Lil Yachty Reacts To Eminem Taking A "Shot" At Him On "Kamikaze"
He's extremely cool with it.
Lil Yachty was one of a few rappers named on Eminem 's new surprise project Kamikaze , and while the rapper's mention was not explicitly a "diss," according to Em himself, it wasn't exactly a compliment either.
"I can see why people like Lil Yachty, but not me though/Not even dissin', it just ain't for me," he raps on "The Ringer," in a bar that seems to speak more to rap's generation gap than Yachty's lack of abilities. After that, he points out the possible difference in audiences between himself and Yachty: "All I am simply is just an emcee/Maybe 'Stan' just isn't your cup of tea/Maybe your cup's full of syrup and lean/Maybe I need to stir up shit."
However you take the lyrics, there are enough people online suggesting Eminem is "taking shots" at Yachty that the rapper caught wind of it before even hearing the song. Though he was unaware of exactly how hard Em went in on him, he seemed entertained and honored at the thought of being dissed by a legend.
https://twitter.com/_/status/1035554146043289600 https://twitter.com/_/status/1035555736439455745
"Lmao me personally I think it’s fye Eminem took a shot at me.. I fuck wit Eminem," he wrote on Twitter. When someone responded arguing that it was not a diss at all, Yachty revealed that he was just going off of what Twitter had told him. Turns out, he's a bit bummed out he didn't get a proper shot. "ohhhhh word I’m on a plane i didn’t even know my phone just blew up I was like ohhh shittttt word that’s less exciting lol," he wrote.
There are a few rappers whose disses were a little more clear cut: Drake , Lil Pump , and Machine Gun Kelly to name a few. Check out a comprehensive list of those who got burnt across Eminem's new album here .

Today has been a world wind day in hip-hop as Eminem unleashed a lyrical hit list on his surprise release, Kamikaze .
Arriving in fans ears Friday (Aug. 31), the rapper toyed with satire by “coming for” top media personalities and artists who critiqued his previous album, Revival . He also took the time to share his thoughts on the current state of rap between his quick boastful raps.
Those on the hit list included younger students of rap like Lil Pump, Lil Xan and Lil Yachty as well as faves like Vince Staples and Tyler, The Creator. Some of his disses weren’t’ surprising ( Joe Budden , Charlamagne tha God) but others did ( Iggy Azalea , Dr. Dre, MGK).
Take a look at the list of targets, his history with them and the blistering lines below.
1. Lil Pump
Line: “Lil Pump, Lil Xan imitate Lil Wayne I should aim at everybody in the game/ pick a name” (“The Ringer”) Why: Em appears to be over the influx of “lil” rappers who’ve dominated the charts in recent years. While he continues to cape for favorites like J.Cole, Big Sean, Drake and Kendrick, the rapper draws lines in the sands when it comes to mumble rappers.
2. Lil Yachty
Eminem is joined by rap's rising lyricists in "doomsday pt. 2" music video.
Line: “I can see why people like Lil Yachty, but not me though Not even dissin’, it just ain’t for me/All I am simply is just an MC/Maybe, “Stan” just isn’t your cup of tea/Maybe, your cup’s full of syrup and lean” (“The Ringer”) Why: While Em isn’t making a direct diss to Lil Boat, he isn’t fond of drug raps Yachty doesn’t push these messages per say, but it looks like Em is just over it all.
Line: See No. 1
4. Machine Gun Kelly
Line: “But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne If you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun/And I’m talkin’ to you, but you already know who the f**k you are, Kelly/I don’t use sublims’ and sure as f**k don’t sneak-diss/But keep commentin’ on my daughter Hailie” (“No Alike”) Why: This dig is personal. It’s been over three years since MGK made a subtle comment about his then 16-year-old daughter on Twitter, but it hasn’t left the rapper’s memory.

