You get to immerse yourself in the beauty of the beautiful waters and enjoy a luxurious way to marvel at all the natural beauty that surrounds.
What are yacht charter prices in St Barths?
Gustavia's yacht-filled harbor shows you that the island is a sailing favorite for yachting enthusiasts. Here, you can find all kinds of boats, from monohulls to sailing catamarans, to superyachts that provide you with everything you need for an indulgent holiday. A 100-foot motor yacht can cost an average of $9,000 for a full day's charter, while a 47-foot sailing catamaran can cost about $1,500 from 9 am to 5 pm. A superyacht, with a length of 268-feet, can cost around $890,000 for a full week's charter.
When is the yachting season in St Barths?
St. Barths offers beautiful weather almost all year-round, except for hurricane season that begins in July and ends in early November. Therefore, the months of December to March is the ideal yachting season in St. Barths, when the skies are blue and the sun is shining all day, offering the most beautiful weather to sail around the waters and laying around the gorgeous white-sand beaches.
St Barths yacht charter for a day
There are 22 beaches in St. Barths, with 15 of them accessible for swimming. All beaches are open to the public, which means you've got 22 reasons to hop on a yacht charter for a day exploring these wonders. However, because you only have about 7 to 8 hours of daytime, a full day yacht charter can only get you to a few locations on the island. One of these is the Colombier beach, which is only accessible by boat or a 30-minute hike. Because of its inaccessibility, it is often peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect spot for some private sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and a picnic on the beach. After lunch, head over to the beach of Saline, or to Shell Beach, or to Anse du Gouverneur. A day of swimming, cruising, and snorkeling is best finished with a sunset cruise as you make your way back to Gustavia Harbor.
St Barths yacht charter overnight
There are plenty of 5-star resorts on the island, but to truly experience a Caribbean yacht charter, an overnight adventure spent at one of its bays is a definite must. You can start your overnight yacht charter with a visit to the famous St. Barths beaches, then followed by a cruise to the small, protected, private island 45 minutes away, which is Fourche. You can anchor on the bay for the night, then come morning, head to Scrub Island in Anguilla, which is a deserted white-sand island. Snorkel, swim, and cruise around the islands, before making your bay to St. Barths.
St Barths yacht charter for a week
A yacht has everything you need to have a luxury vacation. It has beautiful cabins, a wide deck where you can dine and lounge around as you cruise through the calm and beautiful waters of St. Barths, and of course, the VIP treatment from the staff and crew. This means that a week-long yacht charter is truly a luxurious experience you shouldn't miss. When you're in St. Barths, you have the beaches and the nearby islands as your getaway, providing you with one unique setting to another, each and every day. Here is a sample itinerary of a one-week liveaboard on board a luxury yacht charter:
Day 1: Gustavia Harbor
Cruise the harbor and drop anchor at the shipwreck of the motor yacht "Nonstop," which sank in a storm and is now home to soft corals and fishes. Cruise along the coast and enjoy drinks on the deck, before making your way to several beaches around the island. Head to Colombier, where you will safely moor the yacht for the night.
Day 2: Colombier
Enjoy the Colombier beach for a quiet day of relaxing, swimming, and snorkeling. Then head your way to the Ile de la Fourche, where you will anchor for the night.
Day 3: Ile de la Fourche
The cactus-covered hills of this secluded island are a unique ambiance from the chic boutiques and lavish lifestyle in Gustavia. Climb one of the island's five peaks, where you are rewarded with panoramic views of the Leeward Islands. If you're lucky and happen to be there during Spring, you can also spot humpback whales on the water. Have lunch on the boat, then get back to the beach, where you can snorkel or even spot sea turtles.
Day 4: Prickly Pear Cays and Seal Island Reefs
These spots are ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving, and if you don't fancy getting underwater, you can explore the beaches or simply lounge on the deck for drinks and snacks.
Day 5: Anguilla
Visit the island of Anguilla with its charming villages and serene harbor. Drop anchor at Road Town, where you can see master craftsmen making boats the traditional way. You can also visit Flat Cap Point, where you can snorkel under the cliffs of this marine sanctuary.
Day 6: Tintamarre
This island is just off St. Maarten's tip, and it's a secluded, uninhabited island. This means you can have the beach all to yourself, where you can snorkel to your heart's content and spend a lazy afternoon reading a book on a hammock.
Day 7: Back to St. Barths
We recommend spending a few hours on Tintamarre and visiting Marigot Bay, which is reminiscent of old south of France town, with its cafes and bistros. Buy some freshly baked bread and pastries, wine, cheese, or French perfume. Hop back on board and sail away back to St. Barths.
