The super-stylish 187.93ft  /57.28m  Custom motor yacht  ‘Diamond A’  was built in 1998 by Abeking & Rasmussen and last refitted in 2010. Previously named Ultima III, her luxurious interior is designed by Jack C. Anderson and her exterior styling is by Donald Starkey. Diamond A’s comfortable yet stylish interior layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 9 rooms, including a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 4 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She also comes complete with a modern stabilization system to reduce roll motion even during rough seas, and the yacht also has ‘at anchor stabilizers’ to keep things smooth even at anchor/zero speed.

A deck Jacuzzi is perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the view, particularly after a long day of exploration.

The yacht has a great Wi-Fi connection throughout, so you’ll be able to check emails or share your experience on social media. A gym onboard, fully equipped with the latest exercise equipment, means you’ll never miss a work out.

PRESENTING DIAMOND A

A 1998 build, Abeking & Rasmussen yacht DIAMOND A had long been exclusively used as a private superyacht.  Previously named ULTIMA III and owned by Ron Perelman, the head of Revlon.  Her new owner made this grand superyacht available for hire.  After a major refit, the 57-meter vessel looks as great as the day she launched.  She positions in the Caribbean in winter and available for Monaco yacht charter inquiries in the summer.   Yacht DIAMOND A is one of the largest yachts in the world available for private charter.

This is a lofty description, but accurate on all accounts.

Board the yacht from the aft, and guests step onto a spacious aft deck in classic nautical themes. For relaxation, there are large lounge pads and two L-shaped seating areas. In addition, sofas, coffee tables, and Director’s chairs exist.  The color scheme of navy blue and white is clean and vibrant. There are also patterned cushions that pull all of the design elements together.

Abeking & Rasmussen – a name synonymous with ultra-luxury yacht charter vessels.

The feeling of openness and the light, yet warm and cozy themes of the aft deck carry throughout the vessel.  Stepping into the main salon, there is a sense of lightness.  Large sofas and armchairs, contemporary artwork, and large windows bathe the room in natural light. These windows offer a spectacular view of the ocean.   Forward of the lounge area of the salon is the open-plan dining area, with lots of glossy wood finishes, trim, and thickly upholstered chairs.  As a whole, the shapes, textures, colors, and materials give the salon an undeniably elegant appeal – perfect for relaxing or entertaining during a charter.

THE MASTER SUITE

Forward of the main salon is the master suite. This is a massive full-beam stateroom, with a spacious office and lounge areas. As expected, the feel is light and clean with the familiar white and navy blue color scheme, patterned carpeting, and soft interior lighting.  The ensuite bathroom features white marble floors, warm woods, and a large tub and shower area. Note – the lounge and office areas of the master suite can be converted into double and twin suites – perfect for a nanny and child, or even security personnel.

ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS

Additional accommodations consist of six double suites and two twins. The four luxurious double suites are located on the lower deck, while a twin cabin and VIP suite are available on the upper deck.   The yacht can accommodate up to 12 charter guests.

A sky lounge on the upper deck is a stylish, informal area for guests to laze and relax. The overall design is exotic and eclectic – and a bit masculine, featuring rugged contemporary shapes and materials, a large sofa, textured armchairs, and a curvy chaise.

UPPER EXTERIOR

Moving up and out to the upper aft deck, guests can enjoy alfresco meals at a large round table, surrounded by comfy armchairs and several lounge areas. This is the ideal deck for outdoor socializing, and a great place to host a soiree during a corporate event such as a Cannes film festival yacht charter. Forward is the Portuguese bridge offering a private conversation area, with sofas, coffee tables, and panoramic views.

SUNBATHERS WELCOME

The award winning 36.2m/118'9" open yacht 'Diamond' was built by AB Yachts in Italy at their Viareggio shipyard. Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Guido de Groot Design and she was delivered to her owner in June 2012. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Marco Arnaboldi.

Diamond has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Diamond is built with a kevlar composite hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V2000 M93) 2,400hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 40 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 49 knots with a range of up to 461 nautical miles from her 18,500 litre fuel tanks. Her low draft of 1.14m/3'9" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 3,200 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) classification society rules.

How Royal Romance, a $200-Million Superyacht, Will Benefit Ukraine

Though superyachts are often seen as the frivolous toys of the wildly rich, one named Royal Romance could soon provide more than just a lavish vacation for those who can afford it. According to The Guardian , a $200-million superyacht once owned by Russian oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk will soon be put up for auction, with the sale funds going directly to supporting the people of Ukraine. 