5. Iggy Azalea
Line: “I’d just be like everyone else in the fucking industry Especially an effing Recovery clone of me/So finger-bang, chicken wang, MGK, Iggy ‘zae” Why: We don’t see why these two would have an issue so let’s chop it up to wordplay, shall we?
6. Die Antwoord
Line: “I know there’s people that are pissed about the way I mispronounced a name: “DIE ANTWOORD!” F**k, I still can’t say the sh*t/But how quickly they forget who the f**k I was” (“Greatest”) Why: Eminem mentioned the South African band on Revival but was met with harsh digs for mispronouncing their name. The group threw their own harsh shot at the rapper by saying, “Ee-minem went to jail And got a bit of semen in his bum And was never seen again.”
7. Tyler, The Creator
Line: “Tyler create nothin’, I see why you called yourself a f*****, b***h It’s not just ‘cause you lack attention/It’s ’cause you worship D12’s balls, you’re sack-religious/If you’re gonna critique me, you better at least be as good or better” (“Fall”) Why: Many have called this diss uncalled for due to Tyler’s fan-like comments on the rapper’s later albums. Over the years, Tyler has been vocal about his feelings on albums like Recovery, where Em moved towards a more pop sound. Eminem does use the f-word to suggest that the Cali artist has played up his sexuality for attention.
https://twitter.com/OddFuturePage/status/1035398254001893378
8. Charlamagne Tha God
Line: “Aw, man! That BET cipher was weak, it was garbage/The Thing ain’t even orange—oh my God, that’s a reach!” and “Charlamagne gonna hate anyway Doesn’t matter what I say/Give me Donkey of the Day/What a way for 2018 to get underway” (“The Ringer”) Why: Em wasn’t fond of Charlamagne’s critiques of his BET Hip-Hop Awards freestyle, where he took on Trump and police brutality. During his Brilliant Idiots podcast with Andrew Shultz, the media personality he called the diss a reach and also included him in his “Trash Artists of the Year” list.

9. DJ Akademiks
Line: “And don’t make me have to give it back to Akademiks Say this s**t is trash again, I’ll have you twisted/Like you had it when you thought you had me slippin’ at the telly/Even when I’m gettin’ brain, you’ll never catch me with a thot” (“Fall”) Why: The Everday Struggle co-host was also targeted for his thoughts on Revival. He also seems to know the ins and outs of Ak’s love life as he slammed him for his choice in women.
10. Joe Budden
Line: “Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it/Or have his body baggage zipped/The closest thing he’s had to hits is smackin’ b***hes” (“Fall”) Why: For fans of Slaughterhouse and Shady Records, this might not come as a surprise. Joe has been vocal about his disdain for Em’s lyrical path as of late, due to his previous platform on Everyday Struggle and his Joe Budden Podcast . Joe might be retired from the rap game, but he’s hinted at the possibility or a return on Friday (Aug. 31) aka his birthday.
A post shared by Elliott Wilson (@elliottwilson) on Aug 31, 2018 at 8:30am PDT
11. President Donald Trump
Line: “But I think it’s workin’, these verses Are makin’ him a wee bit nervous/And he’s too scurred to answer me with words/’Cause he knows that he will lyrically get murdered/But I know at least he’s heard it/’Cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service/To meet in person, to see if I really think of hurtin’ him/Or ask if I’m linked to terrorists/I said, “Only when it comes to ink and lyricists.” Why: Well, why not?
12. Mike Pence
Line: “While I take my ballsack and flick it like a light switch Like vice-president Mike Pence back up on my s***t in a sidekick” (“The Ringer”) Why: See No. 11
13. Vince Staples
Line: “If I press the issue just to get the anger out (brrr) Full magazine could take Staples out” (“The Ringer”) Why: Similar to Tyler, Staples’ fan comments were taken a bit too close to the heart by Eminem. Staples took the jab in jest by tweeting it.
Full magazine could take Staples out! — Vince Staples (@vincestaples) August 31, 2018
14. The Recording Academy
Line: “And then tell the Grammys to go and f**k themselves/They suck the blood from all the biggest artists like some leeches/So they nominate ‘em, get ’em there, get a name to ’em/See the show, every parasite needs a host/Then give Album of the Year to somebody that no one’s ever even heard of.” Why: The criticism of the Recording Academy may stem from Em’s alliance to alliance to Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar.
In the past three years, all artists have been snubbed in the Album of the Year category. Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly lost to Taylor Swift’s 1989 in 2016, Beyonce’s sonic wonder that was Lemonade lost out to Adele’s 25 in 2017 and Jay-Z’s adored 4:44 lost to Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic this year.
All of the aforementioned artists and their images were heavily promoted by the Recording Academy at the time of each ceremony, adding more curiosities of how the Academy uses artists from the hip-hop and R&B world for their own benefit.
Line: “I’ll ride through your cul-de-sac/Window cracked, bumpin’ your reference tracks/You collab on a referent rap, I have never said his raps” Why: Em sings Drake’s praises on the album and even suggests that some of today’s rappers are attempting to mirror his artistry. This line can play into how reference tracks are seen in hip-hop today, given the Meek v. Drake war of 2015.
16. Earl Sweatshirt*
Line: “If you’re gonna critique me, you better at least be as good or better, get Earl the Hooded Sweater Whatever his name is to help you put together/Some words, more than just two letters.” (“Fall”) Why: The line suggests Em is actually a fan of Sweatshirt’s or aware of his lyrical talents.
17. Dr. Dre*
Line: “ Must have missed my cat-scan that day I just threw a Tampax at Dre” (“Greatest”) Why: With Dre executively producing the album, we’re sure it’s just jokes between the two.

