Deux nouveaux yachts d'un oligarque russe gelés dans le sud de la France

Deux nouveaux yachts appartenant à l'oligarque russe Alexeï Kouzmitchev, parmi les plus influents en Russie, ont été gelés sur la Côte d'Azur dans le cadre des sanctions prises par l'Union européenne après l'invasion de l'Ukraine, a-t-on appris mercredi de source gouvernementale.

La France avait déjà immobilisé un méga-yacht, l'Amore Vero , propriété d'une société liée au patron du géant pétrolier russe Rosneft, Igor Setchine, le 3 mars.

Le 16 mars, un nouveau navire de plaisance a été gelé puis un second lundi. L'un des yachts est amarré au Vieux-Port de Cannes et l'autre se trouve dans un chantier naval à Antibes, a indiqué cette source, confirmant une information initiale du quotidien Libération .

Baptisé "La Petite Ourse", le bateau à Cannes mesure 17 mètres de long et sa valeur est estimée à 20 millions d'euros.

Avec ses 26 mètres de long, son "grand frère", "La Grande Ourse", à Antibes pour des travaux d'entretien, a lui une valeur de quelque 70 millions d'euros, selon la source gouvernementale.

Alexeï Kouzmitchev "est un grand actionnaire du conglomérat d'Alfa Group, qui comprend la banque Alfa Bank, l'un des plus grands contribuables de la Russie", selon l'Union européenne qui l'a classé sur la liste des personnes ciblées par des sanctions le 15 mars.

L'homme de 59 ans "est considéré comme l'une des personnes les plus influentes de Russie aux liens avec le président russe bien établis: la fille aînée de Vladimir Poutine, Maria, a animé un projet caritatif, Alfa-Endo, qui était financé par Alfa Bank", a souligné l'UE dans un document détaillant la liste des personnes sanctionnées.

"Il est également un homme d'affaires russe influent intervenant dans des secteurs économiques qui constituent une source substantielle de revenus pour le gouvernement de la Fédération de Russie, qui est responsable de l'annexion de la Crimée et de la déstabilisation de l'Ukraine", estime l'UE.

Plusieurs pays européens, comme l'Espagne, l'Italie et la France, mais aussi la Grand-Bretagne ont saisi des yachts appartenant aux Russes les plus fortunés dans le cadre des sanctions européennes. Mardi, le yacht de l'oligarque russe Dimitri Pumpianski a été saisi dans l'enclave britannique de Gibraltar.

L'immobilisation des biens revient à ce que leurs propriétaires ne puissent "plus en avoir l'usage, les revendre ou les monétiser", avait précisé dimanche le ministre français des Finances Bruno Le Maire. La Russie a envahi l'Ukraine le 24 février et bombarde plusieurs de ses villes depuis près d'un mois. Le conflit a poussé des millions d'Ukrainiens à quitter leur foyer.
