At 162.5 metres, Eclipse is the second largest superyacht in the world and was dethroned from the top spot three years after its launch by megayacht Azzam.

Step on board the 162.5m Eclipse - the second largest superyacht in the world

Designer Terry Disdale talks us through the four and a half years, nine decks and 162.5 metres of the world’s second largest superyacht.

Terry Disdale didn’t set out to design the biggest superyacht in the world. “No one ever said to me, ‘I want a 160 metre boat’,” he says over breakfast near his office in Richmond, London. “When the yacht was still on the drawing board, there was a rumour going round that someone was building an even bigger boat, and the owner was asked if he knew about it. He said he didn’t, and that he didn’t care. Breaking records was the farthest thing from his mind.”

What he did care about was helicopters – he wanted to carry more than one; and the pool – it had to be big. There were also some early discussions about low bulwarks and big windows, and that was the totality of the brief for what would become Eclipse . “To be given free rein is actually a dreadful thing,” says Disdale.  “I asked myself what I wanted: something timeless. How do you design something timeless that’s still going to look good and not be anaemic? It’s so easy to get carried away, but you’ve got to be able to look at it in 20 years and decide it still looks OK.” But that’s the trick, isn’t it? And the measure of a designer.

  • The 25 largest yachts in the world

At least Disdale had some hooks on which to hang the design. “Part of what creates the yacht looking like that is you’ve got to land this huge helicopter on the front, so the superstructure is pushed back. The formation of the boat is built around helicopter usage. And we didn’t want the boat to look unbalanced when the helicopter is on the foredeck. Some boats have a foredeck that looks wrong whenever a helicopter sits there.”

The lines of the boat were dictated by another prerequisite: the two significant lifeboats demanded by Solas. The sheerline runs straight aft from the bow and steps up amidships, the high freeboard created giving visual support to the lifeboats. “If you’d had a different sheerline, the lifeboats wouldn’t have looked comfortable,” the designer says. This, plus the addition of a 15 metre pool aft on the main deck, meant that the overall length of Eclipse – 162.5 metres – was defined not by ego but by practicality.

“Everyone thinks that a boat starts with a sketch, some glamorous visual of the outside of the boat. But that’s not how things work in my office – we start with a plan, a general arrangement.” The project, from this first design stage to the boat’s launch at Blohm+Voss ’s Hamburg yard in 2009, took four and a half years – a remarkable achievement given the scale of the yacht, which was only overtaken as the world’s biggest in 2013 with the launch of 180 metre Azzam .

Up to 20 engineers from Blue Ocean Yacht Management were present on site throughout the build, whipping it along to meet the aggressive delivery schedule. Disdale doesn’t recall any sleepless nights – “at least, no more than usual!” he laughs. The pressure of designing what was then the world’s top yacht – both inside and out – did obviously register, though. “It’s a huge responsibility building something of that magnitude, which is going to be under everyone’s magnifying glass. It’s not just ‘doing a job’, this thing is going to be scrutinised and analysed by everyone. There’s a responsibility to yourself as a designer.”

A decade from delivery, and more than 15 years from the moment Disdale first put pen to paper, he says he wouldn’t change a thing – and nor has the owner, who has kept Disdale’s designs largely unchanged. “For me, it’s more a clean piece of architecture than it is a piece of styling. The fact that you have a helipad on the front creates the superstructure to bow dimension, which is beautiful. If it wasn’t there, you wouldn’t have that length. And then when you get to the back of the boat, the swimming pool is dictating another piece of the story. I don’t know what I would change now. I don’t sit around saying, ‘I wish I did this or that’. Maybe I’d make the rear end look a bit more inviting, the way the staircases lead into the boat, but anti-piracy was a concern, plus there are a load of services and facilities back there. There’s a full-size pantry to serve the beach club, which very few boats have, and gull-wing doors with a pullout barbecue and pizza oven. There’s a lot you don’t see.”

