Me and my husband had a great time doing a two-hour evening ride. You can bring your own drinks and play your own music, but the best part is really taking in the views. Everything was great from start to finish. Booking online was simple and you can fill out the waivers online ahead of time. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Very nice for a friends outing or date night! We went late afternoon/early evening and it's still pretty hot (late June) but once we took off it was cooler with a breeze. Enjoy the ride and take in great views along the Potomac. It's BYOB and you can connect your music to the boat's Bluetooth. Overall great time and our driver Jafari waited for us even though we were late. Make sure to use your phone for accurate directions, you'll walk though a tall gate past an office to get to the docks. We got a Little confused at first.

Have to show some love to this innovative company that popped up at the perfect time. A tiny pod on a tiny boat trying to celebrate a protracted Halloween, we wondered how we can show off our cute outfits but also stay safe and distant....enter....Yachtsy. Need to take advantage of a gorgeous day with friends or family? Yachtsy. A creative and romantic date idea? Yachtsy!

What do you do in the time of COVID-19 when you want to be out with friends, not pay a billion dollars at a bar where you can only be seated with so many people, enjoy the weather, and do something a little bit different? You rent a boat with Yachtsy. It was super easy to set up, the boat driver was right on time and super polite and you never got the feeling that he was wishing he were somewhere else. Its BYOB, which, how can you beat that!? and you can bring your own munchies. This was a great time and everyone in my group said we needed to do it again once it cooled down. Def check it out.

Spring is here.

Our Glebe Creek Cove Ospreys returned on March 11th and immediately reclaimed their nest site. Dad cleaned out the nest and chased off rivals - including some very noisy Canada geese and a rather shocked bald eagle who vanished in a flurry of feathers. Mum arrived a day ago and immediately took residence to guard the nest site on our custom-built piling. She didn't budge even when an inquisitive member of Island Chill Yacht Charters discretely visited (hidden in his car) to take her portrait. We're expecting two eggs very soon. We'll update you on their progress.

Does Boatsetter screen renters?

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

Our group had the most amazing early evening trip! We went swimming, stopped for drinks and had the best day of summer so far! DuShawn and Carla took great care of us and cruising the bay at 4 pm was so peaceful, relaxing and the perfect temperature! Dushaune was an incredibly wonderful and amazing captain! He has a fun, warm, welcoming personality! He was very easy to communicate with, and he answered all my questions in-depth! The whole boating tour experience was perfect - from start to finish! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the surrounding landmarks! My friends and I cannot stop raving about the boating experiences; we will hands down go back to Dushaune’s boating tour!! 5/5 stars for everything! :)

If you want an awesome experience or have a unique request, Dushaune is your guy! He did an absolutely wonderful job for us. For our Indian wedding, we wanted to use a boat for the Groom's entrance into the wedding. This was a complicated ask, especially since the marina next door to our hotel was having a boat show and no one could assist us there. Dushaune walked us through how we could make it work by using a nearby dock on the other side of the hotel. He was always available before the big day to talk to us and his communication was top notch. On the day of, he was on time (even early) and it worked out perfectly. All the guests thought it was an epic way to enter. Dushaune was also very flexible throughout, letting us bring a photographer and videographer on the boat. He also has a giant bluetooth speaker which is awesome to use. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using Dushaune, he is an awesome person to work with and his boat is super nice.

Cursing on the River on a Thursday evening was everything! We surprised my daughter for her Birthday and it amazing! We had a dance party! We sang together! We embraced watching the sun go down changing colors and being so breathtaking, my goodness there is nothing like the light of the moon on the water. The sun set to the East and the moon showed up to the west, Aaa-ma-zing! Captain was a gracious host, dropped the anchor so we could chill and chat, this guy is great and I would recommend him 100 times over!!! My daughter LOVED her Birthday surprise on the River!
