Super Bowl LVIII: the superyachts built for NFL team owners

Related articles, superyacht directory.

What do NFL owners do during the offseason? Go cruising on their superyachts, of course. There's an exclusive (but growing) club of NFL team owners who together have commissioned some of the largest superyachts in the world .

As the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs prepare to go head-to-head in this weekend's Super Bowl LVIII, BOAT takes a closer look at the yachts associated with the biggest names in American sport...

Joe Lewis • Tottenham Hotspur

British businessman Joe Lewis is the majority owner of Premier League football team Tottenham Hotspur and counts the 98.4-metre Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht Aviva among his possessions. When delivered in 2017, Aviva was the third yacht of its name to be owned by Lewis – including a 62-metre Feadship and a 68-metre , also built at Abeking & Rasmussen. The superyacht's standout feature is her huge padel tennis court, measuring 20-metres long by 10 metres wide. She also has an owner’s wardrobe that designer Andrew Langton claimed was "bigger than my house in France".

Arthur Blank • Atlanta Falcons

Owner of the Atlanta Falcons, Arthur Blank, made his fortune as co-founder of American hardware store The Home Depot. Blank is supposedly one of the more recent additions to the elite club of sporting superyacht owners, taking delivery of a 90-metre Oceanco named DreAMBoat in 2019. The boat began construction on speculation and is one of the largest projects to ever be started before securing an owner. It was a risk that paid off for the Dutch shipyard – soon enough, the Espen Øino -penned superyacht was rumoured to have been snapped up by Blank just 18 months before she was due to be completed.

Whisper (ex Kismet)

Shahid kahn • jacksonville jaguars.

In 2014, serial superyacht and sports club owner Shahid Khan took delivery of his biggest boat to date. The 95.2-metre Lürssen is a hit with yacht-spotters around the world thanks to her "champagne and caviar" exterior (a golden hull and jet-black mast). Khan purchased the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 and on game days, a four-metre silver statue of a jaguar graces Kismet 's bow, with its paw resting on a football helmet. Other highlights include lavish, art-deco interiors, a basketball court on the bow and a dedicated onboard hairdresser.

Kismet was sold and renamed Whisper in September 2023.

Daniel Snyder • Washington Commanders

Feadship's award-winning 93-metre Lady S was reportedly commissioned by Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Commanders, and is one of the world’s most expensive yachts available to charter . A week on board might set you back over €1.4 million – but it's easy to see why. After all, at the heart of the yacht is a 12-seat, two-deck IMAX cinema, while a fully certified helipad allows VIP guests to come and go as they please. Fitting an owner at the heart of American sport, Lady S is also equipped with a number of sports facilities for golf, basketball, volleyball and football.

Bravo Eugenia

Jerry jones • dallas cowboys.

Jerry Jones, owner and manager of the Dallas Cowboys, is said to be behind the build of Oceanco ’s 109-metre Bravo Eugenia . Built under the project name Bravo and delivered in 2018, Bravo Eugenia was applauded by the industry for her slender figure and elongated bow, courtesy of Nuvolari Lenard . Onboard highlights include a duo of helipads and a hybrid propulsion system. To the delight of yachting fans all over the world, Bravo Eugenia is a city dweller and is often spotted pulling into major cities around the world including Seattle, Miami and Cannes. She was most recently sighted in Tower Bridge, London .

Paul Allen • Seattle Seahawks

The 126-metre Lürssen explorer yacht Octopus was famously commissioned by the late Paul Allen, founder of co-Microsoft and owner of the Seattle Seahawks football team. Highlights include a swimming pool with a floor that raises to transform into a dancefloor , a floodable tender garage and a heli-hangar large enough to carry two helicopters side by side. Octopus is now under new ownership after she sold in 2021 but was previously owned by Allen's widower Jody, who still remains chairman of the Seattle Seahawks.

Winning Drive

Steve bisciotti • baltimore ravens.

Westport motor yacht Winning Drive is rumoured to have been built for American businessman and majority owner of the Baltimore Ravens football team Steve Bisciotti. The 39.6-metre vessel was delivered in 2012 as a Westport 130 and still cruises under the same name today. Unsurprisingly, she can often be spotted cruising between Baltimore and Palm Beach, according to BOATPro .