Disdale’s long experience in the business means he is able to resist the temptation to force designs, or slavishly follow trends that flare and fade, leaving boats looking old before their time. “ Eclipse is a handsome boat, and it looks like a boat. It doesn’t make any pretence,” he says. “The key word is elegance. Very few boats can make that claim any more. Modern boats are purposeful, aggressive, macho, which has led to them all having snub noses. They look angry. You could paint them grey and stick a cannon on the front and it wouldn’t upset their stance at all. Eclipse is not like that.” It’s a familiar sermon from Disdale, who famously posts his 10 “design commandments” up round his office. “One of  the most important tools in your box is restraint. I can have complete freedom when designing a superstructure, but restraint is actually the most important thing – knowing when to stop gilding the lily. Don’t gild it! Use silver leaf.”

  • Inside the Surrey home of legendary superyacht designer Terence Disdale

The obvious benefit of a single designer being responsible for the interior and exterior of a yacht is a seamless flow between the two, and that is absolutely true of Eclipse , whose interior conforms to another one of Disdale’s mantras: “ beach house not penthouse ”. “If you’ve got a dining room with satin on the chairs and gold braid around them, but you live in a T-shirt and shorts, then you’re not comfortable,” he says.

The pool is a vast entertaining space, with 3.2 metre overheads and a retracting glass sunroof. “The ambience of the pool is as important as how it looks. You’ve got to want to sit by it.” Or dance on it: the blue granite bottom of the pool rises up to sit flush with the deck. It can also be lowered a touch to create a paddling pool.

The interior of any boat should be about “pure relaxation”, says Disdale. “People are on vacation, people are chilled.” He relates one story of an Arab client in the 1980s, who he dissuaded from fitting gold taps to his superyacht. “I told him he already had a 65 metre on the quay – he had already made his statement. It was a process of trying to quieten his ostentation.” You get the feeling no such effort was needed with the owner of Eclipse . “He had already owned three yachts to our design, so consequently was very familiar with my way of working and the habitat I create.” It’s impossible to miss the very deliberate warmth of that habitat and a design miracle that, despite using broadly the same colour palette throughout, nowhere do you tire of the ochre-like shades.

This uniformity wasn’t applied to the lobbies between decks: different artists were tasked with creating unique works to give each lobby a flavour, so there is no confusion about what deck you’re on – a problem when you have nine. One of these pieces is a wooden sculpture made up of seven pieces, the design for which was hand drawn by Disdale and sent to Japan for manufacture. It’s a stunning work and symptomatic of the detail shown throughout – even in more mundane pieces, like the sideboards in the cabins that were designed in Europe and crafted in Chile.

With no clear-cut brief on the yacht’s layout, Disdale was forced to second-guess, “but that’s my job”, he says. “You have to work out how people will move around the boat.” The benefit of an LOA like Eclipse ’s is the owner can swallow serious acreage without impacting the guest experience. It’s not about avoiding guests, but being able to operate independently of them.

It would be easy to mistake the guest suites for the owner’s own quarters, such is their footprint. There are 18 guest cabins in total, served by 100 crew. From the moment the guests arrive by chopper, mainly on the top helideck, they’re absorbed in the comfort of the boat and have access to the main stairwell and elevator. It’s a transition of which Disdale is particularly proud. “It came from understanding how a boat is used. When you get out of the helicopter, you’re blown to pieces, and then where do you go?” The answer is an intimate lounge, where you can freshen up before entering the interior proper. It also gives pilots somewhere to conduct safety briefings, he points out. Eclipse is able to travel with multiple helicopters on board because one can be housed in the forward hangar, one above it on the retractable platform and another on the sundeck.

At the other extremity of the boat, the convenience continues with a huge bathing platform and staircases that fold down into the water for easy boarding – even for those wearing full dive gear. The beach club wasn’t maxed out, with a comfortable lounge along the centreline preferred to a big open area that is harder to secure. Beyond, though, the lower deck opens up into a huge 77 square metre gym and spa area, complete with massage room, beauty salon, sauna, shower areas and the yacht’s second plunge pool. Visual interest is added by banks of portholes with views into the swimming pool, which dapple light across this whole space. Choosing somewhere to relax on deck is slightly harder – where do you start? The options are endless but special mention has to be made of the wood-burning fire pit on the upper deck – perfect for nights on deck under the stars.

Disdale and his team were present in June 2009 when the boat appeared from the giant drydock in Hamburg. No butterflies – he claims to have been pretty zen about seeing her free of scaffolding and plastic. “Although you design every part of it and you see it being built, nothing prepares you for the feeling you get when you actually see it in the flesh. The tug pulled it out and there was the thickness of a mattress between the wing stations and the shed walls. Literally – they tied mattresses to the stations. When it appeared I was gobsmacked.” As was the owner, pleasingly for the man who’d dedicated nearly five years to the project.

