyriazopoulos, the former Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Evangelos Apostolakis, as well as Ioannis Rachovitsas, Honorary Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Police. The ceremony was also attended by MPs Vassilis Oikonomou and Katerina Monogiou of the New Democracy party, while the event was honoured by the Mayor of Lavrio, Dimitris Loukas, and the President of the Greek Marinas Association, Stavros Katsikadis, as well as the Managing Director of the Lavrio Port Organization, Georgios Vakondios.

The event was an international meeting point for the people actively involved in the multidimensional world of yachting. They had the opportunity to exchange ideas on the development of quality marine tourism; an industry that promotes our country around the world. The great interest in the Show and the ample coverage by international media have proved for yet another year that the Olympic Yacht Show has won the status of an institution and deserves a place among the leading yachting events in Europe.

The next day found the organizers already preparing for the 3rd Olympic Yacht Show. Everyone’s goal is to turn it into an efficient platform for the promotion of yachting; a powerful tool for the development of a top-quality tourism product, the perfect space for further interaction among professionals and, therefore, a think tank that will not follow trends but set them instead.

The 2nd Olympic Yacht Show was organized by ON DECK EVENTS at the modern facilities of Olympic Marine in Lavrio under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, the Ministry of Development & Investments, the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the Prefecture of Attica, the Marine Chamber of Greece, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Greek Marinas Association, the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Municipality of Lavreotiki.

Olympic Yacht Show 2022 to Open in Lavrio on October 7

Following last year’s successful event, the Olympic Yacht Show returns to Lavrio in Attica for its second edition, which is expected to be bigger and more diverse.

Organized by OnDeck Events, the Olympic Yacht Show 2022 will take place at the renovated facilities of the Olympic Marine in Lavrio during October 7 – 10 .

According to its organizer, the show has already attracted the attention of some of the largest yachting companies in Greece, while leading executives of international companies and shipyards have already confirmed their participation as guests, adding to the event’s “global allure”.

The number of yacht entries is also growing at an impressive pace, reaching over 100, with new models expected to debut during the show.

Furthermore, Greek shipyards including Olympic YachIS, Skipper-BSK, Technohull, Rafnar Hellas, Rock Marine, Seafighter, Olympic Ribs and Onda Tenders will take center stage.

“The Olympic Yacht Show aims to become a significant communication platform for the Greek shipbuilding industry. Greek yachts must have their own local show at home in order to attract foreign buyers; this is one of the main reasons for visiting the show,” said Gerasimos Gerolimatos , head of the Olympic Yacht Show Organizing Committee.

On land, the show will feature leading international companies that stand out for their exquisite services in the areas of equipment, technology and yacht support.

The aim of the Olympic Yacht Show is to become an annual nautical event and offer a platform for business discussions to yachting professionals and owners alike.

The 2nd Olympic Yacht Show 2022 will be held under the auspices of the Ministries of Shipping, Development & Investments, Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organization , the Attica Region and other organizations.

Olympic Yacht Show to go ahead in October 2022

Following last year's successful Olympic Yacht Show , the second edition of the event will be held from 7 th to 10 th October 2022 at the renovated facilities of Olympic Marine in Lavrio, Greece.

The highly-anticipated show will spread across both the floating pontoons and on land, giving visitors the opportunity to admire new yachts and browse over the best that the Greek market has to offer.

Organised by Ondeck Events, this diverse event has already attracted the attention of some of the largest yachting companies in Greece, while leading executives of international companies and shipyards have already confirmed their participation as guests.

The number of yachts participating in Olympic Yacht Show is growing at an impressive pace, with over 100 boats and yachts having confirmed to be present, including world premieres of new yachts.

The second edition will also feature a number of Greek shipyards, including Olympic YachΙS, Skipper-BSK ,  Technohull , Rafnar Hellas, Rock Marine , Seafighter, Olympic Ribs and Onda Tenders.

Gerasimos Gerolimatos, head of the organising committee for Olympic Yacht Show, commented, “The Olympic Yacht Show aims to become a crucial communication platform of the Greek shipbuilding industry.”

ONDECK Events is proud to announce the organisation of the 2nd OLYMPIC YACHT SHOW, an event dedicated to the premium yacht category. With a strong boost from last year’s successful debut, the yachting business scene of Greece renews its meeting in a bigger and even richer event.