Ann Walton and Stan Kroenke • Los Angeles Rams

Ann Walton, heiress to the Walmart fortune, owns the Los Angeles Rams football team with her husband Stan Kroenke. Together the pair reportedly purchased the 85.6-metre Derektor flagship Cakewalk and renamed her Aquila , which underwent an extensive refit at British shipyard Pendennis .

Top Five II

Terry pagula • buffalo bills.

Top Five was delivered by Dutch shipyard Royal Hakvoort in 2021. She is reportedly owned by American businessman Terry Pagula, who also owns the Buffalo Bills NFL team with this wife. The 61-metre motor yacht is described as an “ocean-going explorer” with an ice belt, built to a design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design with naval architecture courtesy of Diana Yacht Design . One of the highlights of Top Five 's interior is her 2.4-metre-high ceilings.

What is Steve Bisciotti’s net worth? How the Baltimore Ravens owner made his fortune

The Baltimore Ravens have rightfully established themselves as one of the premier teams in the NFL. After securing their spot in the Conference Championship round , all eyes turned to the M&T Bank Stadium’s executive suite in search of the mastermind behind the franchise’s success. Steve Bisciotti has successfully assembled a roster that, with all due respect to Kansas City, aims to contend for the Super Bowl in the coming years. But who is Steve Bisciotti, and how did he amass such a fortune?

The finance behind Ravens’ Bisciotti

Bisciotti, the entrepreneurial genius, was born on April 10, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hailing from a middle-class Italian-American family, Bisciotti graduated with a degree in economics from Salisbury University. In 1983, he, along with his cousin Jim Davies, founded Aerotek, a private company specializing in the recruitment of employees for third-party companies in the aerospace and technology sectors. Today, the company boasts annual revenues of $15 billion, according to Forbes .

The company was absorbed by Allegis Group, a firm predominantly owned by Bisciotti. By 2018, Allegis Group had over 19,000 employees across its various branches.

Maintaining a low profile until the early 2000s, in 2004 Bisciotti completed the acquisition of the entire stake in the Baltimore Ravens for a sum exceeding $325 million. In 2000, the Pennsylvania native had already acquired 49% of the sports entity’s shares, including a clause that allowed him to acquire the remaining shares four years later.

What is the estimated net worth of Steve Bisciotti?

According to Forbes, Bisciotti’s total net worth amounts to $7.3 billion , placing him at position 143 on the prestigious Forbes list. Nearly half of this wealth ($3.4 billion) is attributed to the Ravens, who secured a Super Bowl victory in 2013.

Steve Bisciotti, Baltimore Ravens owner, sets tone for team’s winning ways

baltimore ravens owner yacht

NEW ORLEANS — Steve Bisciotti is the anti-Dan Snyder. (Though like Snyder he is a self-made millionaire.)

Bisciotti runs his football team nothing like Jerry Jones. (But they both know how to have a good time.)

Bisciotti didn’t inherit his place in the NFL like so many of the others. (Though like the old guard, he can also appreciate a good cigar, a glass of wine and time on his yacht.)

Sure there are similarities here and there, but the Baltimore Ravens owner isn't really like the rest. He's blue jeans and a sports coat, his hair slicked back and skin sun-baked, a native of Severna Park who grew up rooting for the Orioles and Colts.

There are thousands of cameras and reporters focused on Super Bowl XLVII , which pits Bisciotti's Ravens against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday.

Bisciotti, 52, wants little to do with them. He’d wanted to own a pro football team but had little interest in all the baggage that comes with it.

“My goal is to not let it change my life,” he said.

Bisciotti is back at the Super Bowl, the giant championship ring on his right hand a reminder of exactly what’s on the line Sunday. Bisciotti was a minority owner when the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2001 and says he felt more “like a fly on the wall.” While he had no problem watching the late Art Modell hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy then, the Ravens have been solely Bisciotti’s team since 2004 and this trip to football’s biggest stage, he said, feels different.