Wedding yacht charter in St Barths
Being home to world-class resorts, high-end shopping, and some of the Caribbean's best restaurants, it's no wonder a wedding yacht charter on the island will make your wedding dreams come true. Imagine a wedding weekend with your closest and friends and family, living the life, and experiencing a ceremony and party right on the deck, with the beautiful blue horizon and crystal clear waters as your perfect backdrop. Once your wedding is done and everyone has gotten off the yacht, head to a private, secluded beach or another island, to enjoy the beginning of the rest of your life together.

If you are a US national, a valid driver license or other government issued ID will be required.
Other than the additions we have mentioned, all essentials will be waiting for you once you embark onboard your St Barts yacht.

The biggest yachts to look out for at the 2024 St Barths Bucket
St Barths is the epicentre of superyacht racing during the Caribbean season, often with an impressive array of superyacht spectators in tow . In the final days leading up to the 2024 St Barths Bucket (21-24 March), BOAT rounds up the largest yachts seen pulling into Gustavia for the famed regatta, beginning with Lürssen's 138-metre Rising Sun ...
Builder: Lürssen Length: 138.01m
If not for her sheer size, Rising Sun will be easy to spot from the shores of Gustavia thanks to her distinct glass panels running across the two upper decks. The yacht was the last ever design of Jon Bannenberg and boasts 8,000 square metres of living space that includes a wine cellar, double-height cinema and a basketball court. Rising Sun was originally commissioned by American business magnate Larry Ellison , who later sold the yacht to media mogul David Geffen.
Builder: Kleven Length: 116.15m
One of the largest explorer yachts in the world , Multiverse (ex Ulysses ) was commissioned by New Zealand's richest man, Graeme Hart. She is equipped with a heli-hangar on the top deck for a Bell 429 helicopter, as well as a large swimming pool, cinema and spa for the ultimate guest experience. Inside, the yacht's massive 18-metre beam provides accommodation for an owner's party of up to 66.
Maltese Falcon
Builder: Perini Navi Length: 88m
Fresh out of a full-scale refit, Maltese Falcon is undoubtedly one of the most unique and technologically innovative sailing superyachts in the world – kitted out with radical unstayed masts made of "weapons-grade" carbon fibre, a FalconRig and computerised sail and mast control system. Be sure to look out for the yacht's eponymous emblem on its middle sail, which also appears in the form of a bronze sculpture next to the indoor cinema.
Builder: Admiral – The Italian Sea Group Length: 74.85m
Instantly recognisable, Kenshō' 's flowing lines and metallic green-blue hull took six years to create with design from Dutch firm Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture and Berlin-based archineers.berlin . The Admiral flagship was awarded the coveted Motor Yacht of the Year title at the 2023 BOAT International World Superyacht Awards and picked up another Neptune at the 2023 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards for Best Interior Design. Onboard highlights include a glass-fronted spa pool on the sundeck, a sunbed shaped in the image of a manta ray and a diesel-electric system based on five variable-speed generators that earned the yacht its Eco classification.
Builder: Heesen Yachts Length: 65m
The multiple award-winning Illusion (ex Galactica Star ) was delivered by Heesen in 2013, featuring the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) developed by Dutch naval architects Van Oossanen & Associates . Her streamlined appearance and generous guest amenities have made her a favourite on the charter scene, with Beyoncé and Jay Z among her list of returning clients . Illusion was also singled out by Dickie Bannenberg – who designed the yacht's interior – as one of his most memorable projects owing to its considerable onboard art collection.
Builder: Benetti Length: 60m
Another popular charter vessel, St David will once again appear on the hit reality TV show Below Deck , but this time with a new captain at the helm. The yacht is characterised by a classic Baroque theme with intricate marquetry made from satin woods, and a mosaic floor on the skylounge that draws inspiration from a "Tuscan palazzo". While St David is known to frequent high-profile events such as the Cannes Film Festival, she has also ventured to off-the-beaten-path locations including the Seychelles, Red Sea and Abu Dhabi.
Builder: Trinity Yachts Length: 58.83m
Launched in 2016, Imagine... is one of the largest yachts to be built in the United States . The tri-deck vessel was penned by long-time collaborator Geoff Van Aller , with both the hull and superstructure built from aluminium to AB classification. The yacht's primary social area is found on the sundeck, where guests can relax in the Jacuzzi, on multiple sun loungers or at the bar. Inside, Imagine... also has a bonus cabin that doubles as a massage room.
