Motor Yacht STARSHIP 185' (ex MY SEANNA, NEWVIDA, Gallant Lady) was built in 2001 by Delta Marine and first refitted in 2009. In 2013/14 she underwent a significant interior and exterior re-build by Rybovich Shipyard. The yacht has been extended from 48,77m (160’) to 56.39m (185') in length; extending the hull and the decks, creating a swim platform and beach club. Finally, she was refitted to her current beauty in 2021. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 charter guests in 6 luxurious staterooms with deluxe amenities. Her crew of 11 will take care of your desires and ensure you have a relaxing charter vacation onboard.

The main salon located on the bridge deck boasts a 61" flat-screen TV and a generous lounge area plus cushioned window seating and a Gran Tour player piano. The decorative window panels offer the option of a complete blackout for cinema viewing. From the main salon, there is access to the aft and the upper deck. There is also a day head forward of the main salon.

As you enter the yacht from the Aft Deck, you are greeted by a magnificent staircase that begins down below in the guest accommodation and spirals all the up to the Main Salon. The dining area is located on the main deck and can seat 12-14 guests on her custom dining chairs. There is a large service pantry aft as well as a Wine Cellar and two day-heads. The gym features a treadmill, free-weights and dumbbells along with a flat-screen TV.

STARSHIP 185' has equally impressive exterior spaces. Her aft deck offers alfresco dining for 12 guests and a service area forward on the starboard side. The aft deck also boasts a Flat screen TV and music on demand. The upper aft deck on the bridge deck, which is aft of the main salon has additional seating for 10-12 and also has a flat screen. This area can convert to disco-tech with special lighting, a dance floor and stereo system available. The yacht's sundeck features a Spa Pool and more Alfresco Dining. The sundeck also has a flat screen, five chaise lounges and a convenient Day head. The Crow’s nest is a small covered seating area with spectacular panoramic views high above the water. This can be used as an alternate Bridge for Captain. There is an additional sunning area forward on the main deck with six chaise lounges.

Accommodation is offered for up to 12 guests in six lavish staterooms including a main deck owner's suite and a VIP cabin located on the bridge deck which offers a commanding 360-degree ocean view.

Superyacht STARSHIP 185' can accommodate 12 guests in 6 luxurious cabins. Her Master suite which is located on the Main Deck forward is the full width of the beam and has a King-sized bed. This luxurious cabin has a seating area and desk and a 32" flat-screen TV with surround sound. The suite boasts a semi-circle His and Hers ensuite with separate wash closets and bidets linked by a Spa Pool tub and large shower stall. There is a VIP Cabin on the Bridge deck offering 360 degrees views. Below decks, there are 2 VIP's cabins with a king bed and ensuite and 2 large Twin cabins with a seating area. Each Cabin has an ensuite, SAT-TV and iPod Stations linked to a surround sound system. Movies and music on demand. Creston control and remote systems including Creston Concierge- guests can order off a special menu direct from their cabin 24/7. All staterooms have mini-fridges.

