The next edition of the palma international boat show will take place from 25th to 28th april 2024.
The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will take place from 25th to 28th April 2024 in Palma’s Moll Vell, and will once again inaugurate the Mediterranean nautical season. The show is organised by the Institute for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI), an entity dependent on the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA).
The event has a very complete offer including everything from all kinds of new boats to nautical products and equipment, as well as services, marinas and marinas. Special mention should be made of the Palma Superyacht Village, a section specially designed for boats over 24 metres in length, both sailing and motorboats, and which also includes an area specialising in boat repair and maintenance, known as refit & repair, in which the leading companies in the nautical industry take part.
The Palma International Boat Show has established itself as one of the essential fairs at the start of the nautical season. This is borne out by the participation figures of recent editions. In 2023, the fair had 271 participating companies and some 600 boats on display, more than 250 at sea, spread over an 81,000-square-metre exhibition site. It was also the setting for the presentation of new boat models and products on a global scale, as well as becoming the nerve centre of the sector for four days.
The last edition was characterised by a very full agenda of events, such as activities to promote training and employment in the nautical sector. In addition, the Palma Superyacht Village area hosted the Innovation Corner, a space dedicated to emerging companies focused on innovation in the nautical world, especially with digitalisation and sustainability solutions.
The marketing work for the next edition of the show is scheduled to begin in September.

About the palma superyacht village.
With its award-winning marinas, capable yards and catch-all array of services, Palma de Mallorca holds all the cards when it comes to accommodating yacht owners, captains and crew. Additional reasons behind the island’s maritime allure are its cyan waters and perfect sailing conditions, not to mention the ever-growing PALMA SUPERYACHT VILLAGE. The capital’s annual mustering of industry influencers and display of nautical eye-candy has gone from strength to strength since its 2013 launch.
Whether you’re an experienced owner keen to explore exciting additions to the brokerage/charter market or are new to the illustrious world of yachting, the PALMA SUPERYACHT VILLAGE features some of the finest superyachts currently for sale and/or charter. The show’s sweeping array of shore-side exhibitors, showcasing anything from the latest advancements in sail design to cutting-edge marine electronics, is another huge attraction. The show’s trademark relaxed atmosphere, another nautical ace up its sleeve, is evident through the many parties, events and impromptu get-togethers, which are predominantly casual, all-inclusive affairs

Palma International Boat Show: Here’s why you need to visit Mallorca this April
Palma, the capital of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, has a lot to offer during the month of April. Aside from sun-soaked highs of 20°C and long stretches of largely untouched beaches, the Spanish island also plays host to one of the biggest and buzziest boat shows in the yachting calendar. The Palma International Boat Show is held at Moll Vell, the island’s largest and best-equipped marina, and will bring a huge selection of luxury yachts, speedy tenders and cutting-edge racing sailboats together.
Returning from April 27 to 30, 2023, the four-day show marks the kick-off to the summer season in the Mediterranean, with boat enthusiasts and professionals from around the world coming together to network, learn and see what the industry has to offer.
With the list of exhibiting yachts and companies constantly expanding, this year’s edition is set to top 2022’s figures, which saw 276 participating businesses and 264 boats on display. So far, more than 300 companies are confirmed to attend and the yachts scheduled to be on show include the 30.5-metre Wally Love, 42-metre Flying Manta, 33.7-metre Adytum , 32-metre Idle , 50-metre AAA , 40-metre Naema and many more.
Placed against the beautiful backdrop of the Palma Cathedral, the exhibiting toys, tenders and yachts are all for sale or for charter and showcase the very best and latest in yacht design, technology, and innovation.
As well as having the opportunity to view a huge variety of vessels in one place attendees can enjoy food, music, drinks and various water sports and activities as part of the agenda.
For the first time, the show will also host the Innovation Corner. Supported by Yachting Ventures, the space will be used to encourage dialogue between start-up companies and wider industry professionals to support the future of yachting.
In the days surrounding the show, there is plenty to see in and outside of Palma on the island of Mallorca . Visitors can take the time to indulge in the likes of Palma’s old town, with its charming winding streets and historic buildings. The many beaches on the island are often quiet, scenic and the perfect place to take a time out – as are the island’s other most prominent landmarks: the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the Bellver Castle. With so many local restaurants and bikes and boats to rent, a few extra days spent discovering Mallorca is a welcome choice.

Palma International Boat Show 2023
by mallorcaunderthesun | May 2, 2022 | News | 0 comments
The Palma International Boat Show 2023 returns to Mallorca and will be held from the 27 to 30 April 2023 promoting all things nautical from the very top-of-the-range sailing yachts to the luxurious and modern motor yachts.
I visited in 2022 while working for the local paper, and while I am not working directly in the yachting industry, it was still fun to look around and the event is open to the public.
Held in Moll Vell in Palma´s La Lonja area, the Palma International Boat Show is the main yacht show in the Balearic Islands for anyone interested in investing in a yacht, yacht maintenance, or supplying their superyacht.
As well as motor yachts, the Palma International Boat Show also showcased the very best in yacht toys from jet skis to fly boards .
It’s also a great opportunity for yacht owners and investors to talk to the yacht providers about charters and trials. And for those interested in yachting, the opportunity to take a superyacht tour.
The Boat show is largely a trade fair with all the major providers in one place. It is also a great networking event.
The yachting industry is the main employer in the Balearic Islands offering the best employment opportunities for those wishing to work hard and earn good money.
And for those interested in getting a foothold in the industry, it’s worth taking a look around and speaking to staff on the stands about working on the superyachts crewing a yacht or working in the offices in various locations around the world.
I will be making a video for my Youtube channel about working in the yachting industry in the future, so make sure you subscribe to my Youtube channel to check that out.
For more information about living in Mallorca, check out this article here .
While this event was hosted primarily for those in the yachting industry, it attracted residents and holidaymakers too.
If you are visiting the Palma Yacht Show, then I would advise visiting on a week day as the weekends were extremely busy.
Tickets are available at the main entrance for 2023 cost 12€.
To get an insight into the Palma International Boat Show, a look aboard a couple of super motor yachts, and an idea of how much luxury costs, check out the video I made for my own channel here.