Builder: Feadship Length: 55.5m
This Feadship superyacht has sailed under a litany of names since her 2005 delivery, including Twizzile , Drizzle , Issana , Madsummer , Cynthia and most recently, Mary A . In 2018, her owner joined forces with American interior designer Claudette Bonville Associates to give Mary A an exhaustive makeover that included a top-to-bottom paint job, technical tweaks and a brand-new interior – all while carefully preserving the yacht's pedigree.
Builder: Benetti Length: 52m
Lady B (ex Latitude ) appears to be making the most of the winter cruising season, with back-and-forth trips between the British Virgin Islands and St Barths since early December 2023 according to BOATPro 's Global Fleet Tracker. Before that, the yacht spent the off-season touring fan-favourite destinations in the South Pacific, such as Fiji, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia. She is consistently ranked among the most popular charter vessels with amenities such as an outdoor cinema, a Jacuzzi and a recently updated dive centre.

10 Things To Do In St. Barts: Complete Guide To This Luxury Caribbean Island
W hen flying into St. Barts, travelers can’t help but marvel at the beautiful blue water decorated with big white yachts and the dozens of villas with little red roofs. A French-speaking Caribbean island, St. Barts (also known as St. Barths, Saint Barths, or Saint Barthélemy) is known for its calm waters, high-end shops, luxury hotels, and fabulous upscale restaurants. Often frequented by the rich and famous, there are simply so many things to do in St. Barts.
While St. Bart’s isn’t one of the cheapest Caribbean islands to fly to , it’s certainly one of the most beautiful. It’s small, less than 10 square miles, but it packs a lot of punch. Tourists can swim, snorkel or sunbathe on the beautiful beaches, hike to hidden tide pools, visit ruins and museums, and stroll through the streets of the capital, Gustavia. St. Barts is one of many Caribbean destinations said to be the hottest of 2023 . Here is our complete travel guide and list of things to see and do in St. Barts.
UPDATE: 2023/05/29 10:13 EST BY LANE VASQUEZ
More Things To Do And See In St. Barths
There's always been plenty to do in St. Barts, but this guide includes more things to do on any trip to this luxurious Caribbean island (plus travel tips to make the most of the vacation).
Top Things To Do in St. Barts
There are so many fun things to do and beautiful things to see in St. Barths.
Spend The Day At The Beach
The main attraction in St. Barts is the beaches. And there are so many to choose from! Just to name a few— Saline Beach is perfect for travelers looking for peace and quiet. Set away from the bars and restaurants, this spot is one of the island’s marquee beaches.
- Shell Beach is self-descriptive. It's covered in shells of different sizes and colors. While it is gorgeous to look at, Shell Beach can be painful to walk on, so beach shoes are recommended.
- St. Jean Beach is popular and lively. This beach is home to Nikki Beach and Eden Rock – St Barths. St. Jean Beach is perfect for travelers who like a party atmosphere; this is where the action is!
- Gouverneur Beach is great for privacy and perfect for picnics. The white sand is pristine, and there's excellent snorkeling by the rocks.

Visit Hidden Natural Tide Pools: Petit Cul-de-Sac
From the Petit Cul-de-Sac Beach, travelers can hike to natural tide pools. Located on the eastern end of the island, the beach is quiet, and the water is calm (perfect for snorkeling).
- There are no beachside restaurants , so either before or after the hike to the tide pools, plan a picnic on the beach and enjoy the bay view.
To reach the tide pools, walk down the beach to the right-hand side and start scaling the rocks. The rocks offer very uneven terrain; this hike is not easy. It usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes. But it's worth it to find the hidden natural tide pools.
This is a must-see attraction, as any photos online truly will not do it justice. The colors are mesmerizing.
Trek To Grand Fond Natural Pools
Another natural tide pool, Grand Fond Natural Pools, is a little easier to get to. It does require a short hike and a steep slope, but it’s also well worth it. The path to the Grand Fond Natural Pools starts near the parking lot by Grand Fond Beach.
When stepping onto the beach, head toward the cliffs on the right. Find the path, which will circumnavigate the cliffs.
- The trek takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes, and the views of the water below are spectacular.
When the natural pools come into sight, descend a steep rocky slope to reach the destination, Grand Fond Natural Pools.
Hit The Trails: Columbier Hike
The Columbier hike is a popular one! It ends at a private beach that’s only accessible by foot or by yacht. There are two ways to hike to Columbier Beach. The Upper Trail is steep and takes about 25 minutes to complete and offers breathtaking views.
The Lower Trail is easier, but hikers miss the dramatic scenery. Whatever route is chosen, the walk is beautiful.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and pack not just hiking gear, but beachgoing gear as well.
Decompress On Colombier Beach
While the Columbier hike is an attraction all its own, so is spending the day on Colombier Beach. Travelers can easily spend the entire day swimming, surfing, and picnicking before hiking back.
