Arcona 50 : Der neue Hingucker aus Skandinavien vor der Kamera

Die Voraussetzungen für einen erfolgreichen Marktauftritt könnten kaum besser sein: Immerhin hat die Arcona 50 gleich aus dem Stand den Vorschlag zur Wahl als Europas Yacht des Jahres 2024 geschafft und ist zudem als Weltneuheit für die Messe boot in Düsseldorf im Januar 2024 angekündigt, wo sie ohne Zweifel als eine der spannendsten Premieren viel Beachtung finden wird.

Die YACHT-Testredaktion war für einen Probeschlag an Bord der nordischen Schönheit. Die ersten Fotos sind oben in der Galerie abgebildet. Und: Der umfangreiche Testbericht erscheint schon demnächst, in der YACHT Ausgabe 2/2024. Dieses Heft wird dann ab Neujahr zum Lesen am Kiosk erhältlich sein, noch vor der Premiere in Düsseldorf.

Schon der erste Blick auf die neue Arcona 50 verrät die typische Handschrift von Konstrukteur Niels Jeppesen, die noch von den jüngsten Modellen von X-Yachts in bester Erinnerung ist. Nur ein erstes, kurzes Hinsehen reicht aber nicht aus, um die wesentlichen Unterschiede der neuen Arcona 50 zum Beispiel zur ähnlich großen X 4.9 erkennen zu können. Vielmehr liegen die Differenzen im Detail.

Form und Funktion in perfekter Harmonie

Augenfälliges Unterscheidungsmerkmal sind die zwei Ruderblätter. Bei seinen Arbeiten für X-Yachts hat Niels Jeppesen von doppelten Steuerflossen stets Abstand genommen. Bei der Arcona 50 mit ihrem noch breiteren Heck, dem flachen Spant und der stark eingezogenen Wasserlinie sollen sie vor allem auf langen Schlägen Vorteile bieten, mit einer besseren Kontrolle und einem direkteren Ansprechverhalten. Die beiden Ruderwellen sind relativ weit vorn eingebaut, sodass in der geräumigen Heckgarage ein Schlauch-Dingi mit Motor quer gelagert werden kann. Die Arcona 50 wird im Standard ab Werft mit einem hohen, leistungsstarken Aluminium-Rigg mit drei Salingen und Rodwanten ausgerüstet. Ein Kohlefasermast und/oder ein Rollbaum werden dazu als Option erhältlich sein. Auch hat der Käufer die Wahl, ob er sein Boot mit einer kurz überlappenden Genua oder einer Selbstwendefock segeln möchte.

Für den Innenausbau bleibt es bei der für diese Bootsgröße konventionellen Aufteilung mit drei Doppelkabinen und zwei Nasszellen, jeweils mit einem separierten Duschabteil. Varianten sind für die Kabinen achtern möglich, die wahlweise mit Doppelbett oder mit zwei getrennten Einzelkojen ausgebaut werden können. Dazu gibt es Varianten für die Pantry als geschlossene Funktionseinheit in U-Form oder in einer offenen Anlage mit einem Inselmodul mittschiffs. Standard ab Werft ist der Innenausbau aus Khaya-Mahagoni, als Variante sind die Möbel auch aus heller Eiche möglich.

Ein stattliches Schiff für einen ebensolchen Preis: Arcona Yacht nennt für sein neues Flaggschiff einen Grundpreis von rund 1,04 Millionen Euro, brutto, inkl. 19 % Mehrwertsteuer. Die Segel sind in der Basisausstattung allerdings noch nicht enthalten, was für Performance-Cruiser dieser Ausrichtung durchaus üblich ist.

The DNA for Arcona Yachts is really the concept of a hybrid cruiser-racer. When you draw a pure race yacht, you don’t have to think about comfort on board and speed is your single focus. Drawing a cruiser is not too challenging either when your single focus is comfort and sailing performance is not important. However, to successfully design a yacht that performs well in racing, as well as being comfortable and safe to cruise for the family, that is a real trick. A very important key stone is that the yacht is light weight. The lighter yacht you have, the faster she sails and the better features she will have.

Vollständig aus Carbon gebaut, ist die Arcona 465 ein Meisterwerk. Entwickelt für Segler, die sowohl gemütliche Segeltörns als auch Rennen genießen möchten. Sie hat ein handgefertigtes Holzinterieur mit allem Komfort eines Cruisers, aber dennoch Geschwindigkeiten von über 24 Knoten geloggt. Die Arcona 465 ist ein wahrer Performance-Cruiser, eine Weltklasseyacht.

Wie alle Boote der Arcona Modelle, spiegelt die 465 die Qualität wider, die von den schwedischen Bootsbauern erwartet wird, wobei die besten Materialien, Techniken und handverlesene Lieferanten ausgewählt werden; Infusionstechnologie für Rumpf und Deck, an den Rumpf laminierte Schotten für größtmögliche Festigkeit.

Es ist nicht leicht, die Gefühle und Eindrücke nach einem Tag am Steuer der Arcona 465 Carbon in Worte zu fassen.

Das Boot ist wendig und reagiert direkt auf die Ruderbewegungen, beschleunigt schnell bei leichtem Wind, ist aber dennoch steif und krängt in Böen nur mäßig – ein Gefühl, das man eher mit kleineren Booten verbindet.

Die Geschwindigkeit ist beeindruckend, aber Sie entwickeln schnell ein Selbstvertrauen im Umgang mit der Kraft eines Bootes dieser Größe. Nach ein paar Stunden Segelvergnügens fühlt es sich ganz natürlich an, in einen engen Hafen einzulaufen und sanft am Dock zu landen. Die Arcona 465 Carbon ist einfach zu steuern – selbst mit nur zwei Besatzungsmitgliedern.
