The Monaco Yacht Show returns this year for its 32nd edition with a stellar lineup of yachts. The newly refitted 319-foot Carinthia VII and the head-turning 312-foot Kismet are two of the largest yachts confirmed to attend, while this year’s debuts include a dozen-plus new launches that may not be as large as some of the brokerage and charter gigayachts at the show but are still an impressive group in terms of design.
The newbies also seem to be broken out into distinctive colors this year, with the 262-foot scarlet-red Leona being the largest launch at the show, while the 174-foot Jewels , with its sky-blue hull will also stand out. Damen’s Bad Company Support has neon-pink lettering on the side, while Anjelif has a gold exterior, and Grey has a black superstructure and light-gray hull.
The Monaco event is the biggest yachting show to take place throughout Europe and the marquis event in the superyacht world. The organizers have been working hard to promote environmental innovations and educational trends taking place within yachting. The show will have design and innovation hubs, sustainability hub, and an adventure area. Of course, the big stars will be the fleet of 120 superyachts in Port Hercules.
Here are the 10 launches that we will definitely be visiting at the show.
‘Leona’ | Bilgin Yachts
The 262-foot Leona is Bilgin Yachts’s largest delivery to date. Even amid the glamour of Port Hercules, the full custom yacht will be hard to miss, thanks to a bright-scarlet hull that has earned the yacht the nickname “the Red Bullet.” The exterior is designed by Unique Yacht Design, and the interior is by H2 Yacht Design. The largest yacht to debut in Monaco this year, Leona is part of the Bilgin 263 series. It has the same lifting transom and large beach club pool as its sistership Tatiana . Another wow-factor feature includes a pair of Greek statues covered in fiber optics that give the impression of a star-studded night sky.
‘Alchemy’ | Rossinavi
With a design that was developed entirely over Zoom, Rossinavi’s tri-deck 216-foot Alchemy was built for an owner with a penchant for space. The result is more than 3,500 square feet of deck space, which holds large outdoor dining areas mated with dedicated bronzing and socializing areas and an on-deck Jacuzzi. The design employs Philippe Briand’s signature Vitruvius hull, while the contemporary interior was by Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design.
‘Anjelif’ | Columbus Yachts
The 164-foot Anjelif is defined by its many technical innovations, including hybrid diesel-electric propulsion, an onboard sanitization system for the elimination of airborne viruses, and a touch-and-go helipad at the bow that converts into an open-air cinema. The all-aluminum, four-deck yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Columbus Yachts also boasts a gold exterior by Marco Casali of Too Design. The Italian studio used natural and sustainable materials to define the interior. Amenities include a gym on the main deck, a sauna, and treatment rooms.
‘Jewels’ | Turquoise Yachts
Turquoise Yachts’s 174-foot Jewels , with its sky-blue hull, will no doubt to turn heads wherever it ventures. The exterior design is the result of a first-time collaboration between the Turkish builder and Miami-based DeBasto Design. The interior is by British studio H2 Yacht Design to accommodates 12 guests. The boat, which has 720 gross tonnes of volume, boasts a large sundeck with spa pool, sunpads, bar, and socializing area.
‘Grey’ | Tankoa
Sporting a jet-black superstructure and light-gray hull, the aptly named Grey by Tankoa Yachts enjoys the same Paszkowski-designed profile as its sisterships Kinda and Olokun . But it’s the large glass-sided pool on the foredeck, paired with an outdoor cinema screen and integrated surround-sound speakers, that grab all the attention. A fold-down transom with extended swim platform, a beach club with side sea terraces, and a large sun deck with a second pool complete the 164-foot superyacht package.
‘X-Space’ | Sanlorenzo
X-Space by Sanlorenzo takes the use of onboard glass to a new level. Full-height windows, sliding-glass panes and “glass walls” in the guest cabins fill the interior with natural light. One of the yacht’s five decks is dedicated entirely to the owner, comprising multiple living areas, an office, and large master suite leading directly onto a private terrace at the bow. The exterior features include a 323-square-foot sunbathing deck and a swimming pool. Designed by Zuccon International Project, the 144-foot yacht is one of the Italian yard’s most anticipated launches to date.
‘Fancy’ | Nautor’s Swan
As the first hull in Nautor’s Swan’s 108 series, the 115-foot Fancy is one of a handful of sailing yachts making its world premiere at Monaco this year. Described by the shipyard as “the first in a new generation of Maxi Swans,” and sitting neatly between its Swan 98 and Swan 120 flagship, it mates a carbon hull with a sweeping and uncluttered resin-infused deck. The exterior design is by Micheletti + Partners, with naval architecture by German Frers.
