As the year draws to a close, we take a look back at ten of the most impressive new listings to join the market in the past 12 months.

Length: 155m

Kicking off this list is the elusive 155 metre Al Said which joined the market for the first time in 2022. Built under the codename Project Sunflower, she was launched in 2008 by German shipyard Lürssen with design by the legendary Espen Oinø . She was owned by the Sultan of Oman and was the world's second-largest yacht when she first touched the water. Standout features include 26 cabins for 70 guests, a helipad, medical room and a performance room that seats 50.

Length: 115m

Pelorus , the former flagship of the Lürssen fleet, was revealed for the first time this year as she joined the market with SuperYachtsMonaco . Her steel hull is based on the same lines as Carinthia VII , with a high forebody and reverse sheer sweeping down towards the stern, but Pelorus features an additional line that curves down towards the bow inspired by the 'armour belt' on the HMS Belfast. Pelorus  carries seven tenders including an 11.2-metre  limo and an 8.5-metre sports tender, both by Vikal, a 10-metre X-tender rib, two Pascoe ribs including a SOLAS rib, a nine-metre Hinckley and a Zodiac.

Length: 90.6m

The 90.6 metre superyacht Dubawi made waves when she joined the sales market for the first time ever in May after being listed with Worth Avenue Yachts . Initially delivered as a cruise ship, the yacht underwent a multi-million dollar refit with Platinum Yachts in 2009. The yacht has an internal volume comparable to a yacht of 100 metres or more thanks to her cruising heritage. One of her most impressive amenities is the cavernous lower deck nightclub, which features a dance floor that lights up and a state-of-the-art sound system. Meanwhile, the owner's apartment occupies an entire deck of its own.

Dubawi is asking $28,000,000 with Worth Avenue Yachts .

Length: 90m

Phoenix II was completed by Lürssen in 2010 with British studio Winch Design behind her striking exterior and dazzling interior concept. She features soaring lines, a poised silhouette and a 5.7 metre phoenix figurehead that rises up from the bow. Inside, royal reds, black lacquers and gold accents pay homage to the Art Deco movement. A favourite spot among guests is the formal dining room which is overlooked by a six-piece jazz band in custom-made gold bas-relief murals. Other highlights include a Steinway piano, cinema room, three pools and a sommelier room. 

Phoenix II is asking €129,000,000 (VAT paid) with Burgess .

Length: 85.6m

B2 was one of the largest vessels at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show sitting along the breakwater next to Project X and Ahpo in Port Hercule. She was delivered in 2009 and remains the second-largest launch by the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard. A recent four-million-euro refit saw her hull extended by seven metres allowing for a vast beach club that opens on three sides and a glass-bottom swimming pool that sits laterally across the main deck.  Accommodation is for 22 guests with an elevator serving each level right up to the sun deck.

B2 is asking €88,000,000 with Moravia Yachting .

Length: 82m

The 3,179GT Sarafsa is one of the largest boats to be built in the UK. Used only privately, she was revealed to the world for the first time this year as she joined the market. Wellness is at her core with a hammam, gym, spa pool and jacuzzi beneath a retractable roof. Other features include an 11-seat cinema, a touch-and-go helipad and storage for two large tenders.

Sarafsa is asking €65,000,000 with Burgess .

Length: 85m

Lürssen's 85 metre Aurora was one of the most expensive new listings to join the market in 2022. While she was delivered in 2017, her exterior design plays with retro themes such as circular portholes and arched windows. In a similar fashion, her interior takes inspiration from the Art Deco movement. Highlights include an observation lounge on the top deck, and fully-equipped gym with sliding glass doors that open onto the aft deck, and a Jacuzzi with a J-shaped sit-up bar nearby.

Aurora is asking €130,000,000 with Burgess .

