Rated Top Luxury Yacht in Chicago 6 years in a row. Party for up to 12 friends and family. We charter three times a day 10am-2pm, 2:30pm-6:30pm and 7pm-11pm. 8 hour blocks available. Captains fee is not included. Capacity and Location: We can accommodate up 12 adults + captain and crew for the 2024 season. She is privately owned and has more than enough room for 12 guests. She has a huge sundeck out front, and a great swim platform area to allow you to enjoy the sun. If you are feeling like being in some shade, the second story has a great table that seats 8 to hang out or have dinner. With 2 refrigerators on board as well as an ice chest, you can guarantee all your drinks will be cold and with our upgraded from factory sound system, you can jam out while enjoying any activity. We specialize in coastline and river cruises during day or night. As the sun falls, we can make a romantic time under the stars or watching the fireworks. Yacht Meets All Us Coast Guard Safety Requirements. Yacht Also Has All Required Permits, Insurance, And Safety Equipment. Per USCG regulations we are not allowed to provide you with a captain. You are welcome to either supply your own captain that meets all of the owner and USCG regulations or you may choose a captain from a list of 5 to 10 pre-approved captains that we have vetted and are familiar with our vessel. Captain’s fee is separate and paid directly to the captain. Their average rate is $100/hour. Gratuity is not included (20% is standard). Once you book with us we will provide you with the list of captains. What to Bring: • Towels • Sunscreen • Food & Drinks (Alcohol is allowed) • Music phone/iPod (Bluetooth hookup) Optional locations include: City Winery on the River, other harbors for joint parties with other boats.

Will definitely be booking again! I celebrated my 24th birthday with some friends and it was an amazing experience. The owner responded quickly and answered ALL questions. The price was great for 4 hours on a BEAUTIFUL day and the Debonair was exactly as pictured! Captain Jim was amazing! We enjoyed talking and learning from him! Do not hesitate to book!!

First let me say how kind, funny and accommodating Captain Jim is. He explained everything we needed to know. He provided us with ice and water. He took an amazing route along the lake! The vessel itself is beautiful. Comfortably accommodating for 12 ppl. We had the 7p-11p sail and was able to catch the fireworks at the end of the night. 10/10! We’ll definitely be booking again!

Great boat and captain! We loved the experience. Overall, best trip yet. Just make a note that the captain "tip and fee" are not included in the quote and when we heard from the captain he was cool and explained why - but it was quite misleading to not read this in the quote or listing somewhere ahead of time. We were sent the "fine print" about the laws around this after the fact. Just be aware. Overall, great choice for a boat and captain and we'd book them again. Thanks!

Edwards boat was absolutely amazing. My friends and I really enjoyed it. I even recommended it to a few friends in the future. It’s exactly as the listing and his recommendation of Captain Jim was even awesome! From now on, I will only be renting with Edwards boat moving forward! Thank you again.

We all know the weather in Chicago changes all the time and 5 days before a sunny day could be all rain. The cancel policy is 5 days since weather dot com usually does a good job letting you know what to expect. If you need to cancel day of, we will make an exception and do a 50% refund back regardless of the reason or reschedule to another date.

The latest collaboration between humphreys yacht design and our in-house design studio, the new 495 50 foot sailing yacht is an evolution of five decades of iconic oyster design cues..

Her clean hull lines and wide beam aft are the foundation for the outstanding space and capabilities of the Oyster 495. She incorporates many of our big yacht features in a compact 50 foot yacht. Instantly recognisable as an Oyster, the Oyster 495 features our pioneering deck saloon, protected cockpit and helm stations, wraparound and forward-opening saloon windows. Flush decks, signature triple vertical seascape windows, foredeck skyscape windows, a powerful plumb bow and extended bowsprit complete the look.

