The MS Panorama is a fully renovated, elegant motor-yacht launched in 1993 and has since been rebuilt in 2001 and renovated in 2019. This state-of-the-art sail cruiser has performed several Atlantic Ocean crossings and offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort, and safety. Cabins, located on 3 decks, are finished with wooden furniture and light fabrics and feature fully equipped en-suites, air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, safe and more. Life on board centres around the main deck lounge and dining room as well as the upper deck indoor-outdoor bar area and the sun deck. In the evening you can relax in one of the ship’s lounges, and enjoy a drink while listening to piano music. A swimming platform enables you to swim when the Captain drops anchor at secluded bays and beautiful uninhabited islands. The Panorama lives up to her name with sweeping sight lines from two upper decks. Soak up some rays from a lounge chair on her teak decks. When the weather permits, appreciate the elegance of the Panorama’s full sails. While not a luxury cruiser, the Panorama is warmly decorated with gold and wooden interiors and she is sure to charm.

Common Areas Aboard Panorama

During the day, life on board the Panorama centers around the outdoor areas: the two bars and the Sun Deck with a sitting area to relax and enjoy unobstructed views, bask under the sun, read a good book or just gaze at the scenery. In the evening relax in one of the ship’s two lounges or the mini library and have a drink while you listen to the piano music or watch a nightly film. The swimming platform on the Panorama’s stern enables swimming in the sea at secluded bays and beautiful uninhabited islands when weather and anchorage conditions permit. Meet the officers and captain to learn about the Panorama’s navigation aboard the open bridge. Wi-Fi is available at an extra cost.

Dining Aboard Panorama

The classy dining room is surrounded by large windows that provide beautiful views of the ports of call. All passengers are accommodated in a single, unassigned seating. Breakfast and lunch are served on the state-of-the art hot & cold buffet, which also includes an “a la minute cooking” section. For dinner, enjoy an elegant five-course meal with options for meat or fish. Vegetarian and diabetic-sensitive fare can be accommodated when requested in advance. A wide variety of dishes, both international and locally inspired, are created by the onboard chef. Filtered coffee, tea and water are available all day and water will be served with dinner.

Activities Aboard Panorama

When weather permits, indulge in a swim off the swimming platform at the back of the boat. Snorkel gear is available for those curious about what lies under the water’s surface. Paddlers can opt to go kayaking as well. Comfy beach towels and inviting board games await back on board.

Cabins & Deck Plan Aboard Panorama

The Panorama cabins are located on all three decks and are finished with wooden furniture and light fabrics. Cabins on the Upper and Main Decks are equipped with windows while cabins on the Lower Deck have portholes. The fully-equipped bathrooms are finished with marble or Corian. All cabins are air-conditioned and fitted with flat-screen TV, telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, piped-in music via the public address system, 220v electrical outlets and safe boxes.

The 4 Category C cabins are located on the Lower Deck with 1 double bed or 2 twin beds and portholes. Approximately 119-124 square feet.

The 12 Category B cabins are located on the Lower Deck and have 2 or 3 twin beds and portholes. Triple occupancy available. Approximately 124-130 square feet.

The 8 Category A cabins are located on the Upper Deck or Main Deck with 2 twin beds or 1 double bed and have large windows enabling breathtaking views. Approximately 124-135 square feet.

The crew was terrific. As was small group, there was much interaction with crew. The passengers were all pleasant and seasoned travelers.

The ship was clean & attractive. Food excellent! Participate in everything that you can! The more you do the more fun you will have.

The crew was terrific.  As was small group, there was much interaction with crew.  Not so stiff and proper that they weren't approachable. We saw many monkeys, so of course that was fun.  The passengers were all pleasant and seasoned travelers.

I couldn't imagine that tour without Elliott.  He was pleasant, knowledgeable and had a great amount of patience.  I don't think he ever stopped and was always so prepared.  He kind of made the trip.

