The Sailing Club “Vega” Pula is a club with a long and affluent tradition.It was founded n August 14, 1886 , under the name Boating Club “Pietas Julia” on the main naval port of Austria-Hungary monarchy. It consisted of water sports – sailing and rowing.That was first established civic club that attends to sailing in Pula , which is a sport suitable for the city , due to its perfect natural harbor and shelter for boats that came into this port with the purpose of bringing people and goods for shelter from storms.

The Yacht Club Biograd is not a big club when we look only on the number of the members, but the club has already his tradition from over 16 years with his traditionally organized events. Various regattas starting from surfing to sailing and other activities close to sea traditions. Club is supported by several charter company (ASC-Gomar, Full Team, Nautica, Pitter, Jetto, Yetti) which have around seventy crafts in marina Kornati.

Pula is a stunning pearl in the northwest part of Croatia also called the Istrian region. The region itself is famous for high quality food and beverage products such as; Truffles, Cheese, Wine, Vegetables. The town of Pula is the 8 th largest in Croatia and sits well protected inside a large natural bay on the peninsula of Istria.

From the city centre you have a 10-minute taxi ride to our marina, Marina Polesana, but you can also get there by using the shuttle boat from the city centre. In the Marina you will find our office that opened in 2023 with a variety of boats.

By Airplane

There are plenty of both domestic and international flights flying to Pula airport. If you don’t find the right flight for the day of check-in of your vessel it’s not a big deal. Pula has a lot to offer, and you will have a great day or two in the town no matter if you want to go swimming and enjoy the sun or do some city sightseeing and more culture-oriented activities.

If you have decided to travel by car to your sailing holiday Pula is ideal for the simple reason that it’s close to the northwest boarder of Croatia and central Europe. A quick drive from the marina you will find plenty of great options to buy supplies and groceries for your sailing. We do have parking space in the marina as well.

By Public transport

There are plenty of great long distance buss options to Pula. By a simple google search you will get multiple buss options for you travel, Train is not an option.

IN CASE OF DAMAGE ON THE BOAT If an accident has occurred, we are here to help you.

Please follow the steps below.

2. Take pictures of the damage. 3. Exchange insurance policy data with third party

4. Create a sketch of the accident, it has to be signed by all parties involved. 5. Report damage to Harbour Masters office if necessary.
