Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin's Yacht Photo Is All About Spreading Positive Vibes

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin aren't going to let the haters get the best of them during their relaxing getaway. As posted on Instagram, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's new yacht photo shows that the couple had a low-key and incredibly chill trip recently. Or, as Drop the Mic host wrote, "the Biebers" had a fun day together, without a care in the world for any of those pesky social media trolls.

Bieber and Baldwin embraced nothing but chill vibes during the past weekend, as the model's Instagram post showcases. On March 31, she posted a photo posing with her husband on a boat in what is surely one of the sweetest snaps of the married couple yet. Considering how much they've had to deal with when it comes to any of those haters online, it's nice that the couple was able to step away from the social media-related stress for a little bit.

Of course, the trolls couldn't help but come out of the woodworks to try and put a damper on the couple's fun. Baldwin even addressed some of the hate that she receives in a (since-deleted) post on her Instagram Story. She wrote to her followers, including those of the trolling persuasion, that there's a "weird" faction of people who follow her but continue to send her negative messages. On Sunday night, she wrote:

"why do people comment something rude on your pic but yet they follow you...? So you wanna be rude and nasty but still see everything I do? Weird."

It's certainly an interesting quandary that she brings up, and it's one that any of those lurking haters needs to take note of.

This isn't the first time that Baldwin has directed a message towards any of the haters. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in late March, in which she detailed her ROXY Sister collection with bestie Kelia Munoz, the Drop the Mic host opened up about receiving negative and intrusive social media attention . She told the publication:

“I’m like, you actually don’t know me. You don’t know him. You don’t know her, you don’t know these people for real. What’s really weird to me is they create scenarios in their head of what they think is happening or what they think should happen, and I’m just like, ‘This is just so dumb. It’s so dumb.’"

Baldwin's significant other has also addressed the trolls with his own passionate message. On March 25, Bieber posted a photo of his wife. But, one Instagram user still had something negative to say, as they brought up the "Sorry" singer's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez , and wrote statements such as "You are NOT in love with Hailey!"

He responded to their comment with a rather mature note, as he addressed his past with Gomez before heading into a strong defense of his wife. Bieber wrote, in part:

"I've seen multiple people say things like this and I will never respond again to a message like this and will never respond again to a message like this because I don't like to even give it my energy but this is a reply to all immature sick people who send Hailey hurtful messages like 'he always goes back to Selena' or 'Selena is better for him' YOU HAVE NO IDEA MY LIFE WHAts good for me!!"

It's so unfortunate that Bieber and Baldwin have to deal with these haters time and time again. But, at the very least, it's nice to see that the couple can move past any of the troll-related drama and focus on nothing but positive vibes instead.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs Explained

This collection of 10,000 cartoon apes has become the poster child of NFTs. Right now, the cheapest you can buy one for is $150,000.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs cost $190 at launch last April. Now they go for over $400,000.

NFTs have been around for five years, but the nonfungible token boom only truly began in 2021. It coincided almost perfectly with the launch of Bored Ape Yacht Club, a collection of 10,000 cartoon ape NFTs that's come to embody the whole industry. BAYC has over the past year become a bellwether for NFTs, just like bitcoin is for the crypto market at large. 

When NFTs were at their hottest, in April , the entry price for Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs was $400,000. Following the crypto crash, caused by the Federal Reserve's hiking of inflation rates to tackle inflation , that's fallen closer to $150,000. Far from the all-time-high, but insane considering these NFTs sold for about $200 apiece last April. 

You've probably seen a BAYC, even if you didn't realize you were looking at one.

Bored Ape owners currently using their NFT as a Twiter profile picture include Timbaland (1.6 million followers), Eminem (22.6 million followers) and footballer Neyman Jr. (55 million followers). Jimmy Fallon and Paris Hilton are also BAYC holders, discussing their Apes in a (cringey) Tonight Show segment . Justin Bieber made headlines with his purchase of a $1.29 million Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT in February. 

In June, Eminem and Snoop Dogg released a video clip in which the rappers are depicted by their respective Bored Apes .

Yuga Labs, the company behind the NFT collection, has already expanded the ecosystem to include a cryptocurrency (Ape Coin). More importantly, it's developing a "metaverse" MMORPG game called "Otherside." People holding Bored Ape NFTs are betting that the brand will completely break through and go mainstream. Already it's collaborated with brands like Adidas and Gucci, and last year a Bored Ape  graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine . 