“It’s like cars,” explains the car fanatic. “I was talking about Lamborghinis the other day. They used to have the Miura, a beautiful car. But they replaced it with the Countach, which looks like it was carved from cheese. One is ageless and one looks stuck in time. Elegance is the most important thing. The Miura is elegant, the Jaguar E-Type is elegant.” He’s too modest to say but Eclipse belongs in that league – beautiful for ever.

Amadea: Peek Inside This Amazing Superyacht

' src=

Amadea: When you think about what a superyacht should be, then a lot of luxury features will immediately spring to mind such as plush interiors, gleaming decks, rows of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass walls, as well as plenty of fun things included to keep us amused.

Nothing embodies the idea of a perfect mega-yacht more than the 106.5-metre Amadea mega-yacht, a veritable floating palace of a luxury vessel being the most detailed superyacht ever built!

The Amadea yacht was built from steel and aluminium in 2017 by German shipbuilders Lürssen, and is currently up for sale with Imperial the Monaco-based luxury yacht broker, and is looking for her next privileged owner.

However, the next lucky owner of this amazing yacht will grab themselves an absolute bargain because even though the Amadea is classed as ‘brand-used’, it has been refurbished to be in an even better condition than you would get when buying an off the peg new-build.

According to Imperial’s management team, the Amadea is a “true turn-key superyacht” because of the precise synchronisation between all parties that were responsible for creating such luxury.

So, what’s inside? Let’s take a peek inside one of the most desirable luxury yachts on the market today…

To infinity and beyond

Amadea Mega-Yacht

One of the first eye-catching features that guests will notice once they board the Amadea mega-yacht is the 10-metre mosaic-lined infinity pool that sits on the main deck created by exterior designer Espen Øino. Taking a cooling dip in this pool will really allow guests to connect with the splendour of the sea and the beautiful surroundings wherever the owner chooses to anchor the yacht.

The Amadea has a clamshell arrangement of three overlapping shell structures containing five decks that hold endless world-class features to entertain her honoured guests, including a cooling air-ventilation system to keep guests and crew cool and comfortable, a future-proof bridge and a very grand white marble central staircase fitted with red carpet that links up each deck on the yacht.

The decks contain many hidden and convertible features such as a deck with 20,000 Watts of built-in speakers, lights and lasers, and a spa pool that can be converted into a stage for live bands or DJ’s to play.

Even the cinema on the bridge deck can be retracted when not in use, but when in use you can really get into the zone with the film you are watching because the two main sofas have D-Box motion control, allowing you to tip and move around mimicking the motion seen on-screen. The cinema even has its own popcorn machine!

Designer interior layout

Every detail of the interior décor has been carefully chosen. From the custom-built furniture to the matching books and ornaments, interior designer Zuretti left nothing to chance and pulled out all the stops to over-deliver a high level combination of chic comfort and class.

Amadea Mega-Yacht

Zuretti was given a brief from the original owner asking for an authentic classic representation with the integration of classic furniture from the 18th century. You really get this feel as you walk through the yacht with alcohol, books and accessories being a key part of the interior design.

Øino and Zuretti collaborated extremely well to deliver external and interior designs that complement each other perfectly. Cosy and intimate nooks are not in short supply on board with plenty of recessed seating kitted out with cushions and sun loungers in warm, organic tones.

There are very eye-catching features to take in, such as the hand-painted Michelangelo clouds above the dining table, backlit bottles of whiskies, brandies and rums behind the bars, and the stainless steel, onyx panels and deck motifs.

All play and no work?

Despite the Amadea mega-yacht being unmistakably built for pleasure and leisure, the business needs of the guests have not been overlooked. The multi-functional bridge deck offers a private space for guests to conduct digital business meetings or to catch up with the news through the onboard cinema.

The main remit for the Amadea’s general arrangement was to deliver a luxury yacht with plenty of space, privacy and intimacy that meets with all purposes for both business and pleasure.

