Eyach-Runde

Nur teilweise gewandert, sehr schön an der Eyach entlang. ...

Eine idyllische Rundwanderung mit dem Wasserwegle entlang der plätschernden Eyach als Highlight der Tour.

Es besteht die Wahlmöglichkeit zwischen 3 Tour-Varianten, weil mehrerer Wege von der Eyachmühle zum Lehmanshof führen.  

Variante 1: Eyachmühle - auf dem "Dobler Sträßle" (auch "Dobel-Wildbad-Sträßle") über die Brücke auf die rechte Eyachseite -  immer auf dem  Weg am unteren Talhang bleiben ( nicht auf die links abbiegenden Wege wie "Pfeiffersweg", "Schaiblesweg" einschwenken) - "Hirschbrunnen" - "Lehmannshof". Zurück auf dem sogenannten "Wasserweg", der unmittelbar am Bach verläuft. Weiter über die Behelfsbrücke oberhalb der kleinen Staustufe der Mannenbach-Wasserversorgung zum geteerten Eyachtalsträßchen bis zum Ausgangspunkt Eyachmühle.

Variante 2: Eyachmühle  - auf dem geteerten Eyachtalsträßchen bis zum Seerosenteich, vorbei am "Paul-Ochner-Brunnen",  bis zum Lehmannshof. Zurück wie Variante 1.

Einkehr im Gasthaus "Eyachmühle" (Tal) oder in den Restaurants im Hauptort Dobel (Höhe).

Sicherheitshinweise

Die Passage Wasserweg ist etwa 2,5 km lang und verläuft größtenteils unmittelbat am Ufer der Eyach. Einige Stellen sind unwegsam, zeitweise schlammig oder stehen unter Wasser. Körperliche Fitness und gutes Schuhwerk sind unbedingt erforderlich.

Die Wanderung verläuft gänzlich auf Flächen, die als Naturschutz-, Landschafts- und Vogelschutzgebiete ausgewiesen sind. Die entsprechenden Hinweise und Regeln sind unbedingt einzuhalten.

Die wichtigsten Regeln

• die Wege nicht verlassen (Trittbelastungen schädigen die Vegetation, seltene Pflanzen sterben ab. Typische Vogelarten werden vertrieben, begonnene Bruten verlassen.)
• Hunde nicht frei laufen lassen (Brütende oder nahrungssuchende Tiere werden vertrieben.)
• Pflanzen nicht entnehmen oder beschädigen (Jedes Pflücken oder Ausgraben beschleunigt das Aussterben gefährdeter Arten.)
• Tiere nicht beunruhigen, fangen oder verletzen (Im Naturschutzgebiet soll eine ungestörte Entwicklung von Tieren möglich sein.)
• kein Feuer machen (Pflanzen und Kleintiere verbrennen, brütende Tierarten werden vertrieben.)
• keine Abfälle oder anderes Material lagern oder wegwerfen (Biotope werden dadurch zerstört.)
• nicht reiten (Durch den Hufschlag wird die Vegetation geschädigt und Tiere werden vertrieben.)
• keinen Lärm verursachen oder Tiere beunruhigen (Vor allem die scheuen und deshalb in ihrer Existenz bedrohten Tiere verlassen das Biotop und verlieren damit ihren Lebensraum.)

Wegbeschreibung

Variante 1: Vom Parkplatz beim Gasthaus "Eyachmühle" geht es zunächst über die Brücke auf dem sogenannten "Dobler Sträßle" (auch "Dobel-Wildbad-Sträßle") mäßig aufwärts. In der Haarnadelkurve verlassen wir das Sträßchen und gehen geradeaus, immer unterhalb des vom Orkan "Lothar" stark heimgesuchten "Tiefengrunds" und "Nasskittelbergs". Wir passieren den Abzweig  des "Schaibleswegs" und im weiteren Verlauf auch den "Hirschbrunnen" und erreichen mit einem kleinen Abstieg den ehemaligen "Lehmannshof" mit Schutzhütte und Grillplatz.

Der Rückweg zur Eyachmühle führt vom Grillplatz zunächst über Wiese auf der dort befindlichen "Birken-Allee". Im Anschluss daran beginnt der etwas anspruchsvolle Pfad entlang der Eyach, der sogenannte "Wasserweg". Anspruchsvoll deshalb, weil zum Teil quer zu Pfadrichtung verlaufende kleiner Bäche für "tiefen Boden" sorgen und oft Felsbrocken überstiegen oder umgangen werden müssen. An einigen Stellen teilt sich der Pfad und es gibt eine obere und untere Passage. Die Reste eines alten Stauwehrs liegen genauso auf der Strecke wie die Reste von "Wasserfallen", die einst zur Bewässerung der Wiesen rechts der Eyach dienten. Auf diesen zwischen Wald und Bach gelegenen Wiesen und deren Rändern hat sich eine "angepasste Fauna" eingestellt.  Neben dem Rauschen des Baches vermitteln diese gewissermaßen "isolierten Wiesen" Idylle und Ruhe, was so sonst für nur sehr wenige Täler des Nordschwarzwaldes zutrifft. Über die Behelfsbrücke oberhalb der kleinen Staustufe der Mannenbach-Wasserversorgung gelangen wir zum geteerten Eyachtalsträßchen, auf dem wir talwärts nach etwa 1 km wieder den Ausgangspunkt Eyachmühle erreichen.

Variante 2: Auf dem geteerten Eyachtalsträßchen talaufwärts, vorbei am Seerosenteich, dem Paul-Ochner-Brunnen und einem alten Steinbruch, bis zum Lehmannshof. Zurück wie Variante 1.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Leider ist der Startpunkt nicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.