Chris Wallace - Captain Languages Spoken: English Captain Chris, originally from the south of England, has been in yachting for 20+ years. His favorite things about yachting include navigation, challenges, water sports, and meeting all the great people. He got into yachting by virtue of helping people with boats in his local marina. After a while, people started paying him to help and he soon discovered all the benefits that come with a career in yachting. So, he sold everything he had (except his windsurfing gear), got licensed, and went and got his first job as an engineer on the classic, Moonmaiden II. A fun fact about Captain Chris, when he finished college, he moved to the Canary Islands and lived in a tent on the beach for 2 years. Also, at 17 years old, he came 2nd in the under 19’s national windsurf championships in the UK. Finally, he loves telling Dad jokes, as he often finds they make him laugh! Carla - Mate Languages: English Carla has been in yachting for 9 years and hails from South Africa. Her favorite yachting activity is Scuba diving and, is how she found her way into yachting! Carla is a PADI certified open water instructor and holds a 200 Ton Yacht Master License. A fun fact about Carla is she used to teach kids how to ride horses and really likes cake, yum! Jess - Chef Languages Spoken: English Jess grew up on the border of North Wales and Shropshire but spent a lot of time on the coast near Abersoch where she now has a vacation cottage. She has been working in the yachting industry for 10 years, traveling between the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and USA. She grew up between Indiana and California. Dani made her way into yachting when a friend of hers, who spent a substantial amount of time in the British Virgin Isles for work, told Dani about the exciting stories she heard from her friends there in yachting. Dani thought their job sounded amazing and was already working in hospitality at the time. That, coupled with her love of traveling, made a career in yachting seem like a natural fit. So, after doing some research, she made the move to South Florida to embark on an exciting new career! Dani just loves being in the water. Whether it’s just swimming, snorkeling, or paddle boarding, the water is where she finds her bliss. A fun fact about Dani is she comes from a big family with 6 brothers and sisters, so she was already used to living with several people and the chaos that ensues in a big family! This helped prepare her for life in a small crew mess with her big boat fam! As a child, she and her brother who is also in yachting, spent the majority of their time on boats. Sarah first entered yachting in 2020 and hasn’t been back home since. She has always been fascinated with the industry after watching a number of her friends become yachties. When she finished studying for her BCom Degree, she decided to do her yachting courses and see what the yachting world was about. Sarah brings along her love and dedication for being a Stewardess. Mikaela - 3rd Stew Languages Spoken: English, Conversational Spanish Mikaela is originally from South Africa, 4 years ago her family moved to the States and so began her yachting career. She is a pastry Chef by trade who studied culinary arts and advanced pastry at 1000 Hills chef school for 2 years. Her sweet nature and hard work ethic make her an extremely valuable member of the team. Mikaela has been on Starship since Feb 2019 and is excited to continue her yachting career with hopes of more travel and one day becoming a chief stewardess. James - Chief Engineer Languages: English James was raised in Newport, South Wales, and has been yachting 6 years while working on cruise ships prior. James holds a SV 9000/3000KW Second Engineer Unlimited. James’ favorite yachting activity is most definitely the Jetski, he loves to go fast! James made his way into yachting after spending 5 years working on cruise ships and looking to make a change. He always heard about the exciting opportunities yachting held and decided to make the jump in 2016. A fun fact about James is as a child, he was a very talented bass trombonist. He e achieved 8th grade standard and played in several reginal and national ensembles. Sean Meagher

Captain Sean P. Meagher. Born and raised on Cape Cod Sean was given his first sail boat, a Laser, at 8 years old. By 12 he graduated to a 13-foot Boston Whaler. By 18 he earned his first Captains ticket and became the youngest Captain ever at Hyline Cruises (a local ferry company providing service from Cape Cod to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard). From the polar ice cap to the atolls of the South Pacific, Captain Meagher has had the privilege to command everything from search and rescue vessels on the Colorado river to some of the worlds finest and most innovative power and sail yachts on the planet. On Captain Meagher’s last command, the MY Latitude, he undertook 3 historic journeys. In 2014 He led Latitude through the Northwest passage (east to west) and was the 216th boat in history to do so. Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen was the first in 1906. In 2015 Captain Meagher led a second expedition through the passage this time west to east was the 9th boat in history to ever do so and was awarded Boat Internationals Voyager Award. A glutton for punishment in 2016 Latitude ventured North once again. This time circumnavigating Svalbard, an archipelago north of Norway, and punching within 400 miles of the North pole. Latitude is the only private vessel ever to do this and was nominated for second Boat International Voyager Award. In 2017 Latitude headed to New Zealand where she underwent an extensive refit. Captain Meagher was the lead designer and Latitude was nominated along with Vripack for a third Boat International award. This time in the “Best Refit” category. After New Zealand Captain Meagher returned to his old stomping grounds of the south Pacific and South East Asia. Here he sadly said good bye to Latitude completing a five-year mission to go on adventures and photograph wildlife. A life long conservationist Captain Meagher has allied himself with organizations such as The Ocean Voyages Institute and has spoken internationally on the subject of plastics in the Ocean and what to do with them. As a charter Captain Sean has excelled here as well winning accolades and rave reviews from every major charter house on the planet. He has spoken frequently on the subject of the"perfect customer journey" something he feels passionate about. He doesn't just want to give you a great experience he wants to give you one you will never forget. Captain Meagher holds a USCG Master’s Unlimited Tonnage all oceans license for both sail and power.

Motor Yacht Starship

Motor yacht STARSHIP (formerly MY SEANNA) is a 185-foot luxury charter yacht launched in 2001 by Delta Marine and refitted in 2021. The refit included a brand-new Beach Club and Ocean Deck. The yacht’s luxurious interior was designed by Bonville Associates.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