Like everything else to do with NFTs, the Bored Ape Yacht Club is contentious. Apes inspire jealousy among those who own and trade NFT art but confusion and suspicion among people who don't. Their value is instrinsically tied to ether, the second biggest cryptocurrency. That means NFTs like BAYC are likely to lose their lustre if crypto collapses -- something critics have prophesized for years. 

Here's what you need to know about the collection.

Wait, what are NFTs again?

NFT is short for nonfungible token. These are tokens verify ownership on the blockchain. In essence, an NFT is like a certificate of authenticity for a fancy watch or the deed to a house. It certifies that the digital asset -- in this case a cartoon picture of an ape -- is legitimate, and denotes who the owner is.

The most ubiquitous criticism of NFTs is that they're useless because pictures can simply be right-clicked and saved for free. The point of NFT technology is that it makes public who the owner of an asset is. The idea is that anyone can buy a Mona Lisa print for a few bucks, but only one person or institution can own the original. Everyone in the world can save a BAYC jpeg on their computer, but only one person can own the NFT. 

Whether that makes NFTs valuable is a judgement call. Some people think they'll revolutionize the internet, at last allowing digital goods to be bought and sold like real-world, physical products. Others think they're an environmentally-costly ponzi scheme. 

Why are there 10,000 Bored Apes?

Broadly speaking, there are two types of NFT art. First, you have one-off visuals that are sold as non-fungible tokens, just like paintings in real life. Think the  Beeple NFTs that were sold at Christie's for as high as $69 million. Second, you have NFT collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club, which are mostly designed to be used as profile pictures on social media. The latter have become the dominant style, where most of the money is spent. 

Pioneered by CryptoPunks in 2017, NFT collections are a little like Pokemon cards. You have a set amount -- usually between 5,000 and 10,000 -- which all have the same template, but each has different attributes that make them unique. In the case of BAYC, there are 10,000 apes, each with varying fur types, facial expressions, clothing, accessories and more. Each attribute has a rarity component, which makes some much more valuable than others. 

These properties are displayed on OpenSea, the main platform where NFTs are traded. On any given NFT's page, its properties will be listed as well as the percentage of NFTs in the collection that share the property. Usually, anything under 1% is considered rare. For instance out of 10,000 apes only 46 have solid gold fur, making these particularly valuable.

Each NFT has traits which are ranked by rarity, making some more valuable than others. 

As noted, the "floor price" for the project -- what you'll pay for an ape with common traits -- is currently about $150,000 (85 ether). Apes with the golden fur trait are rare, and so sell for much more. One sold in January for $1.3 million . Another  with gold fur and laser eyes , two sub-1% traits, went for $3 million.

BAYC is the biggest NFT project of this kind, recently eclipsing CryptoPunks , which is credited as the first "pfp" (profile picture) collections. Other notable sets include CyberKongz, Doodles and Cool Cats .

What makes Bored Ape Yacht Club valuable?

This is a complicated question. The short answer is that they're status symbols , and like all status symbols their value comes from perception and branding rather than utility. Just like a CEO may try to communicate business acumen with a Rolex or a luxury suit, people who trade NFTs display their success with a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. Their argument is that NFTs are better status symbols than real-world items, since when used as profile pictures they can be seen by millions of people on Twitter and Instagram.

Let's start at the beginning. Bored Ape Yacht Club was launched last April. It took 12 hours for all 10,000 to sell out at a price of $190 (0.08 ether). The price of Bored Ape NFTs rose steadily until July, when they spiked dramatically and the collection became a blue-chip set.

What makes an NFT collection successful is highly subjective. Broadly, it's a mix of four things: Influencer or celebrity involvement, mainstream potential, utility for members and community appeal.

The first and second are obvious. When famous people own an NFT, it makes others want to own one too. When celebrities like Jimmy Fallon and Justin Bieber bought into Bored Ape, it caused a run in sales and hype -- and hype is what the NFT market is all about. People buying into BAYC today, at a steep price of over $150,000, are likely to believe that the brand could one day adorn more than celebrity social media accounts: Netflix shows, popular games and Hollywood movies are the goal. 

