Founded on ideals of camaraderie, community, and meaningful connections, being a member of the green pond yacht club is like joining a second family. we strive to be a place where we can leave all politics, drama and differences at the doorstep – a safe haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life..

As a member of GPYC, you gain access to our club restaurant, as well as our newest dining area, “Chairs on the Water”, both of which boast superlative views of the Green Pond and Nantucket sound/Martha’s Vineyard.

There are five unique dining spaces including chairs on the water (outside dining open around april 15th thru mid-september), the bar, main dining room (high tops), the front dining room (low tables), the deck, and upstairs (the crow’s nest and the bridge), so you always have a place at the table that feels right for you and your guests. the food is superb and the wait staff is committed to making your experience here a memorable one., gpyc phone : 508-540-5497.

In order to avoid confusion with the Green Pond Marina, (which is located diagonally across the bridge from us), we have changed the name of our marina to The Haven Marina. Located approximately 9 miles from Martha’s Vineyard, boaters are close to Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven, Lake Tashmoo, Tarpolin Cove, Menemsha, Woods Hole, etc.

Green Pond Marina, Yacht Club Sold

Green Pond Marina and Yacht Club has a new owner, but its purpose and services are not changing much.

Kevin B. Harrington Jr. of Falmouth, doing business as Green Pond Holdings LLC, purchased the property December 30.

Harry Turner of Acapesket Road had owned the Green Pond property at 366 Menauhant Road in East Falmouth since 2000.

Since the 1960s the property has included Green Pond Seafood, Green Pond Tackle Inc., a complete fish market, and a marina that accommodates 75 boats.

“I will try to continue to bring the same great service that Harry has brought for the past 10 years to the restaurant and marina,” Mr. Harrington said Wednesday , January 15 . “We’ll continue hauling boats and servicing engines, and we’re aiming to keep the same staff.”

The restaurant will have a new chef and a different menu, with lower pricing for many menu items, Mr. Harrington said.

“Harry has done a great job getting it all to this point, and I want to continue his great stewardship of the property,” he said. “We used to sell Mako boats here, but we’re not going to be selling those anymore.”

Mr. Turner could not be reached for comment.

This is a small local club that offer some of the best meals in Falmouth. It has a very comfortable personality, offers a nice view and is compliment with great service. As a private club, you can almost always get a reservation during the summer.... They offer dining on the deck overlooking the water when it warms up. In season they offer lunch as well. A town dock across the street provides transient dockage to those who want to arrive by boat. The best part is the dues to join are probably the lowest in the area. Social activities are offered as well. This truly a hidden gem! More

Got a gift certificate to use here and had a fabulous meal. Oyster Rockefeller tasty variation. Scallop dish superb and swordfish done perfectly. My friend had the Portuguese stew and was talking about it for days after. Shelly the pastry chef and server was professional... attentive and made some great deserts. We have been to here many times. Wonderful food and wonderful service if I could give higher than a 5 I would.

They claim to have best food in town. This is not so. Food is OK mediocre at best.Its a little overpriced. The current chef is rude arrogant and unstable and should definitely be replaced. He is an accident waiting to happen, no customer skills and... too full of himself to attract new members, as stated he needs to be replaced. The club itself is nice and so are the members, at least the ones I have met. The bar is small and does get crowded at times although it seems that many of the original members have stopped coming in so maybe this situation will improve. The only problem is the chef. The owner and his wife are very nice and so is May the bartender. More

This restaurant has a really cool vibe and the people there are all really nice. The new owner changed the staff and the new chef is amazing! Had the chicken pot stickers and OMG sooooo good!

We heard nice things about the adjacent Yacht Club (nice view, good food). We seriously thought about joining the club but are thinking twice after hearing that the owner was putting up a half way house next to it. Hope it's not true but if so definitely not joining.

The Haven Marina has dock space for 64 boats.

Our slips can accommodate boats from 13’ – 25’ preferably no larger than 8’ beam.  The bridge height can accommodate 8’2” at high tide, so folding bimini tops tend to work best.

Do you require slip owners to service their boats with you.

We do not…at this time.  Many other marinas require that you do service with them.  If that changes, we will post that info.

Do you have slips for inboard/outboards?

Yes, we have a limited number of slips that can accommodate an inboard/outboard.

Do I have to have a slip to be a member at GPYC?

Do i have to be a member of gpyc to get a slip.

No, you do not have to a member to get a slip at The Haven Marina.

How often do the slips turnover?

Generally, there are only a couple of slips that become available each year.  Usually, it is because someone has moved or has bought a boat that won’t fit under the bridge.

Do you have a waiting list?

Every year we have a waiting list that builds up.  In the beginning of September, we throw away our waiting list and start a new list. 

Do you have any sailing lessons or sail boats for rent?

No there are no sailing lessons or sailboats for rent.

Do you have kayaks or boat for rent?

No, there are not kayaks or boats available to rent.

Do you have any transient slips for Green Pond Yacht Club?

Looking for a Cape Cod waterfront hotel? Our Falmouth hotel is the answer. Come to Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging. You will be treated to a beautiful wooded setting, spacious lawns, and a breathtaking ocean inlet. All of our Falmouth, MA waterfront rentals feature a slider to a balcony or patio overlooking the water.   ​​​ Falmouth Harbor Sailing School is a 501 C 3 nonprofit organization, located at the Falmouth Yacht Club (FYC) on Vineyard Sound. The School is supported by student tuition and generous donations from individuals and local organizations. All sailors are welcome to participate, and members of the FYC are eligible for a membership discount.   The purpose of the School is to educate young sailors, ages 7-18, on sailing techniques and knowledge of the sport. Private lessons for adults and/or children are available upon request.    The school maintains an up-to-date fleet of boats which are available for student to use during class and the weekly race series. Races are held on Fridays and are optional but highly encouraged to help sailors aspire to race competitively.