“I would be lying if I didn’t say that I feel like the first one is half mine,” he said.

Even if he spends a good chunk of his time living in Florida or cruising on his boat or strolling around a golf course, Bisciotti’s fingerprints are all over this Ravens team. As John Harbaugh, the only coach Bisciotti has ever hired, said, “He’s the guy that establishes the vision for the organization.”

‘He has an intensity’

Ozzie Newsome isn’t the first amateur sports philosopher to suggest you can learn a lot about a man on the golf course. The Ravens’ general manager said his close relationship with Bisciotti was largely forged on golf courses all over the country.

“He wants to get 18 holes in every day,” Newsome said.

With that in mind, here’s a few revealing things others have picked up on the links:

Baseball great Cal Ripken Jr: “You can see the screw turn a little tighter in his head when the match gets a little close or he feels he’s not playing well enough. . . . He has an intensity about him that he’s well aware of.”

Former Maryland men’s basketball coach Gary Williams: “He’s competitive. He’s not crazy like me. But he’s very competitive. He wants to win. That’s what I found out over the years. Different people show it in different ways. Nobody has an edge on who wants to win the most; there are a lot of people who go after it. Steve is like that, but he’s like that in the quiet way. He’s not over the top, but he’s grinding his way through every round of golf.”

Perhaps the most telling anecdote comes from Robert Ades, a Washington attorney. Several years ago, Williams brought Bisciotti along for a round of golf with Ades.

“He looked like a golf pro: tall, thin, relaxed, great tan,” Ades recalled. “I said, ‘What do you do?’ He said, ‘I’m gonna start working for the Ravens.’ ‘Oh, great,’ I told him, and we had an enjoyable round. A couple months later we learned that he wasn’t going to be working for the Ravens. He was buying the Ravens, but he never even mentioned that.”

‘He lets us do our jobs’

If there are 32 owners in the NFL, there are 32 ways to run an NFL team. Bisciotti’s style has helped make the Ravens one of the most stable and successful organizations in the league. Not only are the Ravens the lone team to win a playoff game each of the past five seasons, they’re the only team to make the playoffs each of the past five seasons.

“He lets us do our job,” Newsome said, by way of explanation.

During the football season, Bisciotti spends much of his time in Jupiter, Fla. He’ll often fly to Baltimore late in the week — he and his wife, Renee, live in Millersville, not far from Annapolis — watch the game from his suite and head back to Florida Monday morning. At league meetings, he’ll often send team President Dick Cass in his place. And he routinely declines interview requests to discuss the league, his team or himself. Still, his employees said he’s not only engaged in all facets of the team’s operations, but his voice and style are critical to the culture surrounding the team.

“We run our organization as though it were a partnership,” said Cass, Bisciotti’s first and most important hire after taking over ownership. “We collaborate and we’re collegial and we discuss things. That’s how he wants it. He doesn’t really believe in hierarchy, per se. He believes in what I call horizontal communication.”

Bisciotti also is up-front and doesn’t mince words. No one has to guess what he thinks.

For example, a couple years back, he felt he owed it to his mother to say: “Mom, you’re wearing too much perfume,” because he didn’t think she was aware. He calls it “being care-frontational.”

Whether it’s preparing for the draft or making key hires, Bisciotti prefers to sit in the room and listen to everyone else speak before opening his mouth. When he does talk, he’s often asking questions, and making sure all lines of communication are open.

“He says it’s his bubble in the straw mentality. One small bubble can block everything,” explains Eric DeCosta, the team’s assistant general manager. “He wants more of an open forum where everybody can speak their mind.”

It’s similar to how he ran Allegis Group, a private staffing company he built with his cousin after graduating from Salisbury State, which eventually grew into a multi-billion dollar outfit.

Calm, confident and thoughtful is his style and a variety of business leaders turn to him for advice. Ripken, for example, consulted with Bisciotti on how he could grow Ripken Baseball, talks that were about more than finances.

“There’s this philosophical side to him,” the baseball Hall of Famer said.

