The Balance of
Design & technology, a new way of yachting.
In the design and development of AQUA, our team derived inspiration from owners’ lifestyles, the fluid versatility of water and cutting-edge technology, combining all of this in a 112m superyacht with truly innovative features.
On board, the interrelated requirement for privacy and space has been addressed with an extraordinarily large owner’s pavilion. To accentuate the link with the water, much thought has been devoted to making the ocean as accessible and visible as possible.
At the lower decks, the usual parameters for propulsion, range and speed have been translated into a complete hydrogen-electric system, whose physical dimensions and operational characteristics reinforce a comprehensively innovative superyacht experience.
Sander J. Sinot
Aqua-inspired evolution.
At Sinot, our highly talented designers offer more than just a design style. We always integrate all aspects of design into a newbuild: this means acknowledging key questions such as ‘why build a yacht in the first place?’ and ‘how can we ensure that you will enjoy your investment and enrich your sense of freedom?’
Aqua is focused on an environmentally sensitive subject: yacht propulsion and the choice of fuel. Propulsion systems have become highly optimized over the past few years: diesel-electric combinations in many configurations and setups have grown in popularity, with the goal of increasing efficiency and ultimately reducing emissions. To take this discussion into an entirely new realm we have initiated AQUA, our new yacht concept, using a hydrogen-electric system capable of catering for all onboard energy needs.
Exterior design
Surge of energy.
The flowing exterior lines of AQUA are inspired by ocean swells – the surge of energy induced by winds and currents, boosted by the gravitational forces that control the ocean’s tides.
Those fluid, free-flowing lines accentuate the freedom of life on the water and blend into their environment in complete harmony with nature. AQUA is configured with a with a five-deck set up, utilizing forward interior space through the high sheer line which subtly descends from bow to aft.
The yacht has been designed to provide those on board with the closest possible proximity to the water. The aft deck features a unique and innovative series of platforms cascading down towards the sea, while a large swim platform allows all AQUA passengers to enjoy the optimal experience of accessing the water at sea level.
Circular indulgence
The indoor health & wellness center is a water-world of serenity, where the reflecting waves of the water feature complement the onboard environment with their soft, vibrating motion. Entering this world feels like a subtle spiritual transition; from the relaxed openness of the main lounge to the healing atmosphere of this AQUA-typical spa.
The experience is heightened by passing through the sensational circular tunnel which contains the steps leading from the main lounge on the beach deck to this ‘mare tranquillum’ in the lower deck. The fullness of the experience is further underlined by the moon-shaped portals surrounding the central lobby, which leads to the gymnasium and massage room.
Massage & Gym
Hydro workout.
AQUA contains an exclusive hydro massage room, where passengers can revel in massages administered by soothing, pressurized water jets. Hydro massage therapy is extremely relaxing and is purported to help alleviate sports injuries as well as muscle and soft tissue ailments. Invented by the Romans, hydro massage remains one of the most popular, wellbeing-enhancing massage techniques.
The gymnasium provides a sensational experience with its massive, gym-wide hatch which opens to reveal the ocean’s surface at water level, creating the perception of exercising and relaxing on an island in the sea. A yoga space and workout floor, complete with cycling apparatus and weightlifting dumbbells for a total body workout, are arranged side by side. This allows all gym users to enjoy the magnificent views and close proximity to the water, while being protected by the strengthened panoramic glass window.
Beauty Salon
Focus on what matters.
The experience is heightened by passing through the sensational circular tunnel which contains the steps leading from the main lounge on the beach deck to this ‘mare tranquillum’ in the lower deck. The fullness of the experience is further underlined by the moon-shaped portals surrounding the central lobby, which lead to the gymnasium and massage room.
Central Staircase
Connecting skies and water.
Situated at AQUA’s core, the spectacular circular staircase is one of the yacht’s defining features, winding down from the top deck to the lower deck. The elegant staircase floats naturally in place around a cylindrical void.
A spectacular art piece is located at the bottom, suggesting the endless ocean depths as a reflection of the eternal skies suspended over the top skylight. The intriguing, finely crafted detailing of the wood balustrade seems to defy gravity and catches elegant reflections produced by the wave structure of the artwork at the bottom floor. Backlit crafted glass inserts in the steps accentuate the motif of flowing water, trickling down from the bridge deck.
A true spectacle manifests itself at the lowest level, facing aft, where two massive liquified hydrogen tanks reveal their hexagonal textured surface structure behind a giant façade of strengthened glass.
Owner’s Pavilion
Openness and freedom.
The spectacular, extremely spacious and beam-wide owner’s pavilion, occupying the front half of the upper deck, offers an abundance of privacy. The pavilion is arranged in a vast open-plan area of interlinked spaces, divided by finely crafted wooden screens providing intimacy and subdued lighting. Both at the starboard and port sides, floor-to-ceiling band windows supply an incredible impression of openness and freedom.
The ceiling, at a height that varies from an ample 280cm to an impressive 380cm at the large central skylight, is supported by an intricately crafted wooden structure. Below this, and depending on each owner’s preferences and hobbies, the vast owner’s pavilion can be filled with art, musical instruments or other objects of desire, in an informal setting of ultimate comfort, light and luxury.