We were the first boat builder to create a truly ergonomically designed cockpit and helm positions, with sprayhood and optional bimini for additional protection. Details like the cockpit table, with optional built-in refrigerated drinks locker, that comfortably seats up to eight people, is just one of the many triumphs of Oyster design thinking.

The Oyster 495 consistently delivers powerful, responsive and rewarding performance in safety and comfort.

Nine knots is her happy place and her well-balanced, stable wide-beamed hull form gives you confidence to keep the sails up in almost any conditions. Twin rudders make her light and agile on the helm, offering fingertip control even in the most boisterous seas. The fuel and water are positioned over the center of buoyancy, so the trim is never affected by your fluid levels, and all that weight is concentrated where it benefits performance the most. Boat owners will often move into the 50 foot yacht range when looking to do more than simple day boating excursions. While still typically owner-operated, a 50 foot yacht provides increased flexibility with regards to living spaces and can offer a wide array of amenities that suit your tastes and needs while on the water.

When moving up into the 50 foot range, yacht owners can begin expecting three stateroom layouts. With new technology and yacht design processes, owners can expect an impressive combination of interior spaciousness without sacrificing a sporty and sleek look.

BUYING A 50 FOOT YACHT

While the charter guests who appear on Below Deck have a great time while filming the show, many aren't invited back for a number of reasons.

• Some charter guests on Below Deck have caused unnecessary drama and won't likely return due to bad behavior.
• Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht faced backlash from Barrie, who called him two-faced.
• Former guest Dr. Francis Martinis will not return to Below Deck after he was arrested for faking prescriptions.

The Below Deck franchise has featured many charter guests since 2013, many of whom will never return . The Bravo series focuses on expensive charters with wealthy guests who have attitude problems and over-the-top demands. That includes Charter guest Alexis Bellino, who boarded Captain Lee Rosbach’s yacht with her boyfriend at the time, Andy Bohn. She was disrespectful and made everyone uncomfortable with her and Andy's PDA. She even insulted crew members after featuring on the show.

Like Alexis, Delores Flora from Below Deck season 8 was a terrible guest. Not only did she misbehave, but she also got drunk and s wam while intoxicated, which is not only not allowed, it frightened the crew members. Delores got kicked out of the yacht the next day. These guests created unnecessary drama on the boat and will likely never return like a few others from the franchise.

8 barrie & tony, below deck sailing yacht.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow had a decent time in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht seasons 2 and 3. Despite that, they left with a bitter taste because of Captain Glenn Shephard. In 2021, Barrie participated in a podcast, Pita Party: The Podcast , where he claimed that Captain Glenn bothered him while using his phone .

Barrie said, “he (Captain Glenn) was a two-face b*stard,” adding that he just didn’t like his presence.

7 Frank Fay

Below deck mediterranean.

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 7, Charter guest Frank Fay had a thing for second stew Kyle Viljoen. He pursued him on the yacht, but unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last. Frank will likely never return to the series as long as Captain Sandy Yawn allows Kyle to work for her. Even if Kyle quits, Frank wouldn’t want to be in an environment that would remind him of his failed relationship.

6 Erica Rose

Erica Rose appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht two seasons in a row. Erica was highly offensive toward the crew member, as well as her husband, Charles Sanders, and to make things worse, she left the crew with a measly tip , leading fans to slam her on social media. Ultimately, Erica had to apologize for her bad attitude but never returned to give the crew the tip they deserved. Nobody on Below Deck Sailing Yacht would ever want to return.

He joined his friend, Kim, who wanted to enjoy a luxury yacht trip. It was more of a one-and-done deal. Secondly, nobody recognized him at all. Viewers later realized who he was and how he was the runner-up on American Idol season 1. Justin is a theatre artist and has made a name for himself. However, it was embarrassing that so many fans had no clue who he was .

