We joined this tour on May 2nd, and it was such a great way to experience Miami. The staff was very friendly, and the boat was super clean which is a big +. The boat we went one was the island queen cruises double decker boat. On the tour we were able to see so many celebrity mansions and sun set. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend the tour.

The Miami sunset boat tour was absolutely awesome! The sunset views over Miami from the boat were breathtaking, and the whole vibe was super chill. We sat upstairs, which is a shaded top deck. I'd totally recommend it for a cool and relaxing evening out.

Before the trip he was easy to get in touch with and extremely responsive, helped design the perfect route based on what we wanted to see, and was great to work with. The boat is beautiful and in excellent shape, perfect for lounging on the deck or under the covered awning in the back. Water, Gatorade, and a Bluetooth speaker was provided which was great. Capt Jules was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with interesting information about the setting while still allowing for a private experience for us. Jules, on a six hour sail to Sands Key within Biscayne National Park. It was an outstanding sail, with plenty of space for the four of us to feel comfortable. Capt. Jules was very friendly and informative, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. It was really nice to get to know him, and learn a little bit about sailing. Once we arrived at Sands Key, the snorkeling was so nice. Water is warm enough to just wear a swimsuit and feel comfortable. We saw little school fish, a puffer fish, and a spiny lobster! The water was very shallow (less than 7 feet, some places more like three feet). Capt. Jules provided fins and life jackets, and we decided to bring our own snorkel gear (though he offered that as well). We enjoyed the bottled water and Gatorade that he provided on our way back to shore. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a high quality sailing experience. We head out of the harbour to downtown Miami watching the sunset behind us as we left. Seeing dolphins on our way, the lights and reflections of the city skyline were amazing in the sunset. WHAT KIND of EXPERIENCE  YOU are LOOKING for?

While researching sailing operators - keep always in mind - that in order to make BEST decision - the price tag shall not be your main indicator - as the saying says -  “you get what you paid for” in the end . 

Make sure you are not fooled with PERFECT catalogue pictures and shiny marketing materials - as they may be further from reality than you could imagine.  Ask for real images ;-)

Don’t be fooled that advertising the NEWEST boat (was it the newest when the website was made, when ? ) is  therefore BEST - as the age of the sailing vessel and your charter  experience, has nothing to do with you final satisfaction. 

You can have the best time of your life on a classic boat from 1940s - as long as the vessel is taken care of and CLEAN - by devoted and passionate owner. 

Some classic yachts  are like WINE especially if cared by a devoted owner  - and offer luxury experience on a comfortable   ELEGANT classy  vessel. Quality of most stadarized new “modern” vessels is far below the vessels that were made before 90s (in most cases - excluding of course world famous million dollar + yachts e.g. Oester etc). Why ? Cost effectiveness ….to cater to  middle class. And most owners know it - therefore they keep good boats - see % of value depreciation of new “modern” vessels to well known classics from 90s :-) - there is a reason why they keep the value and don’t loose 50% in first 5 yrs :)

Before,  the yachts of 40 feet plus were built with quality for the people who could afford it - and expecting highest quality - without cutting corners. Today casual market tempts with lower prices - compromising quality tremendously.

However in any service, and especially charter  - the most important factor is a   HUMAN factor  - as in the end you will remember  WHO you sailed with  . 

Was the captain/crew professional? courteous? entertaining? or your skipper was a “ driver" that wanted to have it done asap …and you had nothing to talk about …. Is he “young” and strong enough to fully perform and open sails ( yes - it is very much physically demanding job and need full attention) … . Did he open sails or was under motor only for his convenience ?

Miami has it all - just make your research and be careful with “product - placement’ articles, literally advertising one particular boat / location for the convenience of the author = that boat owner :-)

There is much more to that. We love photography but we don’t call ourselves pros just because we have a DSLR Nikon or Canon (nowadays everybody calls themselves pro :-)

For truly professional services - you may hire photographer and invite him aboard. Research well, as most “prof” in Miami may be a person with DSLR and silly skills behind 

Good Photography is an ART for which you need a good eye and tech skills (science) as well.

Timing - Most sailors know that even a full day is not enough to enjoy true sailing trip - but due to time - half day ( 4 hrs ) is our most popular charter .

We don’t recommend anything shorter than 4 hrs - as honestly 2 h ride ( offered by many older retired captains) means  leaving marina - motor and back in slip. 

Each marina (in Miami) = no exceptions , have access channel that can be 10-20 -30 min long - before you can open sail, based on wind direction of course  - so calculating entry and docking part - you know your answer what 2 hrs on sailboat is a ride from any location.

For some captains - due to their age - it is more convenient - as it is the easiest trip and does not even require opening sails …. just motoring … and for them least effort and most money earned by doing 2-4 a day short riders under motor.

For sure this is not BEST value you were hoping for ...

Florida by Water: Go Sailing at Sunset

Taking a sunset sail is the perfect ending to any Florida day.

Taking a sunset sail is arguably the perfect ending to any Florida day. Sails billow in the breeze. The sky glows a fiery orange before dissolving into pinks and purples. Your boat chases the sun until it disappears below the horizon or "sizzles" into the water. Sunset cruises typically leave the marina in late afternoon and include optional adult beverages to toast the day.