‘Ace’ | Conrad
The 145-foot yacht Ace built by Conrad Shipyard is the largest superyacht to come out of Poland. Its Reymond Langton exterior is defined by a “rolling wave” superstructure and an 82-foot sundeck with cinema screen and recessed infinity pool. Commissioned by a Swiss owner who requested an interior with an “Italian soul,” the full-custom boat sleeps 10 guests in five suites, with accommodations for a crew of nine. It marks the first hull in the Polish shipyard’s C144S series.
‘ArtExplorer’ | Perini Navi
When Robb Report reported on Frédéric Jousset’s idea for a floating gallery in 2021 , the art enthusiast’s vision was still a dream. Now it’s a 154-foot reality called ArtExplorer , debuting at Monaco this year. Built by Perini Navi to a design by naval architects Axel de Beaufort and Guillaume Verdier, it is the largest aluminum sailing catamaran in the world. Following the museum boat’s premiere at Monaco, it will sail the world, hosting immersive art exhibitions curated in collaboration with the Louvre Museum in Jousset’s bid to “democratize the arts.”
‘Bad Company Support’ | Damen
The 175-foot Bad Company Support is the first hull in Damen Yachting’s YS53 support vessel series. Commissioned by American tech entrepreneur Anthony Hsieh, the support vessel will be the largest boat in the serial yachtsman’s 10-strong fleet of vessels used for sportfishing expeditions and marine conservation. It’s also his first new build. Sporting an attention-grabbing neon pink name on its side, the support vessel has a 5,000 nautical mile range, a 15-ton deck crane, and IMO Tier III-compliant engines.

Monaco Yacht Show 2023: The Largest Yachts on Display
By Frances Flannagan
The iconic Monaco Yacht Show is set to return for its 32nd edition this September; an exceptional industry-wide annual event that exudes unparalleled grandeur and status. To match the magnificent nature of this event, it is no surprise that some of the world’s most spectacular superyachts, both new and old, look to the show as the very best industry stage. We take a look at the five largest vessels on display for its 2023 edition.
97.2m CARINTHIA VII
On display with: Lürssen and Fraser
CARINTHIA VII is a 97.2m motor yacht built by Lürssen Yachts in 2002. With exterior lines and interior design penned by Tim Heywood, she is a vessel that boasts unmatched timelessness. Refitted in 2023, she has a sleek steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a draft of 4.8m and a beam of 15.95m.
Ranking 68th on Superyachts.com’s Top 100 largest yachts list, she is a highly impressive vessel, able to accommodate up to 12 guests and 15 crew members. She has four MTU 8000 engines, with the ability to reach 25 knots at top speed.
95.2m KISMET
On display with: Cecil Wright
Launched in 2014, KISMET is a 95.2m custom motor yacht from Lürssen, featuring exterior design by Espen Oeino and interiors penned by Reymond Langton Design. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a gross tonnage of 2700 tonnes, a max draft of 3.9 feet and a beam of 13.80 feet.
KISMET is a perfect vessel for performance as well as for leisure, with a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 6000 NM, as well as being fitted with a jacuzzi, helicopter landing pad and beauty salon. These relaxation opportunities and impressive performance capabilities can be enjoyed by up to 16 guests, whilst also able to house 27 crew members. KISMET ranks at 73 on our Top 100 list.
83.5m SAVANNAH
On display with: Feadship
SAVANNAH represents something new within sustainability in the superyacht industry, widely considered to be one of the first true hybrid motor yachts. This 83.5m yacht is one of the most award-winning Feadships on the water. Not only representing a new phase of evolution with regards to sustainability, SAVANNAH is a masterpiece of innovation through design, with a ‘floating superstructure’ that gives her a recognisable, yet timeless profile.
She was built in 2015, with exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects and CG Design, who also assisted in the interior styling. The experience on board that is offered to guests is as impressive as the other aspects of her design, with an underwater lounge, cinema, and pool; the ultimate superyacht paradise.
80m LEONA
On display with: Bilgin Yachts
Launched in November 2022, 80m LEONA is the second hull launched from Bilgin Yachts’ Bilgin 263 series. With an eye-catching red hull and gleaming white superstructure, she caught attention from her very first sighting. She has a beam of 12.25m and a draft of 3.5m, with the ability to reach up to 19 knots.