The Panorama sailing-yacht offers comfortable accommodation and plenty of space to enjoy exploring the Greek Islands en route to Dubrovnik in Croatia. MS Panorama has 24 cabins which can accommodate up to 49 passengers. Each cabin has a private ensuite bathroom and individual A/C control along with a mini-fridge, TV and mini-safe. All cabins have a window or porthole to allow guests to see the amazing scenery.

The social areas include a lounge with library, boasting floor to ceiling windows for great views of the islands as you pass by. A large indoor dining room allows guests to enjoy the prepared meals onboard in comfort. On the upper deck are an outdoor bar and lounge area providing a great place to mix with other guests or just relax in the evening. Other outdoor areas include a sundeck and shaded aft deck to take in some of the local sunshine.

The MS Panorama small cruise ship departs from Athens and heads towards the Adriatic via numerous Greek Islands including Kefalonia, Paxi, Ithaca, and Corfu. Continuing on toward the Adriatic hotspots of Budva in Montenegro and Dubrovnik in Croatia. This route can be done from either Athens to Dubrovnik or vice versa.

FLEXIBLE BOOKING – This liveaboard offers a free trip reschedule within 24 months if you are unable to travel due to Covid-19 related restrictions.

If you wish to cancel instead of reschedule then the following cancellation terms apply;

• More than 240 days out = 90 % refund
• Between 120 and 240 days out = 88 % refund
• Between 90 and 119 days out = 85 % refund
• Between 60 and 89 days out = 75 % refund
• Between 30 and 59 days out = 50 % refund
• Less than 30 days out = no refund
• The destination country prevents you from entering due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on your country of residence.
• Your country of residence prevents you from departing due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on the embarkation point for the liveaboard.

The 1993-built MS Panorama 1 cruise ship is a 3-masted sailship owned by the Greek travel brand company Variety Cruises ( fleet ). The boat was completely drydock rebuilt in 2001, and together with the sistership Panorama 2 are among the largest Greece-based superyachts available for charter.

The vessel (IMO number 8928260) is currently Greece- flagged (MMSI 237966000) and registered in Piraeus/Athens .

History - construction and ownership

The 50-passenger ship Panorama 1 is perfect for group-, corporate- and incentive charters. Due to its smaller passenger capacity , this unique sailing ship is spacious and provides its guests with utmost luxury. 

Decks and Cabins

MV Panorama 1 staterooms located on the upper and main decks have windows, while those at the lower deck feature portholes. All staterooms are handsomely designed and finished with warm fabrics and lustrous wood trims. The fully equipped bathrooms are all finished with marble. All accommodations are air-conditioned and fitted with a telephone (for internal use), TV, central music, hairdryers, mini-fridge, safe boxes and public address system. 

The boat has 3 passenger decks , all of which are with cabins.

Shipboard facilities and amenities

The indoor Bar & Restaurant are located on the Main Deck, though in nice weather, all meals are served alfresco. The dining room can accommodate all travelers for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Both the library and the dining room can be turned into meeting rooms featuring audio-visual equipment.

The aft Sun Deck is equipped with chairs and loungers. There is also a swimming platform for exciting dips in aquamarine waters (when anchorage and weather permit). Water sports equipment like snorkeling gear and kayaks is available per request. Indoor spaces consist of a lounge with a library, large smart HDTV, comfortable sofas. Wi-Fi is available at an additional cost.

Itineraries

MV Panorama 1 itinerary program is based on Mediterranean (Adriatic Sea/Dalmatian Coast) and Caribbean voyages.

In August 2021, Variety Cruises announced two new itineraries scheduled for Panorama 1.

• Departing on December 13, 2021, the 8-day Caribbean Christmas voyage (from Bridgetown Barbados ) visits The Grenadines ( Bequia Island , Canouan Island , Tobago Cays ), Martinique , St Lucia , Grenada . Prices started from USD 1620 (EUR 1375) per person with double occupancy.
• Departing on January 22, 2022, the 8-day Panama Canal transition cruise (Panama to Costa Rica) was priced from USD 1520 (EUR 1290) pp.

The last Central America/Caribbean voyage was scheduled to depart on March 11, 2022, from Costa Rica.