Amadea Mega-Yacht

Other unique features you can find aboard include a helipad, outdoor firepit, gym, beauty centre, four Sea Doo watercraft, a vast art deco-style albatross off the bow that was created by Netherlands artist Willem Lenssinck, a ‘guests galley’ on the top deck that offers guests the opportunity to cook their own food with a grill area, copper pots and pans, a live lobster tank, and use of a winter patio dining area.

There is even a storage area containing a teppanyaki grill, a rotisserie and a hog-roaster. The yacht also has a crane to lift the equipment overboard so you can moor up and take your party to the beach!

The naval architecture and exterior styling both come from Unique Yacht Design, while H2 Yacht Design created her appealing interiors. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure have a masculine appearance created by sharp lines and a more traditional colour scheme of dark and light grey, most often associated with military vessels. With the increase in on board space comes a tendency to create a broad and bulky hull, however by elongating the deck areas M/Y TATIANA keeps a sleek and stylish profile that maximises space utilisation, particularly when adding swimming pools to the decks.

Outdoor living is prized, allowing the Owner and guests to savour every moment cruising in such destinations as the Mediterranean charter grounds, taking in the beauty of the Turkish Riviera and the Dalmatian Coast before cruising on to the heart of the summer social scene along the French Riviera .

Superyacht TATIANA is designed with large dockside gatherings in mind: Guests will disembark onto the large swim platform and enter the magnificent beach club within. The tenders and water toys are instead stored in the bow section beneath a flush foredeck cover, ensuring that space can still be used for such functions as exercise and sunbathing.

Beach Club

The spectacular beach club by night

The main deck aft, meanwhile, hosts a desirable swimming pool of 8.5m/27.9ft in length and a depth of 1.4m/4.6ft – perfect for cooling off on hot summer days or exercising after dark when the water toys are safely stowed away. Although there are sunbeds running the length of both sides of the pool, the group might also like to rest and dry off on the sofa/sunbeds farther forward in the alfresco lounge area. Here, there is quick access to the bar where the talented crew can create a range of colourful cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to suit all ages and occasions.

The upper deck aft is the main alfresco dining area and offers an extensive dining table with a bar to port and aft-facing seating behind to enjoy an aperitif or a nightcap while watching the blazing sunset. Canvas shades are available to keep off the midday sun and light sea spray.

The Owner’s deck is divided into fore and aft sections that also have optional canvas shades. The aft section is dedicated to lounging and sunbathing, with a plush sunbed along the stern and close to the glass sliding doors to the interior a sofa on both sides with a coffee table in between. The forward deck area is fitted with a sofa/sunbed on both sides and a forward Jacuzzi that will be coveted place to unwind while having uninterrupted views of the stunning Ionian Islands white cliffs, the regattas at Porto Cervo in Sardinia and the amazing cities of the Cote d’Azur .

Large windows and private terraces connect the interior and exterior spaces: At night, the warm glow of the lighting across the decks makes her as much of a show-stopper as a welcome home on the water during an extensive cruise. It is this lighting which draws guests into the understated elegance of the contemporary interiors by H2 Yacht Design, and the beach club is likely to be one of the first spaces guests and visitors enter by. The light and spacious interior are achieved using Macassar veneer and light eucalyptus. The top-quality marble is back-lit to bring out its details, further complemented by carved stone and emphasised textures.

Beach Club interior

Beach Club interior

A swimming pool runs through the centre of the aft beach club section, further illuminated by glass panels in the swimming pool on the main deck above. Farther forward, the beach club opens up to reveal a bar, plush lounges with top-quality TV entertainment and audio systems, a hammam and a spa massage room. Fold-down terraces further extend the space for sunbathing and lounging while simultaneously opening the interior up to the sunshine and fresh sea air.

Elsewhere on board there is an ambient cinema that has dark textures walls and two rows of matching silvery sofas. A coffee table also presents the possibility of using this space as another quiet lounge for close conversation.

Gym

The fully-equipped gym has a running machine, rowing machine and a range of free weights amongst its workout choices, and a widescreen TV will provide entertainment and motivation in the calm, bright white surroundings.

The main deck salon uses pale cream tones, slate blue and silvery mirror surfaces to create an ambience associated with the open sky. This is reflected in the colour scheme and subject matter of the surrounding artwork, adding to the serenity when dining beneath the sensational custom chandelier, or planning for the day ahead on the sumptuous sofas or armchairs. A widescreen TV separates the dining and lounging areas, and it can be viewed from both sides so that the group never misses a moment of the latest news and sports.

