AURELIA Yacht – Epic $10M Superyacht

AURELIA yacht is a 37-meter superyacht, hailed to be the tenth unique yacht of its size. 

With her owner’s love for sports cars, she is the ocean’s answer to a classic racing car. In fact, she was named after the very first Gran Turismo – the Lancia Aurelia GT . 

From her highly distinctive car-inspired exterior to her flawlessly designed interior, this mid-sized award-winning sports yacht exudes style and luxury at every turn.

Bannenberg and Rowell penned AURELIA’s interior design based on a car concept. Every vintage detail, from the Linley Aston Martin seats to the vehicle grille bookcase insets, is a work of art, and each one oozes quality workmanship.

The main salon is separated into two sections: a dining room with a wide circular table and a cozy lounge area with an L-shaped couch, two design armchairs, and a Bio Ethanol-powered fireplace (by Australian business Eco Smart ).

She has four cabins that are named after race car designers and can sleep up to eight guests and six crews.

The race car designers who influenced the décor of the guest cabins are Bertone (orange Lamborghini), Pininfarina (red Ferrari), and Zagato (green Aston Martin).

The master bedroom is normally placed forward on the main deck, while the three double guest cabins are located on the lower deck, all having en-suite shower facilities. 

She offers spacious living areas laid with a warm and welcoming ambiance for that perfect luxury charter experience with family and friends.

Specifications

The AURELIA yacht was built by CdM and was delivered in 2020. She has a beam of 8.6m, a draft of 2.6m, and a volume of 453 GT.

AURELIA’s superstructure is made from aluminum and she has a semi-displacement hull, which allows her to maintain great seakeeping while reaching amazing speeds.

She is propelled by two MTU engines, which allow her to travel comfortably at 15 knots and achieve a top speed of 30 knots. She has a range of up to 1,900 nautical miles at 12 knots from her 30,000-liter fuel tanks. 

An innovative stabilization system aboard minimizes the side-to-side roll of the boat, allowing passengers to enjoy outstanding levels of comfort either at anchor or when on the open water.

Her Gulf Oil Racing color scheme was designed by Frank Laupman of Omega , a Dutch company that is not known for any specific style, but rather a range of different styles, each individually tailored to the owner’s specifications.

AURELIA is considered the world’s finest mid-size sports motor yacht with its spacious exterior areas.

She boasts of a fantastic sundeck, a transom door that folds down to create a large swimming platform, and water toys that make her a popular charter yacht among guests with a strong track record.

Accommodation

As well as the captain of Aurelia, she can accommodate up to six more crew members on board and up to 8 passengers in four suites.

Launched by Heesen in 2011 and refitted in 2017, 2019 and 2023, she remains one of the most recognisable yachts in the world. M/Y AURELIA has a transparent ownership structure with a British UBO, a Maltese commercial registry and is ready to charter.

The extrovert appearance of M/Y AURELIA was inspired by the Owner’s vision for something distinctly different – a homage to sports car heritage. The number 10 symbol on the yacht's side is a nod to her place as the tenth yacht in the Dutch yard's successful Heesen 3700 series. Gulf Oil Racing colours were adapted by Dobroserdov Design and applied to the yacht as well as the 9 meter (30 foot) Custom Chase Boat built by Pascoe. Capable of 46 knots, carrying 10 people, this tender has just finished a complete rebuild, including a new engine, drive leg and transmission. The Lazarette of AURELIA has been converted into a comfortable guest ‘Beach Club’ with couches, music and a champagne fridge and a large swim deck area of 45 square meters is formed when the transom door folds down.

While the standard layout for Heesen’s 3700 series is a 5 cabin configuration, the owner of AURELIA wanted more comfort for guests and more space for the crew, so designated a guest cabin for the captain. The result is a more realistic 6 crew for 8 guests and everyone benefits from extra living space, plus a welcome and essential increase in laundry and crew facilities to ensure that service is at the highest level, ideally suited for charter yachts. With interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell, AURELIA’s ‘GT’ car concept required a considerable degree of detail in every aspect of the design. From the Linley Aston Martin chairs to the automobile grille bookcase insets, every classic feature exudes craftsmanship. AURELIA is the only 3700 to have a luxury interior built outside the factory and was realised by Sinnex.

