Private Yacht Charter Updates & Safety Information

We are excited to get back to cruising and helping you plan an unforgettable private event on the water in Miami! As we resume rentals for all luxury vessels, please know that the health and well-being of our guests and crew members is our number one priority. We are closely monitoring the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as our local health departments and authorities on the best practices while operating. Our ample yachts feature multiple decks with indoor and outdoor spaces. We will continue to assess, refine, and update our standards to keep you safe as new information is available.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Social distancing.

• Per current guidelines, our 60” round tables will be set six feet apart for six guests, as opposed to our previous ten, which will offer ample room and additional space between guests.
• Our flow-through dining arrangement will allow us to control the number of guests in the dining area at any one time, as well as the flow to stations, which will limit lines and guest contact.

Employee Requirements

• All employees are required to do a self-check prior to the start of their shift. All staff uniforms will adhere to CDC guidelines. This will include masks constantly and gloves while handling food that will be disinfected/changed for every event.

Cleaning & Sanitation

• We will be providing hand sanitizing stations throughout the vessel, at boarding on the dock, on every deck, as well as near food and beverage areas.
• We will have a specialized team thoroughly clean and disinfect key surfaces and areas before and after each event, with two hours specifically designated to ensure that this task is prioritized.
• To maintain cleanliness throughout the event, cleaning specialists will be tasked with ongoing cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch and common areas, which include but are not limited to handrails, backs of chairs, doorknobs, bars, counters, high tops, low cocktail tables, coffee tables, bathroom sinks, toilet handles, etc. These tasks will be completed per the CDC and Miami-Dade County guidelines.
• Our bathrooms feature ample individual stalls. These areas will fall into our 30-minute cleaning guidelines and will be maintained and serviced by our cleaning specialists. Bathrooms are equipped with disinfectant soap, hand sanitizers, and disposable hand towels.

Serving Procedures

• Glassware, flatware, and tableware will be washed, disinfected, and steam cleaned before and throughout the event. Rolled up flatware and water glasses will be provided for each guest and presented individually at each place setting.
• Welcome drinks are freshly poured upon boarding in sanitized glassware. To curb the need for congregating at the bar or making long lines, our staff will be providing cocktail service to all guests, as well as handing out welcome drinks.
• All food and drinks will be handled, presented, and served to guests to minimize cross-contamination. Butler-passed hors d’oeuvres will no longer be passed. Instead they will be arranged as a station. All platters and food stations will be staffed with an attendant behind plexiglass who will be responsible for personally serving each guest.
• Our new and improved buffet techniques will feature plexiglass to protect the food while guests are served by a gloved attendant. Tables will be called one at a time to prevent crowding. Our existing procedures will ensure that our buffet is staffed to serve guests individually and erase the need for self-service. This measure will prevent serving utensils from coming into contact with any guests.
• Our bread, salad, coffee, and dessert will be served tableside, eliminating the need for self-service. Salt, pepper, and condiments will be individually packaged for each guest.
• If additional steps are required, we are happy to provide them as requested.

My husband got me a sunset sail cruise on the Caribbean Spirit as a Christmas gift because it's one of my favorite boats I can see from my apartment. And I can say actually going on it only secured this as being my favorite boat out on Biscayne Bay! The Caribbean Spirit is a gorgeous double sail catamaran with a beautiful red color (hence, why it always catches my eye from my window when it emerges on the bay). It offers a relaxing sailing cruise on the bay, great for those ready to unwind and relax at the end of the day rather than a offering a raucous party. Captains Kiara, Joe and Blue make sure you have a safe and comfortable boat ride with their sailing expertise. We spent some time chatting with Captain Blue and it was great to know more about the area and sailing in the bay. The tunes they play are eclectic and always good vibes. And they offer a complimentary champagne drink after sunset. Will definitely bring future visitors on the Caribbean Spirit, my favorite boat on the bay!