Lil Yachty Puts Eminem in His Top 10 Rappers
While enjoying his international success and a personal invitation to Poland from their Prime minister, Lil Yachty chimed into the discussion on the best and most influential rappers.
The intervention was due to another controversial take from Charlemagne da God, who, in a conversation with G Herbo on The Breakfast Show, shrugged off Chief Keef’s influence on the culture.
Akademiks posted a clip from the show on his Instagram account, sparking a new round of discussion on drill, Chief Keef and influence in hip hop in general. Many shared their views and their top 5 or top 10 lists. One of them was Lil Yachty. The Atlanta rapper left his list in the comment section. He was among those in favour of keeping Sosa in his top 10 and listed other names as well:
Def top 10 in one of the most influential artists of all time. With drake, thug, Wayne, jay, ye, Eminem, chief Keef, nicki, future, & biggie top ten for sure.
Then he added Tupac in a separate comment, not to be disrespectful.
Did you expect this list to come from Lil Yachty?

Eminem Reacts To New Lil Wayne Verse: “Why Didn’t I Think Of That?”
Updated on: October 3, 2023
Eminem praises Lil Wayne for a bar on new verse.
Lil Wayne returned to the music scene with an assist on Tyga and YG’s track titled “ Brand New “. The verse is getting praise from social media, and Detroit rapper Eminem also took to his Twitter to share his amazement at Lil Wayne bars.
“Bro Wayne just said ‘got a bunch of zeros like a bag of new funyuns!!’ F–K why didn’t I think of that????”

The track is produced by Swish and Mike Crook, which also received a video treatment. The song appeared on Tyga and YG’s new collab “ Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist ”. Apart from the new verse, Weezy also delivered his new project “ Tha Fix Before Tha VI ” last night.
Lil Wayne and Eminem have always shown praise for each other, and the two once revealed that they often Google search for their own lyrics to not repeat themselves in new songs.
“You’ve got you to start getting to the point where you’ve rapped about everything you’ve rhymed every word that rhymes,” said Eminem on Young Money Radio interview. “Man I literally broke when I’m doing something my sh*t. If you go through my phone history, my Google history, and you press “l”, first thing gonna come up is “Lil Wayne lyrics”. I literally have to Google my lyrics to make sure I didn’t say something before,” revealed Wayne. “Oh my God. Yo, I swear to God, I do that too…,” responds Eminem.
Following the tweet, Eminem also responded to Redman’s new freestyle over Funkmaster Flex & Big Kap’s “If I Get Locked Up”, which featured the Detroit rapper and Dr. Dre with production from Rockwilder. “Dont hurt em, Reggie!!!! @therealredman,” he wrote.

As part of the multimedia empire’s 10th anniversary..
Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade packs a punch in their latest album, All is Yellow.
Clocking in at approximately 40 minutes, the 14-track project is part of Lyrical Lemonade’s 10th anniversary celebrations and features a stacked list of guest artists. The late Juice WRLD, a close friend and collaborator, appears on the previously-released single “Doomsday,” along with the likes of Kid Cudi, Eminem, Juicy J, Denzel Curry, JID, Lil Yachty, Jack Harlow, Teezo Touchdown, Latto, Cordae and more. All is Yellow harmoniously brings the various sectors of rap together, and almost serves as a victory lap for Bennett after he took the risk of dropping out of university to focus on his videography. 19 of Lil Yachty’s Most Controversial Tweets
Lil Yachty has gone from 0 to 100 this past year—rising from a local rapper to literally the king of the teens. While for the most part, Yachty's transition has been purely fruitful—a few of his tweets—past and present— have been known to stir up some controversy. Let's just say Yachty's Twitter fingers are viral trigger fingers.
Like many other rappers, Yachty suffered the fate of his past tweets surfacing in the present. Words that Lil Boat took for pure buffoonery as a kid in high school made their way to the media and included tweets that swore off J. Cole and more—The rapper had some explaining to do. While he cleared that air in an interview with 106 KMEL explaining that there was no rhyme or reason to the social media comments back then—it seems like even now these moments just don't stop.
From Lil Boat's most recent beef with Soulja Boy on social media to his back-and-forth with Ebro —Yachty is not one to hold back when it comes to unveiling his feelings at any moment on any form of social media. There's even a few recent one-liners that have caught the attention of the masses. Remember when Lil Boat tweeted "Ion wanna be Nas, I want to be rich"—a lot of people had opinions about that. Or when he tweeted Pete Rock after the vet made some unfavoring comments telling him he didn't like his music either—Yachty has no chill.
In the gallery above, check out quite a few of Lil Yachty's questionable tweets— and being the controversial character that he is, there's likely to be many more.

