S07 semi-displacement motor yacht design CYD201 built by Manda Yachts in the Mondolfo (Italy) factory.

The result is an innovative and unique design for the type of boat.

And the CYD201 is a semi-displacement family design.

The hull line that had been developed by Ceccarelli Yacht Design for Manda Yachts and validated with CFD.

The yacht is designed to achieve excellent seakeeping capabilities, lifetime cost efficiency, and, last but not least, to be easy to maintain despite the complexity of the vessel.

The operational profile allows continuous year-round operation worldwide.

The result is a ship designed to have seaworthiness, good motion at sea, stability at rest, and to meet noise and vibration requirements while maintaining reliability.

We design and build focusing on environmentally friendly solutions to reduce emissions both to the air and sea to a minimum level in the operational range.

The yacht is organized as a one (2) two-deck yacht. The original open upper deck, can optionally be closed with glass windows that can be closed at the touch of a button

The engine room is arranged aft under the bathing platform.

This yacht has been sized for a maximum draft of about 1.5 M.

All various materials and equipment must come from recognized manufacturers and meet the requirements of current rules and regulations.

The yacht can be built in 3 or 4 cabin versions with respective bathrooms and a cabin for 2 crew members.

As is the style of the shipyard, the lay out and interior can be customized according to the shipowner's specifications to meet his or her needs as much as possible. 

The yacht will be able to meet the general needs of the yachting industry according to CE Scantling.

The yacht is arranged with berths for (8) eight people and a maximum capacity of 16 people.

Can a motor-powered yacht look like a beautiful sailboat? Yes, if the builder is Custom Yacht and the lines are drawn by the masterful pencil of Giovanni Ceccarelli.

Custom Yacht, the yacht boutique that manufactures custom yachts and superyachts, unveils its 2021 premiere and does so in grand style, hiring the well-known Italian designer to forge a boat that represents a true breaking point.

Mr. Ceccarelli has taken up the challenge and, backed by his long experience in the design of sailboats, has designed a model capable of combining two opposite worlds: the motor and the sailing one. An axiom that, on board this innovative 70-footer , seems to be particularly successful. The concept is named Sense 07 and is clearly designed for anyone looking for a comprehensive and quiet sea experience.

“ This boat represents a slower, more thoughtfoul boating – Giovanni Ceccarelli of Ceccarelli Yacht Design explains in an exclusive interview to The International Yachting Media – The hull of the Sense 07 was designed to reach a displacement speed up to 15 knots, with very low fuel consumption , and get up on plane at around 20 with peaks of 24 knots . It’s therefore a semi-displacement boat of small series designed not for speed lovers but for all those who like sailing slower, quieter while experiencing a full contact with the sea “.

Among them, the hull , for example, has both a functional and aesthetic function, of great importance for the overall design of the boat. Not suprisingly, Mr. Ceccarelli has signed the entire naval architecture of the boat, where the “ hull itself is architecture and is so strategic that it is itself design” , Mr. Ceccarelli explains.

The hull, whose structure is more reminiscent of that of a sailboat that a motor boat’s one, is the proof of how the Italian designer has used his sailing-inspired stylistic standards in this unprecedented naval project. But it is the entire layout that takes the sailing concepts, starting with the clear division between the day and night zone . “ Unlike large-sized, which are basically designed for internal use and where the boat is less used, the Sense 07 is designed for those who want to experience the sea from the outside and use the lower deck only to spend the night”.

The main deck is a huge open-air living zone that inspires freedom and relaxation. The bow houses a huge sundeck, a sofa and a table. The helm station is protected by a large hard-top , with a dinette and a wet bar beneath.

Despite the open configuration of the yacht, the owner can request the installation of a tilting door and of a set of fixed/sliding glass panels to close the hard top totally or partially.

Going down the two stairways that lead to the mega stern platform – a huge beach area that further enhances the philosophy of the direct contact with the sea – the visitor enters the lower deck, closed by a large retractable glass panel . This space houses a really generous salon, with two U-shaped sofas and two opposing tables; the galley and the staircase that leads to the main deck are positioned amidships.

The sleeping zone consists of two guest cabins , a crew cabin and, of course, a master cabin , all equipped with private head. The entire lower deck is at the water level and, thanks to the large side windows, gives a direct and unparalleled contact with the sea.

The engine room accomodates two Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines and is positioned under the salon walkway: this solution allows to free up a lot of space, with a very low metacenter, for greater stability.

“ For time, I had been observed the work that Mauro Corvisieri (founder of Custom Yacht) had carried out. I liked his dynamism and his desire to explore new routes. We both like living and respecting the sea – explains Mr. Ceccarelli, one of Custom Yacht “stylists” – Speaking, it turned out that both of us, albeit on different paths, had the idea of bringing the influence of sailing into the motor-powered world, the purity and simplicity of the hull lines and superstructures of sailing yachts in a world, too often full of volumes and baroque styles. Senses 07, a custom yacht for cruising or chartering

Senses 07 is the first yacht of the Senses Yacht brand. It is a 22 m long motor yacht, designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Ceccarelli, with a semi-displacement hull and a luxurious and custom layout.

