• GENERAL: The Seawind 1600 Passagemaker is built to the highest standards of a luxury world-class yacht of this size and type. Only the highest quality materials & equipment are used throughout, with special care and attention to delivering first class finishes and solutions for serious cruisers.

The overall aim is for a level of construction, workmanship, equipment, fitout and style that surpasses any other comparable 50′ catamaran available in the market at this price range.

Designed by world renowned Designers Reichel Pugh and backed by the 30+ year success of Seawind Catamarans in building high quality, cruising, performance catamarans, the 1600 takes its place as one of the world’s best performing high end luxury catamarans.

Finish: Full female moulded hulls & decks, exterior gelcoat finish with moulded-in non-slip surface on deck areas.

Hull & Deck Laminate: Vinyl Ester (Modified epoxy) resin infused laminate throughout. Composite PVC sandwich construction to Designer Reichel Pugh specifications. Engineering by Reichel Pugh to CE & ABYS Standards. Extensive carbon & Kevlar aramid reinforcements in specified areas. Bulkheads in high density PVC cored composite panels with vinyl ester resins. Chainplates and high load areas in carbon.

• Electric anchor winch with gypsy and capstan. Located under locker to give clean deck. Primary anchor is 35 kg galvanized Delta type with 230’ (70mtrs) x 3/8” (10mm) short link galvanized chain and swivel. Self stowing bridle also thru anchor roller.
• Primary anchor is stored in a specially designed anchor roller under the forward beam.
• Anchor winch has foot switch at the winch with up/down control at the helm station.
• 4 x PVC Inflatable fenders with spliced line.

FLOW es un catamarán de lujo de 16 metros de eslora lanzado por el astillero Lagoon en 2017. Experimente el placer de navegar en el majestuoso Lagoon 52 Grand Luxe. Su eslora y manga hacen de FLOW una confortable villa flotante, dividida en tres secciones que hacen de la navegación y el estar a bordo un regalo para los cinco sentidos.

FLOW tiene su puerto base en Ibiza y está disponible para chárter durante todo el año en las Islas Baleares. Las cuatro islas de Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza y Formentera, se encuentran a pocos kilómetros de la costa española en una zona bendecida por un clima soleado constante, cada una con la promesa de unas vacaciones diferentes.

ALOJAMIENTO Y DISTRIBUCION

La distribucion interior de FLOW puede alojar cómodamente hasta 8 huéspedes durante la noche en 4 elegantes camarotes dobles, todos con camas tamaño queen, baños completos y aire acondicionado independiente. Los suelos de los baños están terminados en madera de teca. Materiales nobles y lujosos, con tonos suaves, se han utilizado en todo el yate para lograr la armonía del interior. FLOW tiene una decoración elegante y de buen gusto, con ricos suelos de madera oscura, cálida carpintería de roble, techo en crema y muebles suaves en tonos beige. Los detalles, como los electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, las encimeras de cerámica y la sutil iluminación cenital, crean un relajante ambiente contemporáneo. El salón tiene una sensación espaciosa y aireada, con un cómodo lounge en el lado de babor, con mesa de café, cocina de estilo abierto a estribor y estación de navegación hacia adelante. Las ventanas circundantes permiten una gran cantidad de luz natural a la vez que brindan vistas inigualables.

El espacio, la habitabilidad, el confort, la estabilidad, la elegancia y la seguridad de FLOW asi como el acabado de las instalaciones, prometen una experiencia inolvidable. Adyacente al salón está la carlinga generosa, completa con sombra, asientos, bar, solarium en popa y comedor al aire libre. Más a popa, los grandes travesaños dobles permiten un acceso al agua sin esfuerzo, perfecto para aprovechar al máximo los juguetes marinos que se ofrecen. Si prefiere tomar el sol, proa cuenta con dos grandes trampolines de seguridad. Sobre la cubierta principal, el FLOW ofrece un amplio flybridge, con sombrillas y asientos adicionales, un lugar fabuloso para disfrutar de una fascinante puesta de sol.

PERFORMANCE

Impulsado por dos motores Yanmar de 80 cv, FLOW tiene una velocidad de crucero de 8 nudos y puede alcanzar una velocidad máxima de 10 nudos.

EQUIPAMIENTO

FLOW viene equipado con equipo de audio de alta fidelidad Bose con Bluetooth, televisores con Chromecast en el salón y suites de popa, máquina de hielo, purificador de agua, generador, paneles solares, lavadora-secadora, teléfono satelital y todos los elementos de seguridad necesarios para dar la vuelta al mundo.