Length : 73.1m

The second largest yacht built in North America since the Great Depression, Laurel was originally delivered in 2006 as the flagship of US yard Delta Marine. Her exterior design was penned by Donald Starkey , and is made instantly recognisable due to the hull’s royal blue colouring. The yacht’s interiors, also by Starkey, offers accommodation for 12 guests in seven cabins, including a convertible cabin that doubles as a sauna. Laurel is known for her professional dive facilities, which has made her especially popular among charter guests, with other amenities such as a jacuzzi, gym and a library that converts into a private cinema perfect for movie nights.

Laurel is asking $69,500,000 with IYC .

Length: 72m

Solo was delivered in 2018 as the flagship of the Tankoa fleet and is one of two S701 models ( Suerte was the first in the series). Her exterior and interior are the work of an all-Italian design team with Francesco Paszkowski Design and Margherita Casprini creating a modern yacht with a masculine edge. The beach club serves as one of the yacht’s key design features with natural light streaming in from a glass bottom pool above. The space is completed by a hammam room decorated with Tuscan calacatta marble, as well as a sauna that notably houses wood from a medieval castle in Finland.

Solo is asking €66,000,000 with Edmiston .

Length: 67.5m

Icon was delivered by her namesake shipyard in 2010 and joins the market for the second time in her history. She underwent an extensive refit in 2014 that extended the yacht’s overall length by five metres, creating space for a raised infinity pool with a glass bottom that filters a dappled blue light through the renovated beach club below. Icon was designed by RWD and is a true explorer with an impressive 6,000 nautical mile range, making her suited to an owner looking to cruise far and wide. On board, Studio Linse offers a “noble simplicity” with the use of neutral colours, pale woods and elegant onyx and marbles, creating a bright and contemporary space for relaxed ocean living.

Icon is asking €45,000,000 (VAT paid) with Fraser .

Acclaimed actress Angelina Jolie is the proud owner of the Cirrus SR22, but this airplane is not even large enough to accommodate all of her children. And if her being beautiful and talented wasn’t impressive enough, she can in fact fly a plane too, as she is a fully licensed pilot!

The SR22 features:

Elvis Presley - Convair 880 - $3 Million

The King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley, of course, had his own private jet named after his daughter, Lisa Marie. How would he attend all those performances and travel all over the world? At the time, the plane was purchased for $600,000 but it is now worth an estimated $3 million. Elvis is dead of course, and not using it anymore.

This plane features:

Constructed by the Convair division of General Dynamics, it was originally designed to compete with planes like the Boeing 707. It was purchased back in April 17, 1975. The plane is now on display at Graceland.

Jamie Foxx And Katie Holmes - Utopia III - $7 Million

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes were previously in a relationship but they have since broken up and moved on. The actress and comedian/actor were seen in the Utopia III super-sized yacht worth an estimated $7 million. Spotted by paparazzi off the coast of Miami, these celebrities were not afraid of flaunting their wealth.

The Utopia III features:

• Satellite communications
• Five staterooms

The ginormous yacht requires a nine-person crew to run it and has guest accommodations for up to 10 in the five staterooms on board. While the ship requires a hefty crew to run it, we’re sure these two celebrities had no trouble affording that.

Harrison Ford - Cessna 680 Sovereign - $18 Million

Harrison Ford's pilot’s license is no secret as he’s talked about it many times before. Indeed, he’s like Han Solo in real life, but except for smuggling, he’s an actor. All those big action films he’s been in over the years, from Star Wars to Air Force One – they’ve really paid off - to the point where he can afford his own private jet.

• A large luggage area

The Cessna 680 Sovereign is just one of eight planes that belong to Mr. Ford. This luxurious jet is undoubtedly one of his more expensive ones. It’s also worth noting that Harrison Ford is no stranger to accidents in these things but hopefully he stays safe and has insurance.

John Travolta - Boeing 707-138 - $20 Million

John Travolta gets around in style. He starred in hit movies like Grease and Hairspray . When he’s not acting, he spends his time sharpening his pilot skills! As an aviation enthusiast, he owns five planes. Including three Gulfstream jets, one Boeing 707-138 and one Learjet. Wouldn’t it be nice to take your pick of which jet to take that day? 

