Acclaimed cover band Yacht Rock Revue will be embarking on a mammoth 21-date tour across America taking place in 2023. Their Reverse Sunset Tour kicks off May 12th in Birmingham and stretches into September making additional stops in Orlando, Philadelphia, New York, Denver, San Diego and Phoenix. The new outing follows up 2021's Hot Dads in Tight Jeans Tour which continued into 2022.

Yacht Rock Revue will continue performing their own renditions of soft rock hits of the 70’s and 80's from acts like Hall & Oates , Michael McDonald and Steely Dan . Since forming in 2007, they've shared the stage with John Oates , Eddie Money , Little River Band , Pablo Cruise , Starship , Denny Laine , Robbie Dupree , Elliot Lurie , Peter Beckett and Bill Champlin among many others. Yacht Rock Revue is an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 2007. The band was formed by members of the now defunct indie rock band Y-O-U after an ironic performance of soft rock hits at a local club gig took off into a weekly residence. Performing primarily covers, the band's set list is centered around a genre called "yacht rock", coined by the early 2000s web series of the same name, consisting primarily of soft rock from the 1970s and 1980s, but at times including songs as recent as the early 1990s. Although the Yacht Rock Revue started as a side project, it is now the main focus for all seven band members: Peter Olson, Nicholas Niespodziani, Mark Cobb, Greg Lee, Mark Bencuya, Mark Dannells, and David Freeman. The band has a contract with Live Nation and tours nationally, playing more than 100 shows a year and selling out theaters in Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, and Washington DC. In order to keep up with demand, a subsidiary band was launched in 2009 called Yacht Rock Schooner. In 2015, two of the founding band members, Peter Olson and Nicholas Niespodziani, opened Venkman's, a restaurant and music venue in Atlanta's Old 4th Ward neighborhood. In 2018, Jawbone Press released The Yacht Rock Book: The Oral History of the Soft, Smooth Sounds of the 70s and 80s by author Greg Prato, which explored the entire history of the genre. The book featured an interview with Niespodziani, as well as Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, and John Oates, among others. In fall 2019, the band released their first original single, "Step". Further, they announced their first album of original material, Hot Dads in Tight Jeans. The album was released on February 21, 2020.

The diamond-selling bands will be hitting the road on the Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour , bringing together Train’s critically-acclaimed catalog of global hits with REO Speedwagon’s vast collection of timeless classics for an unforgettable night of music, high energy, and fun that transcends generations. With more than 50 million albums sold worldwide, 32 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100, and 28 albums on the Billboard 200 albums chart between them, fans nationwide will have a chance to witness epic sets from two of the hardest-working, fun-loving, non-stop touring bands as they perform hours of hits featuring chart-topping anthems and timeless fan favorites.

Produced by Live Nation, the 44-city tour kicks off on July 8 in Somerset, WI at Somerset Amphitheater, making stops in Chicago, Toronto, New York, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more before wrapping up on September 11 in Phoenix, AZ at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. To celebrate the highly anticipated Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour , Train and REO Speedwagon will take the stage at LA’s famed Whisky a Go Go nightclub on the Sunset Strip this Thursday, February 1 for an intimate sneak preview concert that is not to be missed. Tickets for the show go on sale today at 12pm PT here . Additionally, the bands will be stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday, January 31 for a very special collaboration, which marks their first-ever performance together on stage. Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on ABC at 11:35p/10:35c, and is available next day on Hulu.

Of the tour, Train frontman Pat Monahan shared: “When I was younger I heard a band called REO Speedwagon and fell in love with their numerous, infectious hit songs. Years later I met Kevin Cronin, and thank goodness he’s as great a person as he is a songwriter. This tour won’t just be a great time with great people, but a tour that will have a ton of familiar songs to most generations. I will be wishing I was in the audience as much as I’ll love being on the stage.”

REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin said: “Pat Monahan and I have done several benefit shows over the years, and now we get to take out our bands for a summer full of music and fun. Daytona Beach is going to be rocking this weekend.

The Welcome to Rockville music festival comes to town this weekend, bringing with it a slew of rock and heavy metal artists to the Florida coast. Headliners for the festival include artists such as Mötley Crue, Limp Bizkit, Foo Fighters and Slipknot, with other performers including the likes of Judas Priest, Falling in Reverse and Greta Van Fleet, among others.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal, part of the USA TODAY network, reports that a record 200,000 fans are expected to attend the festival throughout the weekend. The festival is scheduled to run May 9-12 at Daytona International Speedway.

This year's festival will also be the biggest one ever: 150 bands are expected to perform on five stages over the four days, the News-Journal reports.

Festival organizers posted the full lineup on social media on March 15. Mötley Crue is set to headline Thursday, Limp Bizkit will headline Friday, Foo Fighters will headline Saturday and Slipknot is scheduled to headline Sunday.

Festival organizers have posted the daily schedule on the festival's official Instagram page.

Thursday sees artists such as Judas Priest, Disturbed, Insane Clown Posse and Kerry King take the stage.

Friday's schedule features the likes of Jelly Roll, The Offspring, Mr. Bungle Falling in Reverse.

Queens of the Stone Age, Cypress Hill, Code Orange and Greta Van Fleet are scheduled to perform on Saturday.

The festival concludes Sunday with performances from artists such as Evanescence, Sum 41, Breaking Benjamin and Black Veil Brides.

Welcome to Rockville 2024 ticket information

Weekend general admission passes are on sale for $339.99 plus fees, according to the festival's website. Four-packs of the weekend general admission passes are sold out, as are weekend VIP passes.

Single-day general admission passes are available, with passes for Thursday available for $139.99 plus fees, and passes for Friday, Saturday and Sunday each available for $149.99 plus fees. Single-day VIP passes are also available.
