Amazing experience! We left the dock around 5:30 and had a 2 hour boat ride. Perfect time to catch our beautiful SD sunset. The captain and assistant were so cool and nice! We were able to bring our own food + drinks and celebrate our best friend's bday with her fave snacks, wine + bday cake! The boat was super nice + clean. Loved every moment of our experience, especially the dolphin friends that were with us.

We set sail for a friends 40th birthday and Captain Kurt and Jen were amazing, friendly and inviting. We had such a good time taking in San Diego waters, relaxing, eating, drinking and celebrating. The boat has everything and is super clean. We had brunch plans after so we didn't jump in or take advantage of any of the water rentals but we definitely will be back to do all that. Highly recommend getting out there and sailing with Malarky Charters. Change up the scene from your normal birthday celebrations.

Malarky Charters has provided my friends and I with countless enjoyable cruise adventures. Last year for my 29th birthday my friends and I chartered the Malarky catamaran while we pumped music, danced and socialized. The crew is always so accommodating and we always have a great time.

malarkey catamaran san diego

Had a most excellent time on a Malarkey charter boat for a birthday party we had. The boat is very nice and really comfortably fits the max of 12 people...plenty of places to sit and hang out, both inside and outside, at the back and at the front of the boat. There's also a fridge and plenty of table space to store the food and beverage we brought on board. Also, having a bathroom on board was really key...nobody wanted to stress about being out on the water and not having access to one...especially when folks are drinking . The booking process was really easy to do online, and I was able to email them ahead of time when I had questions and they answered them all. Our party had a great time, and the captain accommodated where we wanted to go or not go out on the water. The staff also helped along the way with things like taking pictures, helping with beverages, and even pointing out dolphins! Everyone has a great time and we'll surely do it again. Highly recommended.

malarkey catamaran san diego

I cannot recommend Malarky Charters more! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay for a wedding and so the charter as a pre-wedding cruise around the bay and ocean. The captain took us on a course based on what we wanted (ocean riding and sightseeing) and calmer waters for dinner. The staff was so nice, gracious and helped us feel relaxed. We ordered food through the Hyatt and they helped set it up for us and got our drinks ready so we could have the ultimate trip! If you are staying at the hotel or not, I would 100% recommend doing a cruise with them!

malarkey catamaran san diego

Well worth the money. The boat is insanely cool, although we basically all sat upfront or in the rear section. Booked the Malarky for a 3-hour tour that involved a cruise in the ocean and then back to the bay for swimming and playing with their water toys. There's a TV below deck if you feel like being anti-social and watching TV, along with beds and an indoor area to get out of the sun. They have two large coolers, so you really don't need to bring one unless... well, unless you want to. Brian and Trevor were our captains. The environment was a safe one and the experience was quintessential San Diego Sunday.

Carly at the front desk was amazing! She answered all my questions. She called me back promptly and also replied to emails quickly. We booked and then had to change our departure time, but she changed our time in minutes. So far the service has been outstanding and I can't wait for our Birthday cruise.

Photo of Ashlyn H.

Always have the best time on the Malarky Catamaran! The crew is always so helpful and accommodating! We always bring a few bottles of wine and eThis trip I accidentally booked the boat for the wrong date, when we got there nobody was there because we messed up dates, thought it was going to be a bust, but after calling the company they had 2 captains out there in 15 minutes to get us on, even though it was our mess up. Best of the best! Bonus points because we also saw a whale which was pretty cool!

malarkey catamaran san diego

AMAZING experience and even better customer service! I went on one of the Catamarans last summer to celebrate the birthday of my friends. We met at the dock, loaded the boat, and departed right on time. I don't know much about boats, but I can say that this boat was extremely clean and spacious. We hung out on the front, put our stuff inside, and used the table inside for food and drinks. There are 2 (or more?) bathrooms. We played music throughout the boat as we circled around the bay to downtown and back. The service on the boat was amazing. I just reached out to them for a question and they responded to me with help immediately. I cannot speak highly enough about this place! Highly recommend!!

Photo of Kevin M.

They didn't honor our emailed confirmed reservation (55%off) because"their new booking system wasn't synced yet". Weirdly they did honor the other parties full price reservation! Yes I'm being sarcastic. Their solution was to give us a free pontoon boat for the afternoon and offer a sunset cruise comped. Then they subsequently rescinded the comped offer after they spoke to the general manager! Geez. The pontoon boat had no shade, no bathroom and no ladder to get back into the boat. Not exactly a high end charter experience. Very poor customer service full of Malarky!!!! Our family fun afternoon was not the experience we were looking forward too. Yes we got to spend some fun family time. But making the best of a bad situation with a poorly maintained pontoon boat was disappointing when we planned a luxury catamaran cruise.