Medvedchuk, who is currently under sanctions, was arrested in Ukraine in April, though he was sent back to Russia in September through a prisoner exchange. The superyacht was seized in March of this year in Croatia as part of Western-imposed restrictions on the assets of oligarchs. According to the British paper, a Croatian court has recently ruled that the boat can be transferred to a special branch of the Ukrainian government, the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (Arma), and sold at auction to maintain its economic value. 

Royal Romance was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and built in 2015 by Dutch shipbuilders Feadship. Seymour Diamond was responsible for the ship’s interiors. Fit to hold 14 guests and 22 crew members, the 318-foot vessel also includes many notable amenities, including a swimming pool, gym, 3D cinema room, and fully equipped spa. 

Though multiple superyachts have been seized over the past months, this is the first to be auctioned with the funds going directly to Ukrainian people. In September , a yacht owned by Dmitry Pumpyansky was auctioned off, but the sale went to J.P. Morgan, which claimed Pumpyansky owed the investment firm $21.75 million. Though it’s possible more of the seized  yachts will be auctioned to support Ukraine in the future, as The New York Times reported, seizing and auctioning off assets is rarely a straightforward process. In the United States the Justice Department is working to expedite the process, but it can still take years.

Aggies open Bryan-College Station Regional against UAlbany on Friday

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The No. 16 seed Texas A&M softball team hosts UAlbany to open the Bryan-College Station at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Davis Diamond.

Texas A&M (40-13) welcomes Texas State (45-13), Penn State (34-18) and UAlbany (33-12) to the Bryan-College Station Regional. Each game can be streamed on ESPN+ with Brittany McKinney (analyst) and Trey Bender (play-by-play) on the call. All Aggie softball games can be heard on the 12th Man Mobile app or locally on Gospel 97.3 with Matt Simon as the play-by-play voice in his 10th season with Texas A&M softball.

Texas A&M is making its 22nd consecutive appearance in an NCAA regional, which is the seventh longest current active streak in the NCAA. The Aggies are hosting a regional for the 16th time in program history and first at Davis Diamond since 2018. The Aggies are 56-45 all-time in the regional round and are 32-8 when hosting. The Maroon & White are 4-0 against Texas State in regional play, including two wins last season at the Austin regional. The Aggies last played UAlbany in a 2006 regional in Amherst, Massachusetts, winning 6-5, and are 1-2 all-time in regionals against Penn State. Trisha Ford is 13-12 all-time in NCAA regionals as a head coach, while advancing to two super regional appearances and one Women’s College World Series in 2018 at Arizona State.

Junior Koko Wooley has been a headache for opposing teams offensively by swiping extra bases with her world-class speed and defensively when flashing the leather at shortstop. The speedster is heating up entering NCAA postseason batting 13-for-22 with a 1.261 OPS, while adding fives runs and three stolen bases in Texas A&M’s last 10 games. Wooley was recently named to the SEC All-Tournament team hitting 3-for-7 and driving in three runs, including a game-winning two-RBI double to send Texas A&M to its first semifinal appearance in program history. Despite missing a dozen games this season, Wooley’s 49 hits and 18 stolen bases leads the team.

Texas A&M has blasted 60 home runs, including 16 multi-home run games and eight games with at least three round trippers. The Maroon & White are 15-2 this season when recording at least two home runs in a game. Senior Trinity Cannon leads the team with a career-high 15 home runs, while junior Allie Enright and senior Rylen Wiggins are second with 10 bell ringers each. Following each home run, an Aggie slugger is greeted at home plate with the team’s Howdy Hat and Homer the Horse to celebrate.

The Aggies are loaded with players having NCAA postseason action, including Cottrill with Women’s College World Series action after she helped lead the Oklahoma State Cowgirls to Oklahoma City in 2022. Allie Enright was a member of the Arizona Wildcats squad that made the trip in 2022 and Brooke Vestal was on Oklahoma’s national championship roster during the 2021 season. Despite lacking WCWS experience, Arizona State transfer Jazmine Hill has appeared in nine NCAA postseason games boasting a .394 batting average with four home runs, 12 RBI and seven runs scored. Koko Wooley has appeared in eight NCAA postseason games in her Aggie career with a .462 batting average (12-for-26), including one triple and scoring five runs. Four Aggies have logged more than 200 career games played, including transfers Jazmine Hill (231), Julia Cottrill (228), while Rylen Wiggins (222) and Trinity Cannon (207) each have played their entire careers in the Maroon & White.

Fans are highly encouraged to arrive early and have patience for expected traffic and parking congestion around Reed Arena. Spectators planning to attend Friday and Saturday’s softball game can park in lots 100a, 100b, 100c, 100e, 100f and 100g surrounding Reed Arena with a valid Texas A&M permit or by paying $5 cash or card. Parking for Sunday is free.