Out of his five planes, John’s Boeing 707-138 is the nicest and most expensive. His Boeing is valued at around $20 million, and it includes many custom upgrades that he’s installed to suit his travel needs. His jet comes with:

This luxurious yacht features:

The 198-foot-long yacht may look just like a big boat, but it has the look of a luxury hotel on the inside, and a huge deck for mingling outdoors.  Built by Feadship in 1979, it’s one of the largest yachts at sea.

Dolce and Gabbana are some of the biggest names in fashion, and as such, they have one of the most fashionable yachts sailing the seven seas. Their ultra-high end yacht is one of the most expensive in the world. This Italian duo is known for their lavish parties on board the yacht, and we can see why. 

Regina d’Italia is made of the finest materials and features:

• Several water slides
• An infinity pool
• The largest jacuzzi possible

The boat is well equipped for entertaining some of the most beautiful people in the world and it makes our list with a price tag of a staggering $30 million. 

Jackie Chan - Embracer Legacy 650 - $30 Million

Jackie Chan is one of the most iconic martial artists of all time, so it’s no wonder he’s got a private jet fit for a legend. Jackie Chan has been in Hollywood since the early ‘90s, so he’s had plenty of time to save up for the hefty price tag on his jet. We wonder if he had any idea at the beginning of his career that he’d have his own plane one day. 

Jacki Chan’s Embracer Legacy 650 is a giant plane. It’s so large that it is broken into three sectors. His jet comes with: 

• An area for work and business
• An area for a little rest and relaxation
• An entertainment area
• A painted dragon on the side

The plane also comes with its own Wi-Fi on board, so you could practically live on this plane if you wanted to! That’s what $30 million will buy you. 

Nicole Kidman - Hokulani - $30 Million

Nicole Kidman is one of the Hollywood legends of our time. She’s found plenty of success throughout her career in acting and she has this stunning yacht to show for it. She’s been acting for over two decades, and with several Emmys and Golden Globes, she’s relaxing on the deck of her stunning yacht named Hokulani. 

Hokulani is a custom-made yacht that was built to spec for Nicole’s taste for the finer things. This yacht features: 

• A large swimming platform
• A centralized entertainment system
• Enough room to entertain as many as 20 guests. 

All her hard work in Hollywood has definitely paid off, it seems!

Arnold Schwarzenegger - Gulfstream III - $35 Million

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have big gains but he’s quite happy with a small private jet. He’s an owner of a Gulfstream III, worth an estimated $35 million. It’s plenty comfortable for 12 passengers, although it can seat up to 19 with the maximum configuration. It can also hold up to 22 smaller luggage bags.

• A kitchen with food preparation area
• Not much else

The former California governor and action film star acquired the plane in 2011. The plane does require two to three crew members to operate. Arnold’s plane is just one of eight variations available for the Gulfstream III. In this case, Arnold basically had the plane stripped down to only the bare necessities.

Tom Cruise - Gulfstream IV - $36 Million

Tom Cruise also owns a Gulfstream IV private jet, similar to one owned by Justin Bieber. Of course, a star as big as Tom Cruise would have his own plane and this jet serves him just fine, jumping from one premiere to the next. It accommodates 19 passengers and requires a crew of just two.

The Gulfstream IV first took off in 1985 and was introduced in 1987. The plane offers great speed and range, making it ideal for a busy celebrity like Mr. Cruise.

Jay Z. - Bombardier Challenger 850 Learjet - $40 Million

Celebrity power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles have been living the life of the rich and famous since the early 2000s. They’re #couplesgoals with their state-of-the-art Bombardier Challenger 850 Learjet as they jet set with their daughter, Blue Ivy, across the globe on lavish vacations and business trips. 

The couple's Bombardier Challenger 850 Learjet comes equipped with:

Taylor Swift’s Dassault Falcon 900 is a Gulfstream private jet that is well-suited for one the 21 st century’s most popular singers. With a career as strong as hers, there’s no doubt she can afford this lane worth $40 million. She previously owned another jet, the Falcon 50, but ended up selling it.
