Sinot yacht architecture created the 130m motor yacht concept poetry..

POETRY has a length of 130m and a beam of 19m. The concept envisages hydrogen-electric/PEM fuel cell propulsion. The maximum speed is 17 knots; the range is 4,500 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 12 knots.

The design vision of POETRY describes Sinot as follows: “Living close to the water in perfect harmony with the aquatic environment; a seamless experience of the highest quality with loved ones aboard your private yacht.”

Sander Sinot comments: “We challenged ourselves to create a concept that fully accommodates the desires and lifestyle of the owner, without compromising the yacht design. For Poetry, we worked from a new design vision, creating a concept depicting the owner’s dreams. Less formal, more genuine, more like a home.”

POETRY is designed for privacy and socializing. Sinot comments: “This is a new, thematic approach to yacht design that starts with the dreams of the owner. For him or her we explore the inner values of space and how we live our lives with a mixture of elements that people normally do not think about.”

The wheelhouse has been moved forward, so the owner has a real private area.

POETRY accommodates 14 guests in one master suite, two VIP cabins, and four guest cabins. The number of crew is 47. The highest deck is the owner’s pavilion. Below is the private dining area with an open kitchen, cinema, and exploration room to plan routes with the captain.

The VIP suites and guest cabins are located on the main deck with private loggias. The wellness area is on the lower deck, next to the beach club, with a hammam, sauna, gym, beauty salon, etc. All the fine things for a private resort on the sea.

Poetry uses natural and artificial light to structure space, highlight details, and set the mood. Light is orchestrated into functional scenes while subconsciously supporting social settings. The transition from the inside to the outside is eased by using the directional shades at the deckheads, which light up in a subtle glow at night. Sander Sinot says: “ It is a poetic way to enlighten our lives with a mixture of elements we usually do not think about. ”

This 425′ Superyacht Boasts Just About Every Luxury Amenity One Could Possibly Ask For

While it’s easy to look at an enormous, over-the-top superyacht concept render and assume it will never actually be built, the reality is that the world’s wealthiest yachting enthusiasts have been spending ever-growing sums on completing insanely ambitious super and gigayachts — some of which cost billions of dollars to bring to fruition. Recognizing the very real possibility that these highly-involved and insanely-exorbitant ships can actually be brought to life, dozens of design houses have been whipping up highly detiled superyacht concepts — one of the latest of which to get the greenlight for production is Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design with its Poetry Superyacht.

Appropriately referred to by its designer, Sander J. Sinot as allowing for “yachting without compromise,” the Poetry spans a total of 425.2’ and boasts a 62’ beam. Powering the vessel is a hybrid hydroelectric and PEM fuel cell powertrain that affords it a cruising speed of 12 knots, a maximum velocity of 17.5 knots, and a range of 4,500 nautical miles. Sporting a sleek outward appearance with a modern icebreaker-style hull, the ship features a fully open substructure that supports a beach club and three completely unobstructed decks spanning four of the ship’s five levels. 

 Inside the Poetry’s five levels is a master suite that opens up directly onto the vessel’s rear deck, a square infinity pool flowing into a waterfall on the lower aft deck, several enormous dining rooms, lounges, living rooms, and a massive multi-level foyer with a spiral staircase jutting out from above an indoor pond. Alongside the master suite — or “owner’s room” — the Poetry also features 2 VIP staterooms with walk-in closets and private baths, plus another four guest rooms which collectively provide enough accommodation for 14 guests — plus 47 crew members. Onboard amenities include a luxury gym, a full spa and beauty salon, a sauna, a home theatre, and an indoor pool. The Poetry also houses a myriad of “water toys” as well as five high-performance jet skis and a pair of 40’ limo tenders.

Poetry, a superyacht combining openness and transparency

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design has unveiled a new 130-meter superyacht concept called Poetry. Ready to build, the yacht revisits the codes with a repositioning of the wheelhouse, large openings and transparency.

A repositioned wheelhouse and an upper deck dedicated to the owner

Poetry, at 129.6 meters in length, puts the owner at the heart of its design, taking into account his or her lifestyle and desires, much like a home. Her superstructure is characterized by transparency and openings for unobstructed views and unobstructed deck space forward, aft and to starboard and port. The wheelhouse has been moved to the front of the main deck at the bow, whereas it is usually located higher up in the upper decks. Thus, the highest deck is dedicated to the most important user, the owner. The owner's deck is isolated from the rest of the yacht for privacy and is entirely reserved for him and his family. No crew or guests need pass through here unless invited.

Water connection and overflow pool

Movable blinds filter and direct daylight inward, while at sunset indirect lighting takes over. Connection to the water is provided by floor-to-ceiling windows and six huge fold-down hatches on the lower deck's Beach Club. The roof caps house blinds to shade the decks. The large main deck is extended by an aft deck, with an infinity pool and extendable swim platform, the ends of which provide access to the water and serve as a mooring platform for tenders.

Living areas for guests

With 4 guest cabins, 2 VIP cabins and 1 owner's cabin, Poetry has a capacity of 14 guests. 47 crew members can also be accommodated on board.