And Williams would often call up Bisciotti, an unabashed and passionate Maryland basketball fan, to talk about the Terps.

“I always felt he was kind of coming at things from the same way that I was coming from,” Williams said. “We would have the same point of view. So because of that, you listen if he tells you you’re wrong.”

As for the Ravens, Bisciotti likes for his staff to reach their own conclusions, but his questions and counsel usually help them find the way.

“Hands-on, hands-off, meddler, non-meddler — those are the kinds of things that they try to put you in one of two categories,” Bisciotti said. “I think it’s a lot of both. . . . I want my questions answered before they make their decision but I would hope that when I do get involved in the important decisions, that my participation actually lends itself to helping them make a better decision.”

Keeping a low profile

Watching a game can be a nerve-wracking experience for Bisciotti, a heavy metal assault on the senses. The television cameras never notice this, though, because the Ravens owner will never show it.

“I internalize,” he said.

But when it does become too much, he’ll leave his seat, walk behind the closed doors and walls that shield him from the field — and the cameras — and vent. “Steve is a high-energy guy,” said Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts. “Very smart but very intense. He’s got a temper but he’s able to keep it in control.”

He’ll inevitably return to his seat and find comfort from the same group of friends he’s had since childhood — still never entirely sure why his charmed life can be so frustrating some Sundays.

“There are times after games that I ask myself: What in the world are you doing this for?” he said.

The winning always reminds him.

On Sunday the Ravens will try to become the 12th team to win multiple Super Bowls. Bisciotti already has one championship ring, but this one would mean so much more.

“We’re either going to be setting the reset button and saying it’s been one year, two years since our second Super Bowl, or it’s been 13, 14, 15 years since our only Super Bowl,” he said. “So I want that for Baltimore, I want it for Ozzie, I want it for John Harbaugh. Everybody gets to press the reset button and say, ‘Yeah, now we’re the defending world champs.’ You start the clock ticking again.”

10 Things You Didn't Know about Baltimore Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti

Steve Bisciotti is the most notable of the people who own the Baltimore Ravens. However, he is connected with other businesses as well, which were what provided him with the funding needed to buy his ownership stake in the sports franchise in the first place.  Here are 10 things you might not know about Steve Biscotti.

1. Grew Up in Severna Park, MD

Steve Bisciotti was born in Philadelphia, PA. However, he was raised in a place called Severna Park, MD because his father's job as a construction sales executive resulted in his parents moving there. For those who are curious, Severna Park is one of the suburbs of Baltimore, meaning that it is considered to be part of the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area.

2. Suffered Personal Loss At a Young Age

Unfortunately, Bisciotti's father died of leukemia when Bisciotti was still at the age of 8. This had a very negative impact on the Bisciotti family, not least because it meant that it had lost its breadwinner . However, Bisciotti's maternal grandfather C. Gordon Johnston was the one who stepped up in their time of need, which had a profound impact on Bisciotti.

3. Wasn't Very Good At School

Primarily, Bisciotti learned the importance of hard work, which is something that has remained with him ever since. However, it is interesting to note that he wasn't very good at school. In short, Bisciotti apparently had a learning disability that made academics a serious challenge for him. Something that made his school experience not particularly fun to say the least.

4. Graduated From Salisbury University

In spite of this, Bisciotti persevered, with the result that he graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in the liberal arts. For those who are unfamiliar, Salisbury University started out as the Maryland State Normal School in the 1920s before undergoing a number of name changes to become its current incarnation in the early 2000s, which is presumably a reference to its location in Salisbury, MD. Currently, Salisbury University is considered to be a member of the University System of Maryland that serves as the state's public system of higher education.

5. Pretty Physical Person

When he was still a student, Bisciotti was a pretty physical person. For example, he was fond of playing baseball, basketball, and football, with the result that he was on his high school football team. Likewise, he would work in construction in the summertime, where it is said that he never shied away from the hard work that needed to get done. Nowadays, Bisciotti is a billionaire, but it is clear that he retains his fondness for sports, as shown by how he bought up his hometown team.