Palma international boat show (pibs) and the superyacht village (psv) return to the centre of palma de mallorca 27th - 30th april….
Back for a bigger than ever year, the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) and The Superyacht Village (PSV) herald the beginning of the 2023 summer season in style over four days at Moll Vell in the centre of Palma de Mallorca 27th - 30th April. The 2022 show attracted more than 32,000 people and brought together 276 companies, this year record numbers are expected to descend on the largest of the Balearic Islands, in celebration of all things nautical.
''The setting for PIBS is spectacular'' says Arne Ploch, Managing Director of the Palma Superyacht Village. ''In the heart of beautiful Palma, surrounded by amenities, luxury hotels and world-class restaurants, in the springtime sun, clients are flying in from all over Europe and further afield, it's a really enjoyable time and a great way to start the summer.''
Clients are not only flying in to enjoy the boat show atmosphere, but they are also coming ready to buy, Ploch explains. ''Having PIBS in the springtime is a great opportunity for buyers, they can potentially sign a contract right after the show in May and a month later be out on the water fully enjoying the Mediterranean season aboard their new vessel, that's a unique and very alluring prospect. Palma Superyacht Village, a show organized by the Balearic Yachts Brokers Association for the industry is the perfect platform to introduce newcomers to yachting as well as cover all services an experienced owner is looking for.”
Palma also has the distinction of being one of the sailing yacht capitals of the world. A strong pedigree of not only sailing yachts but also motor yachts from 24-55m+ will be found at PSV in-water display, for sale and charter. In 2023 there are more yachts available to charter at the Superyacht Village than ever before, as the brokerages respond to an ever-growing client base wishing to spend time on the water.
PSV is also an important date on the B2B calendar, as the professional yachting industry converges in Palma to meet, network, collaborate and exchange ideas. The ever-popular Re-fit & Repair area and the raft of shoreside exhibitors will feature both local and international companies and this year is sponsored by new brand partner Estrella Galicia.
Also new to the Superyacht Village is the Innovation Corner in collaboration with leisure marine entrepreneurial community hub Yachting Ventures. The Innovation Corner will provide a space for nautical startups to showcase new technologies, and to promote dialogue between young companies and the wider yachting industry.
"We are thrilled to announce that the Innovation Corner, a new initiative in collaboration with Yachting Ventures and the Palma Superyacht Village, featured at the 2023 edition of the Palma Boat Show," continues Ploch. "As an island, we understand the tremendous contribution of the yachting industry to our economy and acknowledge the significance of remaining innovative. We are eager to meet the selected start-ups participating in the Innovation Corner and offer them the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the attendees of PIBS this year."
Commenting further on the partnership, Gabbi Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures adds, "We're delighted to offer startups the opportunity to showcase their solutions to the industry by participating in the inaugural Innovation Corner at PIBS. There's always a real buzz at this show, and I grew up in Mallorca so the event is personally one of my favourites on the yachting calendar. It signifies the start of summer in the Mediterranean, and it is especially important because it inclusively spans all sizes of yachts and watercraft.''
The yachts are not the only attraction at The Superyacht Village, food enthusiasts will be delighted by Mallorca resident and Michelin-starred chef Mark Fosh and his team who once again will bring the Fosh Lounge to the Superyacht Village for delectable bites and refreshments in a luxurious setting, this year brought to life in collaboration with Bentley Barcelona.
Gourmets will also love sampling the offerings from Tast Out catering, who will provide their take on local cuisine during the show via their first-class catering services to exhibitors and boats.
Whether you are coming to Palma to do a little yacht shopping, meet with industry colleagues and friends, discover new technologies and innovations or sit back glass of rosé in hand and soak up the atmosphere of all things nautical in one of the Mediterranean's most spectacular destinations the place is to be is Palma International Boat Show and The Superyacht Village, Moll Vell, Palma de Mallorca this month 27th - 30th April.

Palma superyacht village.
www.palmasuperyachtvillage.com
Palma Superyacht Village, previously known as the Palma Superyacht Show, is an integral part of the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), the opening event of the Mediterranean yachting season, taking place from the 25th to 28th of April 2024. It is one of the few industry-owned and operated yacht shows aimed to bring the visitor closer to yachting and offer any services a yacht owner might require, provided by trusted and well-established companies, in a relaxed but professional atmosphere.
Whereas PIBS is the hub for the latest shipyard presentations and services related to yachts under 24 m, Palma Superyacht Village displays a selection of superyachts above 24 m for sale and charter, as well as hosts an exhibition of nautical services available to superyachts. Within the dock-side exhibition there is also a separate area dedicated to Refit & Repair, representing the many specialist companies that make the Balearic Islands one of the world´s leading destinations for refit and maintenance of boats.
Because of this, our islands have the necessary infrastructure to carry out repair and maintenance work on both small and large boats. In fact in Palma alone, more than 1000 projects a year are carried out on boats over 24 m, according to the data collected by the Balearic Marine Cluster
The exhibition is located in the Moll Vell area in the heart of Palma de Mallorca, right in front of the majestuous, landmark cathedral of Palma and the bustling old town with its restaurants, outdoor cafes and quirky boutiques. With its laid back, uncomplicated and fun atmosphere, the Palma Superyacht Village is the perfect place to discover yachting.