Thirdly, utility. Most NFT projects claim to offer a utility of some sort, which means it does something other than act as a profile picture. That can be access to play-to-earn games or the option to stake an NFT in exchange for an associated cryptocurrency. 

Bored Ape Yacht Club has done a few things to keep owners interested. First, it created the Bored Ape Kennel Club , offering owners the opportunity to "adopt" a dog NFT with traits that mimic those of the Bored Apes. Another freebie came in August of 2021: Digital vials of mutant serum. Owners could mix their Bored Ape with the serum to create a Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT (see below). 

The advent of this second collection last August is when the Bored Ape brand really popped. Seen as doing innovative things with NFT technology, and coinciding with a huge amount of money entering the space that month, Bored Ape Yacht Club started to be seen as the premiere NFT brand. 

Both Kennel Club and Mutant Ape NFTs now sell for a lot. The Mutant Ape Yacht Club collection entry point is about $30,000, while Bored Ape Kennel Clubs are selling for about half that. (Remember, these were free to BAYC holders.)

Last but not least is the community that's built around a collection. NFTs double as membership cards to holder groups. The more valuable people find belonging to that community, the less they'll want to sell their NFT. Bored Ape Yacht Club has organized meetups in New York and California, and there have been Bored Ape get-togethers in Hong Kong and the UK, too. This past June, BAYC holders were treated to "Ape Fest", a festival that included performances from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, LCD Soundsystem and Amy Schumer.

But "community value" also extends to financial self interest. The higher the floor price on a collection, the more crypto-rich traders you can expect to be holders. These savvy investors trade information within locked Discord groups, providing valuable (sometimes insanely valuable) tips to one another. Sell your NFT and you'll no longer be privvy to such tips. 

Eminem is the latest celebrity to flaunt a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT as a social media profile picture.

Who's behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club?

The Bored Ape Yacht Club was developed by Yuga Labs. At the time, Yuga Labs consisted of four people, all of whom went by pseudonyms. There's Gordon Goner and Gargamel, who are the two co-founders, and two friends who helped on the development side, No Sass and Emperor Tomato Ketchup.

All four went exclusively by their pseudonyms until February, when BuzzFeed reported the identities of Gordon Goner and Gargamel. Gargamel is Greg Solano, a writer and book critic, and Gordon Goner is 35-year-old Wylie Aronow. Both went on to post pictures of themselves on Twitter alongside their Bored Apes. Following that, Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Sass both "doxxed" themselves -- that is, revealed their identity -- by doing the same. 

The actual art was created by freelance artist Seneca , who's not part of Yuga Labs. 

What's next?

Yuga Labs has big plans for its Bored Ape Yacht Club brand, plans that are both on- and offchain. (That is, both on the blockchain and in the real world.)

Start with more blockchain stuff. In March, Yuga Labs released Ape Coin, its own cryptocurrency. All Bored Ape holders were airdropped just over 10,000 Ape Coins at launch, worth around $100,000 at the time (now about $70,000). Ape Coin will be the primary currency in Otherside, the metaverse Yuga Labs is building .

Metaverses are big, virtual spaces shared by hundreds or thousands of people at a time. They've existed for a long time, think Second Life or even Fortnite. Blockchain-integrated metaverses are different only in the sense that the land, building and items within the world are owned by users as NFTs. Yuga Labs has already sold land for the metaverse, making over $300 million in just a few hours of sales .

Out in the physical world, the Bored Apes are integrating themselves into fashion. Adidas launched its first NFT project, Into The Metaverse, in collaboration with several NFT brands, Bored Ape Yacht Club chief among them. Collaborations between Adidas and BAYC on both virtual and physical clothing are coming soon. 

Adidas is also a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. 

The Bored Ape Yacht Club brand has popped up in other industries too. Literally in the case of food: A pop-up restaurant in Los Angeles was recently turned into a permanent burger spot. In January, a mobile game, Apes vs. Mutants , launched on both the App Store and Google's Play Store. (Reviews have been unkind.) Another mobile game is in production , scheduled for Q2. Bored Ape figurines by Super Plastic are on the way too.

