Often described as an ideal family trailer sailer this boat offers lively performance under sail, is light to tow behind a car and boasts oodles of space below deck.  Not only does it boast a full 1.72m (5’8″) of standing headroom and a cavernous rear double berth, the UK bound S22s come with a full separate heads compartment as standard. All of this with an affordable price tag.

Available as a light weight swing keel version or with a fixed or lifting T-bulb keel these boats can be customised to suit your sailing preferences. A variety of sail options are available for every sailor’s needs from undemanding cruising to a bigger square top rig for full-on performance. Customers can also opt for a furling gennaker flown from a bespoke bowsprit platform. The S22 has a light weight rig, a large large open cockpit and smart deck layout with all lines leading aft. UK bound boats come with a roller reefing system on a solid stay and a self tacking jib for easy handling. Shorthanded sailers who regularly drop their masts can opt for class leading mast lifting gear which makes the process effortless and almost risk-free.

These boats come with an array of comfort options too ranging from flexi-teak deck coverings to sprayhoods and even cockpit enclosures.

Down below the large windows and hatches allow plenty of light to fill the spacious cabin. Those hankering for even better views from the cabin can opt for up to 6 extra windows.  This 22′ boat offers class leading standing headroom so there is plenty of room to move around in the standing and galley area.  UK boats come with a ‘comfort pack’ including a range of comfort additions for cruising, such as a heads compartment, a cabin floor in Flexiteak and a water installation.

In common with all boats in their stable, Viko allow customer to customise their boats to their own tastes.  So, cushions are available in a range of fabrics and colours, woodwork can be finished in a variety of shades and a multitude of tones can be chosen to the cabin floor. Customers even have an unlimited number of colour options for the galley unit.  UK boats will have a 12v electrics system and a navigation light – a range of  luxury options can be added including a built-in fridge and a choice of toilets!

The VIKO S 22 is a modern regatta cruise ship designed by the Sergio Lupoli design studio. The boat belongs to the same line of Italian design as the COMET 26 and COMET 31, it shares the same characteristic qualities combined with an innovative layout.

In 2013, VIKO S 22 received the prestigious award Premio Italia for the Vela award for the best construction of 2013 in Italy. VIKO S 22 also won the title of Boat of the Year 2014 in Poland in the sailboat category.
