The Dinghy is a board that has become so well-known and is so well-liked, that it deserves an entire series of its own. The Landyachtz Dinghy is the definition of what you want in a mini deck. At 28.5”, it’s just the right size – plenty of foot room, yet still small enough to carry, stash away, or strap on to your backpack. Great for short distance commutes, pedestrian slalom, and also a great fit for all you kick-flipping monkeys out there.

Mini Meets Functionality

There are a lot of minis out on the market. In fact, what we refer to today as a mini, replicate – more or less – old school skateboards. Skaters have been shredding decks similar to the Dinghy for years. So let’s examine a few things that sets apart the Dinghy from other minis on the market.

Wheel Well Flares

Historically, minis have been delegated strictly to 60mm wheels and smaller. With wheel wheels 65mm wheels are not an issue at all. If you are willing to add some additional risers, or want to wedge and/or de-wedege your trucks, you might even be able to get away with 68mm-70mm wheels. Don’t forget that the wheel wells on the Dinghy have some flares! Wheel flares are great for locking in your feet if you have the desire for sliding.

Functional Nose and Tail

The tail on the Dinghy has a TON of pop. Great for all the flip tricks in the book and for getting up-and-over obstacles. While not as pronounced, the nose offers plenty of room for nose-manuals and shuvits.

Just the Right Touch of Concave

Who doesn’t like some concave? Well the Dinghy has it. Concave is often overlooked in mini’s but it is extremely helpful when hopping off curbs and keeping your feet in place. The concave, in addition to the other features mentioned, also make this board great for the skate parks.

Hundreds of Burger Kings have closed, but company remains and is investing | Fact check

The claim: All Burger King locations are closing

An April 16 Facebook post ( direct link , archive link ) includes an image of a Burger King with a red "closed" sign on its window.

“Fast Food Giant Announces It’s CLOSING Its Doors for good!!” reads the post.

It was shared more than 100 times in two days. Other versions of the claim spread widely on Facebook .

The Burger King chain isn't closing. A company executive announced in 2023 that it would close up to 400 locations by the end of that year, but the company has also invested millions of dollars in revamping existing locations.

Burger King has closed restaurants, chain remains active

Nothing in Burger King's news releases or social media posts indicates the fast-food chain is closing all its locations, nor is there any such announcement from its parent company, Restaurant Brands International . No reputable media outlets have reported the company is going out of business. 

However, some individual Burger King locations have closed.

Restaurant Brands International CEO Joshua Kobza said in a May 2023 call that as many as 400 Burger King locations could be closed by the end of that year, TODAY reported .

In September 2023, Burger King announced its $400 million “Reclaim the Flame” campaign to boost sales. By the end of that year, the company had invested $73 million in advertising and $61 million toward remodeling and relocating existing restaurants as part of the campaign, according to a February statement from Restaurant Brands International.

USA TODAY previously debunked a claim that Burger King was closing in April 2023. 

Burger King did not provide an on-the-record comment on the claim. USA TODAY reached out to several users who shared the post for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

This burger impacts the eyes as much as the stomach.

On a recent trip to Busan, our Japanese-language reporter got a hankering for a burger at Lotteria, a fast food chain established first in Japan and then South Korea. Lotteria is known for coming up with some unusual burgers in Japan, like chocolate and chicken , so Go wasn’t too surprised to find out Korea has its own eye-catching options. His craving was for a very specific burger he’d seen on a poster outside the restaurant because he wasn’t too sure what he was looking at.

His Google Lens translation feature told him the poster’s text translated to something like “a boundary-pushing burger”. Its official name: the King Tonkatsu Burger . His curiosity led him all the way into the store and up to the touchscreen order panel. It was priced at 7,500 won (US$5.44) on its own or 9,400 won in a set with a drink and fries.

The more he stared at the poster, the more he became confused about what a boundary really was. This burger was way too big for its bun.

In about five minutes, he was able to satisfy his curiosity when his order was brought to the table.

Wrapped inside this innocent brown packaging was the King Tonkatsu Burger.

It even came with a tonkatsu sauce packet; Go translated the writing on the burger’s wrapper and found out the sauce was meant to be put on the edges sticking out of the burger bun.

Finally, it was time to open the mysterious burger.

Whoooa, nelly.

The tonkatsu was so much bigger than the buns that Go almost laughed out loud. He added some extra tonkatsu sauce as per the package’s instructions.

It was a pretty good burger ! The pork cutlet was just the right thickness and the flavor was decent. Besides its size, it wasn’t too different from the average tonkatsu burger, in Go’s opinion. Though Lotteria also has many branches in Japan, this burger seems exclusive to its South Korean locations. If it makes its way to Japan, we’ll be the first to let you know!
