71m Feadship superyacht Juice delivered

The 71 metre Juice has departed the Feadship shipyard and is now undertaking her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean following delivery to her owner.

The news comes shortly after the newest addition to the Feadship fleet, formerly known as Project 820 , was put through her paces during rigorous sea trials in the North Sea in February. Juice features exteriors design by British studio RWD with "soft lines" and "distinctive creases" for an "elegant yet masculine" appearance. 

The 1499 GT motor yacht was launched in January 2021 and is built with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and a composite top deck that keeps the yacht’s centre of gravity as low as possible for enhanced seakeeping. Interiors come from Peter Marino , who worked with the Dutch yard recently on the interiors of 94 metre Viva .

Juice was commissioned by a repeat Feadship client who happens to be a keen collector of modern art. The vessel's nameplate is inspired by the work of American artist Ed Rusha and the name itself, Juice , is a nod to the expression  "juice on top", which is used by auctioneers and has a similar meaning to "icing on the cake."

Highlights include an eight-metre pool on the main deck, a walk-around superstructure, sundeck gym and a cinema on the lower deck. Unusually for a yacht of her size, Juice has an owner's deck positioned between the bridge deck and the main deck, with four guest suites positioned on the main deck.

Beneath the foredeck, there is storage for three custom tenders, comprised of a 10-metre limousine, eight-metre guest RIB and a rescue boat, which are launched via gullwing doors in the hull. All structural parts of her exterior have been finished in polished stainless steel.

Other yachts currently in build at the Dutch shipyard include the 118 metre Project 1010 , which was glimpsed in October 2020 with delivery due in 2022, as well as Feadship Project 822, which was spotted on transport in September 2021.

This weekend saw the launch of 71m (2433ft) motor yacht JUICE from Feadship’s facilities in Amsterdam. Commissioned by an experienced Owner and repeat client, the yacht features exterior design by the illustrious RWD characterised by a sleek and elegant profile featuring a raked bow, polished stainless steel and stunning curved glass panels.

Her interiors are artfully crafted by Peter Merino, showcasing an understated elegance and refined palette, with every minute detail meticulously considered.

In terms of amenities, she is set to impress with a host of crowd-pleasing features such as her 8-meter glass-sided swimming pool, welcoming beach club haven, lower deck cinema suite, sun deck gymnasium and a 10-meter custom limousine tender for luxurious excursions ashore.

She will also provide accommodation for 12 guests across 6 suites, including a dedicated Owner's deck.

Superyacht JUICE is expected to undertake sea trials in the coming weeks. It is not yet known whether she will become available for luxury yacht charters.

EXCLUSIVE: 71m FEADSHIP YACHT JUICE LAUNCHED

This morning  Feadship  launched their first yacht of 2022 from their facility in Amsterdam, the 71.10-metre  Juice , formerly known under her build number 820.

The exterior lines of  Juice  are from the drawing board of British design studio  RWD , while her naval architecture was penned by  Feadship   De Voogt Naval Architects . Both of whom worked closely with the owner to conceive a design that is elegant, masculine and in strict harmony across all deck spaces. Polished stainless steel was the choice material for all structural areas, including the pillars, stairs and base of the eight-metre pool, located on the main deck.  RWD  also made great use of glass.

Peter Marino  headed her interior design and configured her with five staterooms: a complete owner's deck, between the bridge and main deck, and four further guest suites on the main deck.   Juice 's other standout features include a large beach club, a lower deck cinema and a gym on her sundeck. This displacement motor yacht has approximately 1,550 gross tonnes, space enough to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests alongside 24 crew members.  

Those familiar with the art scene may recognise the inspiration for her naming and logo. The owner opted for " Juice " to reference the expression "juice on top", which comes out of the auction houses, and which has a similar meaning to "icing on the cake". While her 3D logo pays tribute to the eponymous 1967 work by American artist Ed Ruscha.

This weekend saw the undocking of the 71-metre Juice from the giant Feadship construction hall in the Dutch capital. Observers were mesmerised by the beauty of this timeless Feadship: a blend of polished stainless steel, glass and teak offer a classic feel while the exterior lines showcase a sleek and captivatingly contemporary elegance.

The owner of Juice, a repeat client for Feadship, has worked tirelessly with the designers at RWD to ensure a refined exterior flow with soft lines and distinctive creases. All unnecessary elements have been removed to generate an elegant yet masculine look. Another instantly visible aspect is the walk-around superstructure along with a striking coherence between the decks on a superyacht that synthesises Feadship’s seasoned ability to meet the most stringent demands.

Transparent features are made of glass, including the railings and the sides of the pool, and large flat and curved glazed panels ensure unrestricted views.

Everything one touches outdoors, from the aft saloon doors to the hand and cap rails, has been considered by the designers to give a feeling of warmth and comfort. Beneath the stunning flush foredeck are housed three custom tenders – a ten-metre limo, eight-metre guest RIB and a rescue boat – that are launched via the gullwing doors in the hull.

The name reflects the fact that the owner is a keen collector of modern art and the 3D logo of the name on the funnel is inspired by an eponymous 1967 work by American artist Ed Ruscha. Auction connoisseurs will recognise the nod to ‘juice on top’, an expression from that world with a similar meaning to ‘icing on the cake’. There can be no more appropriate description of a Feadship that is the pinnacle of achievement for all parties involved.

The 71m/233ft Feadship superyacht JUICE was known as HULL 802 during construction, and she was built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure before being launched in the Netherlands in 2022. The naval architecture was by De Voogt Naval Architects, exterior styling from RWD and interiors penned by Peter Marino with extensive input from the Owner. The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests across six en-suite cabins, and a crew of 24 to ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout every cruise.

Guests arriving by tender will disembark onto the lower deck swim platform and ascend the stairs to the main deck aft, where there is a comfortable alfresco lounging and dining area placed under the shade of the upper deck overhang.

The upper deck above is dedicated to the Owner, and the upper deck aft can be used as a private space or shared with the other guests. There is room here for a convivial lounge and casual dining. Side walkways lead around to the foredeck, which conceals three tenders below: A 10m/32.9ft limo, an 8m/26.3ft guest RIB and a rescue boat. Gullwing doors and winches allow for their safe launch and retrieval.

The bridge deck aft offers another outdoor living space for guests, and the sundeck above comes with a forward Jacuzzi surrounded by a plush sunbed on three sides.

To further personalise M/Y JUICE, a 3D logo of the 1967 artwork of the same name by Ed Ruscha is displayed proudly on the funnel.

The interiors are decorated with modern art from the Owner's collection along with a variety of high-quality materials and finishes that interior designer Peter Marino has implemented to refined effect. Meticulous attention to detail has been paid not only to the decor but the cutting-edge entertainment systems, lighting and features for comfort, safety and security.

JUICE Specifications

The lower deck hosts a spacious beach club and cinema, plus the crew accommodation. The guest accommodation is located on the main deck forward, with the main foyer amidships and the formal dining area and main salon aft. The upper deck is dedicated to the Owner and includes a spacious skylounge which can be shared with the other guests or used privately.

The bridge deck is above, and the sundeck has a well-equipped gym within climate-controlled surroundings with amazing views from its elevated position.

Yacht Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a total of 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and 5 further guest cabins, of which 4 are located on the main deck. The enthusiastic crew of 24 will see to all the details throughout the cruise.
