A week-long yacht rental will provide you with opportunities to explore more of the Spanish Virgin Islands, which are only 15 miles away from the mainland.

Day 1: Fajardo to La Cordillera

Start your yacht rental from Fajardo and make your way to La Cordillera. This 12 mile stretch of tiny islands are perfect for snorkelling and swimming. The islands are part of the Puerto Rico East Coast Marina Reserve, where you can expect to see the most colourful marine life underneath its waters.

Day 2: Isla de Culebra

Day 3: Isla de Culebrita

Because it is a Wildlife Refuge, the island has remained unchanged for the last 500 years. You can find an abandoned lighthouse, tide pools, and soft sand beaches as you explore the island.

Day 4: Isla de Vieques

Another wildlife sanctuary, Isla de Vieques, is home to the famous Mosquito Bay, the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world. Swim, kayak, and enjoy a stand-up paddleboard as the waters light up when the planktons responsible for the phenomena come in contact with any form of movement. A trip to Puerto Rico is never complete without a visit to this bay. You can also visit Isabel Segundo and Esperanza, where small, quaint little shops and local cuisine are waiting for you to discover.

Day 5: Ensenada Honda

Found on Vieques island, this bay features an old military tower, two beaches, a beautiful cove, and plenty of choices for water sports activities.

Day 6: Punta Arenas

Found also on Vieques Island, it is a National Wildlife Refuge, with a family-friendly beach called "Green Beach." Punta Arenas is raw and rugged, making it a secluded location looking for some quiet and privacy. Make your way back to Fajaradi on Day 7 in the Spanish Virgin Islands.

As the founder and CEO of the Puerto Rican Sea Group, Ivan Miranda approaches yacht services from the perspective of the owner. The group's offerings are built around the owner and crew's needs and time restraints. Ivan started out as deckhand cleaning boats in 1990.
