GITANA Yacht – The Incredible $18M Feadship Superyacht

The GITANA yacht is an $18M superyacht from Feadship which has stood the test of time since its first launch in 1997.

She features interior design from John Munford, exterior design from Guido de Groot Design, and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects.

She is a magnificent yacht on the water with a rich history of sailing experiences.

The interior of the GITANA yacht features a Deco -Caribbean motif and woodwork accents designed by John Munford.

There are accommodations for 12 guests in 5 cabins with a full-beam master suite and four staterooms below deck with two queen beds, two twins, and a Pullman bunk in each to add extra sleeping arrangements.

The master suite has a king-size bed, a large closet, a couch and chaise lounge, and a desk. There is also a state-of-the-art entertainment system and large windows for expansive ocean views.

An ensuite bathroom features a steam shower, jacuzzi, skylight, and a mural. All the staterooms have an ensuite bathroom and entertainment offering.

There are accommodations for ten professional crew members that cater to every need of guests onboard. 

There are many indoor-outdoor areas for guests to be entertained and enjoy. The full-beam open salon has comfortable seating for guests to kick back and enjoy the views from the oversized windows.

The swim platform is accessed by a covered aft seating area which allows easy access to the water and toys on the upper deck.

The sundeck is impressive with a gym area, jacuzzi, sun pads, and a barbecue grill. Forward of GITANA, there is an abundance of seating for relaxation.

Feadship  built the GITANA yacht in their Aalsmeer shipyard in 1997. Her exterior was designed by Guido de Groot Design, and her naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects. It has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure.

The 25 years old ship has just gone through an extensive six-month refit in Feadships’ Scheepsbouw in the Makkum, Netherlands dry dock facility.

She has been launched in turn-key condition with a new paint job with the state-of-the-art premium Alexseal polyurethane with a gloss enhancer. The underwater surface area has been renovated with complete sandblasting back to bare steel.

She was then undercoated and finished with antifouling paint. Her refit includes a comprehensive mechanical and running gear refit.

The GITANA yacht is a 48.15m superyacht with a beam of 8.68m and a draft of 3.08m.

She has a volume of 499 gross tons and two caterpillar engines to power her through the water. She has a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots.

The yacht has a range of 5900 nautical miles. She has advanced at anchor stabilizers to provide exceptional comfort levels for those on board. GITANA will be completing her Lloyds 25-year classification renewal.

The 158′ (48.15m) luxury motor yacht GITANA is back on the market and for sale with Northrop & Johnson after an extensive 2022 Feadship refit. The yacht is listed with Yacht Broker Hank Halsted and is asking €16,500,000.

GITANA exudes true Feadship pedigree, which comprehensively quantifies every nuance of her concept, design, elegant Dutch artisanship and every detail of her maintenance and upgrading since her original launch.

The design brilliance of John Munford coupled with the exterior styling flair of Guido de Groot and the unquestioned design, engineering, and detailed expertise of the Feadship Devries yard, created this trend-setting 499 GT Tri-deck Motor Yacht, which so elegantly bridges the gap between the most classic Feadships and the more modern, higher freeboard designs.

GITANA is simply stunning from all perspectives, and she serves up four decks of luxurious comfort and entertainment with a multitude of inviting outdoor living spaces for all to enjoy. Her Feadship Pedigree has been nurtured since her original launch, with all systems consistently serviced and upgraded with an eye to preventative maintenance.

Motor yacht GITANA has completed a six-month comprehensive structural, mechanical and cosmetic refit at Feadship’s Scheepsbouw in their Makkum, Netherlands drydock facility. GITANA will be launched in turn-key condition including a new paint job from mast top to waterline utilizing state-of-the-art premium Alexseal polyurethane with a gloss enhancer. Feadship also completely renovated the underwater surface area with complete sandblasting back to bare steel then faired, undercoated and finished with coats of new antifouling paint. Additionally, she has had a comprehensive mechanical and running gear refurbishing- shafts/seals/rudders/bearings, complete stabilizer system and bow thruster rebuild. GITANA will be completing her Lloyds 25-year classification renewal with a flawless classification survey. The list of refit improvements to her essential systems is impressive, now totaling at over €3,000,000

This Feadship masterpiece will be delivered by her builder ready to cruise all oceans of the world in May 2022. She may be inspected by appointment at the Feadship Shipyard, Makkum, Holland in drydock after March 25, 2022.

Delivered by Benetti in 2017, she sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 modern staterooms, including a full-beam main deck master stateroom featuring a private owner’s study, his-and-hers bath, and fold-out balcony.

The GITANA yacht sold by Merle Wood & Associates is an exceptional example of the sought-after Benetti 132 Classic Supreme series and was sold after being on the market for only 3 months.

The RINA-classed GITANA yacht sold by yacht broker John Cohen is in better than new condition in all respects. She features a contemporary interior with colorful accents by the Italian shipyard’s in-house team that is superbly complemented by exterior styling from Stefano Righini. She was refitted in Viareggio only seven months after she was delivered to her owner. Highlighted by a contemporary style and full-height windows on the main and bridge decks, GITANA provides an environment and impression aboard normally found on a much larger yacht.

In addition to the full-beam master stateroom, accommodations onboard GITANA are comprised of 4 en-suite staterooms designed for comfort and entertainment, and she sleeps up to 7 crew in 4 cabins.

The salon is also equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, along with an exceptionally large sectional sofa and 2 upholstered armchairs. Further forward are the dining area with a glass dining table that seats 10 guests and the spacious galley.

Her skylounge is designed for multiple types of entertainment such as watching movies, enjoying a cocktail, or playing various games.

Outside, she offers expansive teak decks with multiple areas ideal for entertaining, dining, and lounging al fresco, in addition to 2 large spa pools on her bow and flybridge that are perfect for cooling off and relaxing. The main deck and upper deck both feature comfortable dining areas.

Twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines with 1,450 hp each provide a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. At a more economical speed of 11 knots, she has a range of 3,400 nautical miles. Her fiberglass hull is a distinct shade of dark blue, and at-anchor stabilization offers guests added comfort. She has a beam of 26.8’ (8.2m) and a draft of 7.3’ (2.2m).

Showcased at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the 132’ (40.2m) Benetti yacht GITANA has been sold after three months on the market with Neil Emmott and Duncan Bray of Superyacht Sales & Charter representing the buyer. Distinctly recognizable from the dark blue shade of her painted hull, GITANA was delivered to her proud yacht owner in 2017 and refitted in Viareggio after only seven months of ownership. The RINA-class yacht is part of Benetti’s popular Classic Supreme 132 line built to naval architecture by Benetti with exterior design by Stefano Righini.

The interior design was handled by the Italian shipyard’s in-house team. Her interiors are finished in a contemporary style and feature full-height windows in the main and skylounge decks. The saloon is also equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system. GITANA’s accommodations are for up to 10 guests in five staterooms designed for comfort and recreation with room for up to seven crew in four cabins. Notably, GITANA’s full-beam master suite is complete with his and her bathrooms and an opening balcony.

Above deck, multiple lounging and dining areas offer options for al fresco entertaining, while two large spa pools are ideal for relaxing in while enjoying the views.