What’s it Like to be Aboard a Luxurious Catamaran? – San Diego Luxury Sailing Charter

Malarky Sailing Charter | Image 1 | Mission Bay Sportcenter

A luxury sailing charter in San Diego is a unique experience that everyone should have in their lives. Imagine celebrating special moments with friends and family aboard a luxurious catamaran charter, with a crew at your disposal and drinks all around. Memorable, to say the least, right? In this blog post, we’ve covered everything you need to know about Malarky Charters in San Diego and the best sailing cruises available.

Things to do in San Diego

On the Pacific Coast, San Diego is the go-to place for parks, beaches, and watersports. In fact, San Diego is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the USA. There could be many reasons for it, but we suspect it’s because of the great weather year-round and all the fantastic activities tourists and locals get to experience out here.

As far as fun and unique experiences go, San Diego is the place to beat, especially if you’re into watersports or like to enjoy the ocean. What better way to the take in the Pacific ocean, than to go in it? Plus, the view of the coastline from the sea is sensational.

Watersports and Activities

In San Diego, people get to do more than just go to the beach and dip their toes in the water. They get to experience the ocean in many different ways. Best of all, there’s something for everyone. Those looking for adventure, get to experience the flyboard, jet skiing and much more. But, if your goal is to relax and have an amazing time with your partner, family or friends then a sailing charter is the way to go.

Sailing Charter in San Diego

Whether you’ve been in San Diego your entire life or are just visiting for a few days, chartering a boat in San Diego is a must, if you want to enjoy the best things life has to offer.

You can choose between many different vessels and rent by the hour. Depending on which one you rent, you will sail it on your own or get a crew. For instance, a yacht charter will, most likely, have its own crew to pilot it while you sit back, chill and enjoy the view.

San Diego is the perfect spot for such an extraordinary experience as is a sailing charter. When you’re out in the ocean, you get to look back at the coastline and take in that magnificent view. Plus, you can dive from the boat, enjoy the water and come back aboard to relax.

How to go About a Sailing Charter in San Diego?

When you decide to get a boat in San Diego, the first step is to find a boat charter, which you already did, Mission Bay Sportcenter. Getting your vessel from a reliable and experienced place will ensure you’ll enjoy the day without any concerns.

Another crucial decision is to select the kind of charter you want. At MBSC, you can choose from dive charters and private sailing yachts to the luxurious Malarky Catamaran.

What’s the Malarky Catamaran?

Any vessel that’s for rest is technically considered a yacht, which means the catamarans also are yachts. The difference between this vessel and others is that it’s a two-case yacht. The catamaran, unlike one-case yachts, doesn’t bend on one board or heel at strong winds or waves. Instead, it moves smoothly, and passengers are usually not swayed.

Regarding luxury and comfort, the catamaran is practically a house on the water. It’s a massive yacht, and it’s as comfortable as it gets. Since it’s a two-case yacht, its capacity is also doubled, which means you get more than everything you need for a relaxed day with family and friends.

More about the Malarky Charter in San Diego

The Malarky catamaran is a luxurious sailing catamaran built to combine sail power with the most comfortable cruise. The Malarky catamaran is the definition of a “Bluewater” vessel, perfect for San Diego’s Pacific coast.

The indoor living space of this catamaran is second to none. Here is a sneak-peek of the luxury accommodations:

  • Four queen beds
  • Outdoor lounge deck and dining table
  • Indoor lounge and dining table
  • Up to 12 passengers

For the sailors out there who know all about boats, this one has a 47′ length, dual hull catamaran design, and two engines.

Why go Sailing on a Malarky Charter?

The reason why Malarky charters are so popular is simple – it’s unlike any other experience you’ve ever had. Nothing compares to the feeling of being out in the water, on a luxurious vessel, all to yourself and your group. At that moment, when you’re on the catamaran charter sailing away into the sunset, it becomes your yacht. While your crew manages everything, you get to enjoy an afternoon like never before.

Whether you’re having a corporate event or an intimate family gathering, the yacht charter will make you feel like you and your guests are on top of the world. Also, the yacht can be only the beginning of the fun. Once out in the water, everyone on board can go swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, jet skiing or try many other activities.

