I DYNASTY yacht interior

The interior of the I DYNASTY is designed by Studio Massari, a luxury Italian designer. The designs are lavish and the epitome of opulence with warm honey-colored woods, and honor classical design motifs.

The owner’s brief for the interior was a cozy family yacht with a “wow” factor. She has accommodation for 22 guests in 11 suites, with cabin space for 30 crew in 15 cabins.

The interior of the I DYNASTY yacht offers features for guests to enjoy such as a beauty salon, and a beach club for the perfect indoor/outdoor experience on the water level.

The swimming pool on board is expansive and is a stunning feature that the guests on board can enjoy.

There are multiple places on-board for the above-average number of guests to enjoy together, from the expansive salon to the beach club below.

One of the largest megayachts in the world turns heads in Malaga marina again

The 141-metre-long luxury vessel is based on the hull of an old dutch navy frigate. it has a helipad, several swimming pools, and capacity for 60 passengers and 56 crew members.

One of the largest megayachts in the world, the 141-metre-long Yas, has cruised into Malaga’s marina for luxury vessels again.

It is the second visit by the colossal craft, a former Dutch navy frigate, and it remains the largest to moor in the city centre facility. In the process, it has put many of the Muelle Uno restaurants and shops in the shade - literally.

The Yas, as it is known today, is actually the second life of another ship. Named Swift141 during her reconstruction, the Yas is based on the hull of an old frigate; Piet Hein, a Kortenaer class frigate of the Royal Netherlands Navy. She was launched in 1978 and later sold to the United Arab Emirates Navy, where she operated under the name Al Emirat. This practice is not that rare, as a second frigate of the same class is in fact undergoing a similar conversion; the Abraham Crijnssen, renamed Abu Dhabi.

One of the most impressive features of the Yas is its size. It is 141-metres-long and has several swimming pools and helipad. Its interior was created by French designers House Pierrejean Vision Design Studio.

The megayacht is capable of carrying up to 60 guests and 56 crew members. The facilities include a beauty salon and a lift. Powered by two diesel engines, she cruises comfortably at 23 knots, with a top speed of 26 knots and a range of up to 5,758 nautical miles.

The ship belongs to Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prince of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, so it can be considered the official yacht of the Emirati crown. Known as Fazza, 40, the prince is very active on social media, where he has more than 12 million followers. With his snapshots, you can get a closer look at his luxury day-to-day life in Dubai.

My Guilty Pleasure: Dynasty Clawed Its Way into My Heart

I t started the way so many bad habits—or good vices—do, with peer pressure.

“I’m addicted,” my cousin told me.

“You’ll love it,” my friend promised.

And that’s how, just short of forty-three years after its premiere, I shelled out $24.99 and began watching the first season of Dynasty .

The original Dynasty came out in 1981, created—depending on who you believe—as either a ready knock-off of the wildly popular Dallas , or as a groundbreaking series about “a person’s search for a particular type of love” in the tradition of Steinbeck, Dickens, and Dostoevsky. The latter assertions, made earnestly by the show’s cocreator Esther Shapiro, elicited laughter and scorn from grumpy reporters after a viewing of the three-hour premiere.

  • Mona Awad’s Skin Care Obsession
  • Why I Can’t Stop Watching Say Yes to the Dress
  • The Legend of Zelda ’s Wild Landscapes Fill Me with Awe

Centred in gauzy focus on the super-rich Carrington family, Dynasty was originally panned as “an orgy of mediocre television,” “painfully corny,” and an “overstuffed turkey.” But as its own characters would do time and time again, Dynasty clawed its way to the top, shoving Dallas into the proverbial swimming pool to become the top-rated TV series of the time.

The pleasures of Dynasty aren’t hard to find. There are the sumptuous sets, the sweeping score, and a cast of some of the hottest actors of the day, engaged in all manner of passionate entanglement. By the time the clever, carnal, conniving Alexis Carrington stalked into the courtroom at the end of season one, I was hooked. But hooked on what?

There are universal themes: mother and father issues, violence, ambition, class, matters of health and sexuality and prejudice, and—yes, Esther—the search for many different kinds of love. There is the scripting (clever) and the way it’s delivered (breathily). There is the action (constant) and the cliffhangers (effective). As Mark Muro wrote in the Boston Globe in 1983, “It’s as if they jammed five segments of any other soap opera into each hour. Bang, bang, bang: kidnapping, bigamy, rape, financial ruin, death-bed marriages, adultery, lost sons, babies falling from roofs?!?!?!?!  ” (Emphasis and frantic punctuation mine, as I haven’t gotten to that scene and was therefore transcribing my own spoiler.)

There is the hair and the hats and the makeup— and there are the clothes . Clothes so lavish costume designer Nolan Miller once spent $100,000 (US) on just two episodes. The clothes are a delight of slacks and gowns, of sequins and pussy bows and shoulder pads so big Linda Evans once said she and Joan Collins couldn’t walk through a door at the same time, and she probably wasn’t joking.

