I enjoyed the trip, the dinner, the show and especially the narration. I just wish they wouldn't pack sooo many people on the boat. My only other complaint was that the drinks were ridiculously expensive. Otherwise had a good time.
Super fun boat cruise around the Ft Lauderdale waterways. My wife and I did this on a whim on a rainy day; wanting to do something different we couldn't do elsewhere. Our host (name escapes me; dang it) was brilliant. Kept the people engaged and interested in what we were seeing. Be prepared for gorgeous yachts and some of the grandest examples of excess that exist on the Fla Atlantic coast. Bathrooms that are apparently over 2000 sq feet (really?!?) in some of these homes. Cruise is smooth and had a bar on the boat - what's not to like?! Highly recommended if you're looking to do something quirky in the fr lauderdale area.
My family and I have been coming to JQR at least once a year for a long time, it's a tradition we hold near and dear! Only docking one star, because I'm hoping they'll improve some changes they've made recently under new management (Regarding food quality). The trip starts out at the Marina, where you board the boat, have your picture taken (available for purchase after for about $20-30). You can ask to have a couples photo and a group shot, just show up early. Once you've picked your seats, it's custom to head to the bar to grab a drink for your voyage. During the holidays they have seasonal fun cocktails to choose from, they also have souvenir cups and the rum drink is STRONG haha. As you make your way to the "island" for dinner, your host will give you a bit of Ft Lauderdale history, and point out prominent families/homes/back stories. The bulk of the guided tour is on the way TO dinner and the way back is quiet. It's a good idea to bring a little cash for tip for this person, especially when they go above and beyond. Once you arrive on the "island" you will have "all you can eat BBQ", followed by a show (singers, comedians, all family-friendly). You can also tour the island which has a variety of birds (parrots) and animals (monkeys) on it and good photo ops. The food USED TO BE amazing and truly you could eat as much as you wanted!!! My family and I were very disappointed in the quality and quantity this year under the new management. My mom is a practicing vegan and went off her diet just for these ribs and said to me after "that wasn't even close to being worth it like years past". The ribs used to be SO tender and fall-off-the-bone. Now they're tough, chewy, and just kinda "meh". You could get the same quality at Winn-Dixie (not great) and make them better at home. They were also VERY STINGEY with the ribs and meat in general....they barely came around with it, almost hoping people would fill up on the cheaper sides? We kept asking for more ribs, because my whole table only got 2-3 per person. It took them the entire meal to bring more out, legit the dining room was empty and people were sitting for the show by the same they brought us a FEW more....seriously so disappointing. As for the chicken that was BBQ chicken? They service fried chicken tenders now....also a huge letdown. I needed a wet nap and they are now branded "Cheney Bros" and the minute I saw that.....I knew they'd bought all of this lower quality meat from there and that explained the change. Will we go again and give them another shot under new management? Yes. But we told quite a few people in charge that night how unhappy we were with the changes to the food quality, so matched with this review I'm hoping they receive the feedback loud and clear. Love you JQR!
Really fun boat tour learning about the expensive houses on the intercostal! Plenty of seating. Bathrooms available on board. Small bar in bar avail too. You have to pay for parking just fyi.
Let me begin by expressing my pleasant surprise during my recent visit to this amazing boat tour. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts: Arrival and Atmosphere: Upon arriving at the designated meet-up area where the boat was docked, I found the exterior unassuming. However, stepping inside, I was delighted to discover a well-stocked bar and an exceptionally entertaining tour guide. While seating was open, I highly recommend arriving early to secure a window seat for a picturesque experience. Don't forget to bring shades, a hat, and dress comfortably, as you'll be treated to stunning views of beautiful homes belonging to prominent CEOs and celebrities. An added unexpected twist was the amusing sight of partygoers on nearby boats playfully mooning us, which added to the fun and laughter onboard. Destination: Our destination had a nostalgic island charm, perfect for families and mature audiences alike. As an avid Instagram user, I was thrilled to find numerous spots that were picture-perfect, catering to the desires of fellow IG enthusiasts. Food: The food served onboard was absolutely delicious, and I was pleased to note that they accommodated various dietary restrictions. Seating was thoughtfully arranged based on party size, ensuring a hassle-free dining experience. Upon arrival at our assigned seats, we were greeted with a table already set with bread, potato wedges, coleslaw, baked beans, and water. Our assigned server promptly went around offering the main course options: succulent ribs with mouthwatering barbecue sauce and tender chicken with flavorful barbecue seasoning. The ribs were a standout, perfectly seasoned without being overwhelming, while the chicken boasted delightful flavors, though not quite reaching the same level as the ribs. Entertainment: As we enjoyed our meal, live singing provided a pleasant backdrop. The volume was just right, allowing for enjoyable conversation without overpowering the ambiance. After about an hour, we were invited outside to a small stage with seating, where the main show took place. Here, you'll find a bar and an ice cream station to satisfy any cravings. I found the entertainment to be engaging and enjoyable, though some may describe it as cheesy. Personally, I appreciated the ventriloquist act the most, and the grand finale was a captivating Polynesian fire dance that left a lasting impression. Overall Experience: In conclusion, I believe this boat tour is a fantastic experience that everyone should try at least once, particularly for a memorable family day out. The tour starts at 5pm ends around 10ish. allowing ample time to soak in the sights, indulge in delicious food, and be entertained by a diverse range of performances. Whether you're captivated by the beautiful houses, seeking IG-worthy moments, or simply looking for a fun-filled day, this boat tour offers it all. Regenerate response

