Zwar erleichtern moderne Maschinen den Bootsbauern die Arbeit in der hauseigenen Schreinerei, ihr Augenmaß und ihr Know‐How im Umgang mit verschiedenen Hölzern bleiben aber die wichtigsten Werkzeuge. Mahagoni, Teak, Eiche oder Walnuss, unsere Boote bieten Individualität und ein Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen.

Und in jeder Segelyacht steckt die perfekte Balance aus massivem Holz und robusten Laminaten. So trägt auch das Gewicht der Inneneinbauten zum soliden Seeverhalten und den hervorragenden Segeleigenschaften bei, die jedes Segelboot aus unserer Werft in Giebelstadt auszeichnen.

Sandwich‐Konstruktion für ein langes Leben

Für höchste Qualität in den Rümpfen unserer Boote sorgen Isophthalsäureharze in den Außenlagen, die beim Laminieren eingesetzt werden. Sie dienen einem effektiven Schutz gegen Osmose und somit der Langlebigkeit Ihres Segelboots oder Motorboots.

Der Rumpf und das Deck einer BAVARIA bestehen aus einer Sandwich‐Konstruktion mit Schaumeinlagen. Bei den Segelyachten werden sie dort, wo Beschläge montiert werden, mit Aluminiumplatten verstärkt. Bei der „Hochzeit“ werden Deck und Rumpf miteinander verschraubt und verklebt, der schönste Moment für uns als Hersteller – und der erste Schritt zur fertigen Yacht.

Einmalige Präzision für herausragende Qualität

Mastfuß, Belegklampen, Blöcke, Winschen, Relingstützen, Cockpitfenster, Luken etc: Mehr als 40 Positionen gehören auf das Deck und in das Cockpit einer jeden BAVARIA. Ein effizientes Layout ist dabei ein unbedingtes Muss. Damit jeder Ausrüstungsteil am perfekten Platz sitzt, kombinieren wir die langjährige Erfahrung unserer Produktmanager, Designer und Bootsbauer mit der Präzision moderner CAD/CAM‐Software. Diese ermöglicht die exakte Planung, Entwicklung und Fertigung von Prototypen, fertigen Produkten und reibungslosen Produktionsabläufen. Später werden beim Bau des Decks an den wichtigen Stellen Aluminiumplatten in die Sandwich‐Konstruktion eingearbeitet, um eine überdurchschnittliche Stabilität zu erreichen.

Computergesteuerte Fräsen und Bohrer setzen bei der Produktion genau da an, wo es vorher das Produktteam festgelegt hat – auf den Millimeter genau. Die millimetergenaue Ausführung von Fräsungen und Bohrungen entscheidet über die spätere Dichtigkeit. Um diese elementare Arbeit mit gleichbleibend hoher Qualität erledigen zu können, haben wir bereits vor Jahren eine eigene CNC‐Anlage entwickeln lassen, die in der Yacht‐ und Bootsbaubranche bis dato ihresgleichen sucht.

Baycruiser 21 : Ein kleines Boot für den großen Spaß

Auch der neue Kleinkreuzer stammt unverkennbar aus der Werft nahe dem kleinen Städtchen Cardigan in Wales. Werftbesitzer und Konstrukteur Matt Newland hat auch ihm die typische Marken-DNA mitgegeben. Heißt: klassische Klinker-Optik mit starkem Deckssprung und hohem Bug, dazu ein positives Yachtheck und ein kleiner, kompakter Kajütaufbau. In der Summe: hübsch, smart, attraktiv.

Wie alle Boote von Swallow Yachts ist auch der neue Baycruiser 21 mit einem Schwenkkiel ausgestattet, der sich komplett in den Rumpf aufholen lässt, dazu kommt ein ebenfalls schwenkbares Ruderblatt. So kann man den kleinen Kreuzer problemlos an den Strand segeln und im Tidenrevier bedenkenlos trockenfallen lassen. Auch das Ein- und Auswassern an der Sliprampe ist einfach möglich, der Transport auf einem Anhänger ohnehin.

Baycruiser 21: als vielseitiges Wanderboot einsetzbar

Der aus GFK gebaute Baycruiser 21 wiegt nur gerade 600 Kilogramm, ist aber bereits im Standard mit einem Wasserballasttank mit einer Füllmenge von 400 Litern ausgestattet. Der flexible Ballast sorgt zusammen mit dem tiefen, aber aufholbaren Ballastschwert für reichlich aufrichtendes Moment und für gute, steife Segeleigenschaften bei Wind. Bei wenig Wind und für den Transport wird der Ballasttank ganz einfach gelenzt. So bleibt das Schiff leicht und die Segeleigenschaften agil. Das simple Rigg, ohne Salinge und ohne Achterstag, ist im Standard ab Werft aus Kohlefaser gebaut und leicht von Hand zu stellen oder zu legen. Zudem ist der Baycruiser 21 mit einem ausziehbaren Bugspriet für einen zusätzlichen Gennaker oder einen rollbaren Code Zero ausgestattet.

Unter Deck können zwei Personen komfortabel übernachten, und es gibt dazu auch einen ausgewiesenen Platz, um ein einfaches Chemie-WC unterzubringen. Für den Einsatz als Wanderboot lässt sich zudem das selbstlenzende Cockpit mit einer Kuchenbude vollständig schließen.

Auch nennt Swallow Yachts bereits einen Preis für den Baycruiser 21. Das kleine Boot, das im Januar auf der Messe boot in Düsseldorf als Neuheit zu sehen sein wird, kostet in der Basisausstattung inklusive der Segel 27.650 britische Pfund. Nach aktuellem Umrechnungskurs sind das rund 31.700 Euro netto und 37.700 Euro brutto inkl. 19 % Mehrwertsteuer.