6. Co-Founded Aerotek

Upon graduation, Bisciotti went to work for a staffing firm, which went bankrupt. Due to this, he went to his eventual father-in-law for advice, which resulted in him being told that he should consider starting his own business in spite of the fact that he had no more than $3,500 in his bank account. As far as his eventual father-in-law was concerned, this wasn't a big issue because it just meant that he couldn't fall very far even if he failed. The startup was Aerotek, which went on to become the Allegis Group.

7. Had to Borrow to Buy an Engagement Ring

In the present time, Forbes considers the Allegis Group to be the single biggest privately-held talent management firm that can be found in the entire world, meaning that it has come very far indeed. However, it is important to note its humble beginnings, as shown by how Bisciotti needed to borrow money from his former boss in order to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend Renee Foote. He didn't need to go to the same lengths when the time came to buy the wedding ring, but he did need to dig deep into his coin jar.

8. Has Been Described As an Upfront Kind of Person

Personality-wise, Bisciotti has been described as being a pretty upfront kind of person. For example, if someone is doing well, Bisciotti won't hesitate to compliment them for doing so. Likewise, if someone isn't doing so well, Bisciotti is perfectly willing to speak with him face-to-face about what they are doing wrong as well as how they need to change.

9. Not Particularly Well-Known Before He Bought His Ownership Stake

Bisciotti wasn't particularly well-known to the members of the public before he bought his ownership stake in the Baltimore Ravens. This made sense because while he was in charge of a very successful talent management firm, it was privately-held and remains privately-held. Moreover, talent management isn't a sector that garners a great deal of interest from the public, thus further explaining its relative obscurity. It is interesting to note that even now, Bisciotti remains a relatively low-profile figure when it comes to the Baltimore Ravens, not least because he believes that spending too much time meddling with how a team is run isn't good for an owner's public reputation.

10. Roman Catholic

It is interesting to note that Bisciotti is a practicing Roman Catholic. As such, a lot of his charitable activities are connected with Roman Catholic organizations in some manner. For instance, he is a member of the board for the Associated Catholic Charities , which is a Baltimore-based nonprofit that provides care for more than 160,000 people on an annual basis. One of its most notable programs is providing meals for the poor, but it offers a wide range of other services as well to interested individuals regardless of their faith, their ethnicity, or their background. Of course, the Associated Catholic Charities wouldn't be able to do this without the support of other people who believe in its mission, which is where Bisciotti and other like-minded individuals come in.

Only Steve Bisciotti and Jim Davis from Baltimore make Forbes 400 list of richest Americans

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, shown in this 2018 file photo, was ranked 150th on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans. Bisciotti founded the Allegis Group staffing firm with cousin Jim Davis, who ranked 287th.

Baltimore only placed two people of the latest Forbes 400 list of richest Americans — two men who started a business together in 1983.

Steve Bisciotti, best known as the owner of the Baltimore Ravens, and his cousin, Jim Davis, founded a staffing firm then known as Aerotek but now called the Allegis Group.

Allegis has become the nation’s largest staffing firm, with $13.4 billion revenue in 2018.

Bisciotti, who resides in Millersville, is ranked 150th on the Forbes list with an estimated net worth of $4.5 billion, which includes $2.75 billion attributed to the Ravens.

Davis, who lives in Cockeysville, is ranked 287th with an estimated net worth of $3 billion.

The cousins’ Redwood Capital Investments is an active investor with significant stakes in Tradepoint Atlantic, the redevelopment project at the site of the closed Sparrows Point steel mill; Erickson Living, a Catonsville-based retirement community operator; as well as auto and RV dealers, alcohol distribution, trailer leasing and propane distribution.

Kevin Plank, the founder and CEO of Under Armour, made the Forbes 400 cover in 2015 , but dropped off the list in 2017 as the Baltimore-based athletic apparel brand suffered a slump in sales and its stock price. Forbes currently estimates Plank’s net worth at $1.8 billion, a few hundred million shy of the bottom of the Forbes 400 list.

