Charter Base Information – Octopus Yachting Preveza

PRE-CHARTER INFORMATION

Please complete and submit the crew list as soon as possible, ideally at least 2 weeks before your charter starts. If you have booked a skipper please ignore any skipper sections of the form. Please complete the crew list electronically as hand written forms are not accepted by the port authorities.

If you need any help or information when arranging your travel to the yacht base we will be glad to help. If you would like a transfer to the yacht base please complete the information in the Island Sailing transfer link .

If you have booked other accommodation prior to your charter it always works best to ask them to organise your transfer to the yacht base.

If you are making your own way to the yacht base please let us know the approximate time of your arrival. If you are going to be significantly earlier or later than expected please let the base team know, the contact details are on the Base Information Page.

Please use soft bags for luggage rather than hard cases  as space on a yacht is limited and hard edges and wheels that can also damage the boat. It’s always best to travel light.

Best Holiday Ever

We booked a catamaran, a skipper (Nikos) and a host (Andreas) with Octopus for a weeks sailing in Greece. Octopus were very easy to deal with they sent very detailed plans of the marina and the boat, on arrival they had everything ready for us we had pre ordered some essentials for the boat so could set sail straight away. Our host Andreas prepared us the most incredible meals, all made from very fresh ingredients and done with such love and care which came through in the taste. Nikos (Skipper) loved spear fishing so on occasion caught our food which he and Andreas then turned into the most delicious feast. They both had great knowledge of the islands we visited so were able to recommend things to see and do and booked us taxi's and tour guides on each visit. They also had tremendous recommendations for local restaurants to eat in and helped us order so we can try all the best traditional dishes. On my birthday I got up and they had decorated the boat in bunting, banners and balloons and both sang Happy Birthday in Greek, well I think it was Happy Birthday! Andreas also made me the most beautiful birthday cake which was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. Nikos found lovely bays everyday so we could swim although he refused to go in as he said it was too cold for him? They were great fun and perfect sailing companions. When we got back to Alimos, Octopus were there to greet us make sure everything was okay, we stayed on the boat that night in the port, they booked our transfers and even came back early morning the next day to help us with our bags. I would highly recommend Octopus and ask for Nikos and Andreas the dream team. It really was the perfect holiday...well apart from the speedos!!