The New Befoil 16 Sport Catamaran Finally Unveiled

Do you remember the Voilavion ? Befoil 16 came from this R & D project, imagined by Benjamin Magnard, aiming to create a hydrofoil boat equipped with a tilting mast, which flew from its first sea trials.

Specifications were drawn up in collaboration with VPLP, a naval architecture firm whose reputation is well established, to create a hydrofoil catamaran that is easy to use and accessible to all: the Befoil 16. It is a 16-foot hydrofoil catamaran designed for lovers of new sensations and sailing schools, which is easy to handle, and which, thanks to its large surface area and stability, allows safe navigation over water.

The new Befoil 16 Sport

Made in Europe and assembled on the premises in Lorient, the Befoil 16 Sport is a high-quality construction thanks to the infusion manufacturing process.

This sportier version was launched at the end of 2020. The 16 Sport is lighter, stiffer and more canvasy, for performance on the water. Intended for private individuals and sailing schools, this hydrofoil catamaran adapts to all sailing programmes, to learn how to fly on the water easily and to fill up with sensations.

With its self-regulating T-foils and its 2 load-bearing rudders and glass/epoxy hulls, the Befoil 16 Sport is the latest addition to the Befoil series. In trapeze sport mode, or in comfort mode with theoptional ladders, the 16 Sport provides a great feeling of speed. The boat takes off from 8 knots and can reach up to 20 knots.

Benjamin Magnard, president of Befoil adds: “ Everyone dreams of flying on water! Thanks to the Befoil 16 Sport, all flying boat enthusiasts – whatever their level – can take off as soon as the weather is light, combining pleasure and speed! “.

The QUATTRO 16 is a twin trapeze high performance racing cat that has proven faster than the Hobie 16 or Dart 18. The hulls are rounded V built using the "stitch and glue" plywood technique which results in stiff, light-weight hulls (two adults can carry a fully rigged Quattro up the beach).

Small skegs help tacking and pointing and protect the hull bottoms when beaching. A forward beam is used to stiffen the forestay. Like the PIXIE , the QUATTRO 16 is sold by the prestigious Wooden Boat magazine, the only catamaran plans in their portfolio.

Qué es y cómo navegar con un catamarán

Los catamaranes se han ido popularizando durante los últimos años, cobrando cada vez mayor protagonismo en la navegación vacacional. De hecho, a nivel particular, son muchos los armadores que se decantan por los multicascos a la hora de adquirir una embarcación.

Básicamente, un catamarán es un barco deportivo de vela o motor, compuesto por dos cascos alargados y estrechos que se hallan unidos por una plataforma. No disponen de lastre, por lo que son un tipo de embarcación más ligera que los monocascos, además de ser más estables y seguras. Aunque los catamaranes pueden ser de motor y de vela, lo más habitual es que dispongan de un motor en cada casco.

Principales diferencias de navegación entre un catamarán y un velero

Pese a contar con dos cascos y una estructura central, los catamaranes fabricados hace décadas no terminaban de aprovechar el espacio interior como cabría esperar, aspecto que ha variado mucho en los últimos tiempos, con catamaranes de 40 pies que compiten en habitabilidad y confort con veleros de hasta 60 pies. Y es que ambos cascos pueden albergar amplias cabinas con baño, y los salones llegan a tener una amplitud considerable.

Comparar las características de navegación entre un catamarán y un velero resulta muy recurrente en nuestros tiempos, sobre todo a la hora de decidir qué tipo de embarcación comprar o alquilar. Lo cierto es que las diferencias entre ambas embarcaciones son notables, pero lo más apropiado es señalar las particularidades de cada una, puesto que afirmar que una es mejor que otra sería algo muy subjetivo, ya que depende de las preferencias y necesidades de cada navegante.

Un aspecto significativo de un catamarán es la ausencia total de escora, al contrario de los veleros que, en menor o mayor ángulo, siempre están inclinados en función de la dirección del viento. Esta mayor estabilidad del catamarán supone un aumento considerable de las seguridad de los pasajeros, además de ofrecer una navegación mucho más relajada, puesto que en los veleros la musculatura casi siempre está activa para mantener la estabilidad. Por tanto, los catamaranes son más recomendables para llevar a bordo invitados sin muchos conocimientos de navegación.

Asimismo, el catamarán es más rápido con igual eslora, alcanzando un 20 % más de velocidad que un barco velero. De hecho, los multicascos poseen todos los récords de velocidad en las regatas, superando los 50 nudos, en el caso de los catamaranes de competición. No obstante, a diferencia de los veleros, los multicascos no consiguen navegar en virajes de boyas de más de 60 grados, donde la velocidad cae drásticamente.