The highest deck is reserved for the owner. The lower deck houses a private dining room with an open kitchen, a large multimedia theater and an exploration room.

The main deck houses the VIP suites and guest cabins, which enjoy sea views as well as private loggias, and forward, a state-of-the-art wheelhouse designed as a cockpit with front and side views. Towards the rear, a large dining room half outside can be extended to a relaxation area, connected to the aft deck with a swimming pool. On the lower deck, there is a wellness center with sea access located next to the Beach Club. A circular staircase on a large, fully glazed esplanade connects the main deck to the Beach Club.

Poetry introduces a new wellness area on the lower deck, with sea access next to the Beach Club. It features a steam room, sauna, gym and beauty salon with hairdresser, nail salon, beauty treatments and massages.

The Beach Club is a versatile space for getting together after a visit to the wellness center or for spending evenings at anchor . The beachfront bar is adjacent to the swim platform and there are plenty of comfortable sitting areas, sunbeds and large sofas to relax on.

The 424-footer, which will be fully unveiled at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show this week, represents a new thematic approach to superyacht design that the Dutch firm says is focused on the prospective owner’s dreams.

“We challenged ourselves to create a concept that fully accommodates the desires and lifestyle of the owner, without compromising the yacht design,” designer Sander Sinot said in a statement.

To that end, Poetry is less like a traditional superyacht and more an elegant, modern home. Sinot opted to move the wheelhouse from the highest deck to a more functional spot at the bow to create a private area for the owner. As a result, the owner’s suite spans the entire upper deck.

Elsewhere, Poetry sports four generous staterooms and two VIPs that can sleep up to 12 guests, along with 21 double crew cabins, four officer cabins and a captain’s cabin that can collectively accommodate 47 crew.

Other highlights of the interior include a large multimedia cinema to facilitate movie nights, an exploration room in which you can charter routes with the captain and a wellness area with a hammam, a sauna, a gym, a beauty salon and a massage area.

Poetry’s exterior is equally impressive. The main deck aft is fitted with a sizable alfresco dining area that flows seamlessly into a picturesque infinity pool. A few more steps down, you’ll find the beach club and a swim platform that offers direct access to the ocean. Another standout is Poetry’s sea pool, which is created by lowering one of the hatches under the sea level, extending a filtering bulwark and allowing the fresh, saltwater to flood the space.

Suffice it to say, Poetry offers a good amount of grunt, too. With a sleek hull and aerodynamic lines, the vessel can reportedly cruise for up to 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots and hit 17.5 knots at full tilt. She is, of course, equipped with a generous garage that can hold two limousine tenders, five wave runners and a range of other water toys.

It sounds like Poetry will be every owner’s dream.

Designer Sander Sinot's latest concept is the Poetry, a massive 424-foot superyacht that blurs the lines between ship and sea. The Poetry's upright, clean lines recall an elegant, modernist bungalow as much as a ship. With the wheelhouse placed at the bow, the owner's suite occupies the entire upper deck, with four staterooms and two VIP rooms below accommodating up to 12 guests. The World's First Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht Has a $644 Million Price Tag

Superyachts seemed to be among the last modes of (luxe) transportation to bend toward the growing consumer demand for eco-friendly engine designs. But if news from last week’s Monaco Yacht Show served as a bellwether, the industry meant to cater to the wealthiest among us made a progressive splash with the unveiling of Aqua, the world's first hydrogen-powered superyacht.

Designed by the Dutch firm Sinot Yacht & Architecture Design, Aqua is a nearly 400-foot-long vessel that's run entirely by a renewable energy source. "Water is the eternal fuel of life, the life-sustaining force that makes planet Earth habitable," says Sander Sinot, founder of the firm that bears his name. "Water is soft, yet at the same time it cuts through hard rocks." It was this appreciation of water that helped the firm find balance between the natural world and the technological. The propulsion system is made up of two 28-ton vacuumed tanks that each contain liquified hydrogen which are stored at -423 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with being eco-friendly, hydrogen-based energy means for a quieter experience aboard the ship in comparison to traditional engines. That said, there will be backup diesel generators handy should the captain ever need them.

There was much confusion on Monday if there was already a buyer who had paid the hefty $644 million price tag. Reports spread throughout the internet that billionaire Bill Gates had purchased the superyacht, rumors that proved to be false. Yet readers couldn't be blamed for believing such reports, as images show Aqua to include its own infinity pool, helipad, spa, and gym—amenities meant to attract billionaires such as Gates.

Sinot and his team designed the vessel to safely bring passengers as close to the water as possible. "Water is relaxation; it makes us calmer and more creative," Sinot comments. "We wanted to provide those on board with the closest possible proximity to the water. The aft deck features an innovative series of platforms cascading down towards the sea, while a large swim platform allows all passengers to enjoy the optimal experience of accessing the water at sea level."

One of the bedrooms inside of Aqua shows a minimalist aesthetic. 

Aqua can reach speeds of up to 19.5 mph and features enough room for 14 guests and 31 crew members. The firm plans to complete the vessel by 2024.
