City is allowing it to be knocked down and made into a townhome community. Who would ever approve such a thing . Sad to see! Since it was the plan from when the new owner purchaed it , there hasnt been any upgrades in years.

We need a transient dock space on short notice. Gary and Zack were as accommodating as they could be. We didn't get to use the dining room but the poolside cafe/bar was terrific. They are going to be renovating and replacing a lot of the club facilities but still nice.

We joined it for a reason! The best for everything.. service.. food.. drinks and diane is a dream come true. If you need anything.. go see ms. Diane... she is the absolute best

I’m so excited to share this nautical themed wedding at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club!

As a wedding photographer in Fort Lauderdale, I knew Bridget + Eddie were going to be a fun couple to work with – their engagement photography at Plantation Heritage Park involved their three furry friends, lots of laughter, and a beautiful sunset.

Bridget + Eddie first met through a mutual friend’s birthday celebration – Eddie asked Bridget to dance. The rest is history…

During a family cruise in 2017 the couple were looking over their balcony into the waters near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was then that Eddie got down on one knee to ask that all-important question.

They wanted to have their wedding the following January – one year after they got engaged. As they love to travel and favor all things water-related, they chose Lighthouse Point Yacht Club as the venue for their nautical themed wedding. Starfish, shells and sand adorned their tables. Blue + yellow were also the dominant colors for their bridesmaids and groomsmen, wedding stationery, and florals. Like a summers day!

Despite the splattering of rain on their wedding day, Bridget + Eddie’s wedding at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club was one of the most fun I have captured! And you know what they say if it rains on your wedding day…

Lighthouse Point Wedding Receptions

Beautiful wedding receptions by the hillsboro lighthouse.

This coastal little community is situated between some more identifiable areas, with Deerfield Beach to the north and Pompano Beach to the south.  Though it may be a smaller community, it is still quite nice. Due to the general size of the community, there aren’t too many options to consider if you are planning a Lighthouse Point Wedding reception. However, it is perfectly suited for intimate wedding celebrations.

Lighthouse Point is best known for the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, a landmark for the jetty and route to the Intracoastal. This little town does have limited beach and venue access, and the beach is only accessible through private residences . But, if you happen to be on the water, it is amazing. If you are able to jump just a bit to the north to Deerfield or to the south to Pompano, then there is plenty of water access.

Wedding Reception Venues in Lighthouse Point

The two best locations for weddings and receptions in Lighthouse Point are the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club and the Hillsboro Club.  The best option located in Lighthouse Point is the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club . Situated on the Intracoastal in the heart. The Yacht Club’s facilities are great, with amazing views of the water and the wonderful boats in the marina and floating the water.  Perfect for large or medium-sized gatherings, a Lighthouse Point Yacht Club Wedding Reception has everything you could want.  

The next best option in Lighthouse Point is not necessarily available for most people.  Unfortunately, for most of us, the Hillsboro Club is a private club and is only accessible to members and guests.  If you are fortunate to have access to the club, you are fortunate.  It is an amazing venue for oceanfront and indoor wedding ceremonies and receptions.  Its old-world yet exquisite charm is quite memorable and is an amazing setting for a Lighthouse Point Reception.

Since Lighthouse Point is situated between Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach, it is close enough to both areas that you can access those venues with relative ease, as it would not be that far at all to get to either location to the north or south.  Click the links for more information about venues in these areas:

Lighthouse Point Yacht Club is committed to hosting social events and programs that appeal to the ages, and maintains member-run committees that meet regularly to share ideas with Club management. Here’s a sampling of our special events and programs:

• We celebrate most holidays, religious and nonreligious
• Other regular Club events include our monthly Full Moon Party; DJ entertainment & live music, up to three-times weekly; wine tastings, farm-to-table dinners on our face dock, and other carefully planned and orchestrated themed events
• We have a vibrant (Family) Cruising Group, with monthly cruises planned, complete with planned dinners and activities down the line
• Fishing Tournaments
• Tennis Tournaments, both inter and intra-Club; private tennis lessons; cardio tennis; group live ball; and nighttime tennis on our lit courts

This membership was created this season based on the demand of the “snowbirds”, who fly south in the winter months, with some who cannot legally reside in the United States more than six months a year, and others who have a second vacation home here and do not require a year-round membership. The criteria for our Seasonal Membership are the following: Seasonal Members and their family will have full access to all Club amenities and activities from November through April only. Seasonal Members’ primary residence must be outside the state of Florida. Seasonal Members will be responsible for the one-time Initiation Fee, Monthly Dues, and a Monthly Service Charge. There is no food & beverage minimum requirement for Seasonal Membership, due to the monthly service charge. Inquire within to learn more!