The first pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC hosted an extraordinary exposition of the 5th International exhibition of yachts and boats Moscow Boat Show. The show had been incredibly famous for five years already not only thanks to the specialists of the market segment as well as professional sportsmen but also thanks to those who consider sailing sport to be their hobby and well cherished dream.

The organizer of the project was the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The show was supported by Aston Martin Moscow, Burevestnik Group logistics department and the Yachting specialized magazine.

The exposition space increased up to 30 000 sq m and was accommodated in all 4 exhibition halls of the fairgrounds! 280 Russian (Arkhangelsk, Vyborg, Kazan, Kaluga, Republic of Karelia, Moscow and Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Yaroslavl region) and foreign ( Denmark , Germany , Holland , Greece , Spain , Italy , Cyprus , China , Latvia , Poland , USA , Turkey , Ukraine, Finland , France , Montenegro and Croatia ) companies participate in the show.

Moscow Boat Show provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the yachting sector, the show continued to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed!

Unique exhibits were presented at the show for the first time: exposition of private submarines from U-Boat Russia company, Marquis Yachts 420 SB motor yacht from Sport Bridge S. Marine series, SAGA-415 yacht from Saga Boats Norwegian shipyard, Jetlev-Flyer from MS Watersports.

Moscow Boat Show a Great Success

More than 400 yachts were displayed within the frames of the event including the largest boats ever exhibited in Russia – the 19-meter giant motor yacht Princess 54 as well as the Princess 50 yacht from Nord Marine and Baja speed boat from Burevestnik.

Domfinland OY unveiled a luxury project from Finnish real estate: a seaside premium class hotel in Hanko named consonant with the location Merihanko.

The trade fair was traditionally opened by a Gala Opening Ceremony. Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of Moscow Boat Show. Nikolay Krjuchek, Deputy Chief of the State Inspection on Small size Vessels (GIMS) of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, Georguiy Shaiduko, Acting President of the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), Olympic champion in Atlanta and Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show also spoke at the ceremony.

The high-ranking guests noted dynamic development of the branch which well reasoned the intensive growth of the exposition and appearance of rather unique “gems”.

A number of business meetings and negotiations were held within the frames of the project: the exhibition was visited by a large delegation of Greek businessmen for the purpose of establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Russian colleagues.

More than 400 yachts on display at the Show

Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS) celebrated its 100 anniversary within the frames of Moscow Boat Show and arranged an exposition of future sailing sport museum (rare awards, gifts, articles from private collections, pictures and etc.) which had been collected since 1912.

Due to carefully chosen running dates the show was visited by more than 26 000 people. The majority of the visitors were of targeted audience – vessel owners and specialists of the branch.

The work at the next edition of the show is under way! The show will be held in March 2013. The overall exhibit space will comprise 40 000 sq m. The exhibition will impress with exclusive exhibits and the latest technological achievements.

Moscow Boat Show was not only an entertaining but at the same time a business promotional event. Participation in the trade fair was a unique opportunity to present a company and products to a distinctly selected targeted audience of industry specialists. They were well prepared to discuss business in the Russian market and even to close a deal on-site.

The show helped representatives of yachting business to get acquainted with their Russian colleagues and gradually improved national yachting market to a new level. It is obvious that for 5 years of its running the project has turned to a status event of the international exhibitions calendar.

Those Wild Cameo Appearances in 'X-Men '97's Finale, Explained

A strong case is being made for a revival of the '90s-era Marvel cartoons.

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for the Season 1 X-Men '97 finale.

The Big Picture

• X-Men '97 Season 1 ended with peace for Xavier and Magneto, saving Earth from extinction.
• Season 1's finale featured multiple Marvel Universe cameos, including Spider-Man and Doctor Doom.
• 'Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3' teases Magneto's family ties and the pictures on Forge's wall show mutants like Kitty Pryde.

X-Men '97 ended its first season on the highest of notes , while also setting the stage for its second season. Not only did the X-Men save the Earth from the dangers of Operation: Zero Tolerance (and an extinction-level event) but Charles Xavier ( Ross Marquand ) and Magneto ( Matthew Waterson ) were able to find a measure of peace. It also features a surprising number of cameos , both from the X-Men mythos and the general Marvel Universe. "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 1" took a similar approach, including X-Men foes like the Silver Samurai and Omega Red, while also featuring other Marvel characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Doom. "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3" kicks things up a notch by increasing the cameos and teasing the appearance of a fan-favorite X-Men character .

A band of mutants use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them; they're challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.