Owners Bathroom
Symmetrical harmony.
AQUA’s large master bathroom is accessed directly from the bedroom section in the owner’s pavilion. The striking symmetry, balancing his-and-hers vanity and shower units, creates a composition of refined and considered proportions. Every detail of the bathroom reflects a sense of scale and skilled workmanship. Shapes and materials interact and combine to create an elementary yet luxurious atmosphere.
The use of premium surface finishes, such as the pitch-black, highly reflective precious marble floor, accentuates the timelessness of the interior. The sense of harmony is reinforced by amazing views over the ocean; scenery that can be enjoyed from the showers and the free-standing bathtub alike.
Embracing Tranquility
Located on AQUA’s beach deck, close to the waterline, the spacious and naturally outfitted VIP state rooms stand out by virtue of their spacious design and highly elaborate furniture. The rooms are specifically designed to offer guests the best possible environment in which to enjoy their time on board, cleverly combining optimal use of space with perfect ocean views through the giant band windows.
The VIP cabin and other state rooms are focused on openness, luxury and comfort, providing a maximum sense of freedom in a highly detailed minimalist Japanese beach-style setting. Textured silk carpets, fully customized furniture pieces in sustainable woods and the use of multiple textures in wall and ceiling paneling all create an atmosphere of ultimate hospitality and natural tranquility.
Beach Deck Lounge
Fluid hospitality.
AQUA’s beach deck lounge is a sensational constellation of interlocking spaces, and as such represents the nexus of onboard hospitality. Its inner section supplies a secluded fine dining setting, for 14 guests, providing an elevated platform for additional privacy with its surrounding, hand-crafted wooden screens.
Towards the aft deck, a comfortable, custom-designed circular settee is ideal for hosting informal chats while enjoying the seascape view through the floor-to-ceiling glass façades.
The circular setting can also be rotated to transform it into a home cinema. To the aft deck, where the infinity pool cascading to sea level begins, sets of highly comfortable lounge chairs are grouped together, accommodating the best views of the ocean and providing an unlimited indoors-outdoors experience.
Outdoor Lounge
World of relaxation.
The majority of time on board AQUA is spent outside, both during the day and the evening in good weather. As a consequence, providing comfort and privacy is vital for maximizing quality time outside, whether this involves dining, partying, relaxing or enjoying poolside drinks at sunset – or just letting one’s mind roam freely over endless seascapes.
The relaxing lounge setting makes this deck incomparably conducive to spending memorable times with family and friends. The inside and outside of this vast space can be connected by opening the curved, sliding, floor-to-ceiling glass doors, enabling intimate alfresco dining or extensive sunbathing in absolute privacy. The deck furniture has been completely custom-made by the finest craftsmen, and is upholstered in soft fabrics with colorful throw pillows and piping details.
Upperdeck loung
Unwind and recharge.
AQUA’s upper deck lounge, adjacent to the owner’s pavilion, is where hospitality, socializing and interaction with the marine environment intertwine. With its full glass façades and open exterior decks, the ever-changing views will never cease to astonish. The relaxed lounge setting and extensive al fresco dining facilities create a deck which is tailor-made for spending treasured times with family and friends.
For more private dining, a secluded setting can be created, connecting to the lounge with the use of the sliding shoji grid screens. All furniture pieces are custom-designed and combine ultimate comfort with fine detailing and rich fabrics. Natural materials and a balanced application of grids and wood structures define the spaces in well-proportioned sections. Everything contributes towards a harmonious ambience in which the owner, family and friends can truly experience the ocean in all its magnificence and unwind from the tensions of daily life.
Upper Deck Aft
Invite the light.
At AQUA, the natural connection between the inside and outside space is a particularly appealing aspect of the superyacht’s design concept. In addition to al fresco dining and lounging, an outdoor cinema can be created in which the best audiovisual media can be savored in an awe-inspiring setting above the seas.
Gel fueled fire bowls contribute towards an intimate feel while allowing passengers to still experience the great outdoors in all its beauty. One could easily forget where the interior ends and the outside begins, as both cease to feel like separate spaces: freedom, relaxation and comfort are constant factors throughout, heightening the overall experience.
Wheel House
Technology at your fingertips.
AQUA’s wheelhouse, located under the bubble hood-shaped roof on the bridge deck, is designed as a cockpit with a 360° view all around, creating both a great working environment and a spectacular space in which the owner and guests can enjoy the operation of the yacht. The wheelhouse is equipped with state-of-the art systems and head-up display technology. Designed to meet all nautical requirements and fulfil additional demands in decades to come, the wheelhouse can work at the captain’s ease or perform under pressure as and when required.
Views worth a thousand words
The AQUA room provides the last word in relaxation, in which the owner can enjoy music, enjoy the scenery and enjoy life. This observatory is located at the bow, at the far end of the owner’s pavilion, and offers a top-of-the-world feeling and endless views from the best position on board. The space is unique by design and function, and the spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows eliminate all borders between the viewers and the seascape, offering an incredible outlook for those on the floating daybed.

