Ichi Ban wins fourth Adelaide to Lincoln yacht race
Sydney yacht Ichi Ban has won its fourth Adelaide to Lincoln Yacht Race, finishing the 156-nautical-mile event at 3am Saturday morning, 20 minutes ahead of South Australian hopeful Secret Men's Business.

"It's a great combination [of sailing skills], we really enjoy it, that's why we come back," Ichi Ban skipper Matt Allen said.
"This is our fourth year here and I think we're the only boat from New South Wales here, but we love coming here and it … makes sense coming up after the Sydney-Hobart."
The victory backs up the team's third Sydney to Hobart win last December.
Ichi Ban finished the 72nd Adelaide to Lincoln race in a time of 12 hours, 29 minutes and 45 seconds, about two hours slower than the record set in 2020 by Chinese Whisper.
South Australian sailing veteran Geoff Boettcher said his Secret Men's Business crew sailed well, however weren't quite good enough for the talented Ichi Ban line-up.
Conditions favoured the larger yachts, which were able to complete the race in consistent wind, while the tail end of the 25-boat fleet were greeted with light conditions at sunrise, slowing their progress on Saturday.

PLYC is recognised as one of the best country sailing facilities in Australia. PLYC hosts the yearly Adelaide to Lincoln Yacht Race and Regatta and in any given year will also host a couple of National Championships.
PLYC also runs a comprehensive junior sailing program and regular weekend racing for dinghies, multihulls and keelboats.

TEAKLE CLASSIC LINCOLN REGATTA
Adelaide to Lincoln Yacht Race is South Australia’s premier ocean racing event. Approximately 50 boats leave Outer Harbour on Friday to compete in a 156 nautical mile race across to Port Lincoln nestled on Boston Bay.
Lincoln Week Regatta is South Australia’s largest sailing regatta for yachts, multihulls and trailable yachts. The Regatta runs from Monday to Thursday of the week following the Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race.