Spider-Man Reappears in ‘X-Men ’97’ and He’s Not Alone

Spider-Man has been a constant presence throughout Season 1 of X-Men '97 , whether it's in the red-and-blue covered flesh or via news articles featuring photographs from his alter ego Peter Parker. It's not surprising, as Spider-Man: The Animated Series was just as much of a draw as X-Men: The Animated Series . Peter Parker does make one final appearance in "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3", as he's among a crowd watching the news that Asteroid M will impact Earth. But he isn't alone, as his wife Mary Jane Watson joins him . Anyone who watched the final season of Spider-Man: The Animated Series knows that it ended with Spidey traveling through time and space to find MJ after she was replaced with a clone by one of his enemies. Her appearance in X-Men '97 hints that Spidey was successful, and lays the groundwork for a potential revival of Spider-Man: The Animated Series down the line.

Daredevil, Doctor Strange, & the Avengers Make Appearances in ‘X-Men ’97′

Spider-Man isn't the only Marvel hero who shows up in "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3". Daredevil winds up fighting Prime Sentinels in Hell's Kitchen , while Captain America ( Josh Keaton ) and Iron Man protect President Robert Kelly from the machines. The Man Without Fear also gets some help in the form of Cloak and Dagger, a pair of teenage runaways turned superheroes. Doctor Strange also shows up, but the Sorcerer Supreme is in the middle of an operation when Magneto's electromagnetic pulse is reversed. One of the biggest appearances features the Black Panther, who successfully defends his kingdom of Wakanda from a Prime Sentinel invasion. However this Black Panther is T'Chaka, the father of T'Challa, which is an interesting shakeup. The Black Panther and the X-Men's lives become intertwined when T'Challa rekindles a childhood romance with Storm ( Alison Sealy-Smith ) in the comics, leading to the two getting married . Morph ( J.P. Karliak ) also briefly shape shifts into Mister Fantastic, linking the 1994 Fantastic Four animated series to X-Men '97's continuity.

Other Mutants, Good & Evil, Show Up in 'X-Men '97'

Even though "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3" addresses the status of other mutants. Silver Samurai and Omega Red both make a reappearance, with the latter having joined forces with the Winter Guard. The Winter Guard are Russia's answer to the Avengers, with each member corresponding to one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The two members of Winter Guard who fight alongside Omega Red are the Crimson Dynamo, who possesses armor similar to Iron Man, and Darkstar, who can tap into the powers of the Darkforce Dimension. The last time the Winter Guard encountered Omega Red in X-Men: The Animated Series they wound up putting him back in stasis. Other members of the Winter Guard, including White Widow and Red Guardian, will be appearing in next year's Thunderbolts .

The mutant team known as Alpha Flight also makes an appearance; their membership consists of the dimunitive yet super strong Puck, the lightning fast twins Aurora and Northstar, and Sasquatch. Alpha Flight is based out of Canada, and previously appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series when they attempted to bring Wolverine ( Cal Dodd ) back to Department H. Alpha Flight is also joined by Betsy Braddock, aka Psylocke , a powerful telepath capable of forming psychic energy into weaponry. Psylocke was a popular member of the X-Men in the '90's, even joining Cyclops' Blue Team.

Magneto’s Family Ties Are Teased in ‘X-Men ’97′

Most of "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3' is set within Xavier and Magento's shared mindscape, as the Master of Magnetism is literally drowning in his own grief. He briefly sees a vision of his loved ones, including Rogue ( Lenore Zann ) and three other mutants, aboard a boat. Those mutants are Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Polaris . All three of them were Magneto's children, and unlike him they took a different path in life. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver joined the Avengers, while Polaris became part of X-Factor in X-Men: The Animated Series . Morph even briefly shapeshifted into Quicksilver during the episode "Bright Eyes." Interestingly enough, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are confirmed to be off world by the end of "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3", meaning that they don't know their father is lost in time with the rest of the X-Men.

Forge's List of Mutants Includes Kitty Pryde

After the X-Men are presumed dead, Forge ( Gil Birmingham ) is shown keeping track of every mutant left on Earth. Forge's board of mutants is a visual homage to the classic Days of Future Past storyline, with mutants being marked as "dead", "missing" or "off-world." There's even a few familiar faces: the steel skinned Colossus and his sister Magik, Emma Frost, Iceman and Havok. But the biggest name has to be Kitty Pryde, aka Shadowcat . First appearing in Uncanny X-Men #129 , Kitty used her budding powers of intangibility to help save the X-Men from the Hellfire Club, and quickly became a major part of the team. Kitty was one of the few mutants who never appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series , but her presence hints that Forge is looking to build a new team of mutants to protect the world in the X-Men's absence.

“As it was time for me to get myself a new pair of boots, I thought this might be a good way to help our Meat Free Monday campaign celebrate its 15th anniversary,” McCartney said in a statement. “Me and my boots have great memories of that special evening at the Olympic opening ceremony in London.