The clothes make clear what viewers quickly discover: that although Dynasty ostensibly centres on Blake Carrington, the women around him are the real heart of the show. There’s Krystle, sweet and steadfast. Fallon, sharp and protective. And there’s Alexis, arguably one of television’s greatest female characters. A ravishing middle-aged woman, impeccably appointed and rarely without a glass of champagne, equally unapologetic about her current schemes and her past scandals, like those beach boys in Kauai or whatever happened on the Greek tycoon’s yacht that night.

Literary allusions aside, Dynasty is a soap opera, as maligned, or at least dismissed, a form of entertainment as the romance novels Joan Collins’s sister, Jackie, made her own fortune writing. A room full of men laughed openly at Esther Shapiro for the very idea her show could have any relation to great works of literature. And maybe this is where the guilt of the pleasure lies. We aren’t meant to take some things seriously. “Critics dismiss it as trash, but we do create women who are not victims,” Shapiro told a female reporter in 1988. “It’s pure entertainment for women. That’s something that has been looked down on.”

It’s true while watching Krystle (plum slacks and high-necked blouse) and Alexis (periwinkle shirt and pleated culottes) passionately tearing up a room in a flamboyant cat fight—complete with torn pillows, ripped clothing, shattered flower vases, and a smashed painting of Blake—I wondered if I should have enjoyed the scene quite so much.

But if there’s anything I’ve learned from spending a season with Alexis Carrington, it’s never to deprive yourself of pleasure. And not to spend any time feeling guilty about it.

Crypto party with sushi platter models shows that toxic culture is alive and well in London finance

super yacht dynasty

Orianna Rosa Royle in London here, filling in for Peter.  If you thought seeing scantily clad women serving food to finance bros at wild parties was a thing of the ’90s, think again.

Just last week, leaked photos revealed that a cryptocurrency company Copper, chaired by British politician Lord Philip Hammond, hosted a private London bash in March where guests were served sushi off the bodies of half-naked models.

It turns out that not even a global pandemic, lockdowns, and new levels of respect for colleagues’ personal space (remember the elbow bump?) were enough to kill Wolf of Wall Street -era antics.

In the City of London, at least, toxic culture is still thriving—and Copper’s hedonistic soirée is only the most recent evidence.

Last month, the U.K. parliament released its much-anticipated report into Sexism in the City .

More than 40 women in finance spoke to MPs on the Treasury committee about their experience during the inquiry to determine how much meaningful progress City employers had made since the last investigation in 2018. The answer appears to be “not much.”

Aviva CEO Amanda Blanc told MPs that harassment in financial services—which employs more than 2.5 million people—is still worse than in any other industry.

Citing data collected by the not-for-profit organization Speak Out Revolution and the advocacy group Can’t Buy My Silence, the report says that “45% of workers working in the financial services industry have encountered sexual harassment in the workplace.”

“The evidence we took was shocking, especially the extent of misogyny, sexual harassment and bullying, up to and including serious sexual assault and rape,” the report noted, adding that the use of victim-silencing NDAs is still prevalent.

Last week, the Guardian reported that the CBI has used up to 10 gagging clauses to prevent staff from discussing their experiences of sexual misconduct and bullying at the organization in the last year alone.

And last month three more women asked to join a sexual misconduct lawsuit against one of Britain’s best-known hedge fund managers, Crispin Odey, and his firm Odey Asset Management. (Odey has denied all allegations.)

Ongoing abuse is one of the reasons why Blanc, who became the blue-chip company’s first female chief executive in 2020, is now personally signing off on white male hires as part of the firm’s drive to improve diversity.

“My belief is if you have more women in senior management roles, this behavior will go away,” she explained. In Europe, 44% of financial services directors appointed in 2023 were female; in Britain, the figure dropped to 33% . Copper, meanwhile, has an all-male board .

In the aftermath of the sushi incident, Copper told the Financial Times that it is launching an internal probe into its event approval process. (Copper did not respond to Fortune’ s request for comment.)

But really, the entire finance industry needs to check itself. Its CEOs have been among the loudest supporters of in-office mandates ; it’s up to them to ensure that the toxic culture of the past doesn’t return to the office as well.

Building a Lego family fortune

Lego’s lesser-known billionaire dynasty got a bit richer last year. The Kirk Kristiansen family’s Kirkbi fund, which owns 75% of Lego, increased profits to $1.62 billion in 2023, as Lego bucked a wider global industry slump in sales. Internally, the family, worth $25 billion, completed a seven-year transition, with former CEO Kjeld handing over the title of “most-active owner” to his fourth-generation son, Thomas. Fortune

Tony’s Chocolonely’s famous uneven chocolate pieces and bright packaging might seem like another quirky piece of product differentiation, but it’s all part of a wider plan to address inequality in the cocoa industry. In a new interview, the chocolate maker’s U.K. and Ireland boss discussed how the group uses loud marketing practices to spark a change in how cocoa is sourced. Fortune

Weight loss for less

Danish pharma sensation Novo Nordisk fell under the spotlight for the wrong reasons last week. Researchers discovered that the group’s appetite suppressant, Ozempic, could be profitably produced for less than $5 per month, compared with the $968.52 Novo sells it for in the U.S. The findings drew the ire of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I–Vt.) and will place scrutiny on Novo’s pricing strategy. Bloomberg