The master suite can be found forward on the main deck and three double guest cabins are located on the lower deck. All guest cabins feature LCD television screens and en-suite bathrooms. Her main salon boasts ample seating via two large armchairs, an L-shaped settee and an additional sofa alongside a fully-equipped crockery and glassware cabinet.

Outdoor areas where guests can enjoy time to relax include the partially sheltered aft cockpit and the large sundeck with its comfortable al fresco seating and a convivial bar. Large mattresses can also be found in front of the wheelhouse, perfect for sunbathing, reading or just simply unwinding.

Additional sun lounging and socializing spaces can be found on AURELIA's spacious foredeck, while two sets of stairs lead aft towards an al fresco dining area on the main deck.

M/Y AURELIA is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines able to reach a maximum speed of 30 knots, while her range at 12 knots is 1,900 nautical miles. In a further aid to comfort, and efficient under all conditions but especially when at anchor, is a pair of Seakeeper gyro stabilizers that were specified and installed during the build. One gyro was replaced new in 2021, the second replaced in 2023.

Very careful attention has been paid to eliminating noise and vibration. Double glazing in all hull-windows, sound-proof tiles on the inside of the hull, additional mass layers surrounding the Master Suite and sound-proof doors are but some of the features that distinguish this yacht from her sisters.

AURELIA is a 39.37 m Motor Yacht, built in Italy by Cantiere delle Marche and delivered in 2020. She is the only Flexplorer model.

Her top speed is 14.0 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 8000.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 staterooms, with 6 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 453.0 GT and a 8.6 m beam.

She was designed by Hydro Tec , who also completed the naval architecture. Hydro Tec has designed 28 yachts and created the naval architecture for 49 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Margherita Casprini (15 other superyacht interiors designed) and Francesco Paszkowski Design (249 other superyacht interiors designed) - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

AURELIA is in the top 30% by LOA in the world. She is one of 1147 motor yachts in the 35-40m size range, and, compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her volume is 185.74 GT above the average.

AURELIA is currently sailing under the Cayman Islands flag, the 2nd most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 1390 yachts registered. She is currently located at the superyacht marina Porto Mirabello, in Italy, where she has been located for 1 week. Mark Zuckerberg’s daughters have made a rare social media appearance.

The Facebook co-founder and his wife, Priscilla Chan, posted pictures of their little ones while reflecting on his 40th birthday celebration.

“Grateful for my first 40 years!” Zuckerberg gushed via Instagram Tuesday. “Priscilla threw me a little party and recreated a bunch of places I lived in the early days. … Here’s to the next 40!”

Chan, 39, shared her own post , writing, “Mark doesn’t usually let me go big for his birthday but for his 40th I was allowed to throw a bash as long our friends and family also roasted him.

“We all had a blast!” she continued. “Let’s just say that no one suffered from a lack of material!”

The former pediatrician went on to put “jokes aside” and write, “As I reflect on the 21 of Mark’s birthdays we have spent together, one of my favorite things about Mark is how he really, truly believes in people. He sees the potential in all of us.”

Zuckerberg and Chan met and fell in love in 2003 while attending Harvard University.

The duo married in May 2012 in the backyard of their Palo Alto, Calif., home.

Maxima arrived in December 2015, followed by August and Aurelia in August 2017 and March 2023, respectively.

The award winning 39.37m/129'2" motor yacht 'Aurelia' was built by Cantiere Delle Marche in Italy at their Ancona shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Francesco Paszkowski Design and she was delivered to her owner in October 2020. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Sergio Cutolo.

Aurelia has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising two VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Aurelia is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,800hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 60,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Aurelia features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 8,500 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) C ✠ HULL ● MACH classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.
