Zur Entkeimung und Dauerfrischhaltung von Trink- und Brauchwasser. Verkeimtes Wasser ist nach Zusatz von AQUA CLEAN nach etwa zwei Stunden frei von Bakterien und Krankheitskeimen. Es bleibt bis zu sechs Monate keimfrei und behält seinen quellfrischen Geschmack. Frei von Chlor oder Chemikalien, absolut geschmacks- und geruchsneutral. Hinweis für die Verwendung in Aluminium-Tanks In Aluminium-Tanks sollte wenn überhaupt die flüssige Form des AQUA CLEAN verwendet werden, da sich diese am schnellsten und besten im Wasser verteilt und so die Tankoberfläche keinen punktuellen hohen Konzentrationen ausgesetzt ist. AQUA CLEAN Pulver und Tabletten sollten für den Einsatz in Aluminium-Tanks vor der Zugabe in Wasser aufgelöst werden.

Veneen juomavesi kannattaa vaihtaa viikoittain. Jos hyvää juomavettä ei ole saatavilla, voi veden laatua ylläpitää säilytysaineella.

Testasimme varsinkin matkaveneilijälle harkitsemisen arvoiset Aqua Clean -tabletit. Ne lisätään kirkkaaseen veteen, jonka sanotaan säilyvän juomakelpoisena kuusi kuukautta.

Aqua Cleanin vaikuttava aine on hopea, joka torjuu tehokkaasti sairautta aiheuttavia organismeja, esimerkiksi bakteereja ja viruksia. Saatavilla on myös vedenpuhdistajia, joissa kloorijohdannainen tappaa tauteja aiheuttavat mikrobit ja estää bakteerien kehittymistä veteen.

Aqua Cleanit liukenivat nopeasti veteen. Yksi tabletti laitetaan 20 litraan vettä, jolla säilytettävän vesimäärän pitää olla jaollinen. Annostelua on tärkeä noudattaa, sillä hopea on alkuaine eikä haihdu vesitankista.

Veteen laimennettuna Aqua Clean -tablettien hopeapitoisuus on 0,11 mg/l, joka ylittää hieman WHO:n 0,1 mg/l:n suositusrajan. Mutta jos ainetta laittaa liian vähän, se ei välttämättä hillitse mikrobikasvua riittävästi.

Testissä tabletteja lisättiin pääkaupunkiseudun vesijohtoveteen, jota säilytettiin kanisterissa viisi viikkoa. Verrokkina oli kemikaaliton vesi. Ennen testiä vedellä täytettyjä kanistereita seisotettiin kolme viikkoa, jotta käyttämättömät kanisterit eivät olisi liian puhtaita.

Viiden viikon jälkeen vedestä otettiin laboratorionäytteet viidestä bakteeriryhmästä, joilla testataan talousveden laatua. Koholla oli vain heterotrofinen pesäkeluku, joka kuvaa elävien, aerobisten, heterotrofisten bakteerien sekä hiivojen ja homeiden lukumäärää vedessä.

Viiden viikon jälkeen arvo oli Aqua Clean -näytteessä 1 pmy/ml ja kemikaalittomassa vedessä 84 pmy/ml (pmy = pesäkettä muodostava yksikkö). Kumpikaan luku ei ole hälyttävä: suomalaisen vesilaitoksen vedessä vielä 100 pmy/ml:n pitoisuus on normaali.

Veden laatuun pitää aina kiinnittää huomiota jos väri, maku tai haju on muuttunut tai vesi aiheuttaa terveysoireita. Mutta kemikaalien käyttö ei ole ongelmatonta. Liian suurina pitoisuuksina hopea- ja klooripitoiset aineet ovat vaarallisia terveydelle, ja laimentamaton Aqua Clean on erittäin haitallinen vesieliöille.

Kemikaaliton vesi voi säilyä juomakelpoisena, jos tankkaa hyvälaatuista vettä, käyttää sitä paljon ja vaihtaa veden usein. Lisäksi kaikki vesijärjestelmän osat kannattaa puhdistaa vähintään kerran vuodessa, ettei pinnoille keräänny veden laatua alentavia mikrobeja.