A friend of ours rented this catamaran for his 40th bday and Captain Adam and his crew were great. The boat can fit 100 but we were a group of 40 and had a blast. We set sail from bayside and docked on Nixon key for a few hours. The boat comes equipped with noodles, a trampoline and a big float to sit on. The bartender Toni was excellent and the staff was so friendly. Shout out to Karen for making sure that we reapplied sunscreen on a gorgeous day. Would totally recommend this charter for a big celebration as it was the perfect day in the sunshine with friends.

WARNING!!! Do NOT charter this boat with captain Adam-- he physically and verbally assaulted a passenger today!!! And when we complained the owner defended him! He took no responsibility for creating a hostile and unsafe environment. The captain was yelling at us from the moment we arrived on the boat with a crappy attitude. At one point he thought two people were using the bathroom at once (apparently that's illegal) and he banged on the door until the person got out. Only one person was in the bathroom and he was pissed! He used so much force that he injured his wrist and had to put on a wrist brace right afterwards. After that he kept watching everyone from the roof of the boat (rather than steer the ship) hoping to find bad behavior to justify his attitude, and at that point a passenger allegedly took a pill from his bag and took it (could have been a Tylenol for all we know) and he grabbed the passenger and yelled "this c*nt is the reason this charter is cancelled!" then he took the passenger's bag dumped it out on the boat deck. He cancelled the charter at this point, about 1.5 hours into it, and kept yelling expletives the whole way back. He instructed the staff to no longer serve any food or beverages, he turned off the music, and we had to turn back around. The bartender Toni also got very rude at this point. The whole time on the return he's yelling at everyone and cursing us out. There were about 60 people on the boat, he didn't have to be so unprofessional and rude to all of us. Captain Adam should be fired for assaulting a passenger, but instead the management defended him and accused us of "rampant drug use" which was ridiculous... It was honestly the worst boat charter experience Ive witnessed and the most aggressive and rude captain. He needs anger management. Avoid this charter if you don't want to be harassed by the staff, accused of doing drugs, have this crazy guy banging on the bathroom when you're trying to pee, and then your whole group gets kicked off. Then this abusive man is defended by the management. There are so many options for boat charters where the captain and owners don't abuse passengers. Go elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.

The worst boat experience in Miami- Stay away from Caribbean Spirit boat and captain Adam if you don't want to get disrespected-The captain of the boat, Adam, is unbelievably super rude and foul mouthed with anger issues. He verbally assaulted us after he got our money. He yelled and used very bad curse words. I have been living in Miami for more than 10 years and been on several boats and never have had any bad experience with any until Caribbean Spirit and captain Adam. We booked this boat for a weekend day and paid thousands of dollars but was treated extremely bad- the worst customer service and boat experience in Miami. We have the video of the captain yelling swear words at us ( c*nt)- he ruined our weekend.

Out of all the cruises in the bayside area, Caribbean Spirit is the hidden gem that you really have to look for! It's located at the end of Bayside Market place a little past Hardrock Café. Once you sea the ocean (hehe), you'll see the Caribbean Spirit! You pretty much have a whole 2 hours to enjoy viewing the Miami skyline and sipping drinks. The captain just gives a quick safety briefing when you board the cruise and then embarks. The crew is extremely friendly as they serve you drinks and offer to take pictures for you. There were probably about 15 passengers total so it definitely did not feel "touristy". There's also nice music playing in the background that adds to the atmosphere of the whole cruise. There's also a complementary glass of champagne toward the end of the cruise! Be aware that since this a sunset cruise, that there is only one cruise a day. After March 12, the cruise departs at 6pm. Before that, the cruise departs at 5pm. Recommend buying tickets at the dock for $30 a person, rather than $50 for an online reservation.

The boat ride was fun and educational. I loved being out there with 7 other couples. We had a blast. If your in Miami this a must do.

