Ferretti 870

The Ferretti 870 is yet another accomplishment resulting from the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project; AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology), Ferretti Group’s research and naval design center; and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferretti Group.

The Ferretti 870 enhances some of the most successful features of its line and stands out for a large number of innovative design solutions, including the bronze dome over the navigation bridge and large glazing extending along the entire main deck and in the hull at the cabins’ level. The two open-view windows in the master cabin, in particular, have now been joined by large windows with opening portholes in the guest cabins and two windows in the VIP cabin (located at the extreme bow), which result in extraordinary indoor brightness and offer guests wonderful views.

The increased length of this new model can be immediately perceived in the cockpit — so wide it can really be considered as an outdoor lounge where time can be pleasantly spent in good company. The teak table seating six to eight people has been joined, even in the standard version, by a functional bar unit located on the port side, beside the glazed door leading to the salon which includes a lower gunwale at the level of the dining area — a solution normally found on much larger yachts — which results in more harmonious outer lines and in a sleeker, longer profile characterized by spaciousness, elegance, and sportiness.

The new Ferretti 870 comes with two 12V 2000 M94 MTU engines, which have a power of 1948 mph at 2450 rev/min. and allow it to reach a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 30.5 knots. At the maximum speed, the boat has a range of 300 nautical miles, which increases to 358 nautical miles at cruising speed.

The Ferretti 870 is an 87-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was launched by renowned Italian boat-building firm Ferretti at the 2012 Cannes Boat Show. Designed in partnership with Studio Zuccon, the 870 impresses with super-sharp lines, shark’s gill windows, a dramatic cantilevered flybridge, cutaway gunwales and a shimmering bronzed roof above-helm. Winner of the title for “Best Semi-Customized Yacht” at the 2015 Robb Report Awards held in Shanghai, this Ferretti Yacht established new standards for supreme comfort and bespoke luxury among the Ferretti fleet.

Buyers can opt for an open-top flybridge or one with a fiberglass hard-top, and can expect teak flooring, full-beam dimensions and space at the rear for tender storage with a davit. Also available on this level is a jacuzzi surrounded by a sunpad, a sinuous S-shaped sofa for up to seven guests that surrounds an extending dining table, a forward loveseat and an open wet-bar with an icemaker and a grill. A port-side upper helm, meanwhile, comes fully equipped with everything required for elevated full-throttle piloting.

A plethora of outdoor space on the main deck means plenty of opportunity for sunbathing, socializing and enjoying cool coastal breezes while you relish fine meals and fine company. A triple-width sunpad on the foredeck is joined by a sheltered aft-cockpit to the stern that is lined in weather-proofed teak and comes with a walk-in wet-bar, while side steps lead down to a hydraulic bathing platform at the rear.

The main-deck salon is subject to customization, but early hulls boasted dark oak and walnut surrounds with Poltrona Frau leather furnishings, Cantalupi lighting and plush woolen carpets from GT Design. There is room to aft for an L-shaped sofa, a pair of integral armchairs, a home entertainment system and a glass-topped dining table for up to eight guests. You can also choose for an enclosed or open on-deck galley kitchen featuring Ernestomeda detailing, Bosch appliances, quartz work surfaces and GE fridge-freezer units. At the front of the main deck, you will find an enclosed pilothouse with superb visibility, a ZF Steercommand system, hydraulic stern thruster controls, a docking joystick and Simrad display panels.

Up to eight overnight guests will enjoy retreating downstairs each evening, where ample head clearance, capacious dimensions and oversized trapezoidal or mullioned hull windows give lower deck cabins an astonishing sense of boundless space. A pair of en-suite doubles are joined by an en-suite twin taking up the forward half of the lower-deck, while amidship there is a full-beam owner’s stateroom. This lavish room boasts deluxe carpeting, a king-sized bed, a work desk, a side sofa, a walk-in closet and a Capannoli-designed bathroom with couple’s sinks and a waterfall shower with a Bianchi e Fontana frosted glass door.

A pair of MTU 12V 2000 M94 1947MHP diesel engines prompt top speeds of around 31 knots and cruising speeds of 27 knots at half-loads. At a more comfortable pace of 10 knots, however, you can pilot this vessel for more than 1,000 nautical miles, more than enough for a horizon-busting journey from Cannes to Corsica or a return trip between Florida and the Bahamas.

Description

Bigger, roomier, more comfortable! These watchwords have guided the designers of Ferretti and designers Studio Zuccon, creating a motor yacht Ferretti 870. According to the concept plan, it repeats the model of the Ferretti 750, but the increase is 4 meters long and 1.5 meters wide allowed to create on Board a much more comfortable environment for guests.The master cabin is amidships on yachts now the owner of opens a sea view through two large Windows, with built-in portholes in both sides, where there are traditional soft sofa on the window sill. It is equipped with a real king size bed, and the bathroom and closet, located behind the bulkhead at the head of the bed, securely isolated owner's Suite from the sound of the two diesel engines MTU 12V M94 power 1948 horsepower.Of the three double guest cabins, two it is possible to assign the title of VIP-cabins: large double beds and spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers allow for this. The main deck layout is also consistent with models of Ferretti 750, but it is much more spacious and luxurious. The main difference of the two yachts, which are reflected in appearance, is the lowering of the line of the bulwark in the center of the dining room Windows for a better view of the sea.

Ferretti 870

Ferretti Yachts 870 results from the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project and the research center of the Ferretti Group.

It features both the bronze dome over the helm station and the large glazed surfaces. Beside the two open-view windows at the level of the owner cabin, large windows for the guest cabins and a double window in the fore VIP cabin have been added. The glazed surface of the main deck has been increased and renewed, thanks to the lowering of the gunwale.

The outer look is characterized by outstanding lightness, elegance and aggressiveness, also thanks to the three ‘shark branchiae’ windows separating the salon’s glazing from the helm station’s one. On the main deck, living and dining areas, galley and helm station have been effectively separated: the latter two, extensively modified too, are located at bow, completely divided from the rest. On the lower deck the yacht makes the best of the increased volumes, thanks to the shifting of all cabins towards the larger stern are.

This yacht offers wide spaces, in particular in the owner cabin and in the portside guest cabin.

You can also get here pretty easily by taking the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line to the end at Medvedkovo and there catch a bus or marshrutka to the Mytishchi center from the metro station.