The water is gorgeous and clear, and beachgoers can watch boats pass by or hop into the water.
Snorkeling is a highlight hear thanks to all the ocean life; be prepared to snorkel!
Explore The Ruins Of Fort Karl
One of the most popular things to do in St. Barts, Fort Karl is located on a small hill overlooking Shell Beach. Built in 1789 to protect the town from external attacks, the fort fell into oblivion during the 19th century. In 2007, the Natural Reserve of Saint Barthelemy took over the site, and it's now officially protected.
There is not much left of the fort, but the views from Fort Karl that look out over Gustavia and the harbor are the highlight.
Take In The Gustavia Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is near Fort Karl and a worthwhile pit stop of its own. The Lighthouse was built in 1961 and is still operating today, and the views from the lighthouse are breathtaking (a directory on-site shows visitors which islands are which). The Lighthouse proves that some of the best things to do on St. Barths involve the gorgeous vistas!
- Some visitors claim the views are better from Gustavia Lighthouse than those from Fort Karl.
Travelers will need to drive to Gustavia Lighthouse, but the walk from the street (where visitors can park) is short.
Experience The Wall House Museum
This small stone building is home to a collection of artifacts revealing facts about St. Bart’s history. The building itself is historic too, dating back to the Swedish period (1785-1878). Expect to find farming tools, furniture, oil lamps, fishing boats, a library, and a brick-made bread oven.
Located in Gustavia, the Wall House Museum doesn’t take too long to explore (less than an hour), but it does provide visitors with a pretty cool peek into St. Bart’s past.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM; Wednesdays, 2 PM to 7 PM; Saturday, 9:30 AM to 1 PM; Sunday, closed.
- Cost: Free!
Stroll Through The Capital Of St. Barts: Gustavia
Stroll the beautiful streets of St. Barts' capital, Gustavia. Pop in and out of art galleries and designer shops, like Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and Gaultier. There are also quite a few spots to grab beachwear and accessories. The streets are colorful, with lots of palm trees and potted plants. And nobody’s in a rush.
When it's time to give those legs a break, pop into one of St. Barts' many fine eateries. Enjoy a delicious meal and a glass of bubbly at a waterside café while keeping an eye out for famous faces.
Watch The Sunset In St. Barts
St. Barts has so many stunning spots to watch the sunset, but perhaps the best vantage point is from Hotel Christopher . Whether travelers are hotel guests or not, the bar is open. Grab a cocktail and watch the sun slip out of sight.
The drink menu is designed by Haydee Otero, an artist from Nice, and features eight signature cocktails inspired by eight magical cities. A sunset nightcap at Hotel Christopher is the perfect way to celebrate the end of a fantastic day in St. Barts.
Best Time To Go To St. Barts
With warm tropical weather year-round (low-70s to low-90s), there’s no wrong time to go to St. Barts. But, depending on the type of vacation tourists are looking for, there are a few factors to consider.
November through January is peak tourist season, which means higher prices on flights and accommodations. Prices jump again in March and April due to spring break, Easter, and St. Barts Bucket Regatta. May and June are still lively, but prices tend to drop slightly.
It’s also important to note that November through April is the drier season, and the temperatures are mild. Hurricane season starts in June and runs through November. For tourists not worried about an occasional storm, this is a great time to see a less crowded and more affordable St. Barts.
To sum it up, St. Barts is one of the many islands offering a sunny escape to explore the Caribbean , no matter what time of year.

Best Ways To Get Around St. Barts
Renting a car in St. Barts is the best way to get around. It’s easy to navigate the small island; travelers can circle St. Barts in about an hour. Since there’s no public transportation system in St. Barts, alternatives to a car are motorbikes and bicycles.
Taxis are also available but are not easy to come by and can be very expensive.
Where To Eat In St. Barts
Dine out in St. Barts and enjoy great dishes with amazing views.
Maya’s philosophy is freshness. Bread is baked overnight, the juice is squeezed every morning, and the menu changes based on which fresh fish was caught that day. Perfect to dine in or take to go, Maya’s is a delicious breakfast option in St. Barts.
- Address: Les Galeries du Commerce, St. Jean, Saint Barthelemy
- Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM. Monday, closed.
- Recommended: the delicious pastries are a perfect breakfast to devour on the beach.
Nikki Beach Club
Perfect for a weekend brunch, this popular spot is located on Saint-Jean Beach and is a famous beach club with a festive, glamorous atmosphere and delicious food. Often frequented by celebrities, Nikki Beach offers fresh Caribbean dishes, uninterrupted ocean views, and fun music, which gets more up-tempo as the day goes on.