The World's First Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht Has a $644 Million Price Tag
By Nick Mafi
Superyachts seemed to be among the last modes of (luxe) transportation to bend toward the growing consumer demand for eco-friendly engine designs. But if news from last week’s Monaco Yacht Show served as a bellwether, the industry meant to cater to the wealthiest among us made a progressive splash with the unveiling of Aqua, the world's first hydrogen-powered superyacht.
Designed by the Dutch firm Sinot Yacht & Architecture Design, Aqua is a nearly 400-foot-long vessel that's run entirely by a renewable energy source. "Water is the eternal fuel of life, the life-sustaining force that makes planet Earth habitable," says Sander Sinot, founder of the firm that bears his name. "Water is soft, yet at the same time it cuts through hard rocks." It was this appreciation of water that helped the firm find balance between the natural world and the technological. The propulsion system is made up of two 28-ton vacuumed tanks that each contain liquified hydrogen which are stored at -423 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with being eco-friendly, hydrogen-based energy means for a quieter experience aboard the ship in comparison to traditional engines. That said, there will be backup diesel generators handy should the captain ever need them.
The infinity pool aboard AQUA.
There was much confusion on Monday if there was already a buyer who had paid the hefty $644 million price tag. Reports spread throughout the internet that billionaire Bill Gates had purchased the superyacht, rumors that proved to be false. Yet readers couldn't be blamed for believing such reports, as images show Aqua to include its own infinity pool, helipad, spa, and gym—amenities meant to attract billionaires such as Gates.
An aerial view of the superyacht shows how close passengers can get to the water, as well as the cascading design of the infinity pool.
Sinot and his team designed the vessel to safely bring passengers as close to the water as possible. "Water is relaxation; it makes us calmer and more creative," Sinot comments. "We wanted to provide those on board with the closest possible proximity to the water. The aft deck features an innovative series of platforms cascading down towards the sea, while a large swim platform allows all passengers to enjoy the optimal experience of accessing the water at sea level."
One of the bedrooms inside of Aqua shows a minimalist aesthetic.
Aqua can reach speeds of up to 19.5 mph and features enough room for 14 guests and 31 crew members. The firm plans to complete the vessel by 2024.