The richest Marylander is listed as Ted Lerner and his family, whose Lerner Enterprises owns significant real estate in the Washington, D.C., area. The Chevy Chase resident, who also owns the Washington Nationals, has an estimated net worth of $5.1 billion, ranked 128th.

Other Marylanders on the list include Mitchell Rales of Potomac with $4.4 billion, 154th; Bernard Saul II of Chevy Chase with $3.4 billion, 250th; David Rubinstein of Bethesda with $3.2 billion, 275th; and Dan Snyder of Potomac, best known as the owner of the Washington Redskins, with $2.6 billion, 333rd.

For the second year in a row, Forbes included a philanthropy score, ranking the billionaire’s known generosity on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most philanthropic.

Davis received a philanthropy score of 4, while Bisciotti — the Baltimore region’s richest person — only got a 1.

The philanthropy scoring has been criticized as biased toward those who makes their gifts widely known; some billionaires decline to share information with Forbes.

The richest Americans overall were Amazon’s Jeff Bezos with $114 billion, Microsoft’s Bill Gates with $106 billion, Warren Buffett with $80.8 billion and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg with $69.6 billion. Gates, Buffett and Zuckerberg all received philanthropy scores of 5, while Bezos received a 2.

The NFL’s Favorite Boats

  • By Yachting Staff
  • September 12, 2023

Plenty has been written about retired (really, this time) NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s passion for boating. He reportedly owned a Wajer 55S before upgrading to a Wajer 77 , a sweet reward after earning what’s estimated to be a net worth of at least $300 million.

But when it comes to the really big boats—the megayachts, superyachts and gigayachts—it’s the NFL team owners who have the goods. Sure, there’s an occasional story in the news about an NFL player spending a day on the water, but the people making a real splash on the docks are the ones who own the teams.

Article At-A-Glance

  • NFL players, such as Tom Brady, have good-size boats, but team owners have big yachts.
  • Several NFL team owners have sizable, pedigree European shipyard builds.
  • You’d never know the owners based on the yacht names.
  • The yachts cruise all over the world, including the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

European Shipyards that NFL Owners Choose

Europe has always been seen as the place to buy a pedigree superyacht, and owners of NFL teams naturally gravitate toward the best. They’ve commissioned yachts from Oceanco , Lürssen, Feadship and Royal Hakvoort.

Jerry Jones’ Bravo Eugenia

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones owns Bravo Eugenia , a 357-foot Oceanco that was delivered in late 2018. Forbes reported that, during the pandemic, Jones handled the NFL draft from on board—in a luxurious version of social-distancing. The yacht itself is noteworthy for its hybrid propulsion as well as its multiple helipads, which give Jones the ability to land on board pretty much anywhere in the world.

In 2014, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan took delivery of the 312-foot Lürssen Kismet . It’s currently listed for sale on the Moran Yacht & Ship website at an asking price of about $160 million, with what the brokerage house calls a “decadent interior” by Reymond Langton Design. Accommodations are for 16 guests, with quarters for 28 crew. The yacht has a helipad, a spa, a swimming pool and an outdoor fireplace—a rare find aboard any yacht of any size.

American Shipyards that NFL Owners Choose

Some NFL owners skip the European shipyards (and their years-long waiting lists) altogether and go with American builds instead. These yachts are new or refitted after being purchased from previous owners, showing that it’s possible to get exactly what you want in a yacht even if you don’t choose the process of custom construction.

Steve Bisciotti’s Winning Drive

Baltimore Ravens majority owner Steve Bisciotti reportedly also owns Winning Drive , a Westport 130 that left the yard in 2012. This is one of the most popular American-model yachts ever, with the series in build since way back in 2000 and the company still offering new versions today. The 10-guest, seven-crew Westport 130 is also a popular model on the charter market, if anyone wants to book a different hull to get a feel for life on board Bisciotti style.

Stan Kroenke’s Aquila

This billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Rams (and numerous other sports teams) reportedly also owns Aquila , a 280-foot Derecktor that started life on the water in 2010 as Cakewalk —the largest private motoryacht ever built in the United States. The yacht underwent a yearlong refit at Pendennis and is currently available for charter through Burgess at a lowest weekly base rate of $945,000. Guests have full access to the onboard elevator, cinema room, spa and massage areas, and bridge-deck fire pit.