We were a very large group consisting of mostly men (25 and up). You can tell the captain was very uncomfortable with the style of group from the moment we boarded. None the less, the trip began with the rules being laid out, apparently broken and the trip terminated. To be fair, the captain had every right to terminate the trip due to the rules being broken for allegedly using drugs, however, he had no right to call anyone, let alone a client, a Cunt. It was uncalled for, unprofessional and completely degrading. Accused people of going into the bathroom together and banged on the doors yelling instead of speaking to the trip organizer or those individuals separately. Rules broken or not, a business owner does not treat anyone in that manner. Every time the captain addressed a matter, he did so compulsively yelling at the top of his lungs and using profanity. This was not a wild group, everyone was very laid back and 100% respectful even after being treated the way they were. I will say, the rest of the crew was respectful and sweet, but unfortunately, I do not support the way things were handled by the captain, and therefore, do not recommend such an unprofessional company. There are many other companies that will provide better service and on a professional level.

I went on the four hour South Beach Sail trip on a Friday afternoon. Staff was organized and boarding was easy. The boat is very clean. You can park at Bayside's parking garage for $12. You can bring your own cooler with snacks and drinks. They provide a jug of ice water, sodas,pretzel sticks, and peanuts. You can purchase bottled water. The trip out to the reef takes about an hour. You get two hours to swim, snorkel, lay on a huge mat, or sit on the big tube. We had to alter our anchor point because there were too many jelly fish at the barcardi bar reef. Instead we anchored close to the jetties. The captain gets in the water with you and takes pictures of you with his go pro. You can purchase the pics off the company's website. There are two bathrooms on board. There is inside seating (no a/c) or you can sit out on the deck. There are shaded areas outside also. Overall, it was a fun trip and seeing the beauty of Miami from the water is always spectacular.

Terrible trip.. best part was getting off the boat.. the captain was super rude and no one felt comfortable around him.. he was yelling at top of his lungs at people get out of the bathroom .. STAY AWAY!

For $55 per person I didn't think this was good value. There was no snorkling, the only water activity offered was a crappy water trampoline, that was only big enough for 4-5 people (there were 40 of us). Other cruises offer better valus.

1990 Fountaine Pajot CASAMANCE Catamaran for the eco-friendly adventurer Thoughtful features make Blue Heron for long cruises in safety and comfort.   Self sufficient with lots of solar power up to 8 knots and under sail to 15 knots. Professional customized with unique features including a custom hard top, large navigation/communication station, super-effivient refrigerator and freezer, hand laid teak floor, custom designed stern railings and dinghy davit system. Upgrades include new Force 10 Stove/oven, new saloon cushion covers, custom mattresses in each cabin, all LED lighting, new 1100 Amp-hr Gel battery band and the transoms have just been extended over a foot to aid access from a dinghy and to minimize pitching. Then interior overheads and saloon cabinetry have just been painted with Awlgrip marine paint in an easy to maintain, bright and cheerful Off-white, in high-gloss with a slight texture to make it easy to clean and easy on the eyes. Both heads have new Corian countertops, basin sinks, new faucet/showers and new mirrors. The heads themselves are reliable and easy to care for Lavac vacuum heads that do not require electricity or piston pumps. The head feed directly into 55 gallon capacity holding tanks that can not be configured into “illegal” dumping. The custom navigation station is large enough to store or display full size paper charts, it has both HAM and SSB radios and a new VHF radio with hailer, GPS, AIS and a removable RAM microphone for the stearing station. There are a total of 16 each, 110v and 12v outlets, at least one in every room, including each engine room and the anchor locker forward. The 110 volts are provided by a 2000 watt pure sine-wave inverter/100 amp charger. All the electrical wiring is new oversized. Both Volvo diesel engines have been professionally rebuilt (about 400 hours) and come with many spares. The starting batteries are paired, Optima TPPL and maintenance free. There are (8) bilge pumps each with float and manual switches and each engine has a secondary start switch in it’s engine room for troubleshooting and convenience. Yes, there is an autopilot, and an electric windlass operable from the helm station or by a forward remote. There are (3) anchors, a 55 pound “Delta” primary on a 3/8 inch, all chain rode, a 33kg “Claw” and a 75 pound Danforth Storm anchor each with 300ft of 1 inch line and 40 feet of chain.