Main Deck Saloon with elegant decor

The skylounge is a dream-like sports lounge with an eye-catching back-lit bar, a pool table, grand piano and armchairs scattered throughout two semi-circular sofas and coffee tables create a cosy place to relax and watch live-action or a film on the widescreen TV, with the mirrored ceiling and matching walls creating an intimate environment after sundown.

Upper Deck Skylounge

The guest accommodation is just as beautiful and pristine in colour choice and furnishings. There are 8 en-suite cabins spread across the decks to sleep up to 14 guests: 1 Master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and 4 further guest cabins comprised of doubles and twins.

Owner Deck- Master Suite

Owner Deck- Master Suite

The Master suite is placed on the Owner’s deck and has its own private office as well as a massive stately bedroom in white, grey, dark teal and gold. The king-sized bed takes centre stage, however, there is also a day bed for reading and unwinding beside the window, a massive widescreen TV integrated into the port and starboard walls, a seating area with table for casual meals and drinks, all with fantastic views out onto the aft terrace. The en-suite bathroom has everything the occupants could desire, with twin sinks, a bathtub and shower within the well-proportioned interior.

Main Deck VIP Guest Cabin

Main Deck VIP Guest Cabin

All three VIP staterooms are situated on the main deck and have queen-sized beds within each voluminous room. The windows are almost full-height, granting the occupants excellent views and natural lighting while maintaining privacy within. A widescreen TV is placed in the wall opposite the bed, and the storage is integrated seamlessly into the surroundings. The en-suite bathroom is finished in marble and has twin sinks and bathtub with shower.

Lower Deck Guest Twin Cabin

Lower Deck Guest Twin Cabin

The remaining guest cabins on the lower deck enjoy an abundance of space as well as cutting edge amenities and en-suite facilities, making these bedrooms just as much of a tranquil haven after a busy day.

The crew of 23 are accommodated on the lower deck, and their areas have received just as much attention to detail. There is a crew mess for meals and downtime, and the team of professional chefs have plenty of space in the cutting-edge galley to prepare stunning creations for everyday meals or to mark a special celebration.

The engineering is just as impressive with a pair of engines and a generator producing a top speed of 19 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and an extensive range of more than 6,000 nautical miles. The fuel capacity draws on 155,000 litres and has an economical fuel consumption of approximately 250 litres per hour.

Luxury yacht TATIANA is built to IMO Tier III certification and at the time of writing is the cleanest yacht in her class: The special exhaust system aboard M/Y TATIANA produces 100% clean air emissions that further enhances her eco-friendly credentials for a greener future for travel.

Bilgin Yachts is also currently building a 50m/164ft and 74m/242.8ft luxury yacht both due for launch in 2022, plus a new 85m/278.9ft superyacht due for launch in 2023 when she will become the new flagship for the yard.

Yacht Walkthrough: 150′ Richmond [Superyacht Highlight]

Yacht Walkthrough: 150′ Richmond [Superyacht Highlight]

May 18, 2020 4:13 pm

Denison superyacht broker will noftsinger gives a personal tour of revive, a 150′ richmond 2013 motor yacht, now available for sale or charter vacation..

Adventure – exploring new places, the private time we spend with friends and family on many occasions we desire to do so while wrapped in luxury with everyone experiencing the pampering they deserve. With not just world-class service but the best the globe has to offer. We seek a sanctuary and a setting to recharge and in a place that feels safe to unwind, for a time to Revive.

I’m Will Noftsinger with Denison Yachting. And today, we’re here in my office in Miami . We began our journey recently south through the Windward Islands to the island of Martinique, to introduce you properly, to Motor Yacht REVIVE .

This 150 was delivered new in 2013 for the owner of Richmond Yachts himself. Revive represents hull number seven from the famed Canadian builder in his Richmond’s final build. They took all the best features the previous six builds had to offer and combine them into what’s possibly the perfect, classically styled 150 foot motor yacht.

The forward facing seating area for guests in the bow. An air-conditioned engine room and bilges, a helicopter capable sundeck which by the way resulted in possibly the most spacious aft deck I’ve come across in a classic style yacht. Out the gate of this walkthrough, let’s take a moment to note that comfort was paramount and that the details were clearly important during the build and attention was given to them whenever possible.

