1. Las Olas Marina

Las Olas Marina (developed by Suntex Marinas) is situated in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway. The versatile marina features 60 slips capable of handling mega yachts, docking, and boater services.

Pro Tip: Boatsetter recently partnered up with Suntex , giving their boat owners access to more than 20,000 boat slips across 70 locations!

This marina is within walking distance of Fort Lauderdale Beach and is part of the annual in-water boat show. Take a stroll along the waterfront promenade open to the public and access fine dining restaurants, assorted retail shops, and exceptional views, all found on Las Olas Boulevard.

2. Marina Bay Marina

Situated on the New River, the luxury resort and marina offer a variety of features and amenities to enhance any time spent at the marina. There are 168 deep-water slips available for annual, seasonal, and transient rentals with the capability of accommodating vessels from 18 to 140 feet.

Five minutes from the marina, boaters can access a marine hardware store stocked with boating apparel, supplies, and fishing gear.

3. New River Downtown Docks

Located in the heart of downtown just off Las Olas Boulevard, the New River scene is charming, with brick-paved walkways surrounded by natural landscaping. The marina is within walking distance of cozy cafes and interesting shops. Dock your boat in one of the 100 slips fitted with full utilities that include electricity, sewage, water, and phone.

4. Hall of Fame Marina

The Hall of Fame Marina treats its guests to the finer things in life. The marina offers two facilities for year-round tenants and visitors. The north facility has 20 yacht slips accommodating crafts up to 135 feet.

The south facility also has 20 slips that accommodate up to 70 feet. Additional amenities include 30/50 amp, and 100 amp single or three phase, sanitary pump-out station, recycling options, and more.

5. Bahia Mar Yachting Center

Whether you are reserving a boat slip for the day or plan to stay for a while at the luxury resort, the Bahia Mar Yachting Center promises a memorable experience. A good portion of the boat slips and floating docks are open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Center amenities include a 5,000-foot floating pier, pump-out services, 30, 50, and 100 amps plus 110, 220, 240, and 480-volt availability, ice, fuel dock, and on-site gasoline and diesel fuel.

The marina offers 250 slips capable of handling vessels up to 300 feet along it’s 3,000 foot parallel dock, and more than 5,000 feet of floating docks. Crime and public safety | man drowns in fort lauderdale canal while retrieving radio-controlled boat from mangroves.

A 44-year-old man died Wednesday after drowning in a canal in Fort Lauderdale, officials said.

David Boatswain was pulled from the water in the area of the 1800 block of Northwest Third Court about 5 p.m. and taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Fort Lauderdale Police said in an email Thursday.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Gregory May said the man was wading across the water to retrieve a radio-controlled boat that got stuck in the mangroves when he went under. Someone with him called 911 when he did not resurface.

“This appears to be an accidental drowning and no foul play is suspected at this time,” the police department said.