Von allen Bus-Haltestellen in Dobel (Höhe) bietet sich eine Wanderung  ins Eyachtal (4 km) zum Startpunkt an.

Die Dobler Bushaltestellen werden von den Linien 716, 719 und X63 angefahren.

Auf der L340 von Bad Herrenalb oder von Straubenhardt/Enztal kommend bis Dobel. Weiter über die Ortsverbindungsstraße von Dobel (Höhe) nach Dobel (Eyachmühle).

Von der B 294 im Enztal über die Eyachbrücke auf dem schmalen Talsträßchen bis zur Eyachmühle.

Very nice path (Trail S1) always along the Eyach, ends upstream at Lehmannshof in an avenue with a barbecue area, shelter with hut book. However, you should wear good shoes.

A very great way along the Eyach. There is always something to discover and marvel at. For big and small hikers a great experience for the big ones there are beautiful wildly romantic spots for a picnic in nature for the little ones a river to explore, splash around, watch fish and other animals, ... and much more. The path is easy to walk, almost always in the shade, no problem, even with children and provisions. For a family outing, you can drive to the Eyachtalmühle and start your adventure from there.

The path along the Eyach is always an experience. Pure nature, with all facets (plants, flowers, stream, insects, animals,...). And then a detour to the Demeter Restaurant. A leisurely picnic on the meadows by the Eyach is also highly recommended. Especially on hot summer days you can cool down a little here.

Wonderful to go in summer, as it is always shady and a few degrees cooler. The Eyach offers in some places nice ways to cool off as a 2 or 4-legged.

A beautiful path along the Eyach. From the former Lehmannshof almost to the Eyachmühle. Fastened with sandstones in some places. Otherwise (forest) soil and roots. Mostly in the shade and sometimes right next to the stream. Very pleasant to walk in summer. For me, THE highlight in the Eyachtal. Good shoes are a must here. It is very slippery in some places, especially in winter. Of course, late at night there isn't that much going on here.

Worth seeing in every season. Maybe not if it could be smooth. It can be really slippery then. Very natural, with a few small lakes in the stream thanks to small impoundments. A must for families with children! Also ideal for water-hungry dogs.

Ernst Café in Troy, Ohio: Where Coffee Artistry Supports the Arts

Do you enjoy smooth, creamy coffee and friendly baristas? I sure do! Through my love of Pettibone coffee , a small batch roaster out of Dayton, Ohio, I stumbled across Ernst Café. They not only serve the locally roasted beans; they sell it, too. Attached to the Arbogast Performing Arts Center (APAC) in Troy, Ohio, Ernst Café opened its doors in May of 2023. The café offers a variety of specialty coffees, a rotation of pastries, along with a seasonal drink menu.

Upon entering the café, you are greeted by the friendliest baristas and the industrial vibe makes the perfect ambiance. You then make your way to the live edge Redwood counter where you place your order. The coffee drinks always come out consistent, smooth and creamy. If you order a latte, you’ll get a flair of latte art on top!

My favorite drinks are Sweet Dream, Lavender Lady, and the newest Rosemary and Honey latte. Every visit, I look forward to my caffeine fix! If coffee isn’t your thing, try a Shimmering Watermelon Lemonade or Mango Matcha from their seasonal menu. Oh, and don’t forget to grab a punch card. The 11th drink is free!

I was so happy to discover Ernst Café that I reached out to the manager, Ainsley Savard to find out more about it. Here’s some insider details from Ainsley on this hidden gem!

How did Ernst Café come to be?

Ernst Café is a branch of the Arbogast Performing Arts Center (APAC), a non-profit performing arts center in Troy, OH. Because we are part of the APAC, we are also a non-profit, all of our proceeds go back to the performing arts center.

Are you also the owner as well as the manager?

I manage and operate Ernst Cafe, but we do not have a single owner. Our name comes from the Ernst Family, who generously made contributions to the APAC and are the ones who made it possible for us to be open and operating.

Let’s talk about your menu.

Our menu is relatively simple but we like to get creative and make some drinks with a little bit of flare. We offer specialty coffee as well as baked goods, which are made by our baker, Maddi Klint.

What are your specials for the summer?

This summer we are offering a seasonal menu, on top of our typical menu. Some of those drinks include a Rosemary Honey Latte, Mango Matcha, Chocolate Covered Strawberry latte, and a Shimmery Watermelon Lemonade! As far as baked goods go, we rotate our options to keep things exciting! The past couple weeks we’ve been featuring a peach danish, blueberry muffin, and a coffee cake loaf.

What are your current hours?

We are open from 7am-2pm, Monday-Saturday and we hope to expand our hours in the fall!

I know there is inside seating, is there outside seating for the summer?

We have our own exterior entrance and outdoor seating area. Inside we offer a variety of seating with cozier chairs to sit and relax with friends, large four person tables that are excellent for getting work done at, and a small bench with children’s books and a coloring book to help entertain your littles. On our patio we have four, four person tables, and six, two person tables where you can sit in some shade and enjoy the summer.

Ernst Café stands in the heart of the historic Warehouse District of New Orleans. This district was the commercial and industrial center of the nineteenth- and early twentieth-century New Orleans. 

Following an auction in the 19th century, our historic building repeatedly transformed over time, serving as the home to various New Orleans businesses. In 1902, Joseph, William, and Charles Ernst leased the building and founded Ernst Café, which has now been locally owned and operated for over 100 years. Our unique dining experience allows you to enjoy famed New Orleans cuisine while basking in the city’s captivating history.

As the oldest continually operating bar in the Warehouse District, we’re immensely proud of our local gem in America’s greatest city. Just blocks from Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and a short walk from downtown hotels, we’re situated in a prime location that offers easy access to the famed French Quarter.