150 richmond revive superyacht

Being that this is the queen of this builder’s fleet, nothing was overlooked. For a keen buyer who appreciates intricacies, it’s going to be noticed. So with that let’s get started with our walkthrough up here high in the clouds of the skybridge. This level all the way up here closest to the sun typically sees the most action. Behind me, is a primary feature – the yacht’s 10-person Jacuzzi. Surrounded as it should be by plush cushion loungers to revitalize while absorbing the sun-drenched vitamins you’re getting from above. As we work Afton this deck, from the cocktail table loungers we see a teak top full service bar. The suite intoxicants won’t be found in just beverage form. This sun palace is going to whisk you away with surreal sunsets and backdrops for the most pristine beaches and scenery in the world.

Working further aft brings us to freestanding loungers and way way more importantly, all the toy storage you’re ever going to need. Up here we see two Yamaha VX series WaveRunner, a tender and more. All can be dropped for your enjoyment buy a 2500 pound steel head marine deck. It was mentioned before and it is important to note again that this deck is capable of receiving a helicopter and acting as your yachts helipad. Once emptied of all the toys, this area also makes for a pretty killer driving range.

150 richmond revive superyacht

A flight of teak stairs takes us to our next stop. This is where a majority of your world-class meals will take place. A gorgeous centerline teak table beckons you. Aft of here is an outdoor lounging area with free-standing furniture. Found at this level centerpiece are going to be sunset riddle dinners with nights the libations will have a hard time drowning out.

Forward into starboard is a teak serving area with wet bar and stainless steel refrigerator. On the wall above a 50-inch SunBriteTV. All the way port our stairs taking us to the lower aft deck. We’ll check out that area later.

For now, let’s head through the floor-to-ceiling automatic glass doors and check out the skylounge. This is likely will you’ll find yourself the most often relaxing while watching movies or playing on the Xbox on the biggest TV possible – a 90-inch Sharp television.

To starboard is the primary bar of the entire vessel. Affixed with a beautiful Onyx countertop and properly appointed for all your yacht’s events. Immediately to port is a gaming table with an L-shaped sofa just beyond. Across the room is the sofa making this a wonderful conversation pit to enjoy friends and family during the heat of the day.

mega yacht walkthrough

As we continue forward to port we reach a meeting room. This is a versatile area that can be used for many things including a kid’s playroom. Across from this, we have the levels dayhead. Across from the dayhead is a dedicated captain’s quarters. This quarter has been outfitted to potentially act as your sixth stateroom aboard and has been appointed accordingly.

Heading forward we reach the yacht’s pilothouse. On display is an expansive array of electronics with eight 15-inch screens. There is more than enough here to navigate the globe and it’s entirely too much for us to cover in full. So please contact me any time to gather a full list and a complete rundown.

Head with me towards the bow. As our feet transition back to teak, I’ll highlight two key design features making this Richmond standout from the rest. Aft raking pilothouse windows deliver a more pleasing profile appearance. And then all important must have modern entertaining and observation area. This little game changer gives you the most intimate of settings for those once-in-a-lifetime sunsets you’ll be catching all the time.

mega yacht walkthrough

Talk about being revived. This is a private retreat where you can be one with the stars or perhaps the one sitting next to you. I’ve personally anchored out on this yacht, I’ve seen her capabilities and I’ve experienced her on the hook. In order to see some of the best and most isolated locations on earth, you’re going to be using both mirrored cap stands to handle the stainless steel anchors that make it all possible. From here we’re going to take the teak laden path to starboard that brings us all the way aft. These decks provide ample width to safely walk and our gunnel Heights give a feeling of security in rough seas.