- Address: W537+2WQ, Gustavia 97133, St. Barthélemy
- Hours: Daily, 11 AM to 7 PM
- Recommended: Sushi and a Peach Spritz
Featuring French-Mediterranean cuisine, Amis is a gourmet restaurant on the water that’s perfect for a celebration. Chic and modern, customers are sure to enjoy a long and delicious leisurely dinner.
- Address: Baie de Grand Cul de Sac 97133, Saint-Barthélemy
- Hours: Daily, 7 AM to 11 PM

“Zefira, a magnificent, lean aluminium and carbon 50 metre yacht. A project in which, together with our designers, we put our heart”
Experienced european owners brought together a top team of Dubois, Fitzroy and Tessier to produce their dream yacht: sleek, sophisticated and impressive under sail.
The push for a single level between bridge, saloon and cockpit, combined with ultra-sleek aesthetics, nudged the Dubois design team into new territory. “To get good visibility from the helmstations we had to work hard to lower the accommodation as much as possible, while keeping an open feeling” adds McKeon.
The interior, styled and drawn by Remi Tessier , features a combination of bleached timbers and white leather which results in clean modern lines and provides bright comfortable living areas.

Fitzroy Yachts Zefira
The sea trial was pubblished on Superyacht 31 – spring 2012
Zefira S/Y is one of those few yachts that became an attraction for yacht enthusiasts and professionals well before she hit the water.
This yacht was designed and built with the experience and passion for sailing boats her owners demonstrated from the start as well as a naval engineering and a project design team from Ed Dubois studio for the exterior, while Remi Tessier was responsible for all the interiors. Zefira was built in a yard which enjoys a worldwide reputation for the construction of large sailing yachts.
With such an opening introduction one can expect nothing less than something absolutely extraordinary, where the term used must be read in its best meaning to underscore something that has really nothing of the ordinary. We had the pleasure of talking with the owners who are currently sailing on their yacht after they had carried out important work in the design phase with the project team to define specific guidelines and details.
Beyond the highly involving dialogue which ensued with flowing examples of their own sailing experience and passion, we managed to grasp and better understand the idea behind the project which began with a seven metre sloop and gradually developed in the course of the following 40 years of which many were spent at sea. Putting words to emotion and feelings is never easy to do and more so when they are other people’s. In this case however everything was a lot easier for us thanks to our interviewee’s eloquent communicative capability.
The first point our attention was brought to was that Zefira is the largest sailing y
acht ever designed by Dubois with no fly bridge and built by Fitzroy Yachts in New Zealand. This may strike our readers as a mere detail, but it is in fact one of the principal fundamentals outlining this project because it translates into flowing external lines and a unique profile when observed sideways on.
The choice of doing without a fly bridge is somewhat unusual since up until recently a “fly” had been widely accepted as a run of the mill thing to have on a sailing yacht beyond a given size, but which nevertheless, Zefira is proud to do without giving cause for, among others , the following comment volunteered by some of the designers not involved in the project: “The world of sailing now stands divided between before Zefira and after Zefira”.
Naturally enough this comment in particular is aimed at the yachts’ profile, which brings to a standstill what had become a consolidated practice on yachts this size. Aesthetics is principally why the owners decided to do without the fly option as well as for practical reasons they eloquently highlighted: without one on a 50 metre sailing boat there’s a complete total view of both what lies ahead up to the horizon and of the sail plan.
Moreover using a higher windswept and sun scorched horizontal plane rather than the main deck itself is by its very nature something destined to be exploited only sporadically and quite correctly in their opinion doesn’t justify having one.
The thought behind the whole project as the requests submitted to both designers and yard indicated, were to enjoy a pure thorough bred for its performing lines and technical contents, capable of offering the sort of space and commodities expected when cruising extensively in all weather conditions. At a first glance the goal seems to have been easily achieved, but if we then go into an in-depth analysis, the comments volunteered by project designers earlier seems surely appropriate. The husband and wife team (the owners) followed up on construction work from the initial stages to completion, working through the more important phases in close contact with the professional teams involved.
According to the owners the best part was witnessing the step by step progress of such an enterprise. We can understand the reasons why and genuinely hope that in the future such desire will generate the construction of other such extraordinary ships.
Several International prizes for design and technical contents have been awarded to Zefira. Dubois Naval Architects’ studio is proud of the recognitions bestowed since this is the largest sailing yacht project without a “fly” they’ve ever made so far and also for the passion and creativity expressed time and time again by the owners who incidentally had been the previous owners of another Dubois project built by Alloy Yachts: Kokomo of London (now Nubero Blau). The challenge taken on by the studio was one that meant blending the huge experience acquired by the owners to innovative aesthetics, with a hull capable of delivering the sea-keeping qualities and performance requested.