Johnny Damon’s time at Below Deck Med was full of explosive moments. Once, he sent the food back, citing that the experience wasn’t “five stars.” On another occasion, his wife, Michelle, created drama by yelling at the owner of another yacht . Overall, the experience was simply terrible on both sides. Crew members didn’t love Johnny and his wife, and the couple didn’t respect the crew members. It is unlikely that Captain Sandy would want to host the couple again as long as she’s in charge.

3 Krystal Murphy

Former charter guest Krystal Murphy boarded Captain Lee’s yacht with her friends. She immediately began showing red flags, drinking, and just being a menace. Krystal fought with her friend, Chelsea, creating unnecessary drama. She even passed out and punched a friend in the face. Former Chief Stew Kate Chastain disliked serving Krystal and called her a “spoiled brat;” she wanted to throw her off the yacht. Nowadays, Krystal has seemingly become a more private person. It doesn’t seem like Krystal would want to be on TV again.

2 Steve Bradley

Below Deck fans should remember Steve Bradley as he made many appearances on the show. In Below Deck season 3, he wanted a foam party and demanded the crew to figure it out and follow his commands, acting like a king. In Below Deck season 6, Steve made more outrageous requests. Apart from being a wild guest, Steve was entitled and acted inappropriately at times . No Below Deck captain would want to host him again as he didn't come off as very likable.

1 Dr. Francis Martinis

Dr. Francis Martinis from Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht has a zero chance of returning. While the former charter guest didn’t have too many issues on the show, his personal life issues will stop him from appearing on Bravo again. According to TMZ , Dr. Francis and his wife, Jessica, were arrested for filling out fake prescriptions in December 2023 . The couple used the names of Below Deck stars and got caught red-handed. The Below Deck franchise would never want to welcome felons, especially when their mugshots are all over the internet.

Mengi Yay lays keel of first yacht in 52m Nuvolari Lenard series

Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay has laid the keel of the first unit in its 52.4-metre series, the NL 50 Plus. The ceremony was held in the shipyard's facilities in Istanbul, with online participation from the Nuvolari Lenard team.

Developed in collaboration with Camper & Nicholsons , the custom superyacht will be built to "an advantageous timeframe" and has a "highly efficient" hull designed by Van Oossanen . 

The NL 50 Plus features "one of the largest sundecks in her category", made complete with a custom heated spa pool and fire pit. Another highlight is the yacht's stern, designed as a vast beach club area with a drop-down platform that extends the sea terrace over the water. It also features an integrated custom pool.

Accommodation includes a 50-square-metre owner's cabin that incorporates a drawer-style, slide-out terrace. Guest accommodation is across four VIP cabins on the lower deck. 

"The sliding balcony has a couple of modes – when closed, it leaves a little space outside where you can hang out by opening the window door," said naval architect and co-founder Carlo Nuvolari. "It’s perfect to take the air or to enjoy the view of the sea and surroundings day or night. When you slide the balcony out, the rail moves into place automatically which means you can operate it and enjoy it in total privacy." 

Interiors are entirely customisable, though the team at Nuvolari Lenard have multiple décor options prepared for the prospective owner. Other leisure highlights include the foredeck lounge, which doubles as an open-air cinema and storage space for a seven-metre tender and variety of water toys.

"Our experience and the partnership with Mengi Yay and Camper & Nicholsons will be hugely beneficial," added Nuvolari. "We have all the Nuvolari Lenard Plus Capsule engineered and there is an NL 50 Plus in the shipyard , so the building process is underway and it is not just a drawing. Working with Camper & Nicholson's means we can also draw on their experience to make the communication, coordination and control of the projects much easier."

Charity hopes to send second food aid ship to Gaza in next few days

The charity sending food aid to Gaza on a ship travelling across the Mediterranean from Cyprus is loading a second boat with supplies, which it hopes will set off in the coming days.

Pallets containing 300 tonnes of food aid – 50% more than the first shipment – are expected to be screened and loaded by the end of Thursday, but there is no indication yet when it will leave the port of Larnaca.