AQUA // Sinot // Fuel Cell Yacht
Aqua is the project name of this 112m fuel cell (hydrogen) superyacht by sinot yacht architecture & design and lateral naval architects..
According to the design studio, AQUA ‘s exterior lines are inspired by ocean swells. The sharp reverse bow reminds me of NAUTILUS – the ship in the movie The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen . SINOT placed the AQUA room here, like in NATURE – one of the studio’s previous projects. This area belongs to the owner’s area. The designers used curvy lines on the bridge deck on top of the yacht and rear lines of the vessel. The bridge deck also features a helipad.
The Hydrogen Propulsion
AQUA has large hydrogen capacity (two 28-ton tanks) for an operating range of 3,750 nautical miles at 17 knots. The proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells generating power of four MW to support the hotel functions and the electric engines (one MW each) with contra-rotating propellers and Voith Schneider propellers. The hydrogen is stored at -253° Celsius.

Has it been sold to Mr. Bill Gates?
Many mainstream news media reported the sale of a hydrogen yacht to the Microsoft founder Mr. Bill Gates and showed renderings and videos of AQUA. The design studio said that it is not valid. There are no relations to Mr. Gates; the concept is still under development and is a showcase project to inspire innovative clients.

Inside 112m Hydrogen-Electric Superyacht Concept Aqua
Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design 's 112 metre hydrogen-electric yacht concept Aqua was designed for "a discerning, forward-looking owner".
Extensively developed over a period of five months, Aqua was created in collaboration with Lateral Naval Architects , which developed the yacht’s hydrogen technology and naval architecture.
Fusing ground breaking technology with cutting edge design, Aqua features a hydrogen-electric system. The hydrogen propulsion package is based on the use of liquified hydrogen, which is stored at -253C degrees in two 28 ton vacuum isolated tanks.
The hydrogen is converted into electrical energy by proton exchange membrane fuel cells, with the generated energy powering the propulsion, auxiliary systems and hotel services. Water is the only by product of the system, which also sees large batteries buffer the generated electricity. The result is a top speed of 17 knots, cruising speed of 10-12 knots and range of 3750 nautical miles.
Speaking about the concept, designer Sander Sinot said: “For development of Aqua we took inspiration from the lifestyle of a discerning, forward-looking owner, the fluid versatility of water and cutting-edge technology to combine this in a 112 metre superyacht with truly innovative features."
"Our challenge was to implement fully operational liquid hydrogen and fuel cells in a true superyacht that is not only groundbreaking in technology, but also in design and aesthetics."
The interior meanwhile has been designed around providing as much privacy and space as possible. Accommodation is for a total of 14 people and 31 crew. The full 15.4 metre beam owner’s “pavilion” occupies the front half of the upper deck.
Key features of the owner's pavilion include an open plan layout divided by wooden screens, floor to ceiling windows on the port and starboard sides, a large central skylight and crafted wooden structure. The apartment also include a large bathroom, dressing room and spa.
Other interior features include the Aqua room, which is located at the bow at the far end of the owner’s pavilion for far reaching ocean views and a “top-of-the-world” feeling.
Aqua also features an indoor health and wellness centre with a hydro massage room, yoga space and workout floor.
A circular staircase sits at the core of the yacht, linking all five decks. Described as “a true spectacle”, the staircase bypasses the two hexagonal liquified hydrogen tanks, which sit behind a screen of strengthened glass.
The exterior meanwhile has been inspired by “ocean swells”, and features a curved top deck, integrated bow observatory, glass band windows and a raised front profile.

Aqua may not be the most inventive name for a boat, but Dutch design studio Sinot’s newest yacht concept more than makes up for its humdrum moniker with a radical dose of innovation and future-forward design.
Developed over the past five months—and unveiled just days before the Monaco Yacht Show —the behemoth 360-foot-plus superyacht prototype marks an exciting step forward in the marine industry: Aqua will be fully powered by liquid hydrogen. The handiwork of Lateral Naval Architects , the hydrogen propulsion system promises smooth and silent sailing at longer range with zero emissions—a major selling point for eco-conscious seafarers.
So, how does it actually work? The liquified hydrogen—which will be stored at -253°C in two 28-ton vacuum isolated tanks—is converted into electrical energy by proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEM) and used to provide power for propulsion, as well as the auxiliary system and hotel services. Batteries buffer the generated electricity to ensure power demands are always met. The result is a near noise-free sustainable sailer that boasts a top speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots and a range of 3750 nautical miles.
“Our challenge was to implement fully operational liquid hydrogen and fuel cells in a true superyacht that is not only groundbreaking in technology, but also in design and aesthetics,” designer Sander Sinot said.

Indeed, Aqua pushes the envelope when it comes to aesthetics, too. The exterior—inspired by “ocean swell”—sees curved lines flow across a five-deck set-up which has been designed to get guests as close as possible to the water: The aft deck features a water-covered staircase that cascades down the deck towards the ocean, while a generous-sized pool blends into the surrounding sea.
Meanwhile, the expansive interior has ample space for 14 guests and 31 crew, with a luxurious 50-foot VIP suite occupying the front half of the upper deck. Standout features include a unique 360-degree observatory where guests can soak in the seascape, and an indoor health and wellness center with a hydro-massage room, yoga space and workout floor.
You’ll have to wait for the yachtmaker to build the full-size boat to see it up close, but Sinot will present a 10-foot scale model at the Monaco Yacht Show next week. Otherwise, you can check out more images of Aqua below.

Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design
Dutch company Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design presented its first eco-friendly yacht at Monaco Yacht Show. The concept, called Aqua , is 112 meters long, in addition to being equipped with 5 decks, a yoga studio, a beauty salon, a massage room, and a cascading pool.
In a historical period where environmental issues are on the front page of all the world news, the nautical sector could not avoid playing its part in safeguarding nature: ecology enters the companies of the section as a life philosophy and as a fundamental principle on which to aim for a more responsible and eco-sustainable future.
Aqua is fueled by liquified hydrogen, stored at extremely low temperatures, in vacuum-isolated tanks.
A spiral staircase in the centre of the yacht leads to the bottom deck where the 28-ton tanks set behind strengthened glass, designed to keep the liquid hydrogen stable at -253° C.
Despite being only a concept at the moment, Aqua would be capable of running at 17 knots of speed, with an autonomy of more than 6.000 kilometres. Simply converting liquid hydrogen into electrical energy by proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, water is the only by-product.
The sharp-shaped superyacht would accommodate 14 guests and 31 crew members, offering a high-end indoor health and wellness center featuring a gym, a hydro-massage room and a yoga studio, as well as indoor-outdoor entertaining spaces and a formal dining area.
Entirely designed with a hit of Japanese influence for the interior, Aqua’s exterior look is inspired by ocean swells with a sculpted hull intersected by glass windows. Additionally, Aqua provides an observatory on its bow, accommodating 2 people to enjoy the view of the sea through giant windows, and a helipad.
Another interesting project about sustainable sea travel is the X Shore Eelex 8000 : a 100% electric propulsion boat, launched by the Swedish company X Shore, which appears to be the first floating Tesla.

This Sinot Aqua Is The World’s First Hydrogen-Powered Super Yacht
The Monaco Yacht Show was the home of one of the largest yacht unveilings of this era, with a design for a 367-foot yacht being revealed. But its size isn’t what makes it interesting, it’s what it runs on.
The ship design, made by a Dutch firm called Sinot Yacht and Architecture Design , is a model of just over 6.5 feet and showcases an innovative power source in the form of liquid hydrogen. With the name Aqua, it would be the first ship to run on this hydrogen and fuel-cell technology, with the only bi-product being water, much like the Toyota Mirai that we’ve discussed before. The system depends on two, 28-tonne vacuum-sealed tanks of liquid hydrogen that would be stored at a cold temperature of -253 degrees Celcius (-423 degrees Fahrenheit).
On top if this, it will feature the latest in design and creature comforts, including a glass panel at its base to allow for incredible viewing of below the ocean, and pure luxury in design including pools and a helicopter pad. It has a formal dining area big enough to sit 14 people, rooms for working out, yoga, and even a hydro-massage room. There’s also space for three jet skis.
If you’re into super luxury yachts, this is definitely one to keep an eye out for. The eco-friendly ship could very easily change the industry if it launches.

This is the Sinot Aqua, a massive 368-foot super yacht that’s powered by hydrogen.
The price tag is equally massive, coming in at $645 million.
READ MORE: This $10m yacht has three hulls and can travel half way around the globe on a single tank
Designed by Sinot Yacht in the Netherlands, the ‘Aqua’ was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show and engineered to become the world’s first hydrogen-powered mega-yacht.
It is powered by two hydrogen engines, delivering a grand total of 1,341 hp.
CHECK THIS OUT!
The top speed is 17 knots and, more to the point, the Aqua can cruise at 12 knots for 3,750 nautical miles.
In other words, it can sail from Miami, Florida to the port of Southampton in England on a tank.
Inside, you’ll find cabins and spaces that redefine the meaning of the world ‘luxury’.
The Sinot Aqua can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 massive suites, including two VIP cabins that are bigger than most rooms in a 5-star hotel.
There’s also enough space for 31 crew.
Among other things, you’ll also find a spa, sauna, beauty salon, hairdresser, nd a fully-equipped gym.
And of course there’s inevitable garage space for tenders, jet skis and sea doos.
When the Aqua was first unveiled a couple of years ago, the rumor mill started spinning, suggesting Bill Gates had purchased the ship .
This rumor has since been debunked but it says a lot about the kind of customer the superyacht was built for.
After all, only billionaires can afford a yacht with a price tag that’s dangerously close to 10 figures.
Is Elon Musk looking to buy a yacht by any chance?

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