The owners wished for a boat that could be another home from home: spacious, with a project design that looked ahead into the future. For this reason the design team was invited by the owners to pay them a visit and to take a look at their house to better understand what they wanted.
The choice of the yard was principally dictated by delivery times even if Fitzroy Yachts had been chosen also in function of preceding work carried out from Dubois projects.
Among some of the clever solutions highlighted by the owners in the course of our conversation we wish to mention the ease in steering they experienced and handling the yacht, of course aided by electronics and important data communication systems capable of monitoring and performing many of the required manoeuvres without hindering visibility.
The rig which is capable of carrying up to 3,000 square metres of canvass is per se a very interesting technical achievement inasmuch as it sports a 63.50 metre mast and can still be defined as being “light”. Obviously there’s a carbon fibre mast and boom, as well as fibre stays that have been purposely chosen to reduce weight high above the waterline which translates into less draught and better performance in breezes.
All of the choices adopted for Zefira mean she is very competitive on the race track even against racers and in spite of the many commodities she carries with her. As for the interiors and much of the work put in by Remi Tessier designer and the co-owner they enhanced an undoubted feeling of both tranquillity and elegance.
Gauged chromatic variety meets the discerning eye as it takes in lighter and darker shades of handcrafted woodwork placed without ever causing excessive contrast, followed by polished steel elements and ad hoc lighting which enhances relaxation throughout every area. The space chosen to house each piece of furniture, is fruit of careful study that has contributed into ensuring an uncompromised degree of comfort in the owners’ suite which is situated in the stern and in each of the three guest cabins as well.
One is a twin while the other two are double each one of them sports its own private bathroom. The crew quarters are situated in the bow area and with space for a lounge and crew mess room, which translates into staff’s quality living standards on board. The yacht’s convivial areas are also well distributed and large to ensure adequate privacy to guests and owners alike.
The electronics and navigation aids installed are the most modern on the market, with data and alarm control systems and displays in each of the two external command /control stations as well as on the bridge deck as can be expected on a state of the art ship such as this. Dictated by reasons of space we have to limit our text to that which has so far been described even when the meeting with Zefira’s owners was so stimulating we were prompted to go further.
Since both of them described Zefira as being a point of arrival but of departure too, we wish them to continue their research work in the yachting field and to offer us, who knows what other input and ideas in the future. For further information please contact: Angelo Colombo

VIVA: The $250 Million Superyacht Of UFC Owner Frank Fertitta III
From his current position as CEO of Station Casinos to how he – alongside brother Lorenzo and childhood friend Dana White – transformed the UFC into a multi-billion-dollar promotion , there’s virtually endless information about how Frank Fertitta III made his fortune. How he chooses to spend said fortune, however, is a little more mysterious (at least for the fun stuff). One such indulgence we know the elder Fertitta brother has treated himself to is the ultra-luxurious Feadship-built superyacht known as Viva, which comes with an eye-watering price tag of US$175 million / AU$252 million.
Conceptualised by Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture in collaboration with De Voogt Naval Architects, while also showcasing interiors accomplished by Peter Marino, Viva was only completed in the Netherlands last year and delivered shortly thereafter.

Back to the matter of Viva, it boasts an overall length of 308 feet / 94 metres with a 13.6-metre beam and gross tonnage of 2,999 – making it the 85th largest superyacht in the entire world; seventh largest ever constructed by Feadship – and can comfortably accommodate 14 guests across seven cabins alongside a capable crew of 18.
Viva has been called the “most environmentally-friendly luxury vessel of its kind” due to it featuring a hybrid propulsion system that allows the boat to cruise using diesel-electric power, as well as a waste treatment plant and heat recovering systems.

The annual running cost of this enviable billionaire’s toy? Over US$17.5 million / AU$25 million.
Viva was last sighted en route to Martha’s Vineyard by way of Nantucket — but you can check it out for yourself via the Superyacht Times’ video below.

$175 million superyacht viva moored off nantucket.
Jason Graziadei • Jul 06, 2022
If you’ve arrived or departed from the island by boat over the past few days, you couldn’t have missed the gargantuan visitor lurking just offshore.
The 308-foot superyacht Viva was moored off Nantucket earlier this week, just outside the jetties, as the massive vessel was too large to navigate into the harbor. It departed for Martha's Vineyard Wednesday night.