“The amount of emails I get daily,” influencer and TikTok star Chanen Johnson told The Post in a recent interview. “I get thousands of emails daily with relationship resumes of girls. There are amazing resumes and women doing incredible things with their lives. It’s not like [the women are saying] ‘Oh, I love the Saints, and I want to date a Saints player.'”
The 28-year-old Chanen — who has been married to Johnson since February 2020 — first floated the idea of playing matchmaker for an NFL player in October 2023 on TikTok, where she frequently posts relationship-centric videos that often feature the 27-year-old NFL pro.

“People want love. So that’s what we’re here for. People want to get matched up and we’re definitely gonna make it happen for sure,” said Chanen, who noted the couple is “very serious” about the endeavor.
“We’re waiting until it’s the [right] moment to share it with the world. There’s a lot behind the scenes that is happening,” she said.
Though Chanen did not provide further details or share the names of players potentially interested, she has Johnson’s full attention and support.
“These are things I’ve never even seen in my life… and they’re serious,” said Johnson, who initially pursued Chanen at a mutual friend’s birthday party during their college days at Penn State.
Meet the Johnsons
Chanen and Johnson rose to social media fame during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when they began filming TikTok videos on their joint account (@juandchan) about their relationship.
In July 2020, the video entitled “ A perk to having a girl during the season ” thrust the couple into the limelight, with their TikTok following later eclipsing three million fans.
“We just did everything, and that led us to the NFL wife routine and that led to so many different things and we capitalized on it,” Johnson said. “Everybody had an insight into our lives.”

Their signature “life as an NFL wife” videos typically show Chanen giving candid, behind-the-scenes looks at their non-traditional dynamic.
“It [relationship and marriage content] became a niche for us. I feel like we were one of the first couples in the NFL to start putting our life out there like that, and people were really interested. We’ve built such a great community of people who really do follow our daily lives. So now it’s really fun for us to be able to just do something casual and still get to share with people,” Chanen said.
Chanen now focuses on social media full-time after quitting a separate full-time position in the communications industry in Los Angeles as Johnson focuses on the NFL.

She runs the couple’s social media pages during the NFL season while at home with daughter J’adore Blessing Johnson, who will turn a year old in July 2024.
“We are better off as a couple having me be at home and handling all the other 99 percent of the factors that make a relationship [work] and he can handle the one, which is making money,” Chanen said in a previous TikTok video. “Cooking, cleaning, raising the children, handing all of the finances, taxes.”
An undrafted free agent out of Oregon, Johnson signed with the Saints on April 27, 2020, following the 2020 NFL Draft.
He signed a two-year contract extension worth $12 million with $8.5 guaranteed in March 2023.
Johnson finished his fourth season with the Saints with 37 catches for 368 yards and four touchdowns.
The couple also makes income from social media partnerships and brand deals.
Not much is off-limits
Few things are considered off-limits for the couple.
“Honestly, we’ve gotten to a point where we had a lot of limits, and now in 2024, we’re at a point where our limits are pretty slim,” Chanen said. “We kind of post our entire lives as authentic as possible. Like what you see on the internet is what you’re going to get in real life with us.”
Perhaps the most sensitive moment shared on social media was when the couple disclosed they went through two miscarriages, which was mentioned in a 2022 year-end video on Instagram .
“We do have certain boundaries because obviously, we can’t share everything,” Johnson said. “But for the most part… I mean, I feel like the most vulnerable thing that we’ve shown was our miscarriage.”
Although the miscarriage revelation was especially difficult on Chanen — “That was the hardest for me” — the couple hopes their candidness can potentially help others.
“We’ve learned so much and we got so much support during our miscarriages that actually helped other people who are going through the same thing,” said Johnson, a two-time dog dad who recently partnered with Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Greater Good Charities to raise donations for the Shelter Bowl 2024 , which helps feed and protect shelter pets.

“I felt like, if we don’t share those things, people don’t get deliverance from that. That’s the one thing that we help people do, because at the same time, we’re getting deliverance from their struggle or their trauma or scare or things that they’re struggling with.”
Future plans
When they’re not in front of the camera or traveling for NFL games, Johnson said he and Chanen are “pretty boring.”
“We really like small-town life. We’re going to try and live small-town life out there,” she said.
Beyond spending “maybe a month in Europe and just live like locals,” Chanen said the couple hopes to expand their family this offseason.
“We also want to have more kids, so hopefully we get pregnant this year,” she said.