More unusual, though, is what people are doing with their apes. Owning a Bored Ape NFT gives you full commercial rights to it, and holders are taking advantage of that in some creative ways. One Bored Ape owner set up a Twitter account for his ape where he created a backstory, turning him into Jenkins, a valet that works for the Yacht Club. Jenkins is now signed to a real-world agency, and has a biography written by New York Times bestseller Neil Strauss . Universal Music Group has invested by  signing a band consisting of three Bored Apes and one Mutant Ape . 

You might think NFTs are silly -- and terrible for the environment -- but don't expect the Bored Apes to disappear anytime soon.

Following a rumored bust-up with Orlando Bloom over Miranda Kerr and several recent run-ins with the law, Justin Bieber  retreated to the comfort of his huge superyacht whilst vacationing in Ibiza .

Joined by Australian model Shanina Shaik and a mystery brunette he particularly took a shine to, his Jacuzzi, massage room and many TV’s on board 282ft (85m)  rental yacht Ecstasea   probably meant he was soon over his tiff with Orlando.

The fabulous superyacht once owned by Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich was built by Dutch shipbuilder Feadship and comes complete with not one but two helipads, and a built in helicopter hangar, gym, Jacuzzi and massage room complete with a masseuse as part of the crew. It’s ok for some! The bedrooms ooze luxury and the hallway, filled with works of modern art looks like something you would find in a hotel!

Superyacht Ecstasea

Bieber’s latest love interest comes only a few days after Orlando Bloom allegedly threw a punch at the singer at Cipriani restaurant, which at the time, was packed with celebrities including Paris Hilton   and Diddy .

Orlando was dining with Leonardo DiCaprio at the posh eatery and appeared to get rather angry when Bieber came up to their table and tried to talk to them.

Cool as you like, DiCaprio apparently shooed the Baby singer away with his hand which enraged Bieber and said something to provoke Orlando.

The argument that ensued was probably because Bieber made a comment that suggested he had slept with Bloom’s ex wife Miranda Kerr, after they met at a Victoria’s Secret show in 2012.

According to rumor, Orlando punched Bieber, much to the delight of the onlookers, including DiCaprio.

Bieber has since done nothing to settle things, despite the fact that he started the whole thing – and has instead decided to use Instagram to further rile up the Elizabethtown actor.

After the argument, Bieber posted a bikini-clad picture of Miranda with a crown symbol caption.  He then also shared a picture of Orlando that seemed to look as though he was crying.

He might be trying to start a tough-guy image since his baby face looks do not appear to be waning and probably won’t any time soon!

Meanwhile on board the yacht, despite the mystery brunette who seems to court all of Bieber’s attention, Justin posted a very cosy shot of him with Aussie model Shanina Shaik – but immediately denied any kind of budding romance.

He wrote next to the snapshot: ‘Me and the beautiful @shaninashaik and don’t even start with dating rumors.’

Bieber was later joined on board by pals Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez , who definitely seemed to hit it off.

Ibiza has been the hottest destination for celebs this summer, with Will Smith , Diddy , and superyacht king Leo DiCaprio all choosing to let their hair down in the Balearics on board a luxury yacht.

Who know if Bieber will go even bigger next year? Maybe a 100m yacht? Either way, it seems the gossip surrounded Bieber’s activity is bigger than any yacht could be…

Huh? You mean you don't let your teenage son rent a yacht whenever he wants time alone with his new girlfriend? Gee, you must have a serious case of the meanies. As for exactly how Bieber scored his recent Caribbean yacht trip with Selena Gomez, here's how such things are done out here ...

"Justin wouldn't charter the yacht as he is not old enough," says David Horne of the travel agency Cosmopolite. Instead, in cases like this, Horne says, management companies generally handle such details. "A 16-year-old can not sign a contract on a $300,000 yacht charter. It would have to be his immediate family or his handlers."

In other words, the yachts are rented in the name of the manager adult, and the kids' names are then added to the passenger manifest.

"I'm 95 percent confident that the transaction was done thru his manager, Scooter," echoes Lyndsey Green of Pat Walker Travel. "It's totally the norm that everything goes through management."

And Green would know.

"I used to handle Lil Bow Wow's travel, back when he was still 'Li'l'," Green says. "I literally took orders and requests from a 15-year-old would call me up and have me reserve him limos and hotel rooms and everything. It always made me chuckle."