Unique Yacht Design are responsible for her naval architecture and exteriors, boasting exclusive and large spaces on board, making her the ideal entertainment vessel for the 10 guests she can accommodate. Interiors were penned by H2 Yacht Design, with a cinema, gym and sauna being notable amenities on board.
77.74m O’REA
On display with: Golden Yachts
In May of this year, Golden Yachts launched their 77.74m superyacht O’REA. Featuring exterior design by Studio Vafiadis, she is characterised by a powerful profile. Studio Vafiadis and Massari Design collaborated on her interiors; a contemporary design that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Over 250 finishes, materials and precious stones were used to decorate the stunning interior spaces, showing her to be the pinnacle of luxury.
The ultimate relaxation escape, O’REA has an expansive swimming pool, a health bar and a spa and sauna. She is powered by twin Caterpillar engines and is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning System, meaning that she can hold place without dropping anchor.
We for one are extremely excited to see this lineup, alongside numerous other yachts at the show this year. The Monaco Yacht Show will be taking place from the 27th to the 30th September.

Monaco Yacht Show 2023: Where Luxury and Innovation Set Sail
Exploring one of the World's Most Exclusive Yachting Spectacle.
- October 23, 2023
- chicicon_user
- 4 minute read
In the heart of the French Mediterranean coast, the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 took center stage from September 27 to 30. This four-day event is a beacon of opulence, where the world’s most esteemed players in the international luxury yachting sector congregate to witness a mesmerizing display of the largest and most expensive superyachts in the world.
Now in its 32nd edition, the Monaco Yacht Show continues to draw prospective buyers, designers, builders, suppliers, brokers, and superyacht enthusiasts from across the globe, solidifying its status as the pinnacle of the industry.
Magnificent Display
One of the show’s star attractions this year was the new 50-meter superyacht, Grey, crafted by the renowned Tankoa Yachts. Grey, along with a fleet of 50-meter-plus superyachts, anchored in the bay, making this Monaco Yacht Show a playground for the biggest players in the yachting world.
Johan Pizzardini, head of communications and media for the Monaco Yacht Show, highlighted the significance of this year’s event, stating, “We have 45 yachts that will make their world debut here – new deliveries… Half of the fleet is less than two years old. It’s the peak of the higher segment of the super yachting industry. Something that all of the industry has been waiting for.”
A Shift in Yacht Design
This year’s lineup showcased the evolution of superyacht design, influenced by a younger generation of owners with a fresh perspective. One of the notable vessels, the world’s largest sailing catamaran, the Art Explorer, is designed as a floating museum with a capacity for up to 2,000 visitors per day.
According to Pizzardini, this shift in design represents a change in the mindset of superyacht owners, saying, “Yachting is shifting thanks to the involvement of those new clients that are entering with a new mindset. It’s younger—it’s not the old money generations.”
Sustainability Takes the Stage
The Monaco Yacht Show’s Sustainability Hub returned for its second year, highlighting sustainable solutions and eco-friendly projects. This year, sustainability was a central theme, with many conferences focusing on the issue. Pizzardini noted, “Solutions are more viable and tangible, and the mindset has changed. So it turned from an optional development into the essential component of the building of a yacht today.”
Feadship’s Vision for the Future
Feadship unveiled Project Dunes, a 273-foot-long concept designed to move toward Net-Zero superyachts. This innovative concept combines energy-saving features with efficient technology and a focus on sustainability.
For aesthetic inspiration, the design team drew from undulating sand dunes, creating adaptable, multi-purpose spaces with endless views and a mix of open-plan and intimate areas. The design also prioritizes shaded walk-around decks, providing protection from the elements.
The use of asymmetrical superstructures, circular staircases, and full-height glass windows adds to the uniqueness of this design. Additionally, energy-saving features like the Cool Core Concept and ABB Dynafin™ propulsion ensure reduced energy consumption.
The Future Beckons
As the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 concluded, it left the world wondering which pioneering owner would commit to bringing Project Dunes to life. The show’s platform continues to be a place where vision and innovation merge to create the next wave of superyacht excellence.

Walking in Wealthy Footsteps

The show tour included a visit to the opulent Phoenix 2, designed for the “richest man in Poland,” the late Jan Kulczyk. This 295-foot vessel, on sale for $132 million, mirrors an art deco Manhattan penthouse, complete with lavish amenities and luxurious cabins.
As the Monaco Yacht Show demonstrates, the world of luxury yachts continues to redefine opulence, sustainability, and innovation, setting the course for the future of yachting.