Our next stop is the aft deck. This face is ideal for both greeting your guests and entertaining. The aft deck is expansive and one of the best in class. It was designed to be large with the idea of entertaining in mind and will accommodate loads of guests with no lines at the bar. This wide open space features bar stools and a drop-down TV. From here we can head aft down a teak laden staircase to access her swim platform – a space ideal for dropping your floating dock systems in the water and preparing all your toys. In Revive, she can carry a lot of toys. SEABOB, jet skis, [8:04] inflatable and much more. And let’s not forget about the 39 venture [8:09]. That’s the go-to fishing machine onboard for the owner. And fishing, well that’s a lifestyle here onboard motor yacht Revive.

mega yacht walkthrough

Heading back up and indoors let’s check out the formal salon. This Patrick Knowles interior is simply gorgeous. It was completed in 2019 and cost nearly a million dollars. Appointed exquisitely, the furniture, the décor, this space is so well dressed, you have to see it to truly appreciated. There’s even a self-playing Yamaha piano in the corner. Heading forward past the concealed pop-up TV, brings us to the yacht’s formal indoor dining area. It’s capable of seating as many as 12 guests and has more than ample space for servers to feel comfortable dishing out the finest meals of your life. An automatic door is conveniently located between the dining room and the galley. The next stop on the day’s tour will be just that. A quick run-through on the commercial galley. The galley of Revive, like all yachts this size, is a legitimate full-blown commercial kitchen just as it should be. But this one, it was designed by a man who owns more than a few high-end restaurants. And here you’re certain to find more than just a self-titled chef on-hand. This area was outfitted with true stainless steel door refrigerators and freezers. Décor cooktop, ovens and microwave. There’s also a commercial grade ice machine, GE trash compactor and so much more.

Forward of this are the crew quarters and we’re going to touch base on this a little bit later in today’s walkthrough. Instead, let’s head back through the formal dining room to port into the main foyer. Here our stairs back to the upper salon or down to the forward guest room accommodations. For now, we’ll continue through the foyer passed the ship’s wine cellar and towards the master’s table. As we do so located to starboard is our on deck dayhead.

Heading further to where the marble flooring ends, we reach two double doors – the main entrance to our master stateroom. This incredible stateroom is ideally situated in a space that maximizes both volume and privacy. Stepping beyond brings us to a well-designed and elegant yet warm stateroom. Transitioning the carpet beneath our feet, we look forward and are greeted by beautiful woodwork in a private lounging area. This consists of a built-in entertainment system with Samsung 46 inch screen TV. Below are two sub-zero refrigerators for your beverage of choice for you to enjoy while relaxing in peace. Continuing Ford brings us to a king size bed located centerline of the room with dressers to starboard and make a vanity to port and a full entertainment system concealed by cabinetry complete with a 60 inch HDTV.

mega yacht walkthrough

To the portside you will find a large walk-in cedar-lined closet with plenty of storage and drawers. The room is flooded with natural light from the oversized windows providing you with panoramic views of the ocean blue and seascapes and the outside world’s paradise.

Forward of the bed are his-and-her Onyx laced bathrooms complete with a shower, steamer and luxurious Jacuzzi tub. The custom Onyx marble vanity and flooring are one-of-a-kind and show a level of sophistication and elegance that is simply immeasurable. From here, let’s head back to the main foyer and take the stairs down to the guest level accommodations.

Descending the main foyer stairwell to the lower deck shields access to the forward guest staterooms. Three of these staterooms feature true queen-size beds. Every stateroom is a Four Seasons caliber having built-in entertainment systems with HDTVs, controls for movies on demand and beautifully appointed ensuite baths with exotic marble and stunning granite countertops. And the fourth guest room is outfitted with a twin side-by-side configuration.

mega yacht walkthrough

Let’s head down to the engine room for our final stops on today’s walkthrough. Down here brings us first to the engineer’s control room. This space has been designated for the ship’s engineer to monitor all the ship’s vitals. Here he can see the tank levels, check bilges and watch for any and all alarms amongst much more. From here let’s head forward through a watertight bulkhead into the engine room. Today’s final stop we will end with some technical information.

Motor yacht Revive finds her ideal cruising range at around 9 to 10 knots. Here it’s reported by the captain that we’re burning around 35 to 45 gallons per hour including generators. At this speed, we can travel roughly 2600 miles. It is important to note the dropping speed slightly will achieve a maximum range of 3000 nautical miles. At the request of the crew, we are unable to show the crew quarters on today’s walkthrough. We are after all on a full-blown charter.

mega yacht walkthrough

Thanks for joining us on today’s walkthrough with Denison Yachting. I’m Will Noftsinger and it’s been an absolute pleasure having you onboard. If you have any further questions about Motor Yacht Revive or you’re interested in chartering her, please feel free to contact me anytime and you can always find me online at Yacht Slinger.