Gloria, thank for your great and thorough review. Hopefully we will see you again soon.
Great afternoon. cruise along the canals where the rich and famous have their houses. .
This was a really nice tour. You can arrive a few minutes before departure or arrive 45 minutes early like we did and enjoy a refreshing drink. We had choice of tables. The narration was clear and understandable. The drinks were expensive, but delicious. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the tour!
An amazing entertainment experience for family visiting from the northeast. We arrived at 5pm for a 6pm boat cruise. They will take a photo of your group before getting on the boat that you can purchase later in the night. There is a bar on the second floor (highly recommend finding a seat on this level) and bathrooms on the bottom floor to make the hour-long cruise to dinner comfortable. Drinks were pricey (about $15-20) but did the trick. The cruise runs through absolutely beautiful homes in Ft. Lauderdale with staff narrating the significance of different homes, which was actually really interesting and funny! The ribs served at dinner were perhaps the best ribs I've had in my life. Truly fall-off-the-bone. The chicken and sides (beans, dinner rolls, potato wedges, coleslaw) were also yummy. They were even able to accommodate a member of my family with a vegetarian meal as well. Although the post-dinner entertainment was definitely geared toward an older crowd, even the kids in our group were engaged and danced along.
Beautiful views
Perfect for large groups

Raelynn thanks for a great review. The drinks in that price range are all multi-shot specials. Single liquor well drinks, beer and wine are in the $6-$9 range. Glad everyone in your party enjoyed the whole night.
We just visited this location today, Saturday me and my wife we took a Uber to get there. That way we don't have to deal with parking. The ship was pretty much packed. The excursion is pretty cool and calm. ( i feel for them celebrities since they show us all their mansions and clearly non of them have any privacy ) we got to their little island to eat. We got to our table where we were seated. The food was ok, they served bbq ribs and chicken tenders. I recommend people to stay away from the alcohol since it's kinda pricey to pay $9.00 for a bud light. Before leaving the restaurant we noticed that almost no one tipped their server and that is not cool. If you come to this location bring some extra cash for your waiter and don't be a cheap client. We attended the show and the seats (benches) were super uncomfortable. We had to pull chairs from the bar and cary them to the show. The show was kinda cringy and we left after the first 10 minutes. We walked around to see the animals and walked to the boat to wait for everyone once show was done to be able to go back to terminal to go home. This is a cool experience to do it just once to do something different, but I personally will never do it again.

We LOVED the Jungle Queen! Omg what a treasure of a trip! My partner had a birthday, and we decided to spend the evening taking a trip down the New River on the Jungle Queen Riverboat. Tickets were easy to get online, and the recommendations they sent about where to park and what time to get there super helpful. Pro tip: Get there early for a good seat and bring a jacket or stadium seat/cushion because some of the chairs can be rickety. We left promptly at 6, and the host (Max) was super entertaining and showed us all the cool homes and gave us inside information about the architecture. We arrived at Tropical Isle after sundown and were warmly welcomed by the staff. The dinner was good, although it felt a little rushed. I wish dessert was included with dinner. The entertainment show after was funny and I loved the dances. We walked around the island to watch the caged birds and alligator. The whole trip was a fun way to celebrate a birthday, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventurous, unique experience in Fort Lauderdale.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

Dressing Up for River & Post: A Fashionable Guide for Women and Men

River & Post is the perfect spot for a posh and sophisticated night out with your nearest and dearest. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sleek and stylish decor that set the tone for the evening ahead. The rooftop bar offers an idyllic setting with plush couches and bar-style chairs, overlooking the breathtaking St. Johns River and downtown Jacksonville.
The unique cocktails at the rooftop bar were the talking point of the night. The mixologists here are culinary geniuses, crafting drinks that are inventive and absolutely delicious. We especially loved the charcuterie boards, which were a perfect complement to our drinks. We enjoyed the calm and sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends.
The service at River & Post is impeccable, with friendly and knowledgeable staff that catered to our every need. We were impressed with the extensive knowledge of the staff, who were able to recommend drinks that were tailored to our individual tastes.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the rooftop bar is open every day, no matter the weather. The retractable roof and fire pits make it the perfect spot for a cozy night out, even on a chilly evening. And if you’re in the mood for a full meal, the ground floor restaurant serves up tasty meats and seafood as both lunch and dinner.
While reservations are available for the restaurant, the rooftop bar works on a first-come, first-served basis. So, make sure to arrive early to snag a spot. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the dress code for the rooftop bar is ‘resort casual’, so leave the cutoffs and revealing clothing at home.
Overall, we had an amazing night at River & Post. The breathtaking views, unique cocktails, and impeccable service made it a night to remember. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a chic and sophisticated night out in the Riverside area of Jacksonville.
River & Post is a top-notch rooftop lounge that demands a stylish dress code to match its sophisticated vibe. Whether you’re heading out for a date or catching up with friends, dressing to impress is key. Here are some fashion tips to help you look your best:
For Women: Start with a sleek and elegant dress or jumpsuit that accentuates your figure. Pair it with a statement clutch and minimalistic jewelry to keep the focus on your outfit. High heels add a touch of glamour and elongate your legs, but if you prefer comfort, opt for stylish flats or sandals. Choose a chic hat to complete your look and protect your face from the sun. Recommended brands include Michael Kors, Ted Baker, and Kate Spade.
For Men: A tailored suit or blazer paired with dress pants is always a win for a rooftop lounge. If you prefer a more relaxed look, go for a crisp button-down shirt tucked into chinos. Add a sophisticated touch with a dress watch and leather belt. Loafers or dress shoes are the perfect footwear to complete your outfit. Keep your accessories minimalistic to maintain a timeless look. Recommended brands include Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger.
No matter what you wear, always remember to dress confidently and comfortably. River & Post is a place to unwind and enjoy good company, so leave any fashion anxieties at home. With the right outfit, you’ll be ready to sip on handcrafted cocktails and indulge in delicious meats and seafood while taking in the breathtaking views over St. Johns River and downtown Jacksonville.