Sin duda, existen catamaranes con diseños espectaculares, de orzas abatibles que brindan excelentes derivas, pero, en este sentido, es muy raro que puedan acercarse a las prestaciones de un velero con un diseño, simplemente, convencional. Esta cualidad lo sitúa en desventaja respecto a los veleros a la hora de emprender travesías regulares.

La maniobrabilidad que ofrece en puerto un catamarán también es digna de mención. Una vez que el tripulante se familiariza con su manejo, resulta mucho más sencillo moverlo en espacios estrechos, si lo comparamos con un velero. Ni tan siquiera un velero que incorpore hélice en la proa, llega a tener la capacidad de maniobra de los catamaranes con dos motores.

Tipos de embarcaciones de recreo

• Velero: Como su nombre lo indica, estas embarcaciones se mueven gracias a sus velas y la fuerza del viento.
• Catamarán: Famoso por tener dos cascos y ser muy veloz. Se usa para ocio y deportes.
• Bote: Embarcación pequeña para pocos pasajeros. Funcionan con remos, a vela o a motor.
• Moto acuática: Usan hélice interna y se propulsan por turbina. calificadas recientemente como la embarcación de motor más ecológica.

¿Qué es un yate?

Muchos pensamos que el yate es un tipo de barco, sin embargo, el yate es cualquier embarcación de recreo . Por lo tanto, un bote, un catamarán y un velero son considerados yates. Un yate no transporta carga ni personas, ni ejecuta ningún tipo de trabajo, solo se usa para el entretenimiento. No es posible señalar las partes de un yate ya que el tipo de barco puede variar.

Megayate : Son embarcaciones de gran tamaño que llegan a medir hasta 180 metros desde la proa hasta la popa. Se usan para mover grandes grupos de personas y son propulsados a motor.  El Azzam es un megayate que cuenta con 17 suites y con 500 metros cuadrados e instalaciones como albercas, helipuertos y equipo anti paparazzi .

Velero : Como su nombre lo indica, usan sus velas para propulsarse según la dirección del viento. Los veleros son preferidos para las personas que buscan una experiencia de navegación auténtica.

Velero con motor: Combinan la propulsión de las velas con los motores. Llegan a ser tan grandes y a tener las mismas comodidades que un yate a motor, pero teniendo la alternativa de izar las velas y abrir las ventanas.

Catamarán: Básicamente son veleros de dos cascos. Tienen mayor estabilidad que un barco de un solo casco y mayor espacio en la cubierta.Suelen tener trampolines o redes para recostarse.

Velero Goleta: Son barcos propulsados a vela con dos o más mástiles. Como referencia podemos decir que la goleta es una réplica de un antiguo barco pirata, largo y con muchas velas. Da la sensación de estar en una película de corsarios del viejo mundo.

Ya sabemos que es un yate, pero ¿qué es un catamarán?

El catamarán es una embarcación de recreo que se distingue por tener dos cascos unidos por una estructura. Los catamaranes pueden ser usados para ocio, transporte o para deporte. Puede ser propulsado a vela y/o a motor. 

Al tener dos cascos, no necesita lastre (o el peso que lo ayuda a mantenerse en equilibrio) y tiene menor resistencia al agua y al viento y eso lo convierte en una embarcación muy rápida y adecuada para el deporte. Un catamarán es extremadamente estable y es muy poco probable que se vuelque, además de que es muy poco común sufrir mareos en este tipo de embarcaciones.

Su diseño ha servido como inspiración para el desarrollo de modelos como la Hidroala y el Wave-Piercing . Los barcos con 3 cascos son conocidos como trimaránes.

Crossbeam: Barra transversal que sirve para unir los dos cascos y también para sostener el trampolín.

Trampolín: Llamado red por error, es una superficie flexible que forma parte de la cubierta. En un catamarán como el Gypse, la red sirve para relajarse y tomar el sol. El material y el tipo de nudo con el que se teje el trampolín varía según el propósito del catamarán.

Cubierta: Se conoce como cubierta a todas las superficies o suelos de un barco. Ya que un barco puede tener varios pisos, la cubierta principal es la de mayor extensión. 

Salón: Es la cabina del catamarán y tiene como función proteger a los pasajeros del clima. Dentro de la cabina del Gypse podemos encontrar una pequeña cocina con barra, una sala, mesa y escaleras a cada lado que llevan hacia los baños y a los camarotes. En la parte exterior techada hay una sala y espacio para sentarse.

Mástil: Es el palo principal que tiene como función sostener las velas.

Botavara: Un palo horizontal que se encuentra anclado al mástil. Sirve para sostener y guiar la vela mayor.

Vela mayor: La vela principal del barco.

Foque: Se le conoce como foque a todas las velas triangulares que sirven para mejorar el desempeño de la vela principal.