The $175 million Viva, which was built by Feadship in the Netherlands and completed just last year, features its own helicopter which has been spotted circling around the island this week. It is the 85th largest superyacht in the world, and is believed to be owned by billionaire Frank Fertitta III , the CEO of Station Casinos in Las Vegas and founder of Zuffa LLC, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The yacht’s helicopter sports the tail number N702FF, which was believed to have been chosen for Fertitta’s initials.
"That's definitely one of the biggest vessels I've seen around Nantucket in my 20 years here," Harbormaster Sheila Lucey said on Wednesday.
The yacht has been called the “most environmental-friendly luxury vessel of its kind” as it features a hybrid propulsion system that allows the boat to travel at 12 knots under diesel-electric power, as well as a waste treatment plant and heat recovering systems on board. Its annual running costs are reported to be in excess of $17.5 million .
Viva has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Among its many amenities are a cinema, a beauty salon, a gym, and, of course, a helipad on the upper deck.
Following its construction in the Dutch shipyard, the massive yacht had to squeeze through narrow canals to make it out to sea, as documented in these photos shared by CNN last year.

Why were so many metro stations in Moscow renamed?
Okhotny Ryad station in Soviet times and today.
The Moscow metro system has 275 stations, and 28 of them have been renamed at some point or other—and several times in some cases. Most of these are the oldest stations, which opened in 1935.
The politics of place names
The first station to change its name was Ulitsa Kominterna (Comintern Street). The Comintern was an international communist organization that ceased to exist in 1943, and after the war Moscow authorities decided to call the street named after it something else. In 1946, the station was renamed Kalininskaya. Then for several days in 1990, the station was called Vozdvizhenka, before eventually settling on Aleksandrovsky Sad, which is what it is called today.
The banner on the entraince reads: "Kalininskaya station." Now it's Alexandrovsky Sad.
Until 1957, Kropotkinskaya station was called Dvorets Sovetov ( Palace of Soviets ). There were plans to build a monumental Stalinist high-rise on the site of the nearby Cathedral of Christ the Saviour , which had been demolished. However, the project never got off the ground, and after Stalin's death the station was named after Kropotkinskaya Street, which passes above it.
Dvorets Sovetov station, 1935. Letters on the entrance: "Metro after Kaganovich."
Of course, politics was the main reason for changing station names. Initially, the Moscow Metro itself was named after Lazar Kaganovich, Joseph Stalin’s right-hand man. Kaganovich supervised the construction of the first metro line and was in charge of drawing up a master plan for reconstructing Moscow as the "capital of the proletariat."
In 1955, under Nikita Khrushchev's rule and during the denunciation of Stalin's personality cult, the Moscow Metro was named in honor of Vladimir Lenin.
Kropotkinskaya station, our days. Letters on the entrance: "Metropolitan after Lenin."
New Metro stations that have been opened since the collapse of the Soviet Union simply say "Moscow Metro," although the metro's affiliation with Vladimir Lenin has never officially been dropped.
Zyablikovo station. On the entrance, there are no more signs that the metro is named after Lenin.
Stations that bore the names of Stalin's associates were also renamed under Khrushchev. Additionally, some stations were named after a neighborhood or street and if these underwent name changes, the stations themselves had to be renamed as well.
Until 1961 the Moscow Metro had a Stalinskaya station that was adorned by a five-meter statue of the supreme leader. It is now called Semyonovskaya station.
Left: Stalinskaya station. Right: Now it's Semyonovskaya.
The biggest wholesale renaming of stations took place in 1990, when Moscow’s government decided to get rid of Soviet names. Overnight, 11 metro stations named after revolutionaries were given new names. Shcherbakovskaya became Alekseyevskaya, Gorkovskaya became Tverskaya, Ploshchad Nogina became Kitay-Gorod and Kirovskaya turned into Chistye Prudy. This seriously confused passengers, to put it mildly, and some older Muscovites still call Lubyanka station Dzerzhinskaya for old times' sake.
At the same time, certain stations have held onto their Soviet names. Marksistskaya and Kropotkinskaya, for instance, although there were plans to rename them too at one point.
"I still sometimes mix up Teatralnaya and Tverskaya stations,” one Moscow resident recalls .
“Both have been renamed and both start with a ‘T.’ Vykhino still grates on the ear and, when in 1991 on the last day of my final year at school, we went to Kitay-Gorod to go on the river cruise boats, my classmates couldn’t believe that a station with that name existed."
The city government submitted a station name change for public discussion for the first time in 2015. The station in question was Voykovskaya, whose name derives from the revolutionary figure Pyotr Voykov. In the end, city residents voted against the name change, evidently not out of any affection for Voykov personally, but mainly because that was the name they were used to.
What stations changed their name most frequently?