Jolly II Rover , Key West

When the Jolly II Rover sails out of the Historic Seaport at Key West on its daily sunset cruise, people on shore and on passing boats stop in their tracks to take notice. The magnificent, square-rigged tall ship, an early 1800s American coastal schooner replica, boasts distinctive red sails. For many locals and visitors, experiencing at least one sunset from the deck of the Jolly II Rover is a Key West rite of passage. Weather permitting, the ship's two-hour Red Sails in the Sunset cruise operates every day, and every trip includes a booming cannon salute and the opportunity to help hoist the sails.

Kai Lani Charters, Clearwater Beach

Custom designed and built in Clearwater, Kai Lani is a 50-foot-long and 30-foot-wide catamaran owned and operated by locals Captain Mike Judge and his wife, Claire. A canary yellow, 64-foot-tall mast makes the Kai Lani easy to spot when the boat is docked in bustling Clearwater Beach Marina or when it's gliding through the Intracoastal Waterway on its way to catch the sunset in the Gulf of Mexico. " Kai Lani is a one-of-a-kind boat," says Claire, who serves as crew, guide, and host on every trip. "A unique, rotating wing mast creates a more efficient and smooth sail, and the open bar area gives a party feel to any sail."

Sailing into the sunset South Beach-style is a luxurious, tailor-made experience. Agata Pozniak, owner of Miami Sailing Adventures , designs fully customized trips aboard private sailing yachts, accommodating 2 to 12 passengers. Sunset sails can include dinners prepared fresh on board, swim stops, and opportunities to take the helm and learn from the captain. The specifics—such as start time, duration, and either blue water (ocean) or calm Biscayne Bay water sailing—are up to you. "Most sunset sails finish with amazing views of the Miami skyline by night," says Pozniak. "We depart from South Beach, so you'll see South Pointe, Fisher Island, Port of Miami, downtown Miami, and Virginia Key. The sunset views are either on Biscayne Bay or on the ocean along South Beach. You don't have to be a sailor to join us. In fact, most of our guests are on a sailboat for the first time."

Practical Tip: Sunset sails are popular year-round. Advance reservations always are recommended.

At anchor for short swims and enjoy snacks refreshments while surrounded by the natural beauty of the largest marine park in the country. This sailing tour may be customized to include other preferred sights or water activities within the charter trip. During your sailing trip, you will feel doing something exciting and relaxing at the same time, creating amazing sailing memories to share with family and friends. This Four Hour sailing tour will amaze you as you can come close to the feeling of flying by hoisting sails and sailing with nothing but gentle wind carrying you on the seas. Depending on wind speed and direction, sailing tours could be performed on one of the following sailing points: slow wind and wind, easy going broad reach sailing, sporty beam reach, or spicy and challenging close hauled sailing. With the 8-Hour & 10-Hour trips, we can either hoist sails and head south to either Boca Chita or Elliot Key, both destinations are only accessible by boat and approximately three hours of sailing to reach or if you prefer, we can split sailing and anchor time for enjoying fun water activities around the boat. Optional tandem kayak, paddle board, and/or a relaxation station can be added to your trip. If you choose sailing south to Elliot Key which is the largest island in Biscayne Bay National Park and is approximately twelve miles south of our departure point, you can explore the warm beaches, go kayaking, paddling a stand-up board. We can also provide you with snorkeling gear at no additional cost. Note that the Relaxation Station option is only feasible if your preference is spending more time with water activities and anchor close to Miami. After approximate 8 to 10 hours in Biscayne Bay, we go back to the marina full of experiences and pleasant memories to share with family and friends. Diddy's los angeles and miami homes raided by federal law enforcement, diddy homes in l.a. & miami raided ... by federal agents, exclusive details 7.5k 3/25/2024 1:19 pm pt.

2:52 PM PT -- The scene at Diddy 's Los Angeles-area home appears to be winding down, and a new photo obtained by TMZ shows just how bustling it was with law enforcement activity.

Check out this picture ... which shows scores of agents and officers on the ground. Safe to say, they went in locked and loaded -- time will tell what, if anything, they've found.

1:42 PM PT -- TMZ has obtained extra footage of cops on the scene near Diddy's L.A.-area home -- and it looks like officers have shut down the entire area ... with helicopters swarming up above. There are at least two choppers in the area, and a lot of police on the ground.

1:38 PM PT -- A rep for Homeland Security Investigations ... "Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available."

1:29 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ this case is being handled out of the Southern District of New York. Reports say this appears to be tied to sex trafficking allegations -- which have been levied against Diddy in recent months from different plaintiffs.

FOX11 has posted video that appears to show several individuals in handcuffs near the property -- and a couple of them appear to be Diddy's sons, Justin and King Combs.

TMZ has obtained additional footage that shows federal agents rolling up to Diddy's via water. The video shows armed agents standing on a boat, and they too appear to be armed.

Diddy is in the crosshairs of law enforcement on both coasts of America -- as federal agents have descended on his Beverly Hills home.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that agents for Homeland Security are in the middle of raiding Diddy's properties.

There are helicopters overhead and local law enforcement is also present, although we're told Homeland Security is the lead agency.

There are law enforcement walking through the house with guns drawn and there are people being questioned in the front of the house. We do not know if Diddy is present.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ his home on the East Coast is also being raided ... we're told the home is in Miami.

As you know, there have been multiple allegations in several civil suits against Diddy , including human trafficking, all of which he has denied.

We have reached out to Diddy's rep. So far, no word back.