The supplies include cans of beans, carrots, tuna, chickpeas and corn, plus parboiled rice, flour, oil and salt.

The UN has warned that at least 576,000 people in Gaza – a quarter of the population – are on the brink of famine and global pressure has been growing on Israel to allow more access to the territory.

Janez Lenarčič, the EU’s humanitarian aid and crisis management chief, said on Thursday there were already pockets of famine in Gaza, and warned it could spread to the whole region. He urged Israel to open more road routes to deliver aid.

The first ship, which is towing a barge loaded with 200 tonnes of aid, enough for half a million meals, is expected to arrive on the Gaza coast in the coming days after leaving Larnarca on Tuesday .

World Central Kitchen (WCK), a US-based food aid charity working with the governments of Cyprus and the UAE and the Spanish NGO Open Arms, had an additional 500 tonnes of aid in Cyprus ready to be loaded in what it hoped would be a series of journeys across the Mediterranean, which have been given the name Operation Safeena, meaning boat or vessel in Arabic.

Theodoros Gotsis, spokesperson for Cyprus’s foreign ministry, said the Spanish-flagged aid ship was making “good progress” and was on course for the Gaza coast. It was taking longer than expected to arrive because the boat was by necessity moving very slowly. Tracking apps had “been jammed” because the ship was sailing in seas off a war zone where communication was patchy, he said.

It was still uncertain on Thursday how the aid would be unloaded and distributed once it reached the Gaza coastline. WCK volunteers and others in Gaza are building a jetty from the rubble of buildings destroyed in Israeli bombing during the past five months.

Gaza was the “most politically complex environment WCK has operated in”, its founder, the Michelin-starred chef José Andrés, said on the charity’s website at the weekend. A spokesperson said on Thursday that plans for docking and distribution were being continually adapted.

Gaza health ministry officials, meanwhile, said six people had been killed and dozens wounded when the Israeli military opened fire as crowds waited for aid trucks in Gaza City on Wednesday evening. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the incident.

It is the latest in a series of chaotic scenes and deadly incidents at aid distributions as desperately hungry people scramble for food. More than 100 people were killed last month as they waited for an aid delivery near Gaza City. Palestinian health authorities said Israeli forces shot them, while Israel said the victims had been trampled or run over.

Aid agencies in recent days have sought to vary routes for convoys to avoid large numbers of people gathering and potentially stopping convoys. “The problem is there are very few routes to take, and all are very difficult to travel on. There have been tanks driving up and down them for months and they are basically just strips of rubble now. So people can predict where the trucks are going to be,” said an NGO official in Gaza, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The White House called for a swift investigation into an Israeli airstrike this week on a UN food distribution facility in Gaza.

Israel said the strike had killed a Hamas commander whom it targeted, and Palestinian health officials said it had killed four more people, including a UN worker.

On Wednesday, R Adm Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for the Israeli military, said Israel would try to “flood” the Gaza Strip with humanitarian aid from multiple entry points.

More convoys would follow six aid trucks with supplies from the World Food Programme that entered the northern part of the Gaza Strip this week through a crossing in the security fence known as the 96th gate. There would also be deliveries from other entry points, complemented by airdrops and seaborne aid cargoes, Hagari said.

Hamas was reported by local media to have killed the head of a powerful family in the territory for stealing aid and having contact with Israel. There was no immediate confirmation of the claim, but earlier this week Hamas threatened to execute “collaborators”. Tensions in Israel and the occupied territories remain high ahead of the first Friday prayers of Ramadan. Hamas has called for a “day of escalation”, and thousands of police have been deployed around Jerusalem’s Old City.

On Thursday, Netanyahu met families of hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza and said he had little positive news. The Israeli prime minister said there had been no “real response” to terms offered for a ceasefire earlier this month.

“They are still clinging to unacceptable demands ... They do not want to make progress. They want to ignite the ground during Ramadan. This is their attempt; this is their goal,” he said.