Some stations have changed names three times. Apart from the above-mentioned Aleksandrovsky Sad (Ulitsa Kominterna->Kalininskaya->Vozdvizhenka->Aleksandrovsky Sad), a similar fate befell Partizanskaya station in the east of Moscow. Opened in 1944, it initially bore the ridiculously long name Izmaylovsky PKiO im. Stalina (Izmaylovsky Park of Culture and Rest Named After Stalin). In 1947, the station was renamed and simplified for convenience to Izmaylovskaya. Then in 1963 it was renamed yet again—this time to Izmaylovsky Park, having "donated" its previous name to the next station on the line. And in 2005 it was rechristened Partizanskaya to mark the 60th anniversary of victory in World War II.
Partizanskaya metro station, nowadays.
Another interesting story involves Alekseyevskaya metro station. This name was originally proposed for the station, which opened in 1958, since a village with this name had been located here. It was then decided to call the station Shcherbakovskaya in honor of Aleksandr Shcherbakov, a politician who had been an associate of Stalin. Nikita Khrushchev had strained relations with Shcherbakov, however, and when he got word of it literally a few days before the station opening the builders had to hastily change all the signs. It ended up with the concise and politically correct name of Mir (Peace).
The name Shcherbakovskaya was restored in 1966 after Khrushchev's fall from power. It then became Alekseyevskaya in 1990.
Alekseyevskaya metro station.
But the station that holds the record for the most name changes is Okhotny Ryad, which opened in 1935 on the site of a cluster of market shops. When the metro system was renamed in honor of Lenin in 1955, this station was renamed after Kaganovich by way of compensation. The name lasted just two years though because in 1957 Kaganovich fell out of favor with Khrushchev, and the previous name was returned. But in 1961 it was rechristened yet again, this time in honor of Prospekt Marksa, which had just been built nearby.
Okhotny Ryad station in 1954 and Prospekt Marksa in 1986.
In 1990, two historical street names—Teatralny Proyezd and Mokhovaya Street—were revived to replace Prospekt Marksa, and the station once again became Okhotny Ryad.

Billionaire’s parking lot: cowboys owner jerry jones, p diddy and bernie ecclestone all moor their luxury yachts off the coast of st. barts as the annual bacchanal of celebrities parading their wealth on vacation begins. the island is a fifty minute flight from epstein island.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, P Diddy and Bernie Ecclestone have all moored their luxury yachts off the coast of St. Barts as the annual bacchanal of celebrities parading their wealth on vacation sets in.
The billionaire’s parking lot off the coast of the Caribbean island, known for its white sand beaches and designer shopping, was looking a little less crowded this year without the traditional Russian oligarch superyachts, but still saw a healthy list of notable guests.
Pictures from the Caribbean paradise showed Ecclestone in his yacht ‘Force Blue,’ Diddy in his vessel Victorious and Galaxy housing Dave Hagewood sitting nearby one another.
Meanwhile, snaps from the sunny coastline saw Ernesto Bertarelli in his yacht Vava, Rising Sun the seaworthy vacation home of David Geffen and Jones in the Bravo Eugenia, named after his wife.
Many of the yachts cost millions and boast helicopter decks, gyms, pools and other luxuries fit for the elite occupants enjoying the high life on the high seas over the holiday period.
Bravo Eugenia: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones
Back in 2019, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones purchased the 357 foot Bravo Eugenia from Dutch firm Oceanco.
Jones made news with the yacht when he made the NFL draft picks for the Cowboys on board the vessel back in 2020. The yacht is named in honor of his wife Eugenia Jones.
The team owner spent an estimated $225 million to $250 million and there’s a yearly upkeep cost of about $15 million to $20 million, according to Boatsafe .
The vessel uses a unique green design that makes it more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly and its top speed is around 18 knots.
The superyacht has a helipad for bringing guests on board, seven cabins capable of accommodating 14 guests for overnight stays, four decks worth of space and accommodates 30 crew members and quarters to house them.
It also comes equipped with a gym, swimming pool/plunge pool, sauna and a steam room, massage room, rain shower, beach club and Teppanyaki bar. A large garage also houses jet skis and tubes.
Force Blue: Former Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone
Bernie Ecclestone, gifted himself the 207 feet Force Blue yacht from his former partner Flavio Briatore.
The former F1 boss bought Briatore’s $25 million yacht for $9 million after it had been seized by police and auctioned, according to nautica .
The impressive 63-meter yacht was up for auction, after Briatore, who bought it in 2002 failed to pay about $4 million in VAT on the boat between 2006 and 2010, as well as $960,000 in fuel taxes.
The vessel comes with a fully equipped spa center, a gym, lounging and sunbathing areas, movie theatre and can accommodate up to 12 guests.
