Hayley took over the business with Wayne in early 2021 following a hugely successful career as a finance director and CFO for several companies. Hayley enjoys horse riding and going to the gym in her spare time. All while raising her 2 children.

Wayne Palmer

Wayne founded successful global provider of high-quality technical furniture company, Thinking Space Systems in 2003. After taking up sailing in 2015, Wayne took over Key Yachting in 2021 for a new and exciting challenge. Since he started sailing he has completed 3 Fastnets and raced in many inshore and offshore regattas including Cork Week, Cowes Week, JOG and the Dartmouth Regatta. You can find Wayne out sailing, filming videos and taking selfies for our social media!

Bill Stringer

Managing Director

Bill joined Key Yachting as the Commercial Director in January 2023. He is passionate about helping clients find their perfect boat. His love for sailing started when he was 8 years old, having learnt in a Mirror dinghy in Chichester Harbour. He has been dinghy racing for many years, most recently in a Blaze. Bill’s favourite book is “Born To Win” by John Bertrand, the story of how Australia won the America’s cup. When he’s not sailing, he can be found out riding his bike.

Jamie Joined the Key Yachting team in January 2024 as our After Sales Manager. Jamie has had a lifelong passion for sailing. His career has followed a path of Yacht Rigging, Instructing, Skippering, Fleet Management and Super Yacht Rigging. A natural problem solver, Jamie takes pride in finding the perfect fit for each customer, ensuring they get the best out of their boat. Jamie enjoys yacht racing and has competed in many regattas over the years, mountain biking with his dog Pepper and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Andrew Evans

Business Administrator

Meet Andrew, our newest team member at Key Yachting, who joined in January 2024. He provides valuable assistance to ensure the smooth running of the office, handling business admin, stock management, and logistics. Outside of work, Andrew is a keen golfer, often found on a golf course somewhere trying to get that handicap down.

Harry Tilling

Harry, our broker dedicated to making your dream boat a reality, is an avid sailor whose experience spans from optimists to conquering the Fastnet. With a successful background in university team racing and competing in the Solent, the north-east coast, and Scotland, Harry's connection to the sea is profound. Off the water, Harry satisfies his need for speed in a youth ski team and as an amateur pilot. Armed with a degree in History of Art from Leeds, he brings creativity to his pursuits, often found blaring Led Zeppelin and attempting to emulate them on his guitar in his spare time.

Seb, our broker and yacht design graduate who transitioned into sales after starting in engineering. With a sailing history since the age of 7, he excelled in dinghy regattas, securing a victory at Lymington Youth Week in 2012. More recently competing in the Round the Island Race and numerous Cowes weeks. Seb brings boatyard expertise in outboard repairs and antifouling. A watersports enthusiast, he enjoys summer days waterskiing and kneeboarding in the Solent. In his spare time can be found listening to Jamiroquai and hunting for tickets to their live shows.

Nikki Curwen

Nikki is leading our marketing activities to keep you updated with the latest news, events, and the exciting boats we have on offer. Having grown up with J Boats, she sailed and campaigned her family's J105 for 17 years, specialising in shorthanded and offshore racing, including competing in the Mini Transat 2015. Opting for a slightly more land-based life now, Nikki works with us on a freelance basis. In her free time, you can often find her on two wheels cycling or attempting to master the art of wing foiling!
