145m Lürssen superyacht Luminance delivered
The 145-metre Lürssen superyacht Luminance has been delivered. She was last spotted leaving the yard for her sea trials in April 2023.
Construction on the mammoth project began in 2018 but few details have been revealed since. She is ranked number 11 in the largest yachts in the world and is the seventh-largest project ever built by Lürssen.
Exterior design is the work of Espen Øino and marks the 30th collaboration between the designer and the shipyard. The pair have worked on numerous 100-metre-plus projects including the 136-metre Flying Fox , 156-metre Dilbar and 135.5-metre Crescent . The interior design is the work of Francois Zuretti but details remain a closely guarded secret.
Other major projects currently underway at Lürssen include the 122-metre Project Jag , last seen on sea trials in October 2023 and the 142-metre Project Alibaba , which was launched in December 2023 .
The bare hull of Project Jassj was also recently sighted during her technical launch at Lürssen's Rendsburg facility.

Lürssen Launches Highly Anticipated 145m 'Luminance'

Iconic German shipyard Lürssen has officially launched the highly secretive 145m superyacht 'Luminance'.
After a two year hiatus, Lürssen 's Luminance was spotted for the first time this week at the shipyard's facility in Bremen, Germany, and since been seen hitting the water for the first time for its launch.
The project, until now, has been top secret, and is said to be the eighth largest yacht to be built by the shipyard; ranking as the 15th largest yacht in the world.
Sporting a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, construction of Luminance began in 2018, before she was transported for her outfitting in May 2021.
Although details involving her specification are mainly under wraps, she is said to have an internal volume of 9,000 GT, and a beam of 20 metres.
She was penned by renowned designer Espen Oeino International , marking the 30th collaboration with the shipyard, with naval architecture developed in-house by Lürssen.
Project Luminance is expected to be delivered to her owner later this year, with the 122-metre Project Jag, 90-metre Project 1601, and the 142-metre Project Alibaba also currently underway.

There is not much information available about this yacht at the moment, as these large yachts are almost always under strict privacy agreements. What we can see one the photos, however, implies that LUMINANCE will be a truly impressive mega yacht, featuring immense on deck space, with various dining and relaxation areas as expected aboard luxurious mega yachts. Lurssen is renowned for building a unique superyacht, using the latest in technology and innovation, top materials and techniques. We can expect swimming pools, Jacuzzis, an amazing beach club, large ensuite staterooms and an owners deck area. We certainly look forward to learning more about this next masterpiece.

The 145m/475'9" motor yacht 'Luminance' was built by Lurssen in Germany at their Bremen shipyard. Her interior is styled by French designer design house Zuretti and she was delivered to her owner in January 2024. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Espen Oeino.

Luminance has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests in 20 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 24 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance
Luminance is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MAN (16V28/33D) 16-cylinder 9,789hp engines running at 1000rpm, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots. An advanced stabilisation system on board promises exceptional comfort levels at anchor or on any voyage. She was built to Lloyds Register &100A1 SSC Passenger Yacht, Mono, G6, *IWS, ECO ✠ LMC classification society rules.
