First impressions are always important, and Watermark delivers the wow factor when you approach her from the dock. At 17.5m long and 9m wide, this high performance vessel stems from the drawing board of the esteemed Australian yacht designer Tony Grainger. Her design brief was exhaustive, and yielded a minimalistic yet superbly comfortable adventure machine. Watermark's design and construction provides for an efficient sailing vessel capable of achieving windspeed sailing. As the wind builds, she will comfortably maintain her speed under reefed sails, and guests will enjoy the inherent stability of her 9m beam.

Watermark has 4 double guest cabins with private amenities, a full size chef's galley, tender, and plenty of space on board to relax and enjoy your time away.  She has been lovingly maintained, and presents as an impressive juxtaposition of engineering and art.

HOW MANY BEDS ARE ON BOARD?

Watermark has 4 guest cabins. All cabins are spacious and private, with a fan, reading lights, a large overhead hatch for stargazing and fresh air, and quality linen. 3 cabins have double berths, and the 4th cabin has 2 bunks. There are also 2 crew cabins on board. Long range expeditions will limit guests to 3 of the 4 cabins. Local overnight trips will see the crew use the crew cabins when required. There are 3 toilets and 4 showers on board including the popular deck shower.

IS A SKIPPER AND CREW INCLUDED?

Yes. A Watermark charter includes a Master and crew to take all the stress of sailing and navigation. Feel free to ask questions if you would like to learn more about sailing.

Wow....how amazing was that experience? We sailed out of Hervey Bay Mariner Saturday 23 September and just had the best 3 days out on the boat. The scenery was amazing and the ever-changing conditions just meant there was something new on each turn of the wheel. Oh and the whales ...how spectacular! We hired Aquila Sunrise - a very luxurious vessel and just so simple to operate - within the first half hour all my fears of having to drive a big boat were allayed. Our 7.3m Catamarans are built upon a fibreglass hull which comprises solid fibreglass with a layer of basalt fibre, E/glass and CSM in a polyester ISO system. Basalt fibre has similar strengths as carbon fibre and kevlar fibre. It is used in the construction of spaceships, missiles and now in boats, mainly for its strength and reduced weight. The top side and frames of our 7.3m catamarans are built using only non rot material including the transom.

Our Demo Boat

The 7.3 metre catamaran is a hull designed for the serious fisherman. Or for people that like to get away for a week at a time or even a couple of days. Our demo boat has been fitted with a toilet and shower. A full size double bed, or two singles, with an area to accommodate a fridge and a gas cooker with table.

Our demo boat is powered by twin 140hp Suzuki four stroke outboards. With enough fuel to do some four hundred nautical miles. The boat also features a 100 litre fresh water tank and a 65 litre black water tank.

The designer of the 7.3m catamaran is Noah Thompson, a well known boat designer. The design provides an easy to push through the water hull shape which is extremely light weight. It also fits on a trailer so you can park it in your shed at home.