Specialist in the construction of custom yachts

Mauro Coviseri has been developing and producing custom boats between 22 and 55 m, built in steel or aluminum, for 17 years through his company Custom Yachts . He works in collaboration with Sergio Cutolo who is in charge of the engineering part (designer for Palumbo, Cantiere delle Marche, Isa etc.), but also with three designers Marco Casali, Michele Dragoni, Giovanni Ceccarelli. Each boat is built in a shipyard in Ancona, Italy , where the hulls of prestigious shipyards such as Cantiere delle Marche, Riva or CRN are built.

A new boat concept

His new project is the Senses 07, a 22 m long and 6 m wide yacht with a draft of 1.5 m, the first model of the Senses Yacht brand.

"It's a new boat concept, on the border between sailing and motoryacht. The idea for this boat came to me during the pandemic period, when I was talking on the bow of a sailing boat. The design is completely new and it was conceived to be piloted even by one person", he explains.

The Senses 07 is a motor yacht with a modern semi-displacement hull design, with a voluminous straight bow marked by a stretched chine and an inverted bulwark. It was designed by Ceccarelli Yacht Design. The first model is already under construction and is scheduled to be launched in 2022. Its official presentation will take place in Cannes in September of the same year.

A spacious and custom design

At the stern, the large bathing platform (which can be lowered for tender launching or swimming) gives access to the main deck via two side stairs equipped with handrails. It gives direct access, via a magnificent bay window , to the salon with kitchen located on the lower deck. A design that we have already observed on the last Evo V8 . The main deck offers a U-shaped saloon to starboard with a small bar opposite. The steering position with three pilot seats is central and located at the front of the boat . A large rigid hard top covers the entire main deck, which can also be enclosed with an optional electric roof system.

The foredeck, which is accessed from the walkaround deck, is of good size and offers a saloon and a sunbathing area for 3 persons.

Below deck, there are 3 to 4 cabins, including a very nice owner's suite on the bow in the 3-cabin version. All are equipped with a private bathroom with separate shower.

The Senses 07 is powered by a Volvo Penta IPS 950 engine that gives it a maximum speed of 23 knots. The boat is delivered with a lot of equipment, including a GPS , an autopilot , air conditioning and a generator.

Motor Yacht

Motor yacht Senses is a truly exceptional charter vessel: re-fit to serve as a discovery yacht, the sturdy, masculine exterior of this superyachts contrasts beautifully with its seductive interior. Built in 1999 at the German shipyard Fr.Schweers and under the direction of Kusch Yachts, superyacht Senses has been touted as one of the most remarkable conversion projects to date. Captain Geordie Nicholson is an experienced circumnavigator whose slew of trips round the globe onboard Senses will help make every charter a completely unforgettable and boutique experience.

The interior of Senses is designed to be a luxurious respite from the possibly harsh environs outside: created by Martin Francis, the unique, harmonious interior combines spectacular woods with soft cream furnishings, all accented by the incredible works of art from the owner’s spectacular private collection.

Motor yacht Senses is able to accommodate 12 guests in one master’s suite, two double staterooms and two twin cabins, as well as the option to convert the gym into an additional twin accommodation with en-suite bathroom. All guests and Owner’s suites are located on the lower deck for maximum comfort with the Owner’s full beam stateroom lying aft and amidships. A double door leading to the Owner’s lobby lies forward of the Owner’s suite, while on the starboard side of the Owner’s suite is a sitting area with a separate sitting and office area directly opposite. Huge opening windows flood the Owner’s suite with natural light and exquisite views while underway. A king-size bed lies central to an entertainment centre, with the lovely addition of his and hers bathrooms, as well as a dressing room. Identical twin cabins with a desk, entertainment centre, sofa and en-suite bathroom with tub and twin sinks lies forward while further aft there are two identical king-size staterooms each with a desk, entertainment centre, sofa and en-suite bathroom with tub and twin sinks. Every guest cabin comes equipped with a TV, VCR and CD stereo.

Other notable features of Senses include a Jacuzzi, gymnasium, sauna and steam room and helipad, while systems include satellite television, zero-speed stabilisers, Satcom and cellular communications, internet access and a Sanyo multi-large screen projector.

Active guests will adore Senses’ onboard arsenal of toys which include two 3 man Yamaha wave runners, two stand up Yamaha single man wave runners, six full sets of dive gear, a dive compressor, water skis and tows, snorkelling gear and three kayaks. The tender collection includes a twelve metre Nelson enclosed launch, seven metre semi-rigid inflatable rib, eight metre classic L Francis Herreshoff sloop, five metre Hobie wave cat and a seven metre Grady fishing boat.

Motor yacht Senses is available for charter around the world with an upcoming season tentatively set for the following areas:

The 59.22m/194'3" 'Senses' expedition yacht built by the German Fr. Schweers Shipyard is available for charter for up to 12 guests in 7 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by Philippe Starck.

A launchpad for adventure, Senses is primed for practically every expedition imaginable across the globe.

