While the size of this space varies from model to model, what remains consistent is the space-maximizing ethos that prioritizes entertainment and socialization. A typical VanDutch features a large sunpad that meets the backrest of the transom sofa in the cockpit, joined by further seating to port and starboard to create a lively space for cocktails and conversation. But no two VanDutch boats are alike. Each model is made bespoke to the customer’s preferences, from the exterior gelcoat to the upholstery within.

Committed to the highest performance, VanDutch has partnered with Volvo to power its vessels with a range of robust, reliable engines; many of the boats enjoy the inimitable Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit system, which features Garmin navigation equipment. VanDutch 32

The VanDutch 32 is a graceful entry-level model that debuted in 2020. This striking model is modern and minimalist, with a classic spark detectable between its sharp, elegant lines. Designed by iconic naval stylish Frank Mulder, this 32-footer is a sleek, futuristic dayboat ideal for beginners and seasoned thrillseekers alike. An extended swim platform allows for quick boarding and offers extra space for seabathers and divers, while an aft-facing sunpad invites owners and guests to soak up the sun’s rays and connect with the elements. A plush cockpit lounge with a wet bar encourages guests to interact with the captain behind the smooth, protective windscreen and high-tech Garmin electronics. Released in 2020, the Van Dutch 48 is a 47-foot dayboat with a sharp monolithic profile and streamlined design. A hydraulic swim platform is perfect for divers and swimmers, while an aft sunpad connects seamlessly to the cockpit sofa, which sits on a teak-effect sole that evokes the golden age of boating. Cupholders populate the bespoke coffee table, inviting convivial evenings of cocktails thanks to a starboard wet bar with an optional icemaker. A twin sofa to port provides further seating for guests, who can observe the captain at work behind the Volvo Glass cockpit system and its 16-inch Garmin touchscreens and other sundry bells and whistles. A Fusion speaker system allows owners to provide a suitable soundtrack for any adventure.

Below deck, you’ll find a surprisingly spacious cabin with two contemporary configurations: a cinema room with an aft television and a forward V-shaped sofa, or a sleeping cabin where the sofa is replaced by a queen-sized bed and the cinema room is swapped for a twin cabin. Each option enjoys an open galley with high-spec appliances and skylights, as well as a spa-like day head with a sink, stylish mirrored cabinets, and a glass-enclosed shower with relaxed bench seating. The winner of Best Design at the 2013 Cannes World Yacht Trophies, the VanDutch 55 was one of the brand’s most popular models. At 55 feet, this boat occupies that Goldilocks zone between luxury superyacht tender and standalone long weekend cruiser. This Frank Mulder-designed beauty was produced until 2017, and features lush amenities such as a full-beam bathing platform, triple-width rear sunpad, and an Esthec lined cockpit with space for plenty of guests across two L-shaped sofas. Captains will delight at the flat dashboard, with its pair of Simrad touchscreens, throttles, electric steering wheel, and bow and stern thrusters.
