Motor yacht KOMOKWA was launched by Taiwanese shipbuilder Horizon in 2010. She measures 41.1m/135ft and has an elegant exterior profile created by Espinosa Yacht Design. Her naval architecture was a work by Gregory C. Marshall. Accommodation onboard is offered for up to 102 guests in 5 cabins.

Espinosa Yacht Design also took care of the yacht's interior, creating sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere onboard. Soft cream tones of fabrics in combination with woods add some extra chic feel to the living spaces. The main salon has two areas: dining and lounge. The dining area can seat up to 10 guests and is ideal for formal and casual gatherings. The lounge is equipped with ample seating, coffee table and state-of-the-art entertainment system, where guests can relax and socialise. The sky lounge is also suitable for entertaining in style. Recreation facilities, such as sauna and gym are on the lower deck.

The main deck aft offers alfresco dining. Outside lounging area is located on the upper deck and if adjusted to the sky lounge. The flybridge hosts plenty of space for sunbathing. There are sun loungers, bar, Jacuzzi and dining table.

KOMOKWA Specifications

The power comes from two MTU 8V 4000 M70 diesel engines, which allow the yacht to reach a top speed of 17 knots. She cruises at 14 knots and is equipped with stabilisers for extra comfort while cruising.

Yacht Accommodation

Komokwa interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests overnight in 6 cabins, comprising a master suite, four double cabins, 2 Pullman beds. The owner's cabin features a king size bed, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi and multi-jet shower. There is also an adjacent owner's study lounge. On the lower deck, there are two twin cabins and one queen sized. All of them are equipped with walk0n showers.

41m Horizon motor yacht Komokwa sold

The 41.1-metre motor yacht Komokwa has been sold with Matthew Martin of Fraser and Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting representing the seller. Kurt Bosshardt of Denison introduced the buyer.

Komokwa was built in GRP by Taiwanese yard Horizon to a design by Espinosa Yacht Design and was delivered in 2010 as one of the yard’s Premier 135 series. The brokers pointed out "she was the only Premier 135 built to DNV class. She had been well maintained by her original owner of 10 years and cruised 65,000 nautical miles around the globe".

The light and contemporary interior, boasting extensive wood veneers and carpets, accommodates 13 guests in six cabins including a full-beam owner’s suite on the bridge deck with lounge and private aft deck. Interior styling is by Claudia Drettman.

There is a second master suite on the main deck, while on the lower deck lie a double and a twin cabin. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, flatscreen television sets and ensuite bathroom facilities while four further cabins sleep nine crew.

A large 70-square-metre saloon, clad in elegant wood panelling, has comfortable seating, a bar and an entertainment system including a large television screen. The aft deck is another capacious area and offers al fresco dining for up to 10 guests, enhanced by a barbecue, fridge, ice maker and television screen.

Plentiful deck areas include a vast flybridge offering the best on-board views, a Jacuzzi, bar, additional comfortable seating and further dining options for guests. 

Komokwa has a top speed of 15 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 2,700 nautical miles with power coming from two 1,550hp MTU 8V4000M70 diesel engines, with extended MTU warranty to May 2025. For added comfort, the 398GT yacht is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

Komokwa was asking $6,900,000.