The show will be held between 07-10 October 2022 in the modern and renovated facilities of Olympic Marine in Lavrion, and as last year, is expected to attract great interest both from Greece and abroad. Main goal of the show is to become a productive communication platform for the medium and large yacht categories.

More specifically, the OLYMPIC YACHT SHOW gives prominence to new yachts for sale belonging to the premium yacht category. It is the only yachting event in Greece with a clear orientation towards medium and mega yachts and to the growing industry that surrounds them. The leading companies of the industry will be strongly represented at both the upland and the floating area, in a well-organised and elegantly designed environment. In this framework, there has been special provision for large category yachts, such as Luxury Ribs and Luxury Day Cruisers.

The premium in-water show, that took place for the first time last October in Olympic Marine in Lavrion, placed Greece in the epicentre of international interest, attracting more than 15.000 visitors from Greece and all around the world.

Boasting a rich and longlasting experience in the motor yachts and international events markets, ONDECK Media & Events delves into the preparations for the prime organisation of the 2nd OLYMPIC YACHT SHOW, take place in the cutting-edge facilities of Olympic Marine. OMIKRON YACHTS FOLLOWS UP ON THE SUCCESSFUL DEBUT OF THE OT60 WITH ITS FIRST APPEARANCE AT THE OLYMPIC YACHT SHOW

Omikron Yachts, the new brand of Olympic Marine’s established shipyard, is presenting its first production model, the OT60, at the Olympic Yacht Show 2023 – an event that the Greek nautical institution intends to make memorable. The OT60 was recognized at the Venice Boat Show last June as the herald of an attractive new segment in the market, combining the easygoing lifestyle and quiet efficiency of sailing with the convenience and space of a motor yacht.

At the 2023 Olympic Yacht Show, held from the 19 th to the 22 nd of October, Omikron Yachts will have on display two OT60, energized by a summer of positive first impressions and fun on the water, which continued from its debut in Venice this June. The new model proposes a unique approach to sustainability at sea that embraces technology with an eye to the future, making a perfect representative for Olympic Marine shipyard.

A testament to the capability of the Omikron Technical Office, the OT60 is an elegant eco-cruiser, that provides more space at a comfortable pace. Four cylinder engines and a custom hull design by Juan-K, optimized for cruising at 10-12 knots, allow the OT60 to travel up to 1000 nautical miles, consuming just 1.5 liters per nautical mile. The inspiration for the OT60 comes from the waters surrounding Olympic Marine, the habits of visitors and the local culture, rendering the chance to observe her in perfect harmony with her natural habitat.

The interior and exterior design are the work of Lorenzo Argento, who studied the project around the goal of a beautiful journey, which he realized in both appearance and reality. Unexpected spaces play an important role, such as the double-deck annex for guests and the highly functional rooftop arrangement. Ciarmoli Queda Studio styled the interiors with natural materials, neutral colors and tactile finishes, rendering every space and surface on board both comfortable and inviting.

In this context, there will be also a specially designed area for Luxury Ribs and Luxury Day Cruisers.

Olympic Yacht Show 2021, Greece yacht show will start in October

Between 1-5 October 2021, the Olympic Yacht Show will gather more than 95 newly-built premium category vessel models at the Olympic Marine in Sounio. The show is organized by ONDECK Events in collaboration with Olympic Marine SA.

The event aims to be a guiding reference for the Greek yachting industry while developing high-quality tourism, as expressed by Gerasimos Gerolymatos , the Director of ONDECK Events, and the mind behind the Yacht Show.

Up until now, 95 of the latest vessel models, the best in the international market, have secured berth at the event. Jaguar Land Rover will be berthed ahead of other vessels. The most exclusive models will offer visitors a chance to take a test drive on the sea to Sounio .

The Hellenic Coast Guard will also be present at the event. 2020 was the year that marked 100 + 1 years of service of the Greek Maritime Police and the Greek Coast Guard to the Greek nation and Greek shipping.

Organised by ONDECK Events in collaboration with Olympic Marine S.A ., the Olympic Yacht Show is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the Attica Region and the municipality of Lavreotiki.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocketed potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to charter in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter) Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Price: TBD Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter) Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter) Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000 Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.