Tom Brady’s Boat

By comparison with these behemoths, Brady’s Wajer 77 seems small—but it’s actually the largest model in the builder’s line. It’s built for speed and silence, with a top speed of 37 knots and extensive use of insulation to dampen onboard noise. Smaller models from Wajer give all kinds of boat owners a chance to sample the kind of fun that Brady is having out on the water.

Tom Brady’s Wajer 77

The Wajer 38 is the entry-level model in the builder’s lineup, with 45 knots of speed (yes, it can outrun Tom Brady’s boat). The 300-nautical-mile range means this boat is well-suited for weekend getaways, and the fact that the boat is packed with seating and sun pads mean owners can bring plenty of friends along for the ride. Vripack in the Netherlands—also a superyacht designer—handled naval architecture, which explains the upscale feel.

Wajer 38

This is the model that Tom Brady had before he upgraded to the builder’s larger flagship. The 55S is still in production today. It’s a 38-knot boat with a 400-nautical-mile range and a center-console design that allows great walkaround space for fishing and other water sports. Belowdecks, there’s accommodations for as many as four people, if owners want to spend the night on the hook. For the hull, owners can choose among a wide variety of colors, ranging from more subtle blacks and whites to high-octane yellows and pinks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do more NFL team owners than NFL players own superyachts?

Generally speaking, superyacht owners are billionaires, while even the most successful NFL players tend to be multimillionaires.

Do any NFL team owners have yachts bigger than a football field?

A football field between the goal lines is 100 yards, or 300 feet. That means several NFL team owners have yachts that would be too long to fit inside their own stadiums.

Do NFL team owners keep their yachts near NFL stadiums?

Not usually. Dallas Cowboys owners Jerry Jones’ yacht, for instance, has been spotted everywhere from Vancouver to London.

Do NFL team owners with yachts also have other business interests?

Yes. Shahid Khan, who owns the Jacksonville Jaguars, made his fortune with Flex-N-Gate, which makes bumpers for vehicles. Steve Bisciotti, who owns the Baltimore Ravens, also owns staffing, recruiting and talent-management companies.

Do any NFL stadiums have dockage for yachts?

Not directly at the stadium, but there’s a marina adjacent to Soldier Field, where the Chicago Bears play, and boaters heading to Cleveland Browns games can tie up at the nearby Rock and Dock Marina at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

REPORT: Odell Beckham Jr Rented Out Massive Yacht Known As “The Spirit of Baltimore” For Ravens Teammates Before Playoffs

baltimore ravens owner yacht

Odell Beckham Jr.’s Giants days are well behind him, but a single image has followed him for years that he cannot get away from.

In 2017, the Giants were gearing up for a wild-card round matchup with the Packers. Beckham, along with fellow Giants wideouts Sterling Shepard, Victor Cruz, and Roger Lewis Jr., decided to have a good time on a boat beforehand.

The Giants’ playoff hopes have sunk since the picture was taken.

The infamous Giants boat photo is back in the discussion this week as Odell is now playing for the Ravens.

A report surfaced this week that the veteran WR had scheduled a yacht trip after the team secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC following the Ravens taking the Dolphins to task in a devastating way to the tune of a 56-19 win.

In a tweet from Spencer Schultz: “Heard that OBJ has rented out massive yacht known as ‘The Spirit of Baltimore’ and will be taking the Ravens offensive players on it during some down time before the playoffs.”

However, the tweet is just for engagement and is completely fake.

In his first year with the Ravens, Beckham has 565 receiving yards with three touchdowns through 14 games this season.

Beckham suffered a knee injury in Super Bowl LVI and sat out the entire 2022 season. Multiple teams reportedly expressed interest in Beckham this past offseason, but the three-time Pro Bowler ultimately signed a one-year contract with the Ravens.

Baltimore enters the final week of the regular season with 13 wins and will host their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday.

They have nothing to play for so it remains unclear if NFL MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and other starters will suit up for Baltimore.