Fun Aboard Your Sailing Charter

A catamaran is the perfect sailing cruise for a celebration with friends or a get-together with the family. It has space to accommodate people comfortably, and you can spend quality time with those you love. Imagine surprising your partner with a day out on a yacht like this. It would definitely earn you some extra points.

When it comes to your charter in San Diego, the possibilities are endless. Here are some of the most popular events on a sailing charter like the Malarky catamaran:

A Special Day Out With Your Friends and Family Aboard

Picture this, while you relax, eat and drink with your friends, the crew takes care of everything, and the catamaran smoothly cuts through Mission Bay. You get a fantastic view of San Diego’s coastline and to hang out with your friends like never before. During the sailing trip, you can also go jet skiing, snorkeling and enjoy the inflatable water slide.

Corporate Events Aboard the Malarky

Whether you want to impress one of your clients or throw a staff party that will show your employees how much you appreciate them, this sailing charter in San Diego is the way to go. That’s how you make a fantastic lasting impression about your company.

Wedding on the Pacific Ocean

Can you imagine, having your closest friends and family around, all aboard the charter to witness and celebrate your vows to your loved one? The San Diego coastline and the Pacific ocean definitely make the perfect backdrop. It doesn’t get more special than a ceremony on a yacht.

Fun activities and cruises

The best part about a sailing cruise on a catamaran charter is that it can be the starting point for countless fun activities and you can have different destinations. At Malarky Charters, you can choose amongst many exciting cruises, from sunset cruises, wind & wine to whale watching, movie night and beyond.

Sunset Cruises

The perfect end to a vacation day is to take a sunset cruise on a sailing charter in San Diego. It’s an excellent opportunity to relax and enjoy a beautiful evening with friends and family while sipping drinks and having a good time. Get ready for one of those cinematic, breathtaking views.

Wind & Wine

When you’re looking for a relaxed sunset sail and an upscale experience, this is the malarky charter cruise for you. Try different wines and drinks from all over the world while the luxurious catamaran glides over the Pacific Ocean, and San Diego’s coast gets further and further away.

La Jolla Tours

If you want to spend some quality time with your family and create an experience they will never forget, this is your sailing cruise. This cruise takes you aboard the Malarky and sails to the enigmatic La Jolla Shores. It’s the perfect place to go kayaking to explore the sea caves and snorkeling to see the marine life up close.

Whale Watching

For those of you looking for a breathtaking experience, this is it. From May to November, the ocean brings warm waters to the coast, which means we get to see humpback whales, finback whales and thousands of dolphins swimming by.

Movie Night

At the Hyatt dock, Mission Bay Sportcenter, you get to sit comfortably in your Malarky charter, in the middle of the bay and watch movies. It’s a fun experience for your family, and you get to relax in a luxurious yacht.

Such a blast!

My friends and I rented Malarky Charters for my birthday and it was such a blast! We loved how you were able to bring your own food and drinks on the boat, and the crew was super helpful with hooking up music. Such a fun birthday!

We all had the best trip ever. The crew was super friendly. We got to enjoy paddle boarding. I would love to do it again.

This is the 4th time I've been on Malarky Charters and love it every time. The staff are always professional which makes booking with them a must when we're planning an event. 3 birthday's and 1 batchlorett party and looking to book our staff retreat this summer. Book and event with them and you won't be disappointed 😁

I found a Groupon advertising Malarkey Catamaran trips. My family and I love sailing so we figured we would try it out. We had 10 friends and family members. This was so much more than we could have imagined! The staff was amazing! Our friends and family had such a great time relaxing on and below deck. Our friends and family were so impressed. It was the perfect day. So excited to do this again!

A group of 10 of us went for a 2 hr sunset Cruise on Friday night. We had such an amazing time !! The boat is drop dead gorgeous, and the crew is completely capable of accomadating a person who may need to rest, make a phone call, or just needs a space to themselves for a little bit. Our crew was made of 2 people (Mike & Trevor) who did such an awesome job, they brought us by dolphins so we could watch them play and even angled the boat for photos. I can't wait to be able to go out again!

SAN DIEGO, CA-MAY 9: Waitor Miguel Diaz goes over the menu with customers at Fort Oak Restaurant

“Créanlo o no, he tenido muchas llamadas con mis colegas y algunos dicen, no sé qué voy a hacer.”

¿Recortar costos o aumentar precios?

Obviamente, esperamos no hacerlo.
