We would like to thank you a lot for your great contribution to our wonderful boating vacation we had in Holland. You helped us a lot in giving all the information need about boating, since it was our first boating vacation.

We sailed for the first time in 2006. For the time of year we had very good weather. But we didn’t dare dream that April 2007 would also have fantastic weather in store for us. Together with another couple we really enjoyed the surroundings..

We have quite a few years sailing experience, but this was our first acquaintance with Wetterwille and we are happy to say that everything went really well! The Antares is comfortable and easy to sail. Too big for two people, but

The IJsselmeer, a non-tidal water, is a varied and beautiful holiday area. There is almost always enough wind on this large lake, but you are never far from the coast.

It is also possible to sail to the Waddensea (tidal waters), where you will find a serene calm in a magnificent sailing area, often surounded by seals. You can sail almost endlessly or visit one of the picturesque Wadden islands.

The home port of our fleet is the marina of Andijk. It is situated central of the IJsselmeer. We will be glad, to welcome you on one of our yachts!

Holland has a cool, cloudy and humid maritime climate. Regional climatic differences are determined by elevation and distance inland. The country is predominantly influenced by the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Especially on the coast and the plain, while it becomes slightly more continental in the inland areas. These ate, in turn, windier and have greater seasonal extremes of temperature. Different air masses give the country variability in weather. Holland is an area of the collision between warm and polar air masses. The wind blows frequently, especially in autumn and winter, when there may be even storms.

Summer in the Netherlands is pretty cool especially on the coast, with maximum temperatures reaching 18 °C in July and August. In short, the Dutch summer is similar to that of London. Spring and autumn are cool and cloudy seasons. Spring, however, is less rainy than autumn. Spring is a cool season, in which the temperature slowly increases. Temperatures range from about 4-10 °C in winter. Winter is cold but not freezing, with average temperatures around 3° C.