There is also the possibility that the yacht was on loan from a friend, even a famous one. If so, Bieber's people don't necessarily want you to know which friend; his publicist didn't return a request for comment.

While Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were busy getting engaged this weekend, Selena Gomez was lounging on a yacht.

On Sunday, the singer and most-recent-Bieber-ex was spotted hanging with her friends on a cruise in New York City a few hours after the engagement news broke, People reports. In a series of Instagram videos on her friends’ accounts, Gomez can be seen lounging on a yacht in a blue-and-white striped bikini, and encouraging some of the buddies she’s with to jump into the Hudson River — a questionable, albeit spirited, choice.

As most know, Gomez and Bieber have been at the center of an on-again, off-again romantic saga that spans years. The timeline of the #jelena love affair began in December 2010, when the musicians were first spotted holding hands, to earlier this year, when they reportedly parted ways for good , with a series of breakups and makeups in between. Most recently, the pair rekindled their love for a few months from November 2017 and March 2018, subsequently sending the entire Internet into a flurry, but ultimately, it didn’t work out. “Selena realized even though he’s made some positive improvements, they just aren’t a perfect match right now,” a source told E! at the time.

Bieber and Baldwin were linked shortly after his and Gomez’s latest split (the model also dated Bieber in the past, during one of Justin and Selena’s “off-again” periods), and their romance progressed at Ariana Grande–Pete Davidson levels of speed. All it took was a series of PDA-filled paparazzi shots over the course of two months before Bieber reportedly popped the question.

“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks,” a source told People exclusively of the Bieber-Baldwin engagement. “He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”

How Justin and Hailey Bieber Are Planning for Parenthood: Inside Their 'Super Committed' Marriage (Exclusive Sources)

As the couple gets closer to welcoming their first child together, sources tell PEOPLE how "protective" they are of their growing family

Justin and Hailey Bieber have baby, baby, baby on the brain.

After announcing they are expecting their first child together in May, the couple — who first said "I do" in 2018 (and again a year later in a fairytale wedding ) — have been soaking in quality time as a couple while preparing for parenthood.

"They're ready to become parents . They're planning for the baby's arrival and it's very cute," a Justin source tells PEOPLE exclusively. "They are super committed to their marriage, but also to being the best parents possible."

Last week Hailey, who's the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin , made headlines when she revealed in a W Magazine cover story that she's not currently "super close" with her family .

While she said she has "very fond, beautiful memories" of her childhood, the Rhode founder, 27, noted that she's "very independent" at this stage in her life.

Indeed, sources say Hailey is fiercely protective of her growing family – and that Justin, 30, has found safety in their relationship.

"The music industry is a cutthroat world and it's difficult to trust people. He's had major trust issues and thinks everyone wants something from him," says another Justin insider. "He has a small circle of friends."

Adds the first source: "Hailey has always been very supportive of Justin. She's his rock. She is patient and someone he can always lean on ."

While Hailey grew up with a famous last name , she is "very solid," says a friend of the couple. "She's been a grounding force for Justin. Her family is who they are, but she always wanted her own identity."

Carving out her own path — especially while navigating a high-profile marriage — "hasn't been easy," says the friend. "But she's really figured out who she wants to be and works really hard. They will be super hands-on parents."

She's also been a guiding force for her husband as he figures out his next career moves. "She's very involved and helps him make decisions," says another insider close to the Biebers.

Through the years they've both been open about their struggles with mental health , and sources say Justin and Hailey have found strength through their shared Christian faith in difficult times. "They're very religious and lean on their faith," says an industry source.

The Bieber insider notes they remain "very close" with Judah Smith, a pastor on the leadership team at Churchome who has long guided the couple. "Justin and Hailey are really involved in their church community," says the insider.

Now, after overcoming several unexpected setbacks — including Hailey's scary mini-stroke in 2022 , followed shortly after by Justin's Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis and subsequent tour cancellation that same year — the couple are excited for their next chapter together. Says the Justin source: "They will be great parents."

Justin Bieber Boots Kids Out of Hotel Lobby Over Safety Concerns for Pregnant Hailey Bieber

Justin Bieber has already gone into full papa bear mode! The “Somebody to Love” singer scolded some teenagers who wouldn’t leave him alone in a hotel lobby in Los Angeles, California. Justin reportedly became concerned about the safety of his pregnant wife, Hailey Bieber .