Guest Accommodation

Families will particularly love Senses thanks to her child-friendly setup. Built in 1999, She offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and three twin cabins. There are 8 beds in total, including 3 king, 1 queen, 4 doubles, 4 singles, 2 pullmans and 1 convertible. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

You and your guests can enjoy a variety of experiences on Senses such as a gym with all the latest equipment to maintain your fitness routine. Soak up the bubbles in style in the deck jacuzzi.

Senses benefits from some excellent features to improve your charter such as Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Built with a steel hull and steel/aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Powered by twin Deutz engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 7,485 nautical miles from her 147,600 litre fuel tanks. An advanced stabilisation system on board reduces the side-to-side roll of the yacht and promises guests exceptional comfort levels at anchor or when underway.

Senses has aboard a plentiful range of water toys and accessories ready to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Make diving a focal point of your charter vacation, with PADI certified professionals and a dive compressor available alongside traditional scuba diving equipment. Take to the sea on a Jet Ski offering you power and control on the water. Guests can experience the thrill and adventure of riding one of the three Seadoo GTX WaveRunners. If that isn't enough Senses also features waterskis, a Kite Surfer, wakeboards, kayaks, WindSurfers and much more. When it comes to Tenders, Senses has you covered - with seven tenders, including a 3.66m/12' Zodiac Tender.

Senses is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in Northern Europe.

The Senses 07 is under construction, here are the first exclusive photos

News of the sale of the first Senses 07 arrived in our editorial offices in late autumn, and work on the mould of the Senses 07 began as planned.

Senses 07 is a decidedly innovative yacht, behind which is the genius mind of Mauro Corvisieri, creator of the Senses Yacht concept and owner of Custom Yachts, an intriguing shipyard that operates in the “full custom superyachts” segment.

Not surprisingly, even though the Senses 07 is a “small” 70-footer, it will be able to take advantage of prestigious spaces and finishes, worthy of yachts of a much larger size and level.

Senses 07 will also be “hyper-customized” on the basis of the very precise needs and requests of its owner. The main deck is completely open, in direct contact with the marine environment, where refined geometries come into play, enhanced by the natural space to create a true architectural masterpiece.

The lines of the boat offer a refined, sporty, futuristic aesthetic, starting with the overbearing scimitar-shaped bow and ending with the stern, which not only opens up to contact with the sea, but also features unprecedented architectural solutions.

Last but not least, the hard-top, clearly inspired by the automotive industry and of enormous dimensions, shades a large part of the deck. The detailed renderings of the interiors are still kept under wraps, but we’re sure there will be more pleasant surprises in store. The Senses 07 will also be equipped with a fin stabilisation system to increase comfort at anchor.

Senses 07, performances.

Charted cruising performance indicates a maximum planing speed of 24 knots and 15 knots in displacement, excellent figures that will allow this luxury yacht, fast, economical and comfortable trips.

The Senses 07 is scheduled for delivery at the end of this year and the production technology has been based on the best available on the market.

Interestingly, the prestigious Ceccarelli Yacht Design studio worked on the design of the Senses 07.

Senses 07 boasts class to spare, thanks to its ultra-modern geometries, but above all it features a truly innovative layout capable of generating large spaces, unusual on this size but well integrated. The lower deck again is connected with the beach area to create a beautiful, flush-to-the-water gift of paradisiacal relaxation.

The yacht has been purchased by a Campania-based charter company, which will use it mainly on the Amalfi Coast and, another rumour, it seems that the same company has also commissioned a 90-foot version of Senses, for which design work has already begun.

The mould of the Senses 07

The photo taken at the shipyard shows the full extent of the Senses 07’s 21-meter hull. “ The mould will be transferred to the production center in a few days and at the beginning of February we will “lay the first stone” and start shaping the boat”.

Mauro Corvisieri explains this directly from Montecarlo, adding that from an engineering point of view the best technologies have been used and that “ in the first phase of preparation of the mould we’ll use a special technique to literally “detach the sides” by means of a system of hydraulic hammers, specially designed by those who made the mould “.

In short, when Senses Yachts’ shipyard says that things are “in progress“, everything really makes sense. And it is that sense that is strictly Made in Italy.

Mauro Corvisieri

Mauro Corvisieri trained as a child in the “school” of his father, a port builder, from whose teachings he draws his own thoughts, making superyachts and their capacity suitable for chartering a solid point on which to base his business for more than two decades.

It’s a witty challenge and we know why: it’s easy to rig large yachts with easy spaces, but less so on more tapered sizes, under 25 meters.

To give you an idea, there are three cabins on board the Senses 07, all with en-suite heads and a cinema view of the sea, plus one for the crew. The master cabin is forward. But there’s more to the lower deck than meets the eye: a world of inventiveness that offers terraced spaces and an immense saloon that is entirely devoted to the marine environment, something rarely seen on the market today.

The renderings also make it clear that this yacht is intended to be enjoyed in the open air on the open deck , with the protection of the bulwarks marking the perimeter of the boat and safely embracing her guests.

Propulsion? Senses 07 is powered by twin Volvo Penta D11 – IPS 950s, the best on the market in terms of “safe cruising experience”.