The group of teens, who were at the hotel for a bar mitzvah according to TMZ , all held their phones up and recorded Justin, 30, and the attention finally got to him. In the TikTok video shared on Thursday, August 8, Justin can be seen asking the gaggle of kids what they found so funny.

“Is this funny to you guys? This is funny to you guys?” Justin asked the teenagers who all held their phones up as they filmed the pop star. “Get out of here! Go on, get out of here! This is not funny, bro!”

The “Love Yourself” artist wore a white tank top with a straw hat and sunglasses, and he was sporting a pair of shorts slung low on his waist.

TMZ reported that Justin didn’t lose his cool right away and an eyewitness told the outlet that the dad-to-be didn’t lose his cool with the group of kids right away. Justin was reportedly meeting Hailey, 27, at the Waldorf Astoria for lunch in Beverly Hills, but the onlookers refused to oblige his requests for them to let him exist in peace.

Sources told the outlet that the singer-songwriter “didn't swear at the kids,” and he was “only worried about his wife’s safety.”

Earlier this year, Hailey’s dad, Stephen Baldwin , caused fans to worry that the couple had run into trouble within their marriage .

“Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord,” Stephen, 58, wrote alongside an Instagram Reel he reshared in February. “There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face.”

However, it turned out he was only asking for some extra prayers for the couple and they were happily married.

On May 9, Justin and Hailey announced they were expecting baby No. 1 . The couple shared the news via Instagram with a sweet retro-style video that featured Hailey in a form-fitting white lace gown that showed off her growing baby bump. A rep later confirmed that the Rhode skincare founder was already six months along in her pregnancy.

The same day, family and friends flooded social media with congratulations for the parents-to-be, including Hailey’s dad, Stephen.

“Love you guys, blessed beyond words. Praise God. Let's get ready to have some fun y'all,” Stephen wrote alongside a photo of Hailey and Justin’s baby announcement that he shared on his own Instagram profile.

However, Justin’s mom, Pattie Mallette caused some confusion with fans when she commented on Stephen’s post.

“Congratulations Grandpa!” Pattie, 49, wrote. “WE ARE GONNA HAVE THE CUTEST GRAND-BABIES EVER!”

Fans were quick to notice the use of the word “grandbabies” as opposed to “grandbaby,” and several people thought that Pattie was teasing that Justin and Hailey were expecting twins . She later clarified her remark with another comment.

“No not twins lol I wish,” Pattie explained. “I just mean in general. Hopefully they will have more than one eventually. They will make beautiful babies whenever they have them. One is enough for now.”

SAG HARBOR, N.Y. -- Justin Timberlake made a virtual court appearance Friday in his drunken driving case on Long Island, saying little during the brief proceeding as a judge accepted his not-guilty plea and suspended his right to drive in New York.

Police in the seaside village of Sag Harbor arrested Timberlake June 18 after they say he ran a stop sign, veered out of his lane and got out of his BMW smelling of alcohol.

The former NSYNC singer, who is on tour in Europe, wasn't required by the court to return to the U.S. for his court date. He is performing Saturday night in Antwerp, Belgium.

His attorney, Edward Burke Jr., has maintained that Timberlake was not drunk and that the case should be dropped.

“The facts remain he was not intoxicated,” Burke said Friday, according to Newsday. “I’ll say it again: Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated and we’re very confident that charge, that criminal charge, will be dismissed.”

Sag Harbor Village Justice Carl Irace suspended Timberlake's Tennessee driver's license in New York state and threatened to impose a gag order on Burke, saying the attorney's comments to the media have been inappropriate.

Irace set a next court date for Aug. 9.

Timberlake had appeared in court in person previously but his arraignment needed to be repeated because of a paperwork oversight. Burke said the original charging document lacked a police sergeant’s signature.

Assistant District Attorney Ashley Cangro said new documents were filed July 2 to address that flaw.

Timberlake was pulled over after leaving a Sag Harbor hotel around 12:30 a.m., according to police.

“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” police said in a court filing.

Timberlake, 43, told the officer he had had one martini and was following some friends home, according to police. He was arrested and spent the night in custody at a police station.

How can I possibly bring someone else into this?’ I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”

She shut down rumors that their marriage was troubled, saying, “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one. ‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy. I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”
